Translations: Sthandwa = My love
Tumblr media
The S in Shuri also stands for seat in case you didn’t know
Her facial structure is so pristine and clean cut. Why you may ask? IT’S BC THAT’S WHERE YOUR COOCHIE IS DESIGNED TO BE
Wants to eat you out in her lab, the throne room (ON THE THRONEEEE), on a ship. Literally everywhere
Don’t think about how Shuri practically begs you every morning to eat you as a part of her breakfast
“Sthandwa, as Princess of Wakanda, I decree that you must place yourself on my face in order for me to truly be able to guide my country in the best way possible. I cannot go without it. ”
Just the thought of her tongue circling your clit gives her more strength than the heart-shaped herb
She loves when you choke her with your pussy, constantly moaning into your pussy and rubbing both of her hands over your ass
Breathing isn’t that important anyways
You could see your juice fall down on the sides of her face and make her jaw glitter omg
She would ask you to wipe it off with your fingers and stick them in your mouth I—
Tugging you further and further into her mouth as if she is treasure hunting up your insides
Shuri would force you to always keep your eyes on her
But other times, she would shut her eyes so tight and just focus on how soft and luscious you feel in her mouth and she wouldn’t be able to stop moaning i promise
Being the kinky fuck she is, she may or may not put a finger up your a—
She wouldn’t let you go until you’ve cum at least twice and she would want you to watch her gulp your cum down her throat OMG AH
Constantly shaking her head north south east and west, wanting to catch every part of you in her mouth
SPITS ON YOUR CLIT EVERY TEN SECONDS BC THE S IN SHURI STANDS FOR WHAT??
I think she would also have a thing for biting your clit
Like when you feel like you are going to explode and want to run away, she would teasingly bite you and pull you down even closer or wrap your legs around her head even tighter bc she could care less if she died between your thighs or not
I feel like when she goes down on you, she’s more of a munch vs a fingering kinda gal buttt
Every time she fingers you, it's always three fingers bc she needs you to feel her in all her glory
She likes doing the infamous ‘come here’ motion but at any extremely slow place so you would feel her fingers on your g spot for AT LEAST five seconds at a time
DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG FIVE SECONDS IS???
while doing that, Shuri would move her whole head in circles going in one direction (#zarry) and have her tongue moving in the opposite direction!!!!
SHURI IS A DIRTY GIRL LIKE YALL
Would force you to sit on her during zoom calls and phone conversations
WOULD PURPOSELY SPEAK XHOSA INTO YOUR PUSSY WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO CUM BC IF THAT DOESN’T THROW YOU OVER THE EDGE I DON’T KNOW WHAT WILL
“You better bounce this pussy on my face Princess before I punish you for not being slutty enough for me” !!!!!!
Loves when you grab her hair and force her head up and just GRIND THE FUCK OUT OF THAT STUNNING FACE
WANTS YOU TO BE AGRESSIVE WITH HER SO SHE FEELS SLUTTED OUTTTTT
You would always be seeing her eyes roll to the back of her head and fuck does she look amazing
Would completely blow down to you when you reach back and start stroking her pussy bc your Queen needs attention too <3
Rubbing on her clit or fingering her would literally bring growls out of Shuri likee
She would deliver the hardest and loudest slaps to your ass, and groan like the little bitch she is bc truth be told, SHE LIKE BEING HANDLED LIKE A WHORE
She would grind her hips up to meet your fingers and just whore herself out
“Fuck baby right there ughh” BUT YOU WOULDN’T EVEN KNOW WHAT SHE’S SAYING SINCE HER MOUTH IS VERY MUCH FULL
I can see her wanting to eat you out for an entire hour but “baby you have an entire country to rule”
“yea and somehow this pussy is still more important”
I rest my case

You must think me a fool
Dark!Shuri Udaku x Princess!Warrior FEM reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis: Her people fear her she slaughtered a community just to save them but has she also lost her humanity? Can she force the image of a domesticated lifestyle with you who wants nothing to do with her? To do with a murderer?
"Marry? what reason do I need to marry?" Shuri doesn't take her eyes off of her past projects trying to find some sort of flaw something to update so that she doesn't let herself get completely drowned in her royal affairs. "They fear you Shuri. Do you not care?" Shuri rolls one of her kimoyo beads around in the palm of her hand "of course I care Okoye but I can't parade as if I am not upset my mother-" "your mother would want you to continue your life not sulk and-" "-you are not dora milaje anymore why do you insist on giving me guidance?" Okoye is silenced in this moment because she is right she's not Dora milaje "I am family that's why I persist but please keep acting the way you do and push the only family away you have left. To be the smartest woman I know you surely make the most idiotic decisions when you're upset. Umntwana (a child.)"
~
Shuri has a point to prove so here she sits in the middle of common folks equivalent to a living room but nothing in comparison four pillars on each corner of the room no doors but instead large arched paths that lead you to the next room or a hallway that leads to the next room. Candles light the room instead of lights so it's dimly lit not a lot but enough to see whoever resides in said room. You're nowhere in sight because this meeting as your mother said is "none of your concern" even though you're sure when you hear the truths behind it you'll disagree.
"You want my daughters hand in marriage?" The older lady sitting across from Shuri is astonished because what in the mother of above has possessed Shuri to ask for such a thing? "I don't understand you've disappeared from her life and now you want her hand?" "I'm begging for your daughter's hand I need to fool my people and she is one of the few women I've ever been interested in as a friend or as a potential queen." Shock reads the woman's face and the candles only deepen the creases on her face as she makes a contorted facial expression as she forces her next words "as much as I am willing to do so I don't think she's as willing as I." Shuri keeps her face straight unsure why a friend would not be willing to help her in such a time of need "could I speak to her?" The hesitation reaches the woman's voice before it even spills from her lips "she's... She's sparing maybe another time princess?" Shuri cocks her head at being called the wrong title but it's only momentarily "queen my title is "queen" it hasn't been "princess" in a very long time and I wish to speak with her." Before the conversation can continue and Shuri is given more time to disrespect your mother she goes to say her final piece to her "your people are dying from sickness, your animals too, your greenery can't be taken care of if the people who care for them can barely stand. My people are healthy and strong I wouldn't be opposed to lending you a hand if you lend me her hand." Your mother would never make a decision like this without your knowledge and Shuri knows it but it wouldn't hurt to tip the scale a bit in her favor before she spoke to you.
Shuri doesn't give her a chance to give a response before she wanders out of the dimly lit space into the dark hall feeling her bare feet on the rocks as she approaches the sparring room. She watches for a while as you seem to annihilate some kid with her own weapon when caught off guard you kick the tiny dagger out of the little girl's hand and Shuri is quick to grab it. "You must think yourself a worthy opponent Shuri" Shuri let's her eyes scan you and the white thin cloth that she can't believe you would call a dress "no hugs?" You smile "now why would I hug a murderer?"
"Using the common words I thought the term was a "warrior" I guess you no longer think me a friend?" You gently sign to the child to leave you both be and she does running off on the tips of her toes. "You slaughtered a community Shuri I don't think I can forgive you for that" Shuri nods as approaches you but you still your stance barely noticing the cuts lined upon your arms leaking blood onto the granite floor "it was my people or theirs I was sure you of all people would understand."
"We aged together but I would never murder you know this... You killed. Since when have we done that?" You both circle each other wondering who will pounce first? It could be you with your perfect stance ready to throw Shuri off if she does or it could be Shuri ready to attack if you so far as think to jump. "I was protecting my people!" You shake your head "you were looking for a reason to mask your revenge!" Shuri sighs the breath being the moment of letting her guard down that you just seemed to be waiting for because you grab Shuri by her neck and turn her so quickly she can't get a hold of you. Crouching behind you bring her down with you your knee pressed firmly into her back uncomfortably behind her spinal cord as the other hand stays firmly on her neck "What brings the murderer to my palace?" Shuri gasps carefully her Adams apple bobs beneath the feel of your rough fingers.
"Marry me" you grip loosens just for a moment at the shock of her words and she takes advantage sliding the dagger up your leg and breaking herself free "awukwazi ukuba serious (you can't be serious)" Shuri nods. "I simply need a favor and I shall give you one in return." You shake your head as you hold your leg "no whatever it is no. Absolutely not."
"Your people are dying"
"No"
"Yes"
"Your people are sick"
"No"
"Yes"
"Your people are vegetarian yet I see no greenery what are they eating?"
"Get out." Shuri sighs "let me help" "I don't want your help I don't even know who you are" "I am your friend" Shuri begs you with her eyes but you don't want to hear any words coming from her lips. "Marry me put on a facade and I will feed your people so well they'll be fat. I will help grow the greenery and get rid of the sickness that has consumed you all just fake this one thing for me. Don't be selfish." You sigh and stand up letting the blood drip down your leg "you move different Shuri Udaku..." Shuri says nothing now letting you get your turn to speak "it's not elegant it's not queenly you move like you care for nothing but yourself I'm sure that's true."
"I care about you..."
"You must think me a fool."
~
Within a few hours you're with Shuri on her way back to the kingdom you don't put up a fight after the conversation earlier. The faster you do this the faster your people get better it's sick of Shuri to cut a proposition like this really but it comes to surprise to you that she'd do something so evil. You're right she does move differently. She moves like a queen who doesn't deserve have her throne.
A/n: this took a big turn not even going to lie this was supposed to be some enemies to lovers y'all wasn't even supposed to know each other but once again I took a plot and ran with it. Also very unedited I have some military related stuff just wanted to give y'all something because it's been a very long time and I do apologize for that.

If You Are (Shuri x Reader)
Your kimoyo beads chimed incessantly, forcing you out of your sleep. Groaning, you answered the call, Okoyoe’s hologram unraveling before you. She looked more annoyed than usual.
“Okoye,” You called alarmingly, wondering what the emergency was considering it was late at night.
“What’s this?” She demanded, showing you a digital article. Shuri was photographed looking out of it while exiting a club. Your heart fell.
“Shit,” You hissed in defeat. Lately, you’d been able to prevent media outlets from publishing these stories, but clearly one slipped through. Feeling defensive, especially under Okoye’s commanding stare, you spoke up. “I think the bigger question is, how many more of these can we expect? I can only pay and trade favors with the press for so long.”
Okoye’s expression softned. “We’ve tried to intervene.” There was a long pause before the General sighed. “But have not been successful.”
“Maybe I need to talk to her,” You thought aloud. In your industry, it was advised to not get involved in the personal lives of your clients, but Shuri wasn’t just a famous face. She was a sovereign. Many lives rested in her hands.
“Come with me to the palace,” said Okoye, encouraging your suggestion.
“Now?” You laughed.
“We’re desperate.”
Your job was often non-stop as it was and as you checked social media and other news outlets, you found (no surprise) that this image of Shuri had gone viral. Many were disappointed, while some applauded her for being “relatable.”
“Fine, give me a couple minutes,” You said, getting out of bed.
“As you wish.” Okoye nodded.
You rinsed your face, brushed your teeth, grabbed the health smoothie you made last night and accompanied Okoye to the palace. The duration of the trip was short. Okoye led you to the quarters of Shuri’s room.
“My Queen,” Okoye called.
“Yes.”
“Someone is here to see you.”
“Who?” She said crossly.
“Y/N.”
There was a pause. “Y/N as in my publicist?”
“Yes,” Okoye confirmed patiently.
You heard footsteps and then the door pulled open revealing Shuri with smeared eyeliner. Hickies decorated both sides of her neck in addition to her tattoos. Her curls hung around her eyes, her abs were exposed from the sports bra she wore, and some sweats hung off her hips. It was honestly an attractive sight, raccoon eyes and all.
As if it would stop your staring, you cleared your throat and got to business. “Shuri, forgive me for the sudden visit, but I wanted to check in with you.”
Shuri averted her eyes from you to look at Okoye with a knowing smirk. The General ignored it.
“Whatever,” Shuri muttered, walking inside her room. You stood there in hesitation until she said, “you coming?” You looked at Okoye who gave you a soft smile. Then, she took her leave once you followed Shuri inside her bedroom suite. It was massive.
“Your room is beautiful.” From the moment the compliment escaped you, you wished you could take it back due to the awkward silence.
Shuri stared at you, folding her arms. “Thank you. But that’s not why you’re here. Unless it is.” Her eyes darkened and a smug expression crept along her lips. Heat filled your face and nether regions.
“It’s just a compliment, relax. How’s work?” You sat down on her armchair.
The smirk on the royal’s face faded, replaced with a sharp one. “Work is work. How’s it for you?”
“Exhausting,” you smiled. “You are taking up all my time, and not in a good way.”
“Does it not pay the bills?”
“Shuri, I’m good at my job, and I thought you were too. I can keep covering your mess, reminding the public that you’re still grieving and under pressure, but what are you doing to help yourself?”
Shuri was surprisingly quiet, only peering back at you with a more gentle expression. You just knew she was going to get defensive.
“And I know it’s technically not my place to get involved in your personal life, but it’s affecting business. It’s not just affecting your image. It’s affecting you, the people around you, and your country. Is that what your family would want for you?”
Shuri continued to stare at you, her gaze hardening again, probably at the mention of her family.
“I know I’mma get paid regardless, but I don’t want to see you go out like this…” You added, frowning. “Aw, hun.” A tear slid down her brown cheek. Instinctively, you went over to her and offered a hug. She didn’t return the gesture, but let you embrace her.
It didn’t take long for her to lean into you and cry. “I know I’ve fucked up.”
You tightened your hold, stroking her back. “You can turn it around.”
At that, she pulled away with wild, wet eyes. “I see what my people say, they despise me now. I don’t know if they will forgive me.” Her voice cracked and she threw a vase from her nightstand.
“They say I’m an embarrassment to the nation and they are right!” She cried, throwing a stone this time.
You were torn in between letting her unleash her emotions and comforting her.
“Shuri, that’s not all true. You still have a lot of people rooting for you. They’re just concerned and want you to get better.” You cringed when she threw her Black Panther stuffed toy. “Shuri, please.”
She looked at you and stopped. Silently, she broke down again.
“I don’t deserve to be their Queen,” She managed through her weeping. You guided her to her bed.
“That’s not true,” You admonished, holding her close as she wet your neck with her tears. You let her get it all out of her system for the next forty five minutes. She held you tighter when you attempted to leave her side. Chuckling, you told her you were just pouring her some water. She loosened her hold and sat up, drinking from the cup you provided.
“Better?”
She didn’t answer, just laid on you again, laying her head on your chest. You smiled to yourself at how comfortable she felt with you.
“I want to get better,” she told you.
“Now, you’re not just saying this, and then sing a completely different tune when you wake up?” You raised an eyebrow.
She laughed and it felt like a reward. “No, Y/N. I really mean it.”
You smiled and said, “We’ll see.” Then you kissed her head.
The two of you soon drifted into a slumber.
~~
Shuri was up bright and early the morning. She saw you stir in the sheets of her bed. “It’s about time,” she teased, flashing her glorious smile.
“Good morning,” you greeted before stretching. You were relieved to see that you were still clothed, not that you would have minded bedding the Queen because she was hot. “You troll, it’s only 7.”
She laughed softly. “And I have to be at the lab in two hours.”
Your face asked “and what does that have to do with me?” But then it dawned you. “You’re going to work?”
Shuri smiled, noticing the fondness in your tone. “Yes. But first I want to get breakfast. So, hurry up.”
“Can breakfast wait? I’m still sleepy. I only went to bed five hours ago.”
“Turning down breakfast with the Queen? Suit yourself.” She shrugged and left you alone, exiting her room.
Rolling your eyes in amusement, you dragged yourself out of bed and saw about the clothes you’d packed. You took the most blissful shower and got dressed. When you walked out of Shuri’s room you were met with one of the Dora Milaje, who politely greeted you and escorted you to the kitchen hall. A breakfast feast was laid out as Shuri concentrated on a hologram of her data work.
You snuck in a picture with your phone.
“Did you just take a picture of me?” She said.
“I couldn’t resist. You looked so cute and the people are gonna be happy to see this.” You avoided eye contact now, sending the photo to your work email and forwarding it to one of the assistants at your PR firm.
The lingering silence caused you to look at Shuri whose eyes hadn’t left you.
“Cute, huh?”
“Come on, Shuri.”
“You come on. Put that phone down and eat.”
A jolt ran through you because something about that response was sexy. First, the amazing shower, now the mouth-watering breakfast—and your now seemingly healthy client, your day was off to a good start.
“So tell me, Y/N, and please don’t feel like this is a job interview or something because it’s totally not…”
You found her rambling endearing.
“What made you get into PR?” She asked.
Leaning back, you bit the side of your lip and lightly clapped. “Okay, so, once upon a time…naw, let me stop. I don’t know, I just always liked the idea of helping promote people who have something to offer and when I watched Scandal, I was obsessed with how Olivia Pope was a fixer.”
Shuri smiled, following your story. She listened attentively, paying attention to your personality and mannerisms, as you revealed more parts of yourself. You were far more interesting than any of the handful of women she’d been involved with lately. Then again, she hadn’t bothered to get to know them outside of touching and tasting them.
You giggled to yourself at how Shuri’s eyes didn’t move from you once. It wasn’t creepy either. You liked having her undivided attention. “How about you? Did you always want to be this badass scientist? I feel like I asked you this before, when we first met, but…” You shrugged.
“No, it’s okay,” she encouraged. “And yes, I was always a nerd. A cool nerd, thank you. For fun, I used to pretend to be a ruler like my mother or brother, but I’ve only ever been excited about designing and making things. And helping make things efficient for others.” She sipped her apple juice afterwards. Then she glanced at her watch. “Aw man, I hate to cut this short, but I really gotta go to the lab.”
“Just when it was getting fun too,” you pouted playfully, garnering a smile from the other young woman. “Thank you for breakfast.”
“How was it?”
“Ugh, five stars. Do you eat like this every day? I’m jealous.”
“You could too.” She smirked, boldly looking at you.
You opted not to back down. “How? Are you moving me in?”
“If you play your cards right, I might.”
She was your client. She was not supposed to have this affect on you. Yet, she did. It intensified when you confronted her a week later about a viral video of her grinding with a famous singer in a club.
“We were just dancing!” She stressed over the phone.
You weren’t trying to hear it, however. You go back to the states for one week and she already found someone new to entertain.
“That is not the kind of dancing rulers do in public,” you argued.
“You are overreacting. I’m still young and got caught having a good time, so what?”
That wasn’t helping. You felt yourself burning up.
“Whatever, Shuri,” You growled and ended the call. Deciding you desperately needed to calm down, you chugged down a bottle of water. An annoying buzzing little object flew around you. When you cut your eyes and opened them, you found Shuri standing in your home.
“Sthandwa, you’re so angry you’re shaking…” She reached for you but you snatched yourself away. “What’s got you like this, hmm? What’s wrong, baby?”
You scoffed at the pet name she so conveniently used. “You don’t need to be here.”
“…That doesn’t answer my question.” She tilted her head some, eyeing you, also checking you out. Her tongue ran over her lips and you sucked your teeth at her not so subtle freshness.
“You are such a ho.”
The Queen almost choked “…Excuse me?”
You were just as shocked that you spoke those words. They were a product of your mind being that Shuri chose to be in a plethora of women’s faces. However, maybe you had gone too far. After all, you were just her publicist, not her girlfriend. It didn’t matter that you thought you two had been building something.
The beater and low-hanging baggy pants wearing woman approached you with a steel gaze that produced a flash of fear. She was the Black Panther after all. You better had been scared about what she could do to you.
“I’m only letting you get away with that because I know what this is really about,” she let you know. She was so close her minty breath caressed you.
“I’m sorry,” you practically squeaked. She hadn’t even touched you and you were punking out.
“Don’t worry, you will make it up to me. Like I said,” she replied, holding your neck firmly. “I know what this is really about.” Her whisper was taunting, cunning even.
“What’s it about?” You mentally cringed at how that came out. It bordered on a moan.
She tugged your head back some. “Jealousy.” You felt her lips against your temple when she spoke. You whimpered. Involuntarily of course. This was embarrassing. You normally weren’t so easily worked up. “You were jealous, right, Y/N?” She asked in her honey-toned voice. This time she caressed your nape, sparing a sympathetic look at you before leaning in to the tip of your ear. “Answer me.”
Exasperated, you admitted that you were in fact jealous. Shuri mockingly pouted before smiling. She lightly massaged your throat as you breathed in her divine scent. “I’m sorry, baby. I wasn’t trying to make you jealous.”
“You weren’t?” You huffed in disbelief.
“No, not at all,” she chuckled. “I wished she was you the whole time. And I went to bed alone that night. And the night before that.” She pecked your nose softly. “And the night before that…” She pecked your eyebrow. “And the night before that…” She brushed her lips down to yours.
You grabbed her shirt and boob by extension, pulling her into you. You kissed her furiously. She kissed you back slowly but just as passionately.
~~
Tangled bodies and sheets was the experience of your morning. Shuri who was nestled into you, warming you with her body heat and soft skin, lightly snored. You marveled at her beauty, how perfectly shaped she was, from her face to her legs, her rich skin, gorgeous curly hair, and the sweet and sexy combo of her intoxicating scent.
“Why’re you staring,” she mumbled.
“How did you know?” You laughed because she hadn’t even opened her eyes. Then it dawned on you. “Panther abilities.”
She hummed vaguely, this time resting her cheek against yours. You giggled and she smiled lazily. “Play with my hair,” she requested.
“I’ll play with something else too,” you smirked.
“Oh, you wanna go? Say less, Y/N.” She began to press her fists into the mattress, caging you in. Instead of being nasty, however, she attacked you with kisses. You rolled over moments later so you were on top, restraining her hands.
“I don’t know if you can still be my client,” you said after you stopped playing around.
“Damn, you’re dropping me?”
“I just don’t know if it’s a good idea to mix business with pleasure.”
“Haven’t we been having a good time?” She gazed up at you adorably. Then she sat up. “Come on, tell me what’s on your mind.”
You were falling for her hard and fast. While you had prayed for love to come into your life, you had your concerns. Was Shuri the one? Or was she going to be a lesson?
“I don’t want to get hurt,” you finally admitted.
“Neither do I, princess.”
Meet Epiphany. Shuri was not the only one who possessed that power. She was vulnerable as well.
“You’re so right,” You said, laughing some.
The royal kissed your cheek and held your hand. “I’m down to see where this goes if you are.”

In Me (Erik Stevens x OC)
Tumblr media
Warning ⚠️: SMUT (18+ Material)
Prompt: “Should I give you something else? Something you could keep inside you for the rest of the night?”
A/N: clearing out my drafts so to speak. Enjoy ya nasties.
Formatting on mobile. 🥲
___
She reached up on her toes, her hands clutching at his shirt and nosed around for a kiss.
He looked down at her with a confused look before avoiding her advances as he’d been doing the whole night.
The couple had been invited to a yacht party for one of their mutual friends' birthdays. The room was filled with suave wealthy black folk and they couldn’t be more comfortable.
Since they Alicia had been pawing up her man incessantly. She loved Erik in a suit. It was almost like she wanted him to mount her right then an there with how incessant she was being.
He wouldn’t want to consume her in public. Not like this. He wouldn’t grant anyone the opportunity of seeing his girl in the haze of pleasure. That was his alone to see.
The music still played in the background and she grabbed his hand. She threw a quick “we’ll be right back” over her shoulder and flashed a smile over to her friends.
Dancing her way through the crowd she led him to the lush powder room on the other side of the yacht. Once they entered she tried to push his back against the door and take possession of what she wanted — his month — stroking the inside of her mouth expertly.
Instead he grabbed her arms and spun her around and walked her to the column in the bath room and pressed his weight against her. He used one of his legs to push her flush against the column. She was now pressed against the wall.
“Calm down.” He spoke the low request into her ear and her body began to thrum with need. She shivered.
“I want —“ she began but before she could finish he cut her off.
“You think I don’t know what you want?” He asked.
How could he not know? She was his girl. He knew her like he knew how to dismember a body. Expertly.
Her body was tense against the wall still and she squirmed against him. He placed his hand at the curve of her back and pushed her hips against the wall.
“Alicia, relax.” There was no question that this was not a request.
She had no choice but to relent.
Almost immediately she released the tension she was holding and became much more malleable.
“There you are.”
He ran his nose up the column of her neck letting her sweet perfume fill his nostrils. With one hand pressing against the curve of her back he used the other to unbuckle his belt.
“What’s got you feeling so hungry huh?” He asked.
The sound of his belt made her clench in want. Was he going to use it to discipline her? Was she going to love it?
Unknown to her, he very much wanted to be in her. He really wasn’t interested in prolonging their play. Her begging and fussing had given him a semi a while ago. In this moment, he was a mere man who wanted to satisfy his basest desires.
When she heard him lower his zipper she couldn’t help the “please” that slipped from her lips.
While pulling out his member from his boxers he placed more of his weight against her. He wanted her to feel him through her dress.
She gasped.
“I know baby girl.”
His hand skirted under her dress and palmed her bare ass.
“This dress makes you look delicious.” He spoke into her ear while pumping himself to life.
“I wore it for you.” She whispered. “ I wanted you to like it.”
When she got like this. He didn’t know how to contain himself.
“I know baby. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. I love it. Thank you.”
The praise had already got her into a blissful headspace.
He bent down to kiss her cheek and pressed himself into her warm heat slowly. He groaned internally and released a deep sigh.
Fucking paradise. She clung to him like a second skin. The moan she let out was obscene.
He used one hand to grip the back of her neck and the other to snake around her body to lay flat against her abdomen. She was going to feel all of him today.
Then he began his slow languid pace. Erik had been drinking and Hennessy dick was something else.
He was going to enjoy his woman tonight.
He slid his hand up her stomach to cup her breast lightly.
“I love these.” He murmured lowly in her ear. His hot breath tickled and sent a shiver down her spine. She couldn’t help but clench against his thickness.
When his expert fingers found her nipple and tweaked softly she gasped.
“More.”
He bent his face to kiss the side column of her neck once more.
“Anything you want baby.” He began to thrust into her at a stronger pace. Still languid but more powerful, more intentional.
He slid his fingers down her body and they found her clit. He began lightly stroking while he whispered expletives into her ear.
“You begged me for it. Now you have to take it baby girl.”
She was almost beside herself. He knew how to work her body and the exact words to say to get her sopping wet.
“Erik” she breathed out almost urgently. Her body was already primed for release.
She’d been getting worked up since they left home. Every one of her advances had been avoided until now.
“Erik please. I need…” she gasped once more.
“What do you need baby girl? Tell me what you want. You know I got you.”
At this point his pace was brutal. His fingers toyed with her clit and she knew she was close.
“I need to cum.” She gasped out.
“That’s good to know. Thank you for sharing sweetheart.” He responded with amusement coloring his voice.
She moaned and her hand shot out to grasp his forearm. It was all the warning he needed.
“Please can I cu—“
“Go on sweet girl.” He prompted, into her ear.
Her request was cut off with her orgasm. It crashed into her unexpectedly as he placed both of his hands on her breasts and pulled her close to him.
She came down softly almost with the words “thank you” leaving her lips repeatedly like a prayer.
Erik held her up. He wasn’t done with her yet.
“Where do you want it?“ he asked, thrusts more restrained.
“In me.” She panted.
“Sweetheart that one was obvious.” He continued his pace holding himself at the brink of orgasm.
Erik had rock solid control. She couldn’t say the same for herself. She could already feel the pressure building up again. She held into his forearm. It was the only thing keeping her upright.
“Do you want to taste me? Feel my cum in your mouth and sliding down your throat?” He kissed her neck once more.
“Erik.” She begged, gasping out his name and clutching to him tighter. .
“Or should I give you something else? Something you could keep inside you for the rest of the night? Something that could slip from your pretty hole so you can be reminded whose pussy this is.”
She couldn’t help the loud moan that slipped out of her mouth at the visual.
He swiftly clamped a hand against her mouth muffling the tail end of her moan.
His head snapped over his shoulder at the door. He didn’t remember if they’d locked it.
“Come on baby girl let’s make sure we don’t invite the whole boat to our party hm?” He commented, eyes shooting back to hers. She didn’t have a care in the world. With the blissed out look on her face he knew she’d do it again.
He slid 2 fingers into her mouth and she sucked them earnestly.
“God, you are a wonder.” He shook his head to focus on the task at hand. If he let himself dwell on that he’d finish sooner than he wanted to. He didn’t want that.
“Mouth or otherwise baby girl?” He was a mere man and his woman was driving him crazy.
“In my mouf.” Her answer came out garbled due to his fingers stroking her tongue.
“I didn’t hear you sweet bits.” He kissed the spot behind her ear still pumping himself inside her with barley restrained vigor.
At this point tears were streaming down her face. He had kept her on the brink of orgasm for far too long and she was close to her breaking point.
“Please cum in my mouth daddy!”
That one got him. She never used the word but the state she had to be in to ask like that? Yeah. That was good.
He let his hand slide down her body from her breasts to her panties and his fingers found her clit once more.
He shifted his strokes. Once, twice and she was moaning against his hands in earnest. Her orgasm took over and her knees buckled. She went almost limp in his arms.
He slipped out of her and shifted to hold her body up.
“Down on your knees angel. Let me give you what you want.” He wanted her stable and primed to get her reward.
She was still vibrating from her orgasm but sank to her knees without issue.
He gripped her head and rubbed his wet tip against her lips. He pushed himself past the folds but didn’t sheath himself fully inside her wet waiting mouth.
“I can — “ lifting her arms in an attempt to grip him.
“Shhh. You had yours. Now let’s have you make yourself useful. I’ll use your body as I please to get off. And you’ll like it. I know you will.”
She arched her back almost involuntarily. When he spoke like that she couldn’t help herself.
With her knees spread on the floor Erik was met with an almost obscene view of her sex that caused him blow his load right then and there.
He groaned to himself. And watched as his cum coated her lips and teeth.
Shock covered her features and she ran her tongue over her bottom lip and sucked her lips in.
“What a pretty picture.” He mused. His thighs were pretty sore but it was so worth it.
He bumped his now soft member against her mouth again and stroked her hair.
She took his head into her mouth and sucked the remaining precum from his tip before he tucked himself back into his boxers, pulled up his pants and fastened his belt.
“Don’t move.” He commanded. He looked around the lush bathroom and went to grab a white washcloth from the basket of stacked clean linen.
God bless the rich.
He ran the towel through with warm water and took a knee to clean her face and between her legs gently. When he was done he kissed the inside of her thigh.
“All done.” He shot her a killer smile before offering her a hand to stand up.
He watched silently as she stumbled up before fluffing her hair and pulling down her dress.
He held out his hand to her and before they could walk out she stopped them.
“I want a kiss.” She said avoiding his eyes.
He raised an eyebrow. Her gaze flickered up to meet his and she was almost shy.
“Can I please have a kiss?”
He’d just dug out her guts and she had his cum dripping from her lips but asking for a kiss was what was making her nervous.
“Of course you can. C’mere baby girl”.
He grabbed her by the waist and held her close.
Their eyes locked and he couldn’t help but look away.
When her eyebrows crinkled she let out a “What?”
“You’re so good damn beautiful mama.”
He then captured her lips in a searing kiss.
“Was that all you wanted?”
She peered up at him with a smile and nodded.
“Yeah. But this was good too.”

“You know you saved my life, right?”
- a drabble (I'm back 🤭)
Tumblr media
Ramonda
Tumblr media
"You know you saved my life, right?"
You turned towards your wife at her words, baring a smile only she could get out of you. “Oh, did I now?”, you asked playfully. You were a renowned Dora Milaje in your own right, but personally saving Ramonda had never been something you recalled doing. Not that you wouldn't jump at the chance to if the moment arrived. It just hadn't happened yet. And you were glad to keep it that way.
“You did.” she replied truthfully. Going in to hold her hand, you found her face growing serious, as though she were seeing the memory of this so-called ‘saving’ and it wouldn't leave her mind. You found yourself growing hesitant at your previous answer.
Had there been a moment where you'd saved her from something?
In your mind, she was the one constantly saving you. Stopping you from being hasty in dangerous attacks. Making sure your armour was on correctly, even while knowing you'd never put it on recklessly in the first place. All she did was save you. Or, at the very least, try to save you.
“When did I save you, my love?” you asked, bringing her hand to your lips, and kissing it gently. Her serious expression melted at that, and you could tell that you'd just soothed a craving in her. so, you did it again.
In any other moment, she would have let herself get lost in the physical contact. Let herself forget that anyone but you existed. But she had started a conversation; an important one. And she wanted to finish it.
“It's not a singular unit.”
“So you're saying I've saved you more than once without any recollection of doing it? Was I sleepwalking or something?” you tried to joke. She let out her silk-filled laugh, the smoothest of sounds. One that never lasted quite long enough for your liking. Especially now.
“I'm serious, Y/n.” she tried again. You let the confident act go, wanting to hear what she actually had to say.
“I didn't know where my life was headed before I met you. I mean, I knew I had a nation to lead and protect. But that was my life as queen. I had no idea where regular Ramonda’s life was going.”
You smiled at that. Regular Ramonda. It was strange to hear her say that. As though her regular self was somehow less of something to fawn over. Regular Ramonda was your everything. She was the reason you held your head up so high. She was your first thought in the morning and the sweet song that lulled you to sleep every night. There would be no Queen Ramonda without Regular Ramonda. And that made her so much more special in your eyes.
“But then I met you.” she continued, “And all the missing pieces came to make the life I have now. The life we have now”
You saw the stars in her eyes at that. Stars that had been there since the moment you'd first set your eyes onto the stunning woman. They were perfect. She was perfect.
“That’s got nothing to do with me, Ramonda.” You started.
“But it does, sthandwa sam. It all does.” She moved closer, the stars becoming even more clear to you.
“You saved me before anyone knew I needed saving. You held me up before even I knew that I was on the verge of falling. Your existence has lifted years of burden off of my shoulders and replaced them with enough good memories to last a lifetime.”
You hugged her at that point, holding her up once more.
“I'll never be able to thank you enough for that, Y/n.”
“You wouldn't ever have to. Some gifts are happy coincidences given to deserving people. And Ramonda, my darling, I've never met anyone as deserving.”

K’uk’ulkan x Black reader
Translations: I used translators for these so if they’re wrong please let me know.
Umakhulu- grandmother- Xhosa
In eek’e’- my star- Yucatec Maya
In reina- my queen- Yucatec Maya
**********************
After a nice walk along the river, where Y/N proceeded to tease him about her mother’s words, Namor wanted nothing more than to kiss her. Her skin glows under the light of lanterns and lamps that line the river. And the added moonlight? She’s absolutely ethereal.
Noticing his eyes on her, Y/N giggles and looks up at him.” What’s the matter? You’re looking at me as if…as if I’ve hung the moon in the sky.”
“I don’t think that would be hard to believe.” He muses with a smirk that sends her heart racing.” Oh please. I can do many things, but not that. I’m far too young for that anyway. My umakhulu may know who did though. Or at least someone who was around when it happened.” Y/N then purses her lips and shakes her head.” On second thought it might be in the archives.”
As she begins rambling K’uk’ulkan can’t help but chuckle. How cute. She’s begun reciting facts about the moon and her family.
‘’Mother is the youngest of 14 children. The youngest twin, but umakhulu miraculously had twins with each pregnancy. From the stories I’ve heard it’s safe to say that that there was never a dull moment in that house.’’ Y/N says with a laugh gaining one from the great god-king as well. Seeing her happy makes his heart swell and fill with adoration. Is it love? It just might be.
‘’And what do you think of children?’’ His voice is low and has grown husky as the image of his eek'e' round with child. Oh how beautiful she’d be.
The question surprises Y/N so much that she stops in her tracks and looks at him in shock.
‘’Like if I want children of my own or in general?’’
K’uk’ulkan smirks tilting his head to the side.’’ Both.’’
Feeling her face grow warm, Y/N looks down at her feet too embarrassed to meet his eye. While she enjoys his bluntness it still surprises her and leaves her speechless. ‘’Well…yes. I want children when I find the right person and they are joys to be around.’’ She chuckles and lifts her head giving a shy smile.’’ As for how many…I think I’ll decide that after the first one.’’
A gasp leaves Y/N’s lips as the god-king gently wraps his arms around her waist pulling her closer before taking her right hand, lifting it, and kissing it.’’ And how do I get you to say yes to me? To be mine? You would be worshiped and praised as is your right. The people of Talokan, our people, would see you as a queen, a goddess, and a mother.’’
His declaration reminds her of her mother’s own words spoken to her only a few hours ago. Music can be heard even this far from the party but it’s a nice steady rhythm that has Y/N swaying as she gets lost in her own thoughts. Looking up at the handsome man in front of her, Y/N searches his face.
‘’And what about you? What will I be to you?’’
He pauses and looks to be speechless for a moment before chuckling and pulls her so close that Y/N swears she can feel his heartbeat. Kissing the palm of her hand his lips slowly move towards her wrist. Just like when they first met.
‘’Now what kind of question is that? You will be my sun. My moon and the stars. You will be my goddess and I will worship you day and night. Every word that falls from my lips will be nothing but total praise and adoration. I swear this to you.’’ As he says this he moves his face closer to hers, their noses touching. Closing her eyes, Y/N whimpers, her heart hammering in her chest.
‘’What is it in eek’e’? Speak to me.’’ His lips now find their way to the corner of her lips causing goosebumps to erupt on her skin.
‘’Yes.’’ She breathes out before she can really think but then again does she need to? Her mother was clear. They will be together, but that’s not why she said yes. She said yes because she wants that future. She wants to love and to be loved. She wants him.
‘’Forgive me, but I didn’t hear you.’’ Y/N feels his lips lift into a smirk against her skin as she groans. K’uk’ulkan laughs and kisses her cheek,’’ Worry not in eek’e’. I’m only teasing.’’ He coos making her giggle.’’ Don’t be mean to me or else I’ll send you away.’’ Pulling away the god-king raises an eyebrow.’’ Send me away? You wouldn’t dare.’’
With a smirk of her own Y/N crosses her arms and turns from him beginning to walk back in the direction of the party.’’ You don’t know that K’uk’ulkan. I will banish you back to the ocean and you shall never return.’’ A growl sounds behind her and she fights back a laugh only to squeal as she’s pulled back into the god’s arms.’’ Banish me? Would you be so cruel to me in reina?’’ He kisses her neck, holding her tightly his beard tickling her in the process. Laughing, Y/N squirms out of his hold and makes a run for it.
‘’I would!’’ She calls out over her shoulder only to let out a gasp when she sees that the king of Talokan quickly gives chase, seeming to not care if he is caught having fun. If this was to be Y/N’s future then she wanted every single part of it and she would not accept anything less.

A/N: Hi! It’s been awhile. Only a month or so but still. A lot was happening with family emergencies, and it sort of sent me into writer’s block. I’m back tho! This is a little shorter than I would like for it to be but I hope you enjoy and hopefully the next chapter will be up soon. ❤️

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: riri williams x Black reader (feminine) summary: it's the first home game of the season and majorette dancer riri is excited to hear the roar of the crowd in the stans. too ad her number one fan is stuck working. wordcount: 3.1k warnings: rated 18+. minors dni. cursing. not beta’d (that’s a warning in itself). let me know if i missed any! dedications & credits: originally inspired by dominique getting ready for carnival in a couple videos that @axailslink posted a few months ago. hbcu!shuri and hbcu!riri live rent-free in my mind so i went with it. not gonna lie yall, i'm not the happiest with this, only because it was supposed to be longer. every time i tried to expand on it, it just didn't feel right to me which is why the ended may feel a bit abrupt. there might be a part 2 in the future (or a stand alone that could be read in connection to this), but for now, i hope you enjoy.

she looked so fucking gorgeous.
it was a little after five when you arrived to riri william's on-campus apartment, smirking up at the small yet advanced security camera she had rigged in place of a key. though you were a little skeevy about facial recognition and have your face scanned into the ether, you trusted her...and you loved being able to pop in and out of her place whenever the desire was there.
you didn't have much time before your six o'clock shift, this weekend being mandatory for all bartenders and not to brag, but you were one of brimstone's best. hell, you should've been. you had worked there since you were a freshman, unable to drink, but more than capable of keeping the liquor flowing and charming your way into extra tips.
ending the door, you headed towards the open bathroom door, your feet stopping as did your heart the second your gaze landed on the beauty that was your girlfriend in makeup. your approach had gone unnoticed, riri's eyes closed as her best friend viv continued to pat the beauty blender up her cheekbones, across her forehead, her back to you.
"oooh, bitch, i'm scared of you," viv had said, giggling as she put down the orange sponge egg, grabbing the setting spray.
a fine mist sprayed from the clear matte bottle, giving your girlfriend's skin a dewy cast. white teeth flashed between nude painted lips as she laughed, the sound your favorite melody.
you shifted in your position, leaning against the door frame content with watching your shawty get pampered in peace. she didn't always do this. between her classes, "side hustle", and working on her inventions, riri rarely had the time to press pause on life that was long enough to take time out for herself. honestly, the only time she really allowed herself to get dolled up, outside of date night with you, was during football season.
as a fly girl, a majorette on your university's dance team, there were certain level of self-maintenance riri was required to sustain and while during the off-season that meant she was focused more staying conditioned for the next season, the end-of-summer through winter window was when your girlfriend spent more time (and your money) getting her face beat, her hair styled and her nails filled in.
not that you were complaining. you would never complain about doing something that made her so happy, her inner glow was physically visible to the naked eye. you be able to provide that for your girl? it made you feel favored and fortunate.
except on nights like tonight.
though subtle, your shift in movement caught her best friend's attention, eyes glancing up at you through the mirror before going back to the task at hand, rocking her weight back onto her left leg.
"looks like i ain't gonna be the only one scared tonight," she said, swapping the setting spray for a black and white circular hand fan, viv flicking her wrist back and forth, the gentle flow of air speeding up the makeup application drying time.
"whatchu mean?" riri asked, her head tilting slightly, perfectly scuplted brow quirking in interest.
"'cause with the way your girlfriend is lookin' atchu right now, anybody try to step to you tonight finna be scared for a whole 'nother reason."
you couldn't help, but laugh, throwing your head back; first, because of viv's commentary, but as always, your attention was never too far from riri. she chuckled before her friend's words fully interlocked cohesively in her mind, eyes opening immediately, knowing exactly where to look to connect with your own. your pink tongue dragged across the plump of your bottom lip as you settled into the full intensity of those brown eyes focusing on you.
"hi baby," she said sweetly, soft smile spreading into a wider grin.
it was clear from the alertness in her eyes, she hadn't expected you to stop by. honestly you were pushing it pretty close since it was a ten minute drive to brimstone, and you still needed to head back to your apartment to shower and get dressed, but if you were stuck working all night, surrounded but a bunch of horny, drunk, and high people, you damn sure were gonna make sure you saw your baby first.
hopping down off the bathroom sink counter, she side-stepped viv, arms immediately wrapped around your waist. careful not to ruin her best friend's hard work, you nudged her chin up, full lips coming down to press against hers, supple as always.
"hi beautiful," you said, pulling back just enough to mumble the words against her duo-tone lips before capturing them with your own again.
"uh, yeah, girl, i'll meet you downstairs in like twenty minutes."
you barely heard viv as she grabbed her things and left, your attention solely on the young woman who had captured your heart a year and a semester ago. her hands toyed with the hem of your shirt, fingers brushing against the velvet of your skin as your hands shifted to the sides of her head, fingers threading themselves in her microbraids.
you pressed your lips against hers a couple more times before pulling back a few more inches to just look at her, taking her in. she used to hate when you did that, stared at her like she was the most precious thing in the world, as if just having her here proved the existence of magic and miracles.
these days, things were different, her gaze now a mirror, reflecting back a love so deep you could free fall in it and never touch to bottom.
"you so damn pretty," you said, shaking your head slightly as if her beauty were an insult, lips curling upwards into a smile at the way she beamed at your compliment.
"thank you mami," she said, leaning up to press a kiss to your jaw before letting you go, turning to clean up the leftover mess on the counter. "so...how long are you mine for?"
her tone was played casual, but you knew how to see beyond the dramatic lightness of her words.
"forever and a day, but..."
you approached her from behind, hands brushing the terry fabric of her robe as they wrapped around her waist. you buried the rest of your statement in the space between her neck and robe collar.
"...unfortunately i have to leave in, like, five minutes ago."
"right now? are you serious?"
you didn't even need to glance in the mirror to see the downturn of her lips though she revealed it to you, half turning in your arms to meet your gaze.
"you really can't make it tonight?"
you sighed softly, the slump of your shoulders obvious. you hated to disappoint her.
"i wish i could." your bottom lip poked out for a second, mimicking her pouty facial expression. "brian's making everybody touch the clock this weekend and since i didn't work last night..."
your voice trailed off, hand on her hip smoothing down over the curve of her ass as you leaned back in for another kiss, this one searing with memories of just how the two of you spent your night off. you weren't the only one still drunk off recollection, a throaty moan vibrating against your lips the second they touched hers.
all too soon, you pulled apart, a sigh falling from between her painted pout, and not the kind of sigh you loved to coax out from her.
"but you have to go."
you could see her trying to keep the disappointment out of her voice, the urge to kick yourself growing stronger.
"i have to go," you confirmed, the hand on her chin moving down to mimic your right, ten fingers splayed against the soft cotton covering her ass. "but text me where you end up after the game. i'll come find you after my shift," you promised, eyes staying locked on hers for a moment longer, waiting for her nod in agreement.
her eyes fluttered closed as you pressed a kiss to her forehead, right hand coming down to slap her left ass cheek, the contrast in action drawing a gasping giggle from her and a smirk from you as you made your way out her dorm apartment's door.
Tumblr media
yeah, you made a mistake coming in to work tonight. it wasn't that it was boring, not per sé, but at 7 o'clock, it was still pretty early. the only people at the bar were those who couldn't get tickets to the game and with a stadium who's capacity sat at 20,000 people, that number of fanatics without was relatively low.
still, you weren't bored. you'd just rather had been somewhere else.
like at the stadium cheering your hbcu's football team on at its first home game of the season...and watching the love of your life shake her ass with a touch of class in the sexiest uniform you've seen in your four years of attending.
the worst part about it was that you hadn't even seen riri wearing it in-person, instead only getting 8-second glimpses of it on the social media stories of her dance sisters. the last one had been a casual version of the fly girl sway, complete with attitude poses and your favorite thing to see her wear, a smile.
fuck, you had to get out of here.
it took you two beer replacements and an appetizer sampler platter to come up with an easy, but fail-proof way to get out of a shift with a guy like brian. it wasn't hard to find him, the older man hiding away in his office, no doubt watching the game's live feed on his laptop.
your knuckles rapped sharply against the door twice, your boss' head snapping up immediately as if he had gotten caught doing something forbidden. he was so busted. you coughed once to hide your amusement.
"uh, hey brian, i know i just clocked in like 2 hours ago, but i gotta go home."
if anyone knew how to frown with their entire face, it was brian. even his nostrils seemed to display disappointment in your words.
"and why exactly is that?"
"it's personal."
"so is having a job and working your intended shift to totality."
how you didn't roll your eyes at his bullshit was beyond you. instead, you looked away, left then right, weight shifting back and forth as your shuffled on your feet. after the moment of awkwardness you purposely created, you peeked up at him, grimacing.
"so my cycle just started and there's bl-
brian's work-weathered hand came up to stop your sentience from continuing to completion, just as you knew it would. this was a fifty-four year old man who took his tmi very seriously, which made it pretty easy for you to exploit in emergencies like this.
"just go, but i expect you to prepared to pick up some extra hours next weekend."
the not-so-veiled threat barely made it to your ears the way you rushed back down the hallway, feet squeaking against the titled floor as you narrowly missed a busboy in your haste. you rounded the corner of the small break room, using the term "room" loosely. deft fingers spun the silver combination lock, the tumbler dropping the base so you could pull open the creaking metal door and grab your backpack from the bottom. yanking at the ties of your waist apron, you pulled out the folded bills from the front pocket, the meager tips you managed to earn in the almost two hours of your shift, before shoving the apron and your lock into your bag.
a loud clang sounded in the room as you closed the door, your feet already in motion towards the entryway and then out the back door.
you contemplated whether or not you should change before heading to campus, your work uniform of black jeans and a black fitted black t-shirt not the worst fit in world, but still nothing close to your usual style. a glance at the clock on the dash told you that if you wanted to see riri's lithe form dancing her heart out, the outfit change would have to wait.
it was a good thing you decided to skip it, too, since the parking lots were full. the packed side streets and grass lot parking had you wishing you had finally gotten your motorcycle license.
turning the block the stadium was on, you could hear the roar of the crowd. you wanted to believe it was for your school, but since the opposing team's school was only two hours away, it wouldn't have surprised you in they had fans attending by the bus-load as well.
just as you were able to say "fuck it" and risk parking in front of the two-hour meter parking you knew was located a couple streets over, a bright orange sign caught you attention, the word "media/press parking" in bold, black block lettering. a smirk formed on your face as you cut your wheel in the new direction.
the roar of the crowd near deafening as the home team gained 20 yard, only 10 more yards to go to widen the score gap with less than two minutes on the clock before half time, . squeezing through the slow walking and talking bodies, your hand gripped tighter the canon dslr camera that hung from the leather strap adorning your neck, backpack straps trapping the "campus media" badge and lanyard close to your chest.
you had never been so grateful to have joined the yearbook club a year ago, an extra curricular supplement to your photography minor. the navy blue and platinum silver badge pretty much let you get behind the scenes of any school event, which you used to your advantage, flashing the plastic card at the security guard blocking the tunnel gates before slipped past him.
you carefully maneuvered your way along the sideline towards the home team's side of the stans, grateful the that violence of the game was taking place at the other end of the field. it would be just your luck that you got all the way here just to get tackled by a defensive player trying to take down a running back.
honestly, you couldn't care less about the game, about the screaming fans and the hyped up players near the bench waiting to take their turn on the turf. your eyes searched the stands, instead, easily landing on the twelve dancers sitting poised, one leg crossed over the other as the band behind them transitioned into a new tune.
holding up the camera, you took a few test shots of the fly girls, thumbing quickly to adjust the settings before bringing the viewfinder back up to your face. you couldn't help but zoom in, catching candids of your girlfriend as she waiting for the dance captain to start her lead-in.
glancing over your shoulder to be sure you were still in the safety zone, you refocused on the task at hand. since there were already other campus photographers on the sidelines, you technically didn't have to get photos of the game, but you weren't going to break cover now, not after you busted your ass to get where you were standing in the first place.
you snapped another photo, looking down at the digital screen with a frown, not exactly happy with the aperture priority. fiddling with the dials, you glanced up at the stands again, head bobbing as your eye caught the dancer next to riri giving her a nudge and pointing in your direction. speedily, you lifted the camera back up to your face, index pressing down repeatedly as you captured her reaction to your presence. shifting the weight of the camera to your left hand, you raised the right, returning her enthusiastic wave before catching the kiss she blew at you with a smirk.
Tumblr media
riri was literally glowing.
the energy in the air was electrifying, supercharged, after the Bruisers took the W, keeping them undefeated at the start of the season. thankfully the teams, band, and dancers were allowed to clear the stadium before the fans, event staff such as yourself following behind.
leaning back against the sleek black of your audi r7, you settled in to wait for riri to exit the blue double doors. honestly, you didn't mind letting the thousands of people fight their way out of their spots and onto the road. you were in no rush, giving a polite smile or wave as familiar faces as they cleared the press lot.
the slight bite of the cool breeze stroked against the bareness of your arms, your hands sliding back and forth to warm them despite the perfectly working heaters on the other side of the car door. just as you were about to give in and sit inside, the petite woman emerged from the double doors, her eyes scanning the busy lot until she found who she was looking for.
you.
it was as if a switch had turned on, the way riri brightened up the moment her eyes landed on you. a smile stretched wide across her face. legs kicking dramatically behind her, she half-jogged in your direction, both hands tucked into the kangaroo pocket of her oversized h--- wait, that was your hoodie. as well as your sweatpants, tied tight to her waist though still baggy on her hips.
"you missed me that much you had to steal my clothes?" you asked, pulling her into your arms.
leaning into her, riri's back bowed slightly as you pressed your full lips to hers, arms pulling her in closer as your lips traveled to her chee bones, her nose, her forehead. her laughter stole her breath as she gave it to the wind, pearly whites to the sky as she grinned.
"well i didn't know if you were comin' or not so i had to do what i had to do." she shrugged, eyebrow quirking as she stood bold in her truth, in her blatant desire to have you close.
"well, i'm here now so no substitutes needed, aight?" your hands slide away from her as you moved to open the passenger side door for her. "so where we headin'--yours or mine? i know you prolly wanna shower before we hit up some parties and i damn sure ain't wearin' this shit out tonight."
eyes never leaving her frame, you watched riri glide into the front seat with the gracefulness only a dancer could have.
"we can head to yours. i think my 90's lakers jersey dress is over there and you got the perfect jordans to go right wit em too."
there wasn't anything to say to that, nothing to do but to chuckle and shake your head as your fingers pushed the door closed. there was security in the way riri was so confident in her ability to just assume your things as hers. pride would swell in your chest seeing her swimming in your clothes, her healthy appetite and habitual exercise routine aiding in the appearance of her natural petiteness. not to mention that shit turned you all the way on.
it never felt unappreciated in the way her presence carried over into your personal space, not with the way the invitation was always mutual.

Test Subject
Tumblr media
You're having fun just observing your girlfriend work until she wants you to try out a new invention.
Shuri Udaku × fem reader
Tumblr media
You sat on the work table as you watched Shuri move back and worth, fixing an equation, testing an algorithm, welding something, printing something. The process in which her inventions are made were fun to watch. You occasionally went on your phone to scroll through posts or watch news. And sometimes you would even get you two food.
She took spoon fulls as she worked, and you would feed her if she didn't want to be distracted. The both of you built up a routine while in the lab. She worked and you would occasionally help her. If she had a meeting, you would just monitor the printer. At some point she let out a sigh and took a seat in a chair.
"What is wrong, love?" You questioned. Her hands rested in her lap and her eyes studied the mechanism in front of her.
"The mechanism has a high chance of failing." She stated sternly. "Well test it." Her hands went to her mouth, biting at her nails. You saw her eyes light up and looked over at it. You knew that look to well. You folded your arms over your chest.
"We've been over this." You breathed out. She made her way to you and held your hands. A pleading look plastered on her face. "Usana." She cooed. "It will only take a minute." You looked behind her at the workspace. "It's something for your own suit, Shuri." You sucked your teeth. "And your suit kinda scares me." You trailed off at the last part.
Shuri couldn't hold her laugh in. The fact that her own suit scared you said alot about it. She loved it, but almost found it amusing. "It'll take 2 seconds, please!" She begged even more. You looked into her eyes and couldn't resist anymore. "Fine." You sighed.
"Yes!" She jumped up.
She stood you on a platform and made any last touches to the suit. You looked at yourself in the mirror, touching the black and gold embellishments carefully. You turned around for her to make sure the back was fine. "You know, you should wear this more often." Your girlfriend said as she checked you out. You turned your waist and hit her gently earning a giggle in return.
"Okay now turn to me." You turned around to look at her. "Now put your arms out in front of you." You lifted your arms carefully. "Now, listen to me carefully. The force of the blasters can break your arm." Your eyes widened. "What?!" She chuckled.
"I do not mean to scare you love, but it is true. Open your stance and bend your knees for more support." You followed her orders with your arms still out in front you. "Now, there is a sensor in the palm. Press it firmly when you're ready to shoot." You nodded. "Don't do it yet!" She screamed fast. You turned to her shocked. "Bast! I'm not going to kill you!" You let out.
You watch as she brought out a test dummy and set it in front you. She stepped back and pressed her kimoyo beads, recording you. "Okay go, be careful."
You nodded. Nervous wasn't a word that could describe what you felt in the moment. It took all your strength and pride to even make it to this point. You took a deep breath and squeezed your fingers into ur palms. A blast shot right through the dummy. Shuri jumped in excitement.
"Let's go!" She ran to the test dummy checking the damage. A hole straight through it. Only thing she didn't see was the blast that went through your body. You felt as though someone shocked you with electricity. Your vision slowly turned black and your hearing became foggy. Shuri running to you was the last thing you saw.
...
You hear the sound of Griot speaking faintly. "Heart rate back to normal, returning to consciousness." Your eyes meant the ceiling of the lab. You felt the bed beneath and saw the holograms of your vitals around you. You sat up on your elbows. "So it didn't work?" You said faintly. Shuri turned around immediately.
"Y/N I'm so sorry my love. You know I never wanted to hurt you. I just wanted to test it out. I should've listened to you. Are you hurt anywhere?" She cupped your face turning it side to side. You giggled at her concern. "I am fine, darling. Do not worry. It was a success, no?" She sighed and smiled. "Yes, but I care about you right now." She kissed your forehead.
You held her wrists. Her concern and selflessness made you fall for her the first time and continues to make you love her even more. You were just glad her tests were successful.
And that you were alive.

Anniversary Surprise

Riri Williams x reader
-
Summary: Riri has a surprise for you on your anniversary trip back to Wakanda
Warnings: None i think, just fluff
Word count: 820

You and Riri decided to take a vacation for your 1 year anniversary back to Wakanda. You were very excited to be there again as you missed your sister along with many of your friends that lived there. “Heyy little sis” Shuri said, opening her arms for a hug. “I missed you so much” you breathed. “Where is everyone else?” “They’re already at the salon." You, Riri, Nakia, Okoye and Shuri would be spending the morning at the nail salon. "You two should definitely get matching nails," Nakia suggested. "For sure!" Riri replied quickly.
After the five of you got your nails done, you and Riri left the group to walk around the city. "How are you enjoying your vacation so far baby?" Riri said, smiling at you. "It's going well, I'm really excited to be spending the week here."
The two of you spent the majority of the day exploring the shops and buying new clothes. "We should wear these tonight" Riri suggested, lifting up matching rose gold and silver dresses. "What's with you and matching today?" you said looking at the two dresses. Riri just shrugged at you. "I think they're really pretty though, let's buy them" You said, taking the two dresses from her.
After the two of you bought your outfits for the night, you both returned to the palace to get ready. Almost immediately, Shuri showed up in your room. "Can I borrow Riri for a second? I wanted her to help me with this project" "Already? Shuri, we have the whole week for Riri to assist you in your lab, we have to get ready." You said pouting. "It'll only take a second, I promise," she pleaded. "Alright, alright, you two better not be late" You replied before going to take a shower.
Upon exiting the shower, you saw that you had a new pair of earrings and a necklace sitting on your bed, with a note reading. "Wear this with your outfit - Riri ;)" You smiled, putting them on before looking at yourself in the mirror. The dress complimented your curves and stopped mid thigh. You fixed up your hair and rode with Ayo to the restaurant.
----
"Are you sure everything looks okay?" Riri asked, walking up and down the room, checking over the flowers she had set up around the balcony. "Yes, don't stress about it, y/n will love it" Nakia said, grabbing Riri's shoulders, stopping her from pacing around. Riri sighed, taking a deep breath. "They are here," Okoye from the dining room. Riri ran outside to greet you.
"Hey baby, I told you I'd be here on time" she said, wrapping her arms around your waist and kissing you. "You look good Riri," you replied when she let go of you, smiling at her. "Same to you baby, you look GORGEOUS" she said kissing the corner of your lips this time. "If y'all are done, we should probably go and eat, the food is about to be done." Shuri said playfully, rolling her eyes at the two of you.
After a night of catching up with everyone at dinner Riri suggested that the two of you go out to the balcony and look at the stars. When the two of you reached the hallway she covered your eyes. "I thought we were just stepping out for a second…?" You asked her, following her lead. When she uncovered your eyes you gasped. The balcony was covered in your favorite flowers and there was faint music playing in the back. Not to mention the beautiful stars and Wakandan that you could see from there. "This is beautiful…" you said turning around, only to see Riri down on one knee.
“Y/N. We’ve been together for two years now, and I've been thinking about this for so long. But I can't see myself without you, you are such a big part of my life and I wanna spend the rest of mine with you. Y/n, will you marry me?"
"Yes!" You breathed, nodded eagerly, tearing up a little before jumping into Riri's arms and giving her a hug. Wrapping your legs around her waist. Riri kissed you as she slipped the ring onto your finger. The two of you stayed there for a moment, foreheads touching, looking into each other's eyes. "We should probably go back and tell everyone" you smirked at Riri.
Upon walking into the hallway, you saw Nakia and Shuri standing in front of the two of you. "How long have y'all been-" "Did she ask you?" "Yes" you smiled widely, lifting up your hand to reveal a beautiful ring. "I told you she wouldn't chicken out." Shuri said, jabbing Nakia a little bit, before laughing. The four of you came out of the hallway, Shuri grabbed your hand lifting it up and yelled, "MY LITTLE SISTER IS ENGAGED Y'ALL". Okoye, Ayo and Aneka coming up to congratulate you.
A/n: Yes I am alive y'all 😭😭 hopefully y'all like this, I've been struggling with writers block for like two weeks so

Yours (Shuri x Reader)
AN: Okay, this is so explicit it might not even make the tag. But I hope those of you who get a chance to read it enjoy it. This is a one-shot about Shuri coming back home to you and you both showing each other how much you missed the other.
Tumblr media
18+
It’s while you’re washing dishes that you feel a body press against you from behind. The embrace is strong, warm, and familiar. A series of gentle but reassuring kisses is placed on your neck, shoulder, and the scope of your ear.
“My love,” her delivery of those two words is what honey would sound like if it could speak. You grin with your heart because you are reunited. The duration of your separation lasted two weeks too long, so needless to say having your woman return was the highlight. Shuri brightens as you turn from the sink to greet her properly. The mug you were scrubbing is an afterthought.
Her tender laugh reverberates through you as you launch her into your arms, fiercely hugging her. A soothing hum vibrates between you as she begins to slowly sway you both. “Did you miss me?” It almost sounds like a whisper.
You pull back to find her eyes delicately sweep over yours. An infectious smile follows. “You know I did,” You answer, holding eye contact. The only thing she didn’t know was how much you missed her. It bordered on punishment being robbed of waking up to her and going to bed with her.
She nods like she does know the full extent of your pining. Her hand caresses your face as she continues to admire you. For her, it is a privilege to be near you again. Her lashes flutter close as she closes the gap between you, gently laying her lips on yours before kissing you. You follow her lead, which is tender and lingering. The kiss builds into want and need. You could swear that she has become an even better kisser than before.
The need for air is the only reason your mouthes detach, though you can still taste each other. Her breath is yours and yours is hers. “I missed you so much, entle, I could cry.”
You crack a smile because it sounds dramatic and you love it. How special it feels to not be alone in your unyielding passion for her. She rubs your curves before squeezing them. Her dark curls tickle you as she leans her forehead to yours.
“Wanna show me?” You ask lowly, stroking her nape.
Her expression changes into a dark smirk. Before you know it, you’re being carried upstairs to the master bedroom.
~
Shuri shows you alright. She mashes her hips to yours, your moans also in sync as her vibranium strap burrows deep inside you. She grunts at your spasms, the literal gripping sensation causing her to buck even harder. Your eyes shift around and your mouth hangs open as you let her thrust into you with all she’s worth. She’s doing so good it doesn’t even need to be said.
Eventually, you get the idea to hold her firm, so that’s what you do. You seize her smooth bottom to keep her in place. Her face is deliciously sexed out as she meets your own starry eyes. You lovingly hug her waist with your legs before pressing down hard on her ass. She gets the hint that you don’t want her to move anymore. The question is why. Her breasts are pressed against yours and it feels like heaven. “Fuck,” you say and it sounds so lovely that Shuri grins.
“Do you need a break, baby?” She asks. Being considerate of you is true to her fashion. Smiling, you shake your head no, which confuses her a little. You bring her into a tender kiss and grip her hair purposely coaxing a moan out of her.
“Cockwarm,” you whisper against her lips. And just like that you feel the technology advanced shaft flex inside you. Droplets spill from the tip that is pointed deep within you. Her moisture mixes with yours.
Shuri curses in Xhosa and groans in your neck like she’s helpless.
“Be a good girl and keep it hard for me,” You coach and slowly seize her ripe buttocks. It’s like every other part of her body: richly soft and smooth. “If you keep it hard, I’ll let you move as rough as you want.” Shuri bucks into you again making you smirk. You sigh in bliss as she bites down your earlobe. “Stop moving, babe. I didn’t give you permission yet. I promise you can soon, okay?” You melt when she acknowledges your direction with a nod and whispered, “yes.”
“Just let this pussy hold you. Take care of you.” Shuri hisses, straining herself to stay still. You can feel her rock hard nipples and the tip of her shaft leaks like a faucet, the drops becoming thicker, lubricating you further. One thing about you and Shuri, you both enjoying driving each other mad with stimulation.
After a moment, you slowly lift your waist, your tight hold on Shuri’s rear remaining. You continue to move unhurried, swirling your hips.
“Baby, please,” Shuri begs into your neck.
“Please what?”
“Let me fuck you.” She intakes another sharp breath as your walls clasp around her with extra force yet again. “I know you want it…let me give you what you deserve, baby. Come on.” You feel her grunt in your toes as she not so subtly adjusts herself against you.
You frown with mock sympathy. “I love when you get needy for me. You just can’t wait to bust that load, huh? Fill my guts with that delicious cum. Are you gonna give me a big load?”
“Y/N! Yes!” She desperately surges forward. You swallow her animalistic whining with a dizzying kiss . Too overcome, she can’t hold the kiss. She drives into you again and again like a starved panther, the bed moving as well from her strength. It’s beyond her. Her body drills yours at un unstoppable pace that has you feeling like you’re on one of those intense rides at the amusement park.
“Shuri! Oh, baby! Breed me, breed me!”
You feel her tears from the overwhelming and prolonged pleasure as she does just that: what feels like a gallon of spunk is being emptied inside your pretty and addictive hole. You cream her excessively as well, your body shuddering in the process.
Shuri rolls onto your side and brings you into a dreamy kiss. “You are amazing,” she says with a smile. “Even though you tortured me.”
With a lighthearted laugh and lazy smile, you lean into her kisses. “You are amazing. I think that’s the most you ever came. I should reward you.”
By that, you meant restraining her arms as you rode her long, thick member that sprung inside you once again. She knew you liked seeing her overstimulated and at your mercy so she played into it.
“Damn, baby…at least let me touch you.”
“You are touching me,” You reply, grinding down on her and then pinching her nipples with an impish smile.
~~
To say that your lady looks sexy between your legs is an understatement. You had her licking up the cum she had deposited inside you. Of course she was feasting upon your combined juices. “Is it good?” You ask, providing her with soothing strokes along her neck, back, and shoulders. She nods, continuing to use her mouth. An eager thing she was too. “You dirty girl. Do you fill me just so you can taste yourself afterwards?” Shuri pauses her ministrations before giving you a look. You can’t help but laugh knowing she’s thinking you’re filthy. But she likes it.
She comes up and kisses you greedily yet generously, making you taste what she’s been tasting. You slow the kisses down with gentleness, proceeding to your next move. You guide her so you have a direct view of her pretty pearl that you had purposely neglected despite depriving yourself in the process. “I didn’t even get to taste you yet. A shame, huh?”
Shuri runs her hand along your hair and strokes your jaw. “Get to it,” she says making you gape in surprise. You smirk but waste no time diving in, appreciating how tight and wet she is for you only. Those raunchy noises she makes are only for you.
Your name is the only name she calls when she orgasms and blesses your stomach with her essence.

Hey. I'm sorry to ask this, but my mental health isn't doing so good lately. Ramonda is my comfort character. Could I maybe ask you to write something where she takes care of a F reader who struggles with nightmares about a past abusive relationship? Maybe she holds reader, and promises reader will always wake in her arms?
~ Holding you tight tonight
Queen Ramonda x Female Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: There comes a time when one must be honest about their past. When your turn arrives, Ramonda's more than ready to listen.
Author's note: I am so sorry this one took long to deliver in particular. I wanted to get it out quickly for the beautiful anon (I hope you're doing okay now, though) but I had some bad avoidance with writing for the past few months. Luckily, I'm slowly getting there. I hope you enjoy. Tell me how you like it.
Word Count: 6.2k
Angst, Hurt/Comfort
Warnings: A little Self-deprication, brief mentions of past abusive relationship, tears and panic
“You don’t have to leave places where you are wanted, merely because other places have rejected you” - Anda
“My queen, we are home.” Ramonda heard the words of the General from where she sat. They were on the quinjet, with Okoye flying it.
She looked up, having been too preoccupied to notice the horizon of her home country coming into view.
Okoye, noticing the obvious absent-mindedness of the queen, turned to look at her. Seeing that she’d been writing something down, she raised a brow.
“Are you planning something, Kumkanikazi?”
The queen, smiling now at the notes she’d been making, nodded her head in confirmation. “Just something special for me and Y/n.”
At the mention of your name, Okoye needed no further explanation as to why the queen was preoccupied. In the three years that the two of you had been together, if it was about you, she knew that Ramonda would be going above and beyond.
The same went for what she was planning right then. Simply put; it was a date. One where you and her would spend the evening in your shared room, or out in the garden, just enjoying your reunification.
Ramonda had been out on travel for a few weeks, unable to see you. It felt like a foreign concept, being away from you for so long. She’d been lucky enough to have rescheduled any travels when you’d just moved into the palace, not long after she’d proposed to you.
Though you were familiar with being in the palace since even before your relationship started, she still wanted to make sure that she didn't leave you alone until you were comfortable. Surprisingly, she made it 4 months before her travels could no longer be postponed, delegated or cancelled.
Though you’d assured her that you’d be okay, she’d still stayed worried from the moment she left. The nightly calls that you had to check up on each other became less about her updating you on how the alliance proceedings with the other nations were going, and more about you reassuring her that you were okay.
With all that time away from you, all she wanted was to be close to you. To refresh the fading memories of small things you did. To see the creases by the edges of your eyes when you smiled. To hear your boastful laugh whenever she said something you thought was comical.
She wanted to see you in your happy state. Doing all your happy state things. And the best way she knew how to get you there was with a date. Just you and her.
“Do you think you could dismiss all the Dora working on our wing of the palace tonight? I know she’s not a huge fan of them being around in the later hours.” Ramonda went on to ask, unintentionally including Okoye in her date planning.
Okoye went on with what she said, letting her throw ideas out to see if they sounded okay. By the time the quinjet landed in the royal hangar, Ramonda was sure that she had a finely planned date on her hands.
The two women were met with Aneka standing outside of the vehicle, smiling in greeting. With pleasantries out of the way, Ramonda continued looking down at her notes, Aneka on her left, and Okoye on her right.
“What have you got there my queen?” the former asked.
Ramonda angled the notebook towards the other woman, letting her read off of it.
Aneka nodded in understanding, a soft “oh” leaving her lips as she smiled at the revelation.
Though most of the Dora were close to the queen, sharing a respectful bond with her as their ruler, some of the Adored Ones got more than just that. Some, like the General, or even sweet Aneka got those glimpses of unprofessionalism. The hints of times when Ramonda was no longer the queen of the nation. Rather, just a friend who talked about the love of her life just as any other person would.
“How is she?” the queen found herself asking Aneka. The call she’d had with you only hours before seemed promising enough but she still needed an outside witness of assurance.
Aneka seemed slightly stumped by the question, looking for words that usually came quite easily to her. Okoye, knowing how lacking the woman could be in subtlety, cleared her throat as a signal; get to the point, soldier.
“She’s well!” She quickly let out, in a higher pitch than she normally spoke in. Seeing the pained look of embarrassment on the General's face, she tried again. “She looks refreshed… is what i mean. Very well rested.”
Ramonda sighed at that, relieved that her absence hadn’t brought you sleep problems. You’d looked beyond tired when she’d left, and she’d spent many hours worried that her departure was the reasoning for this.
She didn't notice the look of concern taking over the General’s face at Aneka’s words.
“Aneka…” the General started to speak, angling her head to the side. Another signal. What actually happened?
The normally outspoken Dora Milaje grew nervous at that, making it very obvious to even the least vigilant that there was definitely something missing from her story.
Unfortunately, Ramonda wasn’t being even the least bit vigilant.
Her body and mind were elsewhere as they entered the palace, making their way to her living-quarters. She was searching for you in anticipation, waiting to see your frame enter her view and brighten her day.
When she finally did see you, unknowingly coming out of your shared room to her and the Dora looking at you, she was overcome by relief.
“Y/n. My love.” you raised your head, knowing that voice as coming from one woman and one woman only.
“Sthandwa sam…” you let out breathlessly, a surprised smile coming to your face as you approached her.
Ramonda wasted no time separating from the two women that had accompanied her to go to you. The two of you were reunited in a warm embrace.
“You’re back early.” you expressed, taking in her serene scent and light energy.
“The last meeting was cancelled so I told Okoye that we should leave early and surprise you.”
You laughed at that, “I'm sure she was all too pleased to hear you talk about me for weeks on end.”
“She’s polite where she can be, but she’s definitely sick of hearing your name.” you both laughed at that.
When the two of you finally detached from each other, She took a good look at you. You looked just as Aneka had described. Refreshed and well rested. Ramonda found herself looking at you in complete amazement.
She never could get used to looking at your beautiful face and knowing that it was all hers to look at.
She looked at what you were wearing, noticing that you were still in more formal attire.
“Do you have somewhere to be, my love?”
“I was just rushing here to find something I forgot for work. I still have to go back.”
Ramonda nodded in understanding. She smiled at you for a little while longer, holding your hands in hers for a moment before fully letting go of you.
“I’ll be back by 6.” you said, before leaning in to kiss her softly. She remained with a smile plastered on her face, now having a lingering tingle on her lips.
“I’ll see you then, my love.” Ramonda said, kissing you once again for that euphoric feeling before letting you go on with your day.
Though she usually grew slightly sad when you had to work long hours, in her mind now, this gave her plenty of time to prepare everything without worrying about whether you would catch her or not.
With her mind back onto her original intentions for the day, she turned to where she’d last seen the two Dora that were with her. Surprisingly, she was met with only Aneka behind her, wearing a rather guilty look on her face.
“Where did Okoye go?” She asked, gaining only more hesitation from the Adored One.
“I informed her of a task that needed to be done… elsewhere, My Queen.”
“Should I be worried?”
“No, no, not at all. Everything is well with the nation, Queen Ramonda.”
Feeling satisfied enough with that, Ramonda breathed out a sigh, returning back to her warm and loving expression. She let out a chuckle or two. “Good. I was starting to think you already needed me to leave for another nation again.”
Aneka tried her best to give off the same lighthearted emotion, but failed as her eyebrows creased in worry.
Ramonda entered the room finally, trading her more uncomfortable pieces of clothing for some more homely attire.
Once in the clear, she announced her decency to Aneka, who further let herself into the room. She watched as the queen went about looking around at where she’d place everything for later on in the night, and the thing that had been on the tip of her tongue seemingly since the royal figure had arrived finally came to the surface.
“You know, Queen Ramonda… there was actually-” She stopped when the queen looked directly at her with intrigue. Suddenly feeling the weight of her impending words. “There was something that I meant to inform you of when you first arrived. Something about when you were gone.”
“The Dora didn’t wreck another one of the training rooms, did they? Ramonda laughed to herself, clearly not noting down the tension building in the room.
“No,” Aneka tried to laugh off with her, but then realised that she needed to get to it before she missed her chance, “It’s about Y/n.”
Now, Ramonda was focused. “What about her?”
“Do you remember how you told us to keep an eye on her for the first few days just to make sure that she was okay?”
Ramonda nodded at the question.
“Well, we did that. Or at least I did that. I always did a morning, afternoon and evening visit just to see how she was coping. But after a few mornings, I noticed that I would catch her coming into your room rather than leaving.”
“Like she was waking up early?”
“No. Like she was breaking back in after sneaking out.” Aneka clarified. Ramonda’s expression grew serious at this implication.
“So what you’re trying to say is…”
“What I'm trying to say is that I don't think Y/n spent a single night here after you left. I didn’t ask her, so I could be wrong, but I think she went back to her house by the river.”
Ramonda sounded speechless, “I thought she sold that place.”
“I did too, but according to the people who lived near her, that place was never sold.” Aneka went on to explain, as she’d spent a significant amount of time talking to farther away residents of the river. People who likely lived closer to your old home than they did to her and Ayo’s.
Aneka approached Ramonda in worry now that the news was out. Fearing that she’d grow sick from stress. Instead of welcoming the approach though, Ramonda waved her off. “I’m okay, Aneka. I just- I need time to think about this. You can have the rest of the day off. I’ll sort all of this out.”
“Should I still tell the others to leave this side of the-'' Aneka asked, unsure of whether this meant the date was cancelled.
“Yes. Everything will proceed as intended. I just need some time with her. Alone." She emphasised, feeling herself grow more uneasy at her own assertion.
The still worried Dora Milaje nodded, crossing her arms over her chest once before leaving the room.
Without the added presence, Ramonda felt herself starting to see the room she was in with a new perspective. She sat on a chair, looking at the grandly sized place in its totality.
It was clean. It smelt of potpourri. Strong potpourri. The type of strong that could only be achieved for a few minutes after a deep clean. Before the scents would shift to more signature ones owned by the bodies that entered the room.
That scent wouldn’t be there had you been living there. Not unless there had just been a deep clean, and as far as the queen knew, that wasn't on schedule for the day.
Looking then at the bed and the tables that laid on each side of them, she had another realisation. The drawers, the tables, the bed; they all looked untouched. Not lived in.
Had she been so caught up in wanting to make you feel at home that she'd slowly chased you away? That had to be the answer. You told her everything. She'd have known if you had affairs to attend to that required weeks of sleeping elsewhere.
Though her mind briefly thought of possible infidelity, she took that off the list of possibilities faster than the time that the idea took to formulate. This matter didn't involve anybody but the two of you.
This was a personal matter.
And if Ramonda knew one thing about confronting personal matters with you, she knew that it took 3 things. Time, patience, and a little nudge.
Tonight would indeed proceed as she'd intended. This date would be her nudge.
She just hoped she wouldn't push you too far.
Tumblr media
“Hm.” Ramonda heard you sigh next to her. She looked in your direction, a smile spreading across her lips as she watched you try to form words.
“What?” She asked, eager to know what that hum meant.
“Nothing,” you laughed, your hand finding hers instinctively. “I just didn’t think this would have been your favourite movie.” you pointed your head towards the tv screen that showed a stream of naming credits relating to the movie you’d watched.
“What did you expect, my love?” She questioned, raising your intertwined hands to her lips; kissing them gently.
You felt yourself shift closer to her warm body, leaving a large gap on the side of that bed that you’d been on only moments before. You snuggled up close to her, cuddling her as you looked at your intertwined hands.
“I didn’t expect anything, specifically. I just didn’t think romantic comedies were your thing.”
Ramonda let out a full belly chuckle. Short, direct, but loving. Kind of how she'd been the entire night.
“Don’t I look like the romantic type?” she asked, and after being met with your playful hesitation, “I planned this beautiful date, didn't I?” you nodded at that.
“And it was good, wasn’t it?”
You looked up at her, the distance between your lips suddenly becoming noticeable to you. And though you knew she was asking the question matter-a-factly, your want to kiss her after the effort she’d put into the day felt like the most appropriate answer.
Your eyes being fixed on said lips told her everything she needed to know about how you liked the day, but still she waited. Wanting to hear it from you directly.
“You did, sthandwa sam. And it was a good date.”
WIth your stamp of approval, she relented, letting her excited smile escape from its regular confinement.
You had a feeling that she'd wanted to get everything just right tonight. And though you’d been dating for a while, you knew that she still felt that hesitation that surrounded you all the time. You sensed how much she wanted to give you a day where none of that hesitation was needed.
You hoped that the way you’d been looking at her all day gave her some type of reassurance that she'd done her duty well. You hoped it made her feel certain enough to ignore whatever she might have heard from the others.
You'd seen Aneka and Okoye speaking when you'd first seen Ramonda earlier, and although all your attention went to your fiancée, you weren't as oblivious as she was in relation to what they were likely talking about.
Okoye had gone down the same hall path as you, choosing to catch up to you when you'd both left the conversation.
"General Okoye." You nodded and smiled at her as you walked.
"Y/n." She acknowledged.
You subtly tried to attempt walking at a brisker speed, failing to do so without catching the General’s attention. She matched your pace at every increase, even letting out a few chuckles at your sad attempt to get away from her.
"Do you need something, General?" you asked, finding yourself slowing down to accommodate a comfortable walking conversation.
"No, but I feel inclined to ask you that same question."
"If I need something?"
"Mhm." She nodded.
"Well, I don't believe that I do."
She looked at you sceptically, "Is that so?"
You were nearly at the doors to the palace, knowing that this conversation had to get somewhere if you wanted to make it back on time for the rest of your work shift.
You fully stopped walking, turning to Okoye, who did the same. "Does it look like my answer should be on the contrary?" You huffed, getting frustrated.
"That's not my place to say. What is my place to say, however, is that whatever you may or may not have needed while the queen was gone was observed by more than just yourself." She pointed in the direction of where you'd left Ramonda and Aneka.
"I don't know what it is that happened, but my advice to you would be to give her details before she starts coming to her own conclusions."
She left you with only that, a soft smile of concern planted on her face as she went on with her required duties.
That one sentence had sent chills down your spine, your mind stuck on it for the remainder of your afternoon, and most of your night.
Now, you still thought of what she'd meant. On whether it was what you thought she meant. That you'd been found out in that one way that you'd somehow kept secret for so long.
Now, looking at how late it was, your anxiety grew to its peak.
That old hesitation that you'd been trying to hide for the whole night caught wind again, strengthening enough to peek through your once smiling face. Now a frown plastered itself on your lips.
“It’s getting late.” you said bluntly. More to yourself than to her.
“Are you tired, sthandwa?" Ramonda asked, drawing. circles on your arm with her free hand.
You nodded.
“We can go to sleep if you'd like. Three movies seems like more than enough for one night.” She smiled at you again, loosening her hold on you to pack everything up for the night. You watched as she rose from bed, watching you with those always loving eyes. You felt a sudden pit of anxiety seeing it. A feeling that needed immediate confrontation.
“I’ll pack these away.” you said, getting up from where you were and grabbing the uneaten snacks from the side tables ready to go out of the door with them.
“It's fine. I’ll just take-.” you heard her start to say, but you were already halfway out of the door before she could finish. You raced down the hall of your section of the dwelling, finding that your mind was working on autopilot getting you where you needed to go.
You moved through the halls, tears threatening to fall already as you made your way to the kitchen.
You heard a few muffled mentions of your name coming from where you'd just been but its lack of volume increase gave you enough information to know that Ramonda wasn’t approaching you.
You still had time.
You rushed around, finding yourself in the kitchen putting everything where you remembered it usually sat.
Heart racing, you felt yourself getting to one of the spare bathrooms. Going straight to the sink, you finally got the first look at yourself for the night, and one thing was very clear. You were panicked.
"It's just sleep." You said, trying to ration with yourself.
"Just sleep." You said it more than a few times, thinking, hoping that one of the attempts would end in you believing yourself. Hoping that one of them would end in you having the epiphany of a lifetime, where it all clicked and it really was just sleep.
Instead, though, when the repeated words hit the +10 mark, one of them ended in tears. Hot tears that burned your eyes getting out and left an even hotter feeling on your cheeks as they rushed down.
Old memories of life in the palace before Ramonda left came to mind. All the nights where you pretended to sleep just so she wouldn't worry. Where you pretended to have been well rested every morning just so she'd go on with her day not being worried about you. Where you hid in corners soothing yourself when you had chosen to sleep, only to be met with nightmares that woke you up anyway.
With all those feelings still fresh, you knew that you couldn't go back to that. Telling her wasn't an option but hiding it from her wasn’t either.
"I need to go." you opened the tap, letting water rush into your cupped hands before you brought your hands to your face, letting the water wash over you. The cold temperature of it reset your body, the tears slowing down and your breathing stabling.
The water did nothing for your unbalanced mind, though. You were still set on your words. You were leaving.
You wiped your face down with a towel, washed your hands and left the room, contemplating whether to let Ramonda know you weren’t staying or not.
You heavily considered it, even walking in the direction of your room, but at the last minute, you turned, deciding that it wasn't worth the trouble. You weren't worth the trouble.
I'll be back; you told yourself.
You'd come back tomorrow and you'd tell her that something came up and you had to go. You doubted that she'd believe you but it would be better to do that than tell her the truth.
Reaching the front entrance of the palace, you found yourself more overwhelmed than relieved, feeling more weight on your shoulders. You walked around, finding yourself nearing the garden. Off to a corner you saw a bench. The one that you'd discovered all those months ago. The one you’d sat on most nights while Ramonda slept.
You sat, gripping the edges of your seat as a means to ground yourself. You were in no shape to get yourself all the way to the river province. Your best solution was to sit there for a while.
You thought about how ridiculous you were being, avoiding the love of your life all because of something as trivial as nightmares. But it wasn't nearly as simple as that.
There was that history. That poisonous history with the person who had broken you in ways that never felt fixed all the way.
Ramonda was nothing like your ex. She was kind and gentle where your ex was rude and aggressive. She was patient where your ex was short tempered. She was genuinely loving where your ex was hateful with a fake loving disguise.
Ramonda was everything you needed her to be, and yet somehow that only made you feel less worthy of her.
Don’t leave. Don‘t leave. Don’t leave; you tried to tell yourself
But at the back of your mind the words that plagued your body during the day and terrorised your mind at night were seemingly always the strongest opponent in the battle.
Just leave, just leave, just leave; they used to say. Reminding you of how disposable you were to your ex. If you were disposable to them, then what difference was it to Ramonda? A queen. You were an inconvenience at best.
You’d always heard of people saying that past relationships could ruin your perception of love and life, but they always said it got better.
For you, that wasn’t the case, because if it were, you wouldn't be sitting there, years after you’d escaped, with the same words still running through your mind.
You wouldn’t be fearing the thought of sleeping every night and you wouldn't be hiding from the woman you loved trying to come up with more lies to tell her.
Tears were once again forming.
"My love?" You jumped at Ramonda's voice, startled more at her sudden appearance than you were of her serious tone.
You turned, looking up. Another fake smile being thrown her way.
“I'm okay.” You said before she could even ask. You wiped at your face instinctively, knowing that the tears would come down and expose your words as being false.
She approached you slowly, going down to sit next to you.
"Sthandwa sam, what's going on?" She was resorting back to the way she spoke to you when you were still in the early days of dating. Lacing her voice with the once emotion that got you to open up. Desperation.
"I thought I'd be back tomorrow." You said, and though you knew that the thought of you wanting to leave probably hurt her, she still held you as you found yourself placing your head on her shoulder. Needing to feel that sense of safety.
This small action was monumental. Not completely untouched territory, but unfelt. Unexperienced by you.
It’d taken months to convince you to let her show you that she could love you. It took twice as long for you to truly believe her when she said she did.
If there was one thing she knew about you, it was how long it took you to ease up your walls when it came to romance, and how easily you backed away whenever you were even slightly unsure of yourself. She didn’t want what was supposed to be a good day to end up becoming the reason you were 10 steps backwards in your trust again. And you knew that she was fighting to keep you for that reason alone.
You knew that if she let you leave, this version of you wouldn’t be the one to come back to her. It would be a more deceptive one. One that was better at executing your lies.
In all 3 years of your partnership, you'd never resisted the temptation to leave like you did now. You'd never been sick of the deception like you were now.
“I-” Ramonda ran through her mind trying to find something, anything to say.
“Are we okay?” she asked, because she needed to know. You failing to leave didn't mean that you wanted to stay.
“Sthandwa sam,” you sighed. All previous desires that you’d had to go without explanation flying out of the window at those words. Words you knew all too well.
You sat closer to her, not even a centimetre separating you. “We’re okay.” you reassured her.
A sigh of relief left her system, though she tried to make it seem unintentional.
“Today was perfect. You’re perfect.” you started, “I don’t want to go. But, I have- ” you stopped yourself there.
“You have what?” she asked.
“I can't.” you said, suddenly realising that your excuse lacked validity.
“What’s wrong?” She said in a tone so gentle, you nearly melted.
You tried to smile it off, “It’s nothing.”
Not taking that, she led her hand to your cheek, cupping your face.
“It’s not nothing.” she counter-argued. The glistening of your eyes told her that much.
“It's nothing reasonable. I mean.”
“So tell me…”
Breathless now, you couldn’t take your eyes off hers.
“I’m not a good sleeper.” you kept it brief.
Ramonda, though sceptical, felt her expression soften. “Meaning?”
“I’m restless and I wouldn’t want to disturb your sleep.”
“I can handle a little disruption.” She smirked.
“I wouldn’t call it little, Ramonda.”
“Well you've never disturbed me before. Why are suddenly worried about that now?”
You fell silent then, your body still with fear. Before you knew it, she was wiping tears away.
Embarrassed, anxious, and all other types of uncomfortable, you tried to get away from her, standing up.
“Please- don’t leave.” you heard. Again, it was firm and confident. But it was also thinly laced with a concern for you that only Ramonda possessed.
Your mind rushed with memories of earlier in the day. When you’d arrived back at the palace after work only to be greeted by just Ramonda. No Dora, no crown. Just the figure of her that bore no burden other than loving you.
That burden showed more that she’d have liked to admit. And though she always heavily denied that it was just that - a burden- something always rang at the back of your mind, telling you that she was lying. That she was holding the world up trying to please you and it was weighing her down more than ruling an entire country ever could.
Still, with that she welcomed you into her world once again. Knowing that you had one foot out of the door from the very beginning, but still holding some hope that maybe you’d choose to let the one inside the door lead you.
With a calming day indoors, filled with your usual banter and conversation. You knew that she thought it was going well. In your heart, you wanted it to be going well too. But that cloud of doubt never ceased to exist above you.
“I’m sorry.” you said. You were chuckling at yourself now, swiftly wiping your tears away before taking a deep breath in.
"I'm a mess and I can't tell you why." You lied again, deciding to pile on as many as you could now.
She stood up, "Come inside, my love. It'd be much easier to work this out without being in the cold." You couldn't disagree, nodding acceptingly, allowing her to wrap her arms around you and lead you back inside.
You can’t leave now. You'll have to wait until she makes you go. Which won’t take long; you thought.
She guided you inside of your room, letting you settle yourself on your side of the bed before sitting next to you.
You sat in an uncomfortable silence, Ramonda waiting to let you calm down more. When you seemed more stable, but you still refused to say anything, she sighed looking up at the ceiling.
"Aneka told me that you still have your old place by the river." She started. Your focus immediately went to her, her hand rushing to find hers. She let you hold her hand, but still she couldn't look at you.
"Is it true?"
"It's not lik-" you started, sighing and trying again, "Yes." Now she looked at you.
"My love...” You heard her whisper.
"It's not you. It's never been you."
"Then what is it?"
"It's… it's… complicated"
You spoke like you were ready to leave.
"I've got all night. We can uncomplicate it."
"I don't think it could really work like that, sthandwa."
“Why won’t you at least try to tell me so I can see for myself whether that is true?”
“Because if I do, and I am right, it’ll break me 10 times more than the first time.”
“What was the first time?”
Tired of the back and forth, and quite frankly tired of the secrets, you relented. "I have these nightmares…" you started to explain it all to her. From the very beginning.
You described the memories of you and your ex. The moments where the love that you had built suddenly turned into hate from them. How you could feel your uncertainty about them build up overtime. And how that feeling of safety that you'd often had before, faded into a mere foreign concept.
You told her about the worst days. When the abusive and toxic nature of the relationship had started to seep into your mind, flooding your thoughts even when you were far away from them.
You continued as Ramonda held you closely, listening to your every word.
"When I left, the nightmares started. Heightened memories of our worst days. The days when their words got to me the most. I stopped feeling safe entirely. My life, dictated by their words. I lost control of myself.” You wiped away your now, few tears, finding yourself thinking about the good that came after all that you’d been through.
“Then you came along. And you made me feel… wanted. You made me feel like I wasn't as bad of a person to deal with. Like my existence wasn’t a hindrance.
And for so long I hoped that that would be enough. That your love would wash away all of the bad nights and I'd be fully at peace for once. But it's never that simple. I still have those nightmares.”
Ramonda only held you closer now, feeling the weight of the burden you’d been carrying.
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” she asked gently. Not angry, but curious.
“I didn’t tell you because it would make you think that I wasn’t happy. That you don’t make me happy and Bast, Ramonda, you make me more happy than anybody I’ve ever crossed paths with. I never for a moment wanted you to think that all your loving actions were in vain. I still don’t want you to.”
That final admission, where you felt yourself become your most vulnerable, was like a release in the chain of bad events that had happened to you in your life. It made you feel more than any other day with Ramonda ever had.
It felt better than the day you’d gone on your first date. Or the day she’d proposed to you with the sweetest speech you’d ever heard. It was more than all the gifts she’d gotten you and all the late night conversations you’d had.
It was so much more, because this time, you were finally able to give her the honesty that you’d longed to give her all this time. This time, you were putting your fear of hurting her feelings aside in an attempt to give her the reassurance that you trusted her.
That relief of being able to subtly say those words; I trust you. That was special.
You laid there, watching her process it all, and for a moment, even with your relief, you felt yourself begin to panic. Maybe it was too much.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn't have said all of that.”
“No. I’m glad you did. I’m glad you don’t have to keep it to yourself anymore.” she said, “I’m sorry you felt like you had to keep that in for so long.”
“Don’t apologise. It has nothing to do with you.”
“But it has everything to do with you. And anything that has to do with you is immediately something I want to know.” she looked at you with the faintest smile on her face, her signal to you that told you she wasn’t mad.
“I want to be here for all your moments, sthandwa sam. I want to celebrate your good news with you and I want to cry at your bad news just as intensely. You’re worth every minute of sleep that I lose at the hands of holding you after those nightmares.”
Hearing that, you tried to shake your head in disagreement.
“No I’m no-”
“Yes you are Y/n.” she kissed your hand tenderly.
“I don’t expect you to believe me just yet, but I’m willing to let you know that you are, over and over again. I’m willing to hold you as close to me as you need every night until the day I die. I’ll do it all if it means you’ll feel safe again.”
You were left speechless, trying to find the words to respond to that, but honestly you knew that you wouldn’t be able to. She meant every word, and you felt every bit of her emotion.
With your hand still in hers, she settled herself in bed, looking at you as you watched her hesitantly.
“Let me hold you tightly… and let me choose to never let go.” she said.
Tumblr media
Hours later, when you felt yourself begin to stir awake, your heart racing as yet another night terror played itself out in your head, you felt yourself rising up.
Opening your eyes, and finding tears in them, you wiped them away in embarrassment.
More doubt crept up in you, and once again, the odds seemed to be stacked against you.
There was no way this could all work.
You were just too much.
When you tried to rise up from bed, wanting to get your things and leave, you felt an arm touch yours.
You looked down, seeing what you’d previously thought would be a sleeping Ramonda, definitely awake.
She laid, watching you with barely awake eyes. You’d clearly woken her up.
“I’m sorry.” you apologised.
But when you thought you’d be met with anger, or pity, you were only met with a warm and welcoming expression, Ramonda sitting up and opening her arms to you.
“Come here.” she said, waiting patiently but firmly.
You were slow, but after a few deep breaths, you found yourself drawn to her touch, wanting that protection.
Her warm embrace seemed to ease your mind for the first time in a while. Her presence calmed you, and you felt cared for in a completely new way.
“It’s you and me, my love. I can assure you that you will never have to wake up without me by your side to ease your worry. My arms are your new home to know forever. They will be here whenever you need them. And I will always be here for you.”
