Pinned Post
Hi everyone! Welcome to my art blog! This is where I post all of my art as well as fanfic (links to ao3).
A little about me, I am Wendy/Golden, and I am a queer adult. My interests swing wildly over time, but I consistently draw and write a lot of oc x canon, whether that is romantic, platonic, or familial! I'm also dabbling with animation these days. I love to take my OCs and inject them into source material in a way that honors the source and emphasizes different parts of the world or different themes. It's a fun puzzle for me.
I have a wide range of interests but I frequently return to Tensura, FF7, Bungou Stray Dogs, Genshin Impact, Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel and recently SK8 the Infinity. A lot of anime hehe~
My main account is @augmentedampharos and is where I reblog art from other people amongst other things, as well as sometimes to my self ship blog @goldenworldsabound.

ten lines, ten people
thank you for the tag @spindrifters <333
rules: share the first lines of ten of your most recent fanfics and tag ten people. if you have written less than ten, don’t be shy and share anyway.
ahhh this is literally all of my fics, except the very first one 😅
shorn and scarred and yours - slytherin sirius AU
Blacks do not cry. Or, at least, they’re not supposed to.
Please Don’t See Me - modern w/ magic AU
“86 Jameson!” Lily calls, tossing yet another bottle into the already overfilled glass bin.
A Series of Unlucky Events - Love and Other Potions one-shot, fix-it
Lily has never really believed in luck. When she won the vial of Felix Felicis in Slughorn’s class, the pride of winning (and narrowly beating Severus) meant more to her than the prize itself. So she hid it away and barely thought of it over the next three years.
Pride and Prejudice and Werewolves - enemies to lovers (canon-divergent AU)
Beige corduroy, tawny tweed, and sandy hair, Remus very much hoped he’d be the least interesting sight in the Great Hall.
The Wolf and the Jester - Robin Hobb inspired fantasy AU
A forest is basically a library, Remus thinks. Just as a gruff, unkempt woodsman is merely another version of a shy, studious palace scribe. Except simpler. Everything is so much simpler now. He hunts, gardens, tracks the moon and charts the stars--he's content. And so is the wolf. It's the human part of himself, it turns out, that was restless and temperamental, always itching for change and conflict.
exes, horcruxes, and other reasons to panic - exes to lovers (oh look, another canon-divergent AU)
Remus stares, mesmerized at the pale lavender smoke emanating from the goblet, definitely not avoiding the intent gaze of those laser green eyes.
Uncanny Moony Effect - Love and Other Potions, one-shot
Sirius wakes up on a scratchy beige carpet he doesn’t recognize on the floor of a bedroom he’s never seen. It’s small, neat, cozy, and eerily familiar in an itch-in-the-back-of-his-head type of way. Well at least he’s not naked. Or in the bed.
Sarcastic Truths and Lies By Omission - Love and Other Potions, one-shot
“Lupin!” A firm hand claps Remus on the back. Startled—he’s always been jumpy, but he’s especially on edge these days—he nearly drops the glass he’s been clutching with white-knuckled fingers.
Of Monsters and Cowards - slytherin sirius, First War Au
The Death Eater raises his chin and surveys the pack haughtily from behind his mask. Most of them are taller than him—maybe it’s a wolf thing, maybe it’s that he’s not particularly tall. But they feel small—all awkward angles folded in on themselves.
A Dog in Stag’s Clothing - Love and Other Potions, one-shot
“Prongs! Mate! Brother! Light of my life! Stop drooling over Evans and pay attention to me,” Sirius whines, tugging on James’s sleeve.
WHEW okay we’re done, no pressure tags to some old mutuals and some new for this one @colgatebluemintygel @fruity-individual @mostlyoptimisticdinosaur @moongays @wanderingdonut @msalexwp @demidreamer @achilleslikespeas @impishtubist @crushofdoves

On discovering homosexual activity in a particular species they are studying firsthand – and being unable to find more than a handful of comparable examples in a cursory literature search – many zoologists acquire the mistaken impression that their observations of this behavior are somehow unique or unusual. At that point they may issue blanket statements to the effect that homosexual activity is rare or previously unreported in the form or species they are observing. Such statements are then often repeated by other biologists and become definitive pronouncements on the subject.

I fucking hate labels. It's one of the reasons I don't really claim anything besides being human and I barely like claiming that. Because when you take a label, you take the history of the label. You take the good with the bad of the label. And that's not always applicable. Nor fair. So if I claim a label, please use it for me if you feel the need. But if I don't, and you label me, you're going to fucking piss me off. I've been called a capitalist, I've been called the communist, I've been called almost everything else between, and I'm not claiming to be any of them. I'll tell you what I believe, I'll tell you what I'm about, I'll tell you what I think we need to do, but I also tell you that I'm adaptable. I'm not going to take a label and stay strictly with inside the lines. Because I'm not a fucking label. I am me. I hope you are you.

L + ratio + you speak from a place of narrow experience and apply those experiences to a far broader scope than they can accommodate instead of asking what might lie outside of your immediate perception + you don't interrogate the underlying assumptions shaping your own discourse + your arguments are reductive to the point of meaninglessness + you made up a guy to get mad at

fjisdlnsdlk its just funny guys cuz I literally let MC have an affair and ruin a marriage with the option to not feel bad about it at all I think it's obvious that the moral purity of the characters is the last thing on my mind 😭
I understand that story is not for everyone but I think Infamous is the last IF you should be looking at for sound judgement and moral decision making <3

I think ultimately if DC had Pride in the 90s we would have been given some of the most bold and compelling meaningful queer stories compared to today bc DC is a simpering coward about this. I love how we're in a time period where never before we have had such diversity, but the cost is hypersanitization doubled with feeling patronized at multiple turns.
I don't like feeling talked down to in any story, even more so in stories that are supposed to celebrate Pride.

as much as I love Ushiten as like... "Ushijima doesnt process/is unphased by Tendou's weirdness" i think its MUCH BETTER to consider that Tendou is just Ushijima's type. Like its not a "i dont see why people would call you freaky" situation but rather a "FINALLY someone freaky and fucked up time to make him my husband."

[Image description: The title, "Fanworks Permission Statement Builder," and black line-drawing-style pictures of a hand holding a pencil and of a microphone with a pop filter, over a background of crumpled paper. End ID.] (credit to @rystonlentil for the image ID)
Hey fanworks creators!
Excited about the idea of someone creating something based on your fan creation (like podfics, fanart, translations, etc)? On the other hand, do you not want people creating stuff based off your fanworks and don't want to have to turn them down? Or do you have a more nuanced idea of what you are and aren't comfortable with people doing based on your fan creations? Don't particularly care one way or the other about what people create based on your stuff?
SPEND JUST A FEW MINUTES TO QUICKLY GENERATE A FANWORKS PERMISSION STATEMENT LETTING PEOPLE KNOW YOUR PREFERENCES!!!
What is a fanworks permission statement?
A fanworks permission statement (also known as a blanket permission statement or transformative works permission statement) is very simple: it's something you post in a publically-visible place (usually your AO3 profile) that tells other fan creators what you are and aren't okay with in terms of other people making fanworks based off your stuff. It can be as simple as a sentence or two, or as complicated as you want to communicate your preferences clearly.
Who should have a permission statement?
A permission statement is for anyone that creates fanworks! Yes, even if you don't think anyone would ever want to create something based off your fanworks. You never know! It's not egotistical to post a permission statement, it's HELPFUL. Yes, even if you don't want people making something based off your works. It means no one has to reach out to ask you, they can know your preferences right away.
Is it only for fanfic writers?
Absolutely not! It's great for fan creators of ALL kinds to have a fanworks permission statement! Fanartists, someone might want to use your fanart as inspiration for a fanfic or create fanart inspired by your work in a different medium! Podficcers, other people creating in an audible medium might want to insert clips of your podfics into their work, or copy the way you did certain effects! Fanbinders, you might inspire an artist with the way you do your binding! This is really for everyone, because fandom is infinitely creative and who knows how another fan creator might be inspired by your work!
What do I even say in a permission statement?
That's exactly why we built the Fanworks Permission Statement Builder! So you don't have to think about what to say or how to say it. Just spend a few minutes answering questions about your preferences that cover many of the common things people might want to specify, and you'll have a permission statement ready to copy-and-paste into your AO3 profile, or to edit to your heart's content!
Why use the Fanworks Permission Statement Builder?
Don't want to come up with a permission statement on your own? Not sure what should even go into a permission statement? Want someone to at least give you a starting place that you can edit to better reflect your preferences? Want someone to just hand you a ready-to-use permission statement that you can paste into your profile? Spend just a few minutes answering some questions about your preferences, and you'll have a permission statement ready to use or edit!

If you're censoring the words pedophilia, rape, incest and other words because Purity Culture(tm) has taught you these are Taboo Words(tm) that are so horrific you can't even type them on your own keyboard ... please stop and consider that the people who genuinely need those things blacklisted for trigger reasons can't actually blacklist them if you keep making up new ways to tag them.
If you are censoring these words for your own personal comfort with using the words you are not helping anyone.
And if you can't even say the words, you definitely don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to arguing the validity of artists and authors using them as themes in fictional settings.
