Not the episode ending with him almost dying😱

Ep3 was more on she still suspecting him like she should and the tension is not helping me as they look good together

And this breakfast scene..why so sweet and couple vibe

The way they have the same food and drinks😍😍😍

And was the blanket needed? I think he receive the wrong info..he supposed to gain her trust and not love😅😅😅 even the president said did the father send him to seduce her🤣🤣🤣

Overall it's been a sort of confuse as this is not romance drama but somehow this is a romance drama

Cute Bodyguard Chinese Drama (2022) English Subtitles

Two people from seemingly two different worlds are brought together when an accident leads to Su Jing Jing, a seemingly cute girl but with supernatural ability gets hired as Gu Rong's bodyguard.

I haven’t had any questions lately but love your blog and your insights. In a video of the group photo at Milan fashion week, GG is sitting next to the older man and they are talking. I figure in some videos when GG is talking to others he has translators but it does not look like anyone from his staff is around and I was wondering if they were speaking in English or what other languages he might speak. The man he's seen talking with a lot is Diego Della Valle, the CEO of Tod's. GG has a fantastic relationship with him, and he even referred to him as yeye (grandpa) in his Vogue interview from the show.

Last time GG was in Milan Della Valle took GG on a tour of some beautiful sites around Italy - including the Colloseum in Rome -and some sites significant to the brand (the workshop, the flagship store, etc.). GG got to spend a lot of time with him, so they had plenty of opportunity to build a strong relationship.

You can tell just by his entire demeanour around GG that Della Valle adores GG. Which makes absolute sense given how cute, gracious and charming GG is. When GG arrived at the Tod's show this year Della Valle lit up like a Christmas tree.

They sat together last year at the Tod's show as well (those who missed out on last year's trip can check out my 'gg milan fashion week 2023' tag).

Anyway, you weren't asking about Della Valle, you were asking about how GG is able to communicate with him. The simple answer is that GG does have some English!

Many students in China learn English in school, although they sometimes don't get as much opportunity to speak it, so it's probably kind of like my French - I understand quite well to hear, read and write it, but my accent and pronunciation are a bit rough around the edges (that's putting it mildly 😅).

With the international travel he's done and all the elbow-rubbing he's had to do with foreign celebrities and brand stakeholders I think GG has had a lot more opportunity than the average person to exercise his language skills, so I've no doubt he's improving all the time.

He's also a huge music lover and has many times been seen singing English songs from Avril Lavigne, Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith and many more. A couple of English performances he's done in the past:

Starts at 3:22 (I'll never get over hockey player GG 🥲).

It also seems clear that GG has a general interest in languages. He knows a fair bit of Korean and he and DD are seen in The Untamed BTS speaking various languages and dialects, including English. This is also a common feature of LRLG rumors.

There are many clips to be found online of GG speaking English for ads, occasionally a few lines for drama roles, throwing in English phrases into interviews, etc. Just based those alone I think one can tell that he's got pretty good English. His pronunciation is quite good.

If you watch some of the vlogs he's posted from the international events, and some of the clips shared by brands and magazines, you can catch moments of GG having English interactions with many people at those events. One of my absolute favorites is when he's replying to a bodyguard in a vlog when he was in Florence last year (starts at 4:08).

The bodyguard is trying to teach him how to roll his r to pronounce Florence in Italian ('Firenze') and GG says, "I can't do it." The way he says it is so damn cute, I almost died when I heard it.

Anyway, so to answer your question, GG speaks in English with Della Valle and others at those events!

this drama got me into Korea in its all and into Kpop as well. it's so close to my heart I can't help but put it with my favorite Korean boy. the Kirin art school's students have a dream, and they grow up learning to become stars, ultimately succeeding, just like jungkook did.

jin: business proposal

the main character is exactly how I imagine jin in a relationship to be like. a stoic, successful, kinda naive man who warms up and becomes devoted as soon as he sets his eyes on someone. and the rest his history.

taehyung: nevertheless

i imagine taehyung loving this drama. its complicated explanation on love reflects all the flaws of the human spirit and portraits love as chaos in a life full of art.

jimin: true beauty

jimin's just like Lee Soo Ho would like someone regardless of his flaws. I always imagines jimin as a kind and careful soul who cares about people's feelings and emphatazies with them. I imagine jimin to like light, fun and cute dramas and this is it.

namjoon: what's wrong with secretary Kim?

namjoon gives me the impression of being a controlled and calm person, but just like young-joon he loses his composure when he likes someone and gets tested by a potential lover. I feel like he'd be as funny as the main character when he finds a partner who challenges him and, frequently, beats him at his own game.

yoongi: descendants of the sun

if I ever imagine yoongi liking someone, I imagine him playing it cool. no drama, no embarassment, simply a cool strong man who admits he fell in love. in descendants of the sun life gets in the way of love one too many time and I imagine for yoongi too life sometimes is pretty heavy to carry around without getting crushed.

hosoek: strong woman do bong soon

I thought hoseok belonged in an historical drama, but I see him as well as the ceo of a company who meets a strange girl who ends up being his bodyguard and lover. he's as funny as MinMin and he gives me Labrador boyfriend vibes.

Just an idea

After going from the crazy reader to the comforting reader, now I am back to crazy reader after watching a tiktok for the Korean drama "It's ok to not be ok".

It was just a clip from the drama where the male lead's autistic older brother got looked down by a family of 3 and was violently treated by the family. The context was that the female lead was the older brother's favourite author (she writes children's books but her personality is quite crazy), so he went for her bookfair and got picked on by the family.

The autictic older brother suffered from both physical (got his hair pulled) and verbal assults from that family (said that he was crazy).

When the female head heard the commotion, she walked down so casually with her bodyguards following behind her. She grabbed the father's hair and said "Even you would scream when someone grabs your hair, how do you expect him to not?". She then asked the mother how did she diagnosed someone as lunatic when she is not a doctor. The mother replied because the autistic older brother was acting weird and rambling nonscense. So, the female lead called the mother "A crazy bitch becasuse she is also rambling nonsense!".

All of this happened at the bookfair for children's book, and I was like how I wish Team Green has someone like this.

Your life is just nothing but boring meetings when your parent/s company is in need for your assistance, you going to school to waste your 8 hours with your left energy, and everything just revolving on money which makes you mentally exhausted at this point.

Well, not everything is going to be that way when you met HIM.

You were a student from another campus next to that all boys-school. Every break times students go outside of their perspective academies to either buy their favorite junk food or just to cause another chaos. Beating an innocent pupil or the weak fighting back against their predator. As much as you were entertained to watch all of these drama unfold, your body guard has kept an eye on you anytime, everywhere (heck even you and him are classmates just for him to "ensure your safety"). You have always hesitated to invite him outside the establishment not wanting him to give you another long-ass lecture about why you're not allowed to buy your own food without his company. But since you are his boss, you managed to persuade him to go outside, with him of course.

But one group of motherfuckers tried to mess with you just because you're one of those kids who always get fed with a silver spoon. They expected that because who have a bodyguard, you are a weakling who can't protect herself/himself from potential danger. You and your goon were about to land a strike on your opponent when two men (around your age) ran up encountering the events that is happening. It looks like they are trying to catch up with these gangster-wannabes who tries to act cool while trying to hide their insecure-ass because they can't even get a girl to say yes when they are asking them out for a date.

"OI! THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING! I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU YET AND NOW YOU'RE STEALING ANOTHER PERSON'S MONEY!" the braided teenage boy screamed at them as the skinny man with deep eyebags (resembling a worn out panda) let out an annoying guffaw, obviously mocking two sides on the same coin. "You can't do anything about it! You think you can stop us with doing this kind of shit?! Well, prepare to watch this fuckers-" And then again another person made an entrance like from a cheesy superhero movie when the protagonist enters as he is the "hope and light" of all of this mess. That's when you get interested in him.

Jake Kim, who is known for his unique and composed charisma yet who doesn't chose to dominate the whole school even if he can. Yet at that day he didn't hold back in beating the shit out of those dudes when you're in trouble. You are happy to meet him, even asking his name even though you're already familiar with it and giving him extra money for helping you out. But it surprised you that he respectfully denied your offer, even bowing down to make you reminded that a simple thank you is enough. "Oh no need ma'am/sir. I just want to help out and my friends are in serious trouble too so, no need." You leisurely held his hand which is much more slender, big, and firm than yours to give him a couple of won (Korean money currency) to repay his kindness. "Please take it, I appreciate your help and the help of your friends. You can share it all for your lunch later." He remembered that he wants to be fair to everybody, yet he remembers his dad, a gangster whom even fought for the weak have a shady side like seducing different women. Will he be the same if he took the money?

He was thinking deeply before the couple of bills flew around, falling on the floor before Jake made a glaring-look from the guy behind your back. It wasn't the asshole who tried to holdup you, it's your own personal body-guard (name him on your own :)

"Hey stop! Are you really going to cause another ruckus again?!" you slapped your bodyguard's shoulder with him face to face with Jake, not listening to you even though you're right under his nose. *Sigh*, what a literal dumbass. "If I may pardon, my master is not allowed to give money to a pity young man. Poor thing, If I may excu- Oh." (b/n) was stopped by Jake himself when he was pushed into the ground, crumpling the pieces of cash that is now stained with the mushy and earthy-tone color of the mud. "What did you say? Listen here you bastard, you have no right to see others below you. So shut the fuck up." the raven-haired boy replied back with a hiss before he was head-butted by no other than him. You have to stop this fight or else you'll be back from being homeschooled.

"(B/N)! STOP THIS ISN'T LIKE YOU!" you exclaimed as he smirked, hands protecting you from the "threat" when he's the one who's causing drama. "Don't worry ma'am/sir. It's been a long time since I got worked up. So, I won't mind being in the hospital bed later." Smirking, he was about to rush and land an attack when you got in between the two young lads. "Seriously, if you're here on my side for the money then stop being an ass to him. We'll talk later." (B/n) let his guard down as he bring his fist down along with Jake. These guys in your town are really like rabid dogs.

Apologizing to Jake, you bowed as he helped you pick up the cash that is not yet stained (or too dirty rather) with you just encouraging him to take it as he watched you disappear with that arrogant bastard.

"Ms./Mr. Y/N. You seem to be lost in your thoughts." you scowled at him for interrupting your daydream. Jake Kim. Not only he is charming but even when you still want to learn things about him, he seem to be a nice guy. "Is that Jake that you're thinking about?" "Tch. Shut up. I still need to deal with you for beating another person's ass." you replied bluntly once again as he chuckled at your reaction, him getting entertained. "Ah, I'm sorry for causing you trouble when I should be the one protecting you." he teased once again as you sighed and got up of your chair to pick up the stack of paper that needs to be placed on the faculty room, you trying to suppress your feeling of annoyance over his existence. "Just shut up and help me with carrying this." "Of course, ma'am/sir." Well, he has to act nice to you if he wants to get that extra cash to flew off this shitty country. Opening the faculty door, he opened the door for you despite him carrying the important files on his one hand. "After you~"

A little bit late, but I wanted to make sure to do this for my own records! I've watched so many shows now, it helps to have something down more formally to remember stuff.

A few notes:

This includes shows that started in 2022 and finished in 2023.

No shows that are currently still airing - how the ending lands is too critical for me.

There's some shows I know I'm going to love that I just haven't had time to see yet, so if there are any shocking absences, that's probably why.

Bed Friends

I was not the biggest fan of Cutie Pie, so entered this one with a fair amount of skepticism. But what a lovely surprise. Uea was such an incredible lead and so well-characterized, his trauma was handled seriously, and though there were occasional hiccups due to drama, overall King was such a respectful and supportive partner. And let's not forget the cat ears.

Laws of Attraction

What a ride this show was! I had not watched To Sir with Love, so had no familiarity with Jam or Film, but they were amazing here. The side couple of disaster muffin + loving bodyguard were pitch perfect, there were fantastic women characters who actually had significant roles in the story, and who can forget our wonderful chaotic Nawin? The story was compelling, the emotional points hit, and even when it leaned towards the ridiculous, it always remained aware of what it was.

My School President

I still remember watching the trailer for Our Skyy 2 and noticing two random dudes I had never seen before. Little did I know!

I don't have much to say except that this was pure charm from start to finish, and Fourth & Gemini were a delight. Pure comfort watch.

Our Dating Sim

I adored this show from start to finish. I could understand the motivations of both characters, I was deeply invested in their relationship, and they felt so utterly natural once they got together. 10/10, no notes.

Jun & Jun

This was a little messy at times, and missed an opportunity to lean more into D/s dynamics, but I really liked all the characters, the leads had great chemistry, and it was refreshing to see a Korean BL be more open about sexual desire in a relationship.

The End of the World With You

This one could have easily gone off the rails. End of the world stories can be very tricky to pull off. But there was such a solid emotional core to the storytelling, and it kept such a hold of my heart.

My Personal Weatherman

One thing I think Japan does extremely well is stories about people who have extremely deep internal lives, but don't show much on the surface. As someone quite introverted, who keeps a lot of things on the inside, I relate a lot to this. This show did such a good job of showing how challenging it can be to communicate with those we love, and the rewards once you are able to break through and really understand each other.

Kiseki: Dear to Me

Of course it's Kiseki. This series was amazing. I don't care we never really understood any of the mafia stuff, that was all set dressing for some of the best couple work ever.

I will never stop calling this a BL. Some day GMMTV will realize that Gun has too much chemistry with other people to keep him only with Off. Also, we got Nanon playing evil, which was so sexy.

his hair used to be short, but overtime as he worked as a hunter, it grew and Eun-seok just let it that way.

similarly to Byung-gyu, who liked Korean history, Eun-seok likes European history. (credits to Storm for the idea)

his scarf was woven and given by his mother as his birthday gift when he was young. Eun-seok treasures it deeply and wears it daily.

Tae-gyu was the person he had gotten close first, but since Tae-gyu was a guild master and tended to be busy, Eun-seok found a more significant connection in Yoon-ho and Byung-gyu.

He doesn't usually drink alcohol, nor he is fond of it.

His guilty pleasure is romance dramas. Yet, he is oblivious when someone likes him.

He sings while showering sometimes.

Eun-seok hates using hair gel. The last time he used it for an important broadcast, the audience mistook him for someone's bodyguard. Tae-gyu, Yoon-ho, and Byung-gyu teased him for looking like a waiter.

Doing house chores keeps him relaxed.

He looks after lower-ranked and younger hunters then gives them advice to improve well. Eun-seok has always wanted a sibling, but never got one, so he treats other hunters that way to feel like an older brother.

His strong emotions can affect his powers, so if he's mad, even if he is hiding it, the sign is obvious. Look at the sky or any electrical appliances!

Eun-seok is more of a milk person, not tea or coffee.

He's a great tracker.

Tae-gyu once offered him to be the vice master, but Eun-seok declined for some reason.

He lets his hair down whenever he's at home.

Eun-seok likes watching the sunset.

His love language is acts of service.

He once had a pet dog as a teenager, though he wants to care for one again, only if his hunting duties isn't being the big wall and Eun-seok thinks he might not care look after a dog all the time.

Eun-seok isn't overly chaotic in fights unlike his two best friends, but is very outgoing outside of dungeons.

Have a little snippet-

Maybe he should feel awkward as he stands before Phayu naked as the day he was born into this world, but he doesn’t.

It has been a decade since Phayu last saw him like this.

When three men came up, two of them were these built, Europeans, clearly not from here. The third one was in between the two looking a bit scared. “Go on tell them, that we are of age! Before we beat you again!” The men said in Italian. 

You understood the language, and observed the much more thinner males body, he was very skinny, his skin was red, his eyes were bloodshot, tears had run down his face, and his hair was messed up.

“H-Help..” is all he said in a Korean. “These men broke into my apartment and kidnapped me, so I could translate..” he said. ‘Teddy’ looked at you and you nod.

You let the through the door, but before the could entered, you grabbed both the Europeans arms and pushed the out.

“What the fuck did that punk say!” The first male says in Italian. “It was your dirty mouth that got you in trouble, I can speak Italian.” You said back to defending the male behind you.

‘Teddy’ stood infront of them and they quickly ran off, as you faced the poor male. “Our shifts are over in 5 minutes, can you wait for us to escourt you the hospital?”

He nodded, and when taking him to hospital you learned things about each other. His name was Hwang Hyunjin, and he lived in Gangnam, he is studying to be a dancer. He learned, that you are a martial artist and have pursued a career, in teaching others self-defense.

He also learned that ‘Teddy’ was actually named Taehyun and he had been your bodyguard since birth. Your parents insisted on keeping him hired since your career choice.

You paid for Hyunjin’s hospital bills, since the poor boy had been through so much in one night. A couple weeks later he had sent you a letter, thanking you and paying back double, and signed his name with his phone number.

Modern Cdramas I watched in 2023

This was my first year in Dramaland (both Chinese and Korean). And I have to say that for the most part I have enjoyed my journey in discovering the dramas. This list includes dramas that were released before 2023 as well.

9. Love of Replica

This one of those dramas with lookalikes where the female lead impersonates her lookalike and solves the mystery about her backstory. Also, it's a bodyguard romance so I definitely expected some things going in. It's full of cliches and tropes some enjoyable and some irritating. I have to praise Yu Yue (actress portraying the female lead), she really made me believe that lookalikes were two completely different people. The chemistry between the main couple is fire. I did not enjoy the secondary characters' romance. However the overall squad energy and their team dynamic was great. I kinda guessed the twist but was surprised by how dark the drama went. Overall, I liked most of it and I was disappointed how some of the characters ended up. If you want a bodyguard romance with kinda obvious twists with very good cast chemistry then you'll probably like it.

8. Parallel Love

This is a time travel drama (you'll see more of these in this list) where Lin Miao, the female lead travels from 2020 to 2010 and she must help Jiao Yang, who is the Vice President of Hong Yu, become the president of the company within 3 months otherwise she will disappear forever. What I liked most about is that Lin Miao is very competant and smart, even if she is not experienced for the task she will still try her best and give it her all. I enjoyed the romance and the dynamic of the main leads. It definitely has plot holes regarding time travel and the rules were not properly explained. They also did not really focus much on the time travel part and did use the potential things that they could do with time travel. However, the interaction between the present and the future Lin Miao was very well done and something that many people would be able to relate to. The business plot was medium and not very interesting. The main leads' personalities and character arcs was the reason why I enjoyed the drama. However, they left the ending ambiguous so if you don't mind open endings then you'll enjoy this time travel/corporate romance drama.

7. Love under the Full Moon

Another time travel drama with a twist that Lei Chu Xia (female lead), who has time travelled 10 years into the future can't leave Xu Xiao Dong side beyond a certain distance. Together they work to recover her memory to unravel the mysteries of the past decade. This drama has great romance, unique time travel premises further in the series, good character development for the main and secondary cast, an antagonist that seems like a real person which makes it seem like we could meet someone like them in real life and a plot with unexpected paths. However, it does have a bittersweet open ending which could make some people hate the drama. Despite that I really liked the drama.

6. Mr. Bad

One day, Nan Xing, an online novel writer makes a wish for an "unforgettable love" in a wishing pool. Then, Xiao Wu Di, the villain of her story, suddenly appears before her! She tries to avoid him, but Xiao Wu Di finds her and threatens her into taking care of him. Unfortunately for him, Nan Xing's wish comes with a special power: whenever she needs help, Xiao Wu Di teleports next to her to fulfill her wish. It's fun, fluffy and sweet with not much angst. The romance is cute and the dynamic with the secondary cast is enjoyable. The ending frustrated me but I assume they did it to pass the censors so I just pretend the last 7 mins don't exist. This is one of those shows you can watch when you just want to turn your brain off and watch a sweet story.

5. My Lethal Man

It's premise is similar to Love of Replica however here Shen Man Ning, an art student takes the place of Zhuang Xin Yan, granddaughter of a business tycoon. Yan Xing Cheng, the mysterious male lead is ruthless in pursuing the mastermind behind the threats and is not really sympathetic to Xin Yan but as they face the difficulties together they fall in love. The romance is so good and their dynamic is very different from typical ones. I found the secondary characters' romance weird and poorly done. The plot was really good and the pace kept moving along nicely. Except for the secondary romance, I had a great time watching it, I really recommend this one if you want a drama that balances mystery/thriller and romance and does a good job at both aspects.

4. Love in Time

A time travel drama again ! This is the last one though. This one is unique because the appartment in which He Zhen Yu has recently moved into merges with it's past one. This is how he meets a rookie reporter Chen Jia Lan who is a former tenant from four months ago, and through some miracle, they are able to see each other. When they attempt to prevent future misfortunes by changing the past together, their romance blossoms. Their romance was so good that I really ended up hardcore rooting for them to get their happy ending. I don't want to give away too much so all I'll say is that the time travel and its consequences were handled very well for the most part and the plot was interesting and took surprising turns. He Zhen Yu's character arc was very well portrayed on the other hand while in the beginning I related to Chen Jia Lan, in the latter part of the drama I was frustrated with her choices and how she didn't have a character growth moment. All the actors did a good job but I have to say that the main leads' acting was very good and made me very immersed in their story. All in all, I had a very good time watching it as the ending brought it all together for me.

3. Lucky's First Love

It's one of those office romances which has a light tone for the most part. Xing Yun is competent and hardworking who was there with Xia Ke when he started the company. They have been working together for years and have deep understanding of each other and work well together. Thankfully, Xia Ke is not one of those CEOs who are jerks and cold hearted. He may be reserved but he is quite caring (not in an overt way) not only towards Xing Yun but also his employees. Xing Yun does go out with someone else in the start but it doesn't last long and love triangle shenanigans are not long drawn out. The main leads' romance is sweet and depicts their daily interactions and they have great kiss scenes. The secondary couples are also great. This drama has character development for main and secondary characters, wholesome workplace and family dynamics, no over the top melodrama, lifelike workplace and relationship issues, slice of life interactions and very little angst. This is a great watch for when you need something short and sweet that's not too heavy.

2. Ordinary Greatness

The show mainly focuses on novice police officers that are starting their one year long mentorship. They soon discover that the grass-roots work is different from what they imagined, and, after some struggles, they're gradually moved by the sense of achievement and honour gained in their work. Throughout the show we explore their characters, their comraderie with each other, with their mentors and with other police officers at their station. We also get to know their mentors and other police officers at the station which immerses the audience in the show deeply. It is a slice of life type drama, where most of the cases are not major crimes. All actors knock it out of the park with their emotional as well as subtle portrayals. This show depicts how even small acts and seemingly tedious and insignificant work really have great impact on people's lives and that the people doing such grassroots work contribute just as much and are just as important to the society if not more as the people doing big acts like taking down criminal gangs. While some situations and cases are specific to China, everyone will be able to relate to majority of them. I must say this is a must watch drama.

1. Arsenal Military Academy

This is a Republican era drama in which Xie Xiang assumes her brother's identity to join the Chinese army and is accepted in the Arsenal Military Academy. While she is the main lead the story also follows Gu Yan Zheng(main lead) - a spoilt quarrelsome rich kid, the gentle and introverted Shen Jun San, Qu Man Ting - a famous actress and singer and secondarily other cadets, their teachers and other locals. It has great comedy, really good romance (including their hilarious bickering), enjoyable action and entertaining dynamic of the cast. All the actors did an excellent job here, the standouts being Bai Lu, for portraying being able to convincingly play the female role and the female disguised as male role all while knocking out her emotional and comedic scenes and Xu Kai, who can forget his electrifying performance as a lovable troublemaker. I have to warn you that the story gets serious in the last 10ish episodes and that the love triangle does drag out a little bit longer than it should but it's resolution is still good. To me the drama didn't seem overly patriotic so I didn't have a problem rooting for the characters and their goals of protecting and improving their country. This ranked first because it's romance, characters and their comraderie won me over completely.

MY TOP 15 BL’S OF 2020

WOW, 2020 was A YEAR. This was hard ranking these but I'll try my best...

1. Where Your Eyes Linger [Korean] - One of my all time favorite series, I think because I really felt the chemistry between the actors in this one. I love the whole bodyguard sort of trope as well and the writing in this was so well done imo. I loved the tension filled moments and build up between the two. I just wanted moreeeee.

2. I Told Sunset About You [Thai] - Season 2 was iffy but season 1 was AMAZING from start to finish. I felt like I watching a movie. The writing, the scenery, the build up for the main pair... it was all so well done.

3. Color Rush [Korean] - The storyline for this BL is just so fun, I really loved the entire premise of this world. The chemistry between the two was nice and Korea does such a good job of building up the connection between their pairings. I'm sad that season 2 dipped a bit in quality and that season 1 felt a tad unfinished, but I still really enjoyed it.

4. Why R U [Thai] - This was a well done BL that was fun, I enjoyed the chemistry between Saint and Zee and I didn't find the drama or the angst overwhelmingly frustating. Plus it had a nice side ship and I liked the love scenes too.

5. 2gether [Thai] - I know people love this one, and I really enjoyed it too. It's perfect for those with a sweet tooth. There are some really great affectionate/sweet moments betweeen the main pairing. It was also the first BL I ever watched (if you don't count waterboyyy way back in the day lol) so it has a soft spot in my heart. But I do think it was a tad too safe for me. I prefer my BL's to have angstier/hotter moments throughout. The ending kiss made up for things, but it was unreastic to not have a proper kiss beore that. JMO.

6. Manner of Death [Thai] - I saw a gif of maxtul from this on tumblr and it's what originally got me into BL's. It spiked my interest. I see those two as the grandfathers of BL because they have been in so many things together, and their connection is so strong. I enjoyed this one a lot because it was a more mature series, and had it's own vibe/feel to it that I really appreciated.

7. TharnType Season 2 [Thai] - Season 2 wasn't as strong as season 1 for me but it was still enjoyable. I was really into Mew/Gulf and their chemistry when I first started watching BL's because it felt so genuine to me, and T+T was one of the first shows to really push the boundaries with the intimacy. Solid season.

8. Your Name Engraved Herein [Taiwan] - This was such a beautiful movie, with a positive ending, and I really loved watching it. It was depressng at times, but overall I just think it was so well done.

9. Mr. Heart [Korean] - Recently rewatched this series and it was so good! So fun and enjoyable. Loved the storyline, it felt pretty unique. I enjoyed the connection between the main two. What brings it down for me a bit is some of the physical moments in the series, like when one of them would hit the other... not for me. But overall, I could look past some of things because I enjoyed the rest of it.

10. Cherry Magic [Japan] - Such a cute and fun series, and definitely one of the most memorable ones for Japan. I had a bit of an issue with the intimacy stuff (they really couldn't even peck on the lips once??? It felt too platonic to me at times) but that aside, it was well written and a great watch.

11. Boy’s Lockdown [Filo] - This is actually my favorite of all the "quarantine" related series we got after Covid. To me, it was cute and fun and we got to see the main two come together in a nice and organic way. It was a good mix of different content.

12. Gaya Sa Pelikula [Filo] - Some cheesey/annoying moments for me, mostly regarding the sister character, but the rest of the series was nicely done. It also sort of felt like a mini movie. It has a slightly different vibe for me from other Filo series. I enjoyed it a lot.

13. Wish You [Korea] - Not my ultimate favorite series from Korea but it was well done. Wish I had more to say about it haha. But it was good.

14. Hello Stranger [Filo] - Another quarantine related story, and for a "web series" where the characters never really met til the end, it was really enjoyable. It was a great depiction of what students were going through during covid and I liked the way they went from scene to scene and did different interactions.

15. Because of You [Taiwan] - Def. some low/cheesey moments in this one as well but it was the first Taiwan series that I saw, so I enjoyed how different it felt compared to the other countries. Taiwan definitely has it's own style too. I liked that there were three couples in this one, and I enjoyed all three storylines.

Honorary Mentions: I'm not going into details with any of these series, overall I found parts of them enjoyable, but there were things I didn't love overall. But still worth checking out.

Honest Comment : This series was aired during the Covid-19 Pandemic and most people use Netflix that day up until now when I first heard that the leading man is Lee Min Ho I literally waited for it with my mom and when the first episode was aired we are like confuse about the story of how that happen but when the other episode was aired little by little we understand and we totally love it the chemistry they have is different the feeling of watching it for the first time there is a scene that we literally waited when Lee Min Ho protected Kim Go Eun is nostalgia I feel every emotions like wishing that it was me hahaha overall plot and story is a masterpiece and I will always recommend this you will feel in love.
