Finally finished up the preorder details! Eryns preorder will last from:

15. April till 15. May. Basic colors will be 140$ per doll. Your own custom color (no limits!) is 160$ per doll. There will be (at least!) 5 different resin colors available. There will be 36 variants of eyes to choose from (of course with the option to buy extras!). He'll come with his own soft pouch, certificate and wing cover <3 I'll post more info about the preoorder within the next week. Please spread the word, it means a lot to me <3

theyre a doll chateau noah!! hand for scale lmao. im so excited to paint them but i still need to figure out what i want them to look like. i tried to brainstorm some ideas but it was tricky bc i couldnt find a many examples of the peach skin aside from the swatch photo so i wasnt sure what colors would look good, which in turn meant i wasnt sure what style i wanted to go for... i was pleasantly surprised that it was not nearly as pink as id expected, which really opens up my options!! gonna revisit my sketches today & see what i come up with :)

Why is it that when it comes to small artist preorders, or doll sales in general - it's always the more promising, gorgeous dolls, that don't make it to casting, and the potato looking cvlur clones, that do?

9/10 times I see a promising sculpt being made - it's abandoned, or something, OR in the process of being worked on, loses all it's charm and parts that made it interesting.

Ehehehe the NYC dollcon exclusive is a tiefling doll, and he's available in pink!

That means discount Shakespeare Mercutio bjd *will* be happening! He'll be a smaller scale than everyone else, but I guess that's ok given I impulsively ended up going 1/3 for Vanora and Faolan >< also then maybe he can chill on my desk with me sometimes. Not sure how I'll manage his hair since he has an undercut but that's a problem for future future me xD current me is just excited tiefling won that poll lol

Affordable plastic BJD!

I wanted to share this because I think it seems really cool- I have to say right off the bat I don't own this product so I can't vouch for the quality, but I know the seller KikaGoods is reliable and I did order one, so I'll post a review when it arrives!

In the meantime-- this is a blank PVC/ABS 1/6-scale bjd from the brand LuckyDoll, and it's currently on sale for $30 USD!! The real game changer here in my opinion though- she has a headcap, so you can give her real wigs instead of sculpted hair like most of these affordable blind-box bjds have! That's so exciting to me! I'm so excited to get my hands on her and customize her!

I believe her price is going to increase in the future and this is currently a preorder deal, but I suspect it'll only go up by 10-20 dollars MAX because the blind-box fullset is 63usd. Also there are probably other places to order this doll because KikaGoods isn't the only place to sell LuckyDoll products, Kika is just the one I'm familiar with.

I know that $6-800USD is pretty much the accepted standard for a Western artist resin msd. That said, it is not a small amount of money that most people can just scrounge up on a whim. If you want a successful preorder in this economy, you're probably going to need to drop your price or give them a lot more warning to save up.
