Blair and Dan are my everything in Gossip Girl, I loved Chuck and Blair together, when I was younger because they ended up together at the end, but now that I am older and a bit wiser, I know that Chuck’s behaviour is horrible and toxic, in real life people would hate him.

I truly believe, that Chuck should have been alone, he needs to get rid of his demons. The person who helped him change was Eva. They were cute together. Blair and him weren’t cute, they brought each other worst side.

Blair needs someone like Dan, he made her feel seen, loved, and he respected her. She needs an intellectual equal. A person who understands the world differently than her.

Dan needs someone like Blair because she is from a world he admires a lot. But contrary to Serena, Blair isn’t ashamed by her world, she embraced it. She so proud of it. She has interest in books, arts, movies. It is something that only them together could share.

It's fall and for those that know me, time for my annual rewatch of Gossip Girl. Admittedly I no longer watch past Season 4 episode 17 (if you know you know) but man do I have such a special place in my heart for the way season 4 developed Dan and Blair's friendship.

This fic was such a lovely fluffy way of making Dair happen using early season 4 as a branching off point. I loved this story, it was tooth rottingly sweet and I just know I'm going to come back to it over and over again.
