A/N: I was listening to a really ethereal cover of down by the river and starting about reuniting and departing with DJ Shadowheart. I kinda wanted to capture SH's more sensual side in this and yes I know her being a DJ she definately hardcore dommy mommy, but how I consider Selunite Shadowheart Light Silk, I consider DJ Shadowheart dark Velvet. When meetings Shadowheart, you do not look for her, she looks for you.

There's a clearing in the forest that you always reunite with Shadowheart in. Bending down at the creek along the side at the clearing, you reach to dip your hands into the clearing to rinse your face when you see her reflection behind you, eyes glowing purple in the night shining with mirth before dragging you to your feet lightly by the collar.

Shadowheart herself is in a loose fitting silky black dress that embodies the endless dark that she worships.

Ok ok so my headcanon is that Selunite Shadowheart develops a love for swimming, Dark Justiciar Shadowheart develops a love for dancing 💃

To her a dance can be full of passion and life, but all dances come to an end and Just like night orchids, Shadowheart finds that cycle of life and death, gain and loss beautiful however tragic.

She always leads. No ands buts or ifs

Hums or sings a tune next to your ear making sure you're well aware of her breath fanning out across it as she pulls you close.

Always chooses to meet you out on a full moon to spite Selûne with her presence.

When the dance dies down, she'll pull you into her tent (which is soaked in the scent of lavender btw)

Wine glasses are ready to go and she'll propose a toast. Expect a small bittersweet expression to flash across her face before she masters it back to one of relaxation.

As the night goes on expect her desire and want of you to grow, and she starts to get handsy. She's feeling emotional and the wine doesn't quite burn enough for her liking.

She vanishes through the cracks of the window in a dissolution of smoke.

She leaves a small note along the lines of "till next time"

Been toying with the concept of cosmetic ocular flourishes (eyeliner, eyeshadow, etc) as a threat indicator in Chozo warrior spheres and got to thinking about how I typically style eyelids/corners. And Big Commander, of course, because my brainrot is eternal.

I could have sworn somebody else made a post about the same subject, but I can't find it. I vibed with it because, well... same hat. I remember a headcanon regarding Samus wearing eyeliner/eyeshadow not because of human beauty standards, but because of Chozo cultural interpretation of eyespots, large eye structures/markings, etc being intimidating.

In light of that post, here's a sketch dump with a few more bits on Chozo eye makeup re: intimidation tactics from my head + an additional cosmetic alteration, starting with a Mawkin historical figure and their features.

Hethepsu the Perpetual Storm had naturally long lashes (hereditary secretary bird swagger ftw). Not many Chozo morphotypes have lashes in their DNA: they were a boon to her desert-dwelling ancestors. She and her father adorned the tips of their lashes with beads of viscous wash: they'd take the thick, soupy solution, carefully set a drop on the tip of a lash, and wait for it to dry.

Hohara of the Twin Blades was a master of the Black Claw Lattice: swift (occasionally under-handed) strikes were his domain, and he wore flashy, distracting colors to gain an edge over his opponents. His daughter adopted this habit during her apprenticeship to the Greater Ward of the Ghiska fellowship.

Hohara the Elder also engaged in scar embellishment, wherein a Mawkin warrior paints or tattoos the area around a prized scar to emphasize its presence (occasionally adding geometric flourishes because it looks cool).

Raven Beak is not exempt from adorning himself in the name of aggressive glamour.

Raven Beak ft. the ceremonial suit of mirrors. He looks miserable, but he really doesn't mind wearing the big headdress (give him a break, he's got RBF).

I meant to show off a few different ways in which warriors doll up their eyes in the name of threatening fashion, but I ended up just studying eye shape and color. I got one bold flourish in there mid-bottom, but I got carried away with the rest of it. Oops.

A bit hard to dole out your vision when you've never touched makeup in your life, but I'll figure it out.

Another attempt before I got distracted thinking about Mother Brain's extremely one-sided hate-boner for Raven Beak this afternoon. She fancied herself his eternal nemesis while he just thought she was a Problem. Iconic. Girl, slay. Think of all the ways you could position his heart on a platter.

Black Sheep: a Claudia headcanon

This sad Claudia headcanon is tangentially based on one of my favorite horrible details from The Song of Achilles: that in trying to make "a better Achilles" out of Pyrrhus, Thetis makes him Horribly Worse instead, creating the monster she hated most in the world.

Okay so: If Soren was sickly as a toddler, before Claudia was even born, then maybe Viren thought he could use dark magic to ensure that Claudia was "healthier." Standard protective parent vibes ftw!

If he did that, he wouldn't need to worry over her health the way he'd worried over Soren's, or make any more drastic spellcasting that upset his wife, or face any deep-seated fears of being weak and unfit (genetically speaking).

further headcanon: since all the dark mages we've seen (except for Viren with his glamour) have black-and-white hair, maybe Viren used dark magic on Claudia before she was even born, and it turned her hair black. I used to look at the magefam kids and think that Lissa had black hair that Claudia had inherited, but in this headcanon, Lissa's hair is very light and it makes Claudia's black hair stand out even more in the family, as a dark magic effect.

Every time Lissa looked at her daughter, she'd see the black sheep that Viren created while he was trying to create the perfect daughter instead.

Wouldn't your favorite child be the one you'd deliberately created?

Since I hear people have headcanons and different designs and still some controversy about Dr. Bright/Elias Shaw, I'd like to share my headcanons.

Jack Bright ❌ Myro Kirsten ✅ (Myro/Kirst)

Elias Shaw ❌ Devin Meister ✅ (Devin)

Myro/Kirsten: He's a tall, happy man with sharp teeth. His hair is dark orange half bright yellow ombré. It's also in a extremely long ponytail, with spiky vines wrapped around it, like a snake. Left brow is orange, right brow is yellow. His amulet is still the same; however, the only change that happened was the jewelry around it. It's gold, while the ruby is still a blood red. His eyes match his hair, while he has a fang on his left side. Also, he talks in a calm, happy tone.

✅ Has a oversized white lab coat, light brown vest, black tie, white long sleeve shirt. His sleeves on his coat covers his hands, while his hair covers his eyes as well, like a sheep dog.

To be honest, it wasn’t that cold in her previous visits to the hockey arena. She was okay in any of her sweaters this time of the year. And she wore her favorite black sweater plenty of times to know she would be okay. But Rhaenyra isn’t okay right now, feeling cold. She probably should have brought a jacket. Well, it's the last break and then they have a last period of hockey and after that they're going home. The New York Rangers are leading with their 5 scores. They are playing against Calgary Flames with their 2. And  Rhaenyra hopes the whole game will end with the NY Rangers’ victory. Otherwise, Daemon will be a sulking baby, talking about his favorite team lost and that he could have played for the NY Rangers and show better results. Sulking Daemon is a funny thing to watch, but she thinks that maybe not today.

Rhaenyra wants to spend the rest of the evening somewhere at home, his or her, it doesn’t matter. And she won't mind a blanket and a couple of glasses of mulled wine. Daemon will obviously joke again about her looking like a little dragon who is only happy when surrounded by heat. However, as usual, by the end of the evening, he will climb under her blanket too, snuggling with her on the sofa. Thinking of the warmth of the blanket and Daemon's hug, she shudders slightly from the cold.

“Come here,” Daemon tells her and she turns to him: “let me share my jacket with you.” His jacket is just draped over his shoulders like he doesn’t feel any cold. And he's wearing a T-shirt. Brrr. Yes, she's cold. Nevertheless, she speaks stubbornly:

“I’m fine.” Rhaenyra tries to hide her shivers and she thinks she is doing okay. But Daemon chuckles and pulls the jacket back a little more so she can fit in: 

 “You’re shivering, love. Stop being stubborn?” Even his voice sounds warm right now. She eyes him again, and his jacket is rather large. She is always like that most of the time, first denying his nice gestures towards her and the next second taking them. So Rhaenyra grumbles:

“…Fine.” But she rolls her eyes, showing that she doesn’t enjoy it, even though she enjoys it. And she immediately snuggles up to him, her smile is huge and it becomes bigger when he kisses the top of her head. But her smile immediately disappears when she sees the two of them on the Kiss Cam.

“You know they won't leave us until you kiss me, princess.” Daemon whispers in her ear.”

‘Why don't you kiss me then?” She asks playfully and doesn’t expect him to kiss her on the cheek. 

And Rhaenyra had expected that he would start arguing with her, telling her it’s her who should kiss him. Not for him to kiss her. 

It’s just a kiss on the cheek, not their first or the last, but she feels hot and tries to move away from him, but he holds her by the waist and doesn’t let her move away, only bringing her close to him and chuckling softly. Camera doesn’t move away from them too, focused on their faces, and she knows that means the cameraman wasn't satisfied with that. Well, that’s not how Rhaenyra imagined their first kiss, but alas: she turns her head to him and brushes their lips soft and fast. 

Cameraman finally moves from them and she breathes a sigh of relief, snuggling to Daemon and dropping her head so he doesn’t see her blushing  face. She feels he wants to say something, but she shoves his ribs and growls:

“Not a word.”

He chuckles, kisses the top of her head once again and despite being incorrigible, doesn’t talk about it.

Raoul Silva/Tiago Rodriguez Headcanons

In honor of headcanons day, here are some about arguably my second-favorite villain.

He's Portuguese by way of Macau rather than being European. As a result, he speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, Portuguese, English, and Macanese with equal fluency.

He's got multiple sisters, none of whom know he's alive as of Skyfall.

He considers Tiago Rodriguez to be his name. Silva is an alias at best that comes from two of his middle names combined.

He was framed by General Chang when the Chinese stealth technology went missing in early 1997. The timeline lines up exactly with the events of Tomorrow Never Dies.

He's on some fairly serious pain medication more or less constantly and has some leftover health issues from being tortured for five months beyond the obvious damage to his face

His hair is that color naturally.

He was 008 during his time with MI6 - the one that M mentions calling in from Hong Kong during Living Daylights who "follows orders, not instincts".

He absolutely can't drive to save his life nor should he with the said pain meds on board.

His only pet is a small black rabbit.

He's got a playlist for just about everything (yes, including vengeance)

Like M, he's got terrible aim. He prefers explosions.

And of course, I can't do a post about my second-favorite villain without doing another about literally my favorite villain/character in the entire series!

Loves driving but frequently gets relegated to the passenger seat if Bond is present

He's the sort who has names for guns he likes

Comes from a working-class background but hides it now that he's a double-0. That crisp accent is hard-won and slips sometimes.

Alec didn't defect. Instead, he woke up after the explosion and was subjected to torture for months using a combination of physical pain mixed with the kind of drugs they use to cause amnesia during surgery. They'd hurt him, force him to repeat what they told him, and then make sure he didn't remember any of the actual events consciously. They'd then wake him up, "explain" things to him, and let him assume the pain and anger and fear he felt was the result of betrayal. He might never fully remember any of this.

He's allergic to mushrooms and certain other fungi.

He's always been fond of a good explosion.

Reports of his death have been greatly exaggerated. In fact, they're outright lies, because Bond could no more drop him off a satellite than he could voluntarily take a vow of celibacy. Instead Alec spent several years getting un-brainwashed.

He and Bond have a dog named Spring. She's a Staffordshire terrier and they name her Spring because she's bouncing up and down out of boredom when they find her.

On mission, he's all charm and elegance. Off-mission he's a cheesy chips at the pub and cereal for breakfast without bothering to get dressed kind of guy

ok but for real - POV: you're Saul Silva. Your dad died at your hand because of a Burned One, you killed your best friend because he wanted to slaughter civilians, and the PTSD off of both of those things is off the charts, and that's before we get to the bit where you fought a war and had to imprison your former commander for war crimes. You raised your former friend's son because you're a good egg trying really hard to do the right thing.

And then - and THEN - in the space of a few months - you yourself get infected by the same thing that killed your father. You find out that the thing you killed your friend over is maybe not what you thought it was and those civilians were potentially actually enemies after all. You find out that the friend you thought you killed is alive and has been in hiding for 16 years, the commander you imprisoned gets free and has you arrested, and then you find out that your other friend who hides you and who helped you take down your evil commander is the literal Worst and that friend tries to kill you using your former friend who you thought you killed. Oh, and the former friend ends up dead again and now your foster son semi-hates you because you didn't quite tell him the truth about what happened to his dad.

Oh, and on top of all this, your other friend whom you've spent all these years with, who relied on you and whom you loved dearly, is now dead too because of your former commander.

How the fuck is Saul not rocking back and forth in a corner somewhere having a breakdown? How is he even remotely still sane?
