HEY I live, again,

I had a big life update what with my sib graduating grad school (getting their masters degree) at the same time we both moved like 2 states over from our home state 😅

and unfortunately, i wasnt able to get my monster of a sequel out in time to post it remotely to get it out to you guys while i was afk

(as i havent had wifi/free time consistently in like 2-3 weeks)

which, phew, im finally able to be settled in one place enough to write again, and have enough time in the day to not be dealing wiht my apartment to write ToT

Tpb: Oh gosh, lot of contenders here.... Let's pick a random favorite....

The Tigerstar reveal. It's so... Cinematic, to me. I'm shocked I've never seen it in any animations! The drama of it, the realization for the reader that Fireheart is gonna have to tell Bluestar, and wondering just how far the new leader is going to go...

I'm gonna have to tie it with Bluestar's downward spiral. A lot of people hated her for it, and I think that's a shame. Stuff like this makes a story GOOD.

Runner ups: Silverstream being a brat but also making an incredibly good point about the Warrior Code, Yellowfang killing Brokenstar, Bluestar's death where she finally gets to connect with her kits, Fireheart saving Sandstorm (which I think they tried to replicate in TNP with CrowLeaf)

Tnp: This one is gonna be controversial, but I actually quite like the part where Leafpool runs away with Crowfeather. Mind you, I hate him, but Leafpool being happy? That was nice. That was the happiest I think we got to see Leafpool in a long time, and the be honest, I... Don't think we ever get to see her that happy again.

Also, just... The 4 Clans together. I loved seeing them finally work together for something that wasn't war. I have a whole AU for the scenario where they just... Never split again. They settle into 4 camps, but without boundaries. Cats go where they want as 1 huge Clan. I love AUs where the Clans fuse!

Po3: Okay, I'm gonna cheat because I.. Haven't actually read Long Shadows or Sunrise. Otherwise I could use the easy way out and say the Fire Scene... But I've never actually seen it!

My favorite scene is all of the ones with the Tunnels from Dark River, but specifically the ones with the GorseBeech kits. I still love Dark River. Perfect mix of slice of life and tension building. I love the darkness and mystery they hold, and how alive the environment felt. The earth was alive and it did not care if you drowned inside it. Also the kittens were adorable and had a lot of personality! It showed Heatherpaw being a natural leader and Breezepaw getting to be a kid.

OOTS: Oof... This one is hard. Oots is getting a bit blurry in my memory... I think I have a tie! In no particular order:

1. Redwillow's death, probably for all the wrong reasons. When I tell you I CACKLED at him getting One Punch Man'd by Blackstar after this dramatic edgy little speech... It was charming enough that I couldn't NOT expand on his character. While he is still getting One Punched, he and Ratscar do manage to take Blackstar down!

2. Dovewing realizing that The Dark Forest is about to attack. It's... Really not clear to me anymore what happened, I don't really remember it well, but I remember how it made me feel. I really thought we were gonna lose her. I can only describe it as "standing at a busy, happy party, looking out the window, and seeing a tsunami on the coast". That "Oh. This is probably gonna be bad, eh?" The battle itself I remember was confusing and a lot of running around while the writers scrambled on remembering how to write fight scenes, and I have my own thoughts on what cats should have went down and who should have killed who... But that might be it's own post. (Bluestar should have destroyed Thistleclaw, Ivypool should have destroyed Hawkfrost, and Brokenstar should have killed Spottedleaf)

AVOS: Okay, keep in mind I haven't finished book one, but... I can safely say that at least right now my favorite scene is the cats eating fried chicken out of the garbage. It's so... Cute! It's the calm before a storm, and Alderpaw calling it "freshkill" made me snort, like, yeah, sure bud, let's call it that. Funny that Sparkpaw had some, as her future son would go on to steal a whole ass rotisserie chicken from a fair. I think she'd be proud.

TBC: I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS ONE. Okay, yes, Bristlefrost's death was iconic, but can we talk about how horrifying the Prologue from The Silent Thaw?

Bramblestar watches his own dead body begin to move, assumes he is going to go back into it, only for its eyes to open, standing up without him, and beginning to speak with his Clanmates...

That right there, those 4 pages, sent actual chills up my spine. The thought of being in scenario is terrifying. Sure, we know from Lost Stars' final chapter that Rootpaw can see him and that Bramblestar's spirit and body are separated for reason currently unknown.... But Bramblestar doesn't know that. All he knows is that his body and mind are no longer one, and nobody knows except for him. That was bloodchilling.

Tbh I think it would have been better to cut Lost Stars chapter 24 completely, and just use that Prologue. Move the VioletTree family meeting to The Silent Thaw's early chapters and do not be afraid to actually hide your plot points.

ASC: Mistystar getting Ratio'd by Duskfur. As much as I desperately wish it had been more emotional.... God it was funny. It felt like a relief. Like... Finally, finally this is over. Riverclan has an interesting plot, a potential murder mystery (that later became a real murder mystery and then... Yknow).

I think another scene is The Curlfeather Reveal. Look I know the writing for it is sloppy, but the way it describes her looking calm and peaceful, speaking as if she's talking to one of her beloved children... WCR!Curlfeather was written with the song Brutus in mind. Elegant and brutal, and I wanna make sure she lives up the the image that much better done comics and fanart.

I assume they’re all close to canon but do u have any little headcanons or minor details regarding how they look? Like idk, different hair lengths or style of clothing they prefer or how tall they are and stuff.

But between FttS Kid and BoM Kidd, their styles are slightly different. FttS tends to pull his hair back with clips and headbands, his bangs are a little longer so he had to keep the hair out of his face. His style is also somewhat simpler. I sometimes describe what BoM Kidd is wearing where I won't usually for FttS Kid because FttS Kid's entire wardrobe is black pants black shirt, no flare or style.

TTwS Kid is some combination of the two of them, but is more willing to go outside in sweatpants and a sweatshirt than either of the other two lol.

As for Blackstar, he's mostly the same in all of them in terms of style. TTwS BS has a lot more tattoos and a tongue piercing.

In FttS both Kid and BS are eventually going to get their ears pierced together, and BoM Blackstar will eventually get another tattoo.

I really like Sin from BlackStar but I don’t know anything about him :( Can you tell me more about Sin? thank u so much!

So while Sin is one of my favorites, I wish I could understand just what the hell he was saying half the time (send help). So this is going to end up being the most basic description of what Sin's like.

Sin (CV. Tsuda Kenjiro) is the oldest and tallest main cast member in Starless who's often given the villain role in performances. His hobbies include reading and playing chess (often with Yoshino). Also a tea enjoyer. He knows what snacks pair well with what tea and is the one that brews the tea served in the restaurant.

Sounds like a chuunibyou with the way he talks and has a good relationship with crows. Diligent, philosophical, works in mysterious ways, is somewhat suspicious and does speak in cryptic puzzles that only Takami can translate, though some other members can get an idea of what he's saying. But he doesn’t talk like this because he wants to, but because he has to (the amount of sighing he does whenever someone's confused by what he says!). He does occasionally talk normally though (thank god). Will sometimes give hints on his cryptic words. SOMETIMES. Or actually explain after sighing. He’d be someone that gives good advice if it weren’t for his way of speaking.

Like pretty much everyone else at Starless, he cares about and protects MC. For example walking with her to the restaurant while she was unaware that she was being followed and telling her not to look back, but in his cryptic Sin way. And then walks her to the station at night even though it's out of the way. He also warns her to stay vigilant because "even those you consider sheep may be beasts with fangs." And gives her warnings about future dangers. But even so, there are things he's gotta do, even if it brings harm to her. Like triggering traumatic memories (one of those times where you go "this is a joseimuke rhythm game right...?)

Oh, MC doesn't have memories of her past but it sounds like Sin knows who she is.

blizzardstar was originally from thunderclan if u wanna know how old he is. in my au where windclan is gone, after tigerstar died the clans were controlled by leopardstar, blackstar and darkstar. during the time of the late new prophecy thunderclan got fucking skyclanned out of their territory and blizzardstar was a kit at the time his mom joined riverclan. rn i think the story takes place during like, maybe when avos was? idk. blizzardstar has seen a few generations come and go. so that being said hes very prideful and not wanting riverclan to experience the same fate as thunderclan did. unfortunately that means stealing territory and then picking fights with shadowclan due to prey shortage.

hes not evil is the thing, hes a major asshole and as im scripting hes kinda horrible to juniperstem but i wouldnt consider him abusive, they just seriously butt heads.

he also (spoilers) threatens the lives of his grandkits (not in front of them but to blazingheart) to try and blackmail him but he was 100% bluffing. he loves his grandkits so much even if theyre adopted he considers them kin and adores them. but hes an asshole.

juniperstems arc is interesting because its kind of about like, trying to change the system from the inside and realizing it cant happen. i made it so he was actually originally the deputy before heronclaw but stepped down after accidentally killing a shadowclan apprentice in battle. before then he was very loyal to blizzardstar and, while heronclaw was the perfect can do no wrong son, he tried to be that too and impress his dad but always fell short. after he retires he starts doing his own thing which pisses blizzardstar off to no end. its a big clash over ideals and what to do about the fate of riverclan and juniperstems disillusion with clan life

GOD that was a mouthful. but auhhh also juniperstem has insomnia and is a fucking expert hunter and is almost singlehandedly feeding riverclan because blizzardstar puts a lot of focus in fending off shadowclan. so juniperstem is regularly out hunting at ass oclock at night in twolegplace alleys and shit. motherfucker has destroyed the wildlife population. he also loves his adopted kids. he feels horrible intense guilt about the shadowclan apprentice breezepaw which makes him very reluctant to fight

one last fact uhhh blizzardstar is like, harpers great uncle or something. blizzardstars mom was the sister of his grandmother. when blizzardstar meets harper he thinks hes such a charming young man and secretly wishes he was his son. juniperstem takes one look at him and is like this guy is totally a creep

Hey there everyone, my name’s Ashwillow. You can call me Ash if u want, idc. I’m mainly here to indulge in my warrior cats obsession that I definitely should have outgrown by now, but oh well.

I mostly do character designs using a photo realism software, so all my designs are gonna look pretty real. None are real cats though, as far as I know, all came outta my head/the cat descriptions. I do have a couple OC’s, which will show up pretty frequently.

Edit: I’ve gotten a couple of complaints about me claiming AI work as my own, and I’m here to put that to rest. I would like to clarify, that I do indeed use AI technology, but only for color touchups and the odd accessory/detail here and there. It is not an AI text to image generator, and I sketch all the cats with pen and paper before using any sort of digital stuff. In addition to AI in-painting, I use a digital rendering software that allows me to upload drawings and digitize them to make them cleaner. Any abnormalities you may find in the images are the result of my touch-up in-painting being a pain in my rear (such as the feather I added to my anime Jayfeather kind of looking like a second tail 🙄.) Also, I don’t pay for premium services on one of my app thingies, so I do end up with watermarks and if there is a blur or something in the bottom right corner, it’s cuz my watermark remover is not 100% accurate all the time. Thanks! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, but please be polite about it.

Who are your top two clan leaders and what abt them makes them ur faves... and also who's ur absolute least favorite leader out of them all n why?

well if u know me, first and foremost is blackstar. i have bias for him as a kid, and i love him conceptually now as well, acknowledging that some thoughts i have of him are from my own interpretation,

it's so tasty tho, I think i was definitely onto something when i was little. guy who supported both brokenstar and tigerstar rising to become leader and ultimately resolving to do a better job than the both of them? brokenstar was his old friend and he sincerely believed along with the rest of shadowclan that tigerstar could improve their odds? like cmon man. he has so much flavour to him,

and arguably he Did do better than the both of them, over a longer period of time. for one, not killing his own apprentices thru unjust practices, and thinking of his clan first over revenge or petty grievances. there were a lot of reasons for everyone from all three of the other clans to mistrust him, for what he did under both bad leaders, and he's the one who calls out lionblaze for being literally a murderer. and he Is. lionblaze sucks.

he aimed to steady out the life of shadowclan, and from what i remember, his arrogance took a back burner to consideration for his clan. strong but not cruel, as a group instead of individual. i think he succeeded in the end, up until he grew too weak to properly lead any longer,

tallstar, messy as he is, i still enjoy him a lot as a leader. windclan was put thru a lot very early on, and that would throw anyone's abilities into question, but he managed to keep everyone together long enough to return home. despite the rising xenophobia, he chose to hear out fireheart over resolving to battle w thunderclan in the middle of the first arc, and then later banded up to keep from being driven out again. he was a cool old man, making more choices on his own judgement than being pressured by his warriors, which i can't say the same for peaceful or resolute leaders like pine and sunstar,

special shout out to nightstar bc i like shadowclan, even if his leader status can be argued against. he was never accepted by starclan, but i like to think he maintained the position otherwise shadowclan cld have felt even more lost than they already did after brokenstar was driven out,

now for least favourite ... i have complicated feelings abt onestar. was he an interesting antagonist? yah, id say he was, but god damn did his decisions not seem utterly stupid at times. he was infinitely more interesting than mudclaw in the end, but in his aim to prove other cats wrong abt something that's objectively helped windclan in the past, he ruined a lot of his personal relationships in the process,

he was self-involved in a similar but opposing way to tallstar, where tallstar did act in self interest to hopefully benefit the clan, with his own biases in play, onestar sabotaged clan relations in some attempt to make himself out as stronger. he wanted to look better than someone who relied on outside help, but man.. he didn't need to do all that,

but he thought he did, bc of the whole undermining of mudclaws rebellion. he narrowly didn't become leader until the moonpool was founded, and there'd be a good chance the rebellion caused cats to continue to question his leadership even after it was squashed. it cld have all been in his own head tho; he knew the most how close he grew w firestar,

i think im also still sad how he did so much that his relationship w firestar became unsalvagable, even for fire. and then firestar died, w them as enemies. :(

Unei was absolutely and hopelessly captivated by you. The way you looked, carried yourself, spoke, smiled, everything about you had him entranced. He had liked you for the longest time, peeping at you occasionally when you came to Starless, but he was afraid to make a move. Something always stopped him, a shyness he could not identify, and days, weeks, and months ticked by as he continued to admire you from afar.

Unei sat in a corner and drank alone, his eyes drawn to you as you laughed with your friends. What would be like to talk to you, to actually hold a conversation with you? He couldn't bring himself to do it, even if it was just to ask how you were doing. As your eyes wandered around the bar, you met his gaze momentarily, but he quickly lowered his eyes.

"Is that Unei?" You mumbled under your breath. When one of your friends asked what you said, you shook your head and excused yourself. "I'll be back in a few."

When you approached him, Unei's muscles tensed, and his breath got caught in his throat. He wasn't sure what to do; his mind was racing a million miles per hour, and his hands would stop shaking.

"Hi, Unei. Having a peaceful night out?" You warmly smiled at him. Instead of replying, he stared at you with wide eyes, like you had asked him to hand over his bank information. Chuckling, you spoke again. "Are you okay?"

"Y-You...know my name?"

"Who doesn't know Starless' hardworking intern?" You laughed.

"O-Oh. Y-Yeah, I came to d-drink. What brings you here, (y/n)?" The intern asked, reaching for his drink with trembling hands. Before you could answer, he knocked his glass over, spilling the beer on his lap. His cheeks instantly glowed red, and right as he was about to apologize, his hand hit the plate of food.

You thought he might have had a bit too much to drink, but he didn't give you a chance to ask. His nervousness was getting the best of him, and Unei thought chugging a can of beer would give him the courage he lacked. So, he grabbed the can and downed the content, leaving you speechless. Three cans later, he grinned at you as you stared at him with your jaw dropped.

"Hey, (y/n). Do I look capt-captiv... good?" He slurred his words.

"Captivating?" You chuckled and tilted your head slightly to the left.

"Oh...w-wait...I drunk...not you," Unei laughed. "Alcohol makes everyone...look better."

"Huh? Unei, I don't need alcohol to find you captivating. You're cute." You giggled.

"But...I orinary..."

"Ordinary? Who told you that? You have a charm of your own, and that makes you far from ordinary."

As you watched him stare at you like you were a ghost, you wondered why he considered himself ordinary. Did he think that of himself, or were the people in Starless influencing his thoughts? When Unei held his hand out to you, you snapped out of your thoughts and looked at him questioningly.

"I happy...but need check if dream..." He chuckled and waved his hand a little. Though you had no idea what he planned to do, you lightly rested your hand on his. Unei drew your hand close to his face and intensely stared at him, but the next moment, he brought his mouth closer to your linked hands and shifted his head left and right, looking from the back of his hand to the back of your hand. Opening his mouth, he lightly sunk his teeth into the back of your hand.

"U-Unei?"

"Huh? Oh...I bite you? I mean to bite me..." He nervously laughed and kissed the back of your hand. "I sorry. I...only check if it's a dream or no."

"Dream?" You curiously questioned.

"Hm. You...say I cute...so dream...'cause I like you."

Your eyes widened as your lips slightly parted at his confession. Did he just confess that he liked you? You finally got your answer to why you caught Unei staring at you from behind the employee's only door. For the longest time, you thought he was monitoring the crowd, even though you felt his eyes on you. No, he was actually staring at you because he liked you.

A small smile tugged on your lips as you watched Unei stroking the back of your hand to alleviate any pain he might have caused you due to the bite. Would he remember this tomorrow once he sobered up? You truly hoped he would.
