Can I speak of a people perceived in ways grey even as their swagger inspires sway

All have a beginning

Scoot to crawl to walking tall

Running and hoping never to fall

But with self growth stunted a people were distinctly haunted by rumor and dread

Propaganda intricately webbed

For people believe as they hear it told sitting upon grandma's knee bold

And so an entirety was labeled

And truth slid beneath rugs soiled

Justice disloyal

As roots have woven

Tapestries beholden

A people were judged because of words from mouths with deep grudge

A people shamed because they were never truly given a chance to display

Soundless cry

Withering replies

As crosses burned lessons were never learned

And as people swung reasoning begun

The victim blamed

Weight laid

Backs broken

Hopes stolen and remolded

Voice taken to save an image of a nation

And that is the hue that the world has become complacent to

A view to subdue a psyche bruised and confused

But as I speak I renew my love for a people willingly misunderstood

As I walk amongst them continually abused

It is the root all deny

The truth within the third eye

The lie sweet and deep

Resolve weak

It is not the meek that seek

Speak to teach even as no one reaps

Lessons glistening

Hands blistered

Truth splintered

A people splendid

I love the shape language for Machete and Vasco, how angular and pointy the former is VS how round and soft the other... It's so GOOD I adore that

Thank you! I like the contrast as well, it makes them very fun to draw together. I try to keep them visually distinct while still making sure that they look harmonious and complementary next to each other.

so, i’m all for crimson shattered, but i do want to say that i think you should credit the person who started the idea or ask them if it’s okay to use him. i get it, you created the character, but it wasn’t your idea to begin with. even if you change it up a bit, it was inspired by a concept that jumped off of your character.

i’m sorry if this comes across as rude, it’s just the way that i see it. i love your work!

Apologies for not asking to using your recolor. I was kind of inspired by your post with the color palette change I didn’t exactly use your shade of red to avoid like copying your concept entirely.
