SO, I have a small list to all the OCs I want to draw/ honor bc ever since I joined the Syndicate Fandom (for real), many artists and writters have inspired me to create and develop my own OC (Solange Cotoner) along with her ship with Jacob. It may sound silly, and even a bit stupid, since I don't know many of you guys, but I feel really grateful to follow your work and see your passion with that (sort of) circus that is Syndicate and our chaotic victorian twins 🥹.
.
So... The OCs mentioned and their respective creators:

Again, I'm so sorry for tagging all of you on this, but I really wanted to do a gesture to the people that inspired me, even if they had no idea... And sorry for my over enthusiasm, I don't mean to scare you all or smth. 🥹🥲

new OC :) his name is Boone Hart (he/him)
fun fact: he is in the wrong time. he should be in 1882 but he got transported to 2023.
sometimes people have no idea what he's talking about cause he's talking in old timey cowboy slang a good bit of the time
he's also so confused by new technology cause i mean. he's in the wrong time. but you can set him down in front of an ipad and play a baby sensory video, completely capturing his attention /hj (this just in: big, tough cowboy gets calmed down by baby sensory videos /silly)
he'd also probably like kinetic sand but watch him or he might try to eat it out of curiosity
yes, he's being added to Abigail's polycule cause i think the polycule needs an old timey cowboy lol
:00000!!!!!! Omg i love him i would show him all the YEEHAs that i have here in brazil /j /silly
I want to gibe him a kiss!! Aaaaaa

Today on oc rambling: Nettle’s relationships (dragon on the left)
Inserting a read more to spare y’all the scrolling :v
I don’t think there’s any tw’s needed but fair warning Nettle is a morally grey character (at the very least) so take that as you will.
Sorrow (her true mate, dragon on the right): At first becoming mates as a power move, a way to help solidify leadership in the coup that let them take authority as sovereigns, Nettle cares for Sorrow romantically, in her own way, be that as it may, either one would sacrifice the other ultimately if they got in the way of each other’s goals.
Dregs (former trophy mate): Used to care for him in a way a child might “love” a bug or other small fragile object, until one day they accidentally squish it and forget about it in easily with no emotional sentiment attached whatsoever. Conditionally. Treated him well only when he obeyed her, & now that he’s gone against her wishes by refusing to provide future offspring she has discarded him like trash. Sees him with disdain, but doubts she wants to actually kill him until he actually does something to make her truly hate him.
Balthazar (current trophy mate): Treats him like a beloved pet, but nothing more, not like a fully functional sentient being. There’s no real love involved here, just emotional manipulation. Values his magical abilities as a seer, so would doubtfully kill him unless absolutely necessary.
Vile (granddaughter): Dotes upon her, but also keeps her under an iron thumb to prevent any sort of future that strays from Nettle’s vision of her as her heir. Given Nettle discards anyone (including relatives which are typically shown favor) that don’t align with her goals, she likely doesn’t view Vile as anything other than means to an end. Since Vile has obeyed her so far, being relatively young & knowing little else from how she was raised, Nettle favors her.
Nicodemus (war tactician & Sorrow’s trophy mate): Values him for his expertise in battle & his ability to provide her & Sorrow future offspring, but can’t help but be a little jealous. The fact both are arrogant & vain doesn't help in clashing either.
Pthisis (Sorrow’s former trophy mate): Finds him to be the same as Dregs, cast off as so much trash after he also refused to provide future offspring. Him & Dregs now stand on shaky ground with Nettle/Sorrow for this reason, & could possibly be jailed for the slightest misstep in judgement. Dislikes him even more after finding out Pthisis & Dregs are now in a romantic relationship out of simple pettiness.
Hackshaw/Sgaille/Lazarus/Eowyn/Sinew/etc. (various nieces & nephews): All means to an end that she variously shows favor to depending on how well they preform in their duties. Hackshaw would be her favorite of the bunch due to her bloodthirsty nature & dedication.
Hubris/Despair (twin children): Current bodyguards/hounds under an Arcanic mind control spell conjured by her. Before taking control of them, she hated their constant bickering. Now, she enjoys the quiet & ability to easily send them  off to clean up loose ends.
Mochlic (aunt): Never liked her, having been jealous of her having a stable relationship with Nettle’s grandparents, but now that Mochlic has shed her false persona & aligned herself with Chel/Shaffron in a new faction that Nettle suspects to be against the current sovereignty she hates Mochlic even more.
Teuri (adopted daughter): Currently one of Nettle’s little pet projects of emotional manipulation, seeing as how Tueri’s lineage and abilities are very powerful it could be a boon to Nettle.
Aubin/Hart (Former war general turned war criminal & his daughter): Another pet project, Nettle & Sorrow currently provide them asylum turned prison in exchange for valuable advising on war tactics, although the second they become dead weight Nettle has no issue casting them out.
Jocasta (adopted son?): Yet another pet project in the making, a young Plague Primal Ridgeback with powerful magical abilities that Nettle is raising for her own gains, possibly as a member of her inner circle.

A Noble Quest - Wiztober Day 18
This story is about my non-wizard wizard 101 OC Iridian! The defeat theme is more subtle, as it’s not so much a defeat for her as it is a defeat for the rest of Avalon...
CW: blood, gore, graphic violence
Tumblr media
Art and editing done by @spiralcompendium
It should have been another calm day in Avalon.
It should have been, but early that morning, a roar from the wild jolted everyone in Caer Lyon out of their peaceful sleep. The nobility and townsfolk alike gathered at the city entrance to see what would cause such a commotion. Only a few minutes passed before they saw her riding out of the woods into the city.
She appeared to be a wealthy, gallant knight; riding into town in shining steel plate armor, partisan and shield strapped to her back. Her family insignia was proudly displayed on her chest - a boar and a bull, flanking a silver axe. She rode upon what appeared to be the source of the vicious roar, a dignified lightning lizard with two large horns, storm energy crackling and sparkling around its mouth, and two massive wings, folded against its sides. Upon seeing the crowd, she lifted her visor to reveal an attractive, but intense face. She had piercing white irises while the whites appeared dull and gray. A strand of pure white hair fell into her face, which she brushed aside. She began to address the crowd.
“Good people of this city, I am Ser Iridian.”
At this point, the city mayor had pushed his way to the front of the crowd, and addressed her in turn. “To what do we owe the pleasure of your disruption?”
“I’m simply passing through. I’m on a noble quest you see. There’s a vitally important task I must complete. Indeed, failure to complete this task could even result in the destruction of your home.” At this, the crowd gasped and began to part to let her though. “I do apologize for disrupting your pleasant morning, but I had to stop for supplies on the way to my destination, and Tencendur,” she stopped to touch her dragon’s neck, “Tencendur here needed to hunt. Now if you could point me to the blacksmith, I’ll be on my way momentarily.”
The mayor pointed her in the right direction, and she rode off towards the lower district. Arriving at the smithy, she removed her shield and spear and set them down on the table. They both looked like they had seen years of use without proper repair, had layers of rust coating most surfaces, and had accumulated some sort of strange swirling energy. “Fix these up for me, would you? Price is no object, just get it done as quick as you can.”
“Very well,” the smith answered. He continued, “If ya don’t mind my askin’, what sort of quest are ye on anyway? What’s this destruction ye speak of?”
“It’s a family who lives just outside the city walls. I’ve heard of them doing just the most horrible things you could imagine - forcing children to fight for their amusement then tossing them on the street as soon as they lose, leaving the poor babe a traumatized mess. It’s my belief that this behavior shouldn’t be allowed to continue. After all, imagine having your own children taken away for their amusement!”
At this, the blacksmith recoiled. “Ma’am, that sounds downright awful. We can’t have people out there just doing things like that! Tell ye what, for such a noble quest as yours, I’ll do the work free of charge.”
Only a few hours later, Iridian headed out of the city gate and approached the large manor where the family lived, perfectly sharpened and polished weaponry in hand. She wound her way up the twisting path to the door while the serfs toiling the fields nearby looked away, occasionally shooting her fearful glances. As she approached the door, two men in plate armor crossed their swords in front of her, blocking her entrance. They sternly addressed her, “What is your business here?”
“I’m here to deliver a boon to the head of this manor, Sir Cedric Ward. I wish an audience with him at once.”
“What’s your name? Do you have an appointment? I’ll need to see proof of identification, a signed document of good intent, and a -”
The last word never left the guards lips, as Iridian had drawn her spear as he was speaking and thrust it into his throat. Blood ran from his neck as gurgling replaced the end of his tirade and he collapsed. The other guard raised a horn to his lips and began to blow, signaling the other guards in the barracks, but before he could get a second note out, Iridian had batted the instrument away with her shield, and plunged her spear into his stomach. She sliced to the side as she pulled it out, spilling entrails all over the entryway.
“Well, I’d hoped we’d have a cleaner start than this,” she thought to herself as she dismounted Tencendur. Turning to address the dragon, she said, “Those other guards will be here in no time. I’m heading inside. Protect me, alright?” The dragon snorted in understanding as she opened the front door.
She stepped into the extravagant entryway. Tapestries lined the walls, and a long hallway stretched out before her with many rooms on either side and a staircase in the back. She had three targets that needed to be taken out, three that were all complicit in the family’s crimes - the father, the mother, and their son.
She began her search of the house, beginning with the kitchen. She opened the door, only to be greeted by the shriek of two servants who were, moments before, butchering a freshly killed hart. One of them began to shout “Lady Ward! Lady Ward!” Iridian was quick to interrupt him, whisper-yelling “Keep quiet!” but to no avail, the servant kept shrieking. She interrupted him a second time with a spear to the heart, then quickly delivered a slash across the second servant’s neck. Both collapsed to the ground as blood began to pool around them.
“I’d wanted to avoid unnecessary death, but I will not allow anyone to get in my way,” she muttered to herself, gazing at the bodies. As she turned to leave the room though, she heard footsteps. She quickly positioned herself in the shadowy corner where the stone oven didn’t quite touch the wall. Soon the footsteps materialized as a woman in a floor-length beige and green gown, standing where she had a moment before, gazing down at the grisly scene.
Lady Ward shouted in rage, “Whoever you are, show yourself! Now!” She pulled a dagger out of her shoe and continued to yell, “I’ll cut you down where you stand!” At this moment, Iridian made herself known. She stepped out from the shadows and simply said, “Here I am.” Lady Ward turned and saw her, and her expression turned from rage to horror.
“Y-y-you! It’s not possible!”
“Yes, Lady Sybil Ward,” she said mockingly. “It is me. Your crimes are at an end.” She swung her shield at the Lady’s head, knocking her unconscious as she fell to the ground. “You will be punished for your misdeeds.” She raised her sabaton, and placed it on the unconscious woman’s head. “I will make sure you never hurt any child again!” She shifted all her weight onto the foot and pushed until she felt a crack. As the skull gave way, blood and matter splashed all around the floor. Iridian strolled over to the washing basin and splashed water on her armor, cleaning herself off. She mentally noted, “That’s one down. Doing well so far,” and exited the kitchen, closing the door on the mess she had left.
Back in the hallway, she marched up the stairs and made her way to Cedric’s study. As she passed one of the smaller offices, however, a servant stepped out into her path. He began to profusely apologize, but Iridian, now with fresh, noble blood on her mind, took her spear and impaled him without a second thought.
Arriving at the solar, she attempted to open the door but found it locked. Throwing all remaining sense of stealth to the wind, she kicked it down. Standing in front of her was Sir Ward himself standing in full armor and snatching a large claymore from one of the many racks of weapons. He turned to face her, weapon at the ready.
“Ah, Iridian. I supposed something out of the ordinary was going on, but I never thought I would see your hideous face again. Turn and flee now, and I may even let you live.”
“Flee? I could never do such a cowardly thing! I have lived in the Wyrd for the last ten years absorbing its harsh lessons. I’ve spent every day training and preparing myself for this moment when I can at last put you on trial--trial by combat!” Iridian’s face twisted into a dark grin as her eyes filled with rage and her dark whites swirled as if some mysterious force was working beneath.
“Very well then, if that’s what you want, then you will not leave this room alive!” Sir Ward lunged, sword poised to strike, but as he brought it down on her head, Iridian deflected it with her shield, stabbing her spear towards his undefended shoulder. He barely twisted out of the way and retaliated with a kick that sent her stumbling off balance.
As she fell to the ground, Sir Ward raised his sword up above her chest and plunged it down, but she rolled out of the way and jumped to her feet. She parried the next strike. This time taking better advantage of her opening, she plunged the spear into his clavicle.
He staggered back, dropping his weapon and clutching the handle as he fell to the ground. “I see… you’ve improved quite a lot…”
“I simply had a task set before me. I did what was necessary to accomplish it.”
Ser Ward continued, “I only ask… ask that you grant this old man one dying request… Please… spare my son…”
As the last words left his lips, he went limp. Iridian pulled the spear out of his shoulder, then, to ensure the deed was done, took the claymore and severed his head with it. As blood soaked into the carpet, she muttered to herself, “That’s two down. I’m sorry old man, but I must deny your request.” She made her way up to the top floor of the castle, and out onto the wall connecting the main building to the bedroom tower. A guard outside the door attempted to stop her entry, but she grabbed his shoulders and flung him over the crenellations without a word.
Stepping inside, she saw a child, only ten years old, drawing at the foot of a small bed. Silently, she raised her spear, and plunged it through the top of the boy’s skull. “That’s three,” she declared. She turned to leave the room, pausing to glance at the half-finished drawing. It matched the coat of arms displayed throughout the house--a bull and a boar flanking a silver axe.
She made her way back through the manor and stepped outside, where Tencendur was standing, surrounded by bodies scorched beyond recognition. Ser Iridian Ward mounted her dragon, and they took flight towards the Wyrd. As they passed over Caer Lyon, the dragon roared.

Dragon Age Questions
@dirthara-mama tagged me for this! Thank you!! <3 I’ll tag @mabarihounds @antivan-surana and @vlwv
01) Favourite game of the series?
Origins! It’s the first one I played, and each time I pick it up I find something entirely new in the experience. The characters feel like old friends, and the dialogue is really charming. It also has a ridiculous high-fantasy vibe that I love, which seems to be lacking in later games. I know it’s silly, I know it’s absurd and dated... but you just can’t beat that possessed rhyming oak tree npc…
02) How did you discover Dragon Age?
When Inquisition was announced, I started seeing a lot of it on my dash, so a friend and I started playing the series! I was hooked pretty much right away.
03) How many times you’ve played the games?
I’ve finished Origins three times, DA2 twice, and I’m currently playing Inquisition for the first time!!  Exciting!
I also have a handful of unfinished playthroughs on Origins, which were attempts to create new Warden characters, but none of them got past the first quest. I just love my Mahariel too much…
04) Favourite race to play as?
Elves! I love the worldbuilding behind them, the city elves, the Dalish, and the ancient elves. I hate pretty much everything about how these issues are handled in game, though.
05) Favourite class?
Mage!
06) Do you play through the games differently or do you make the same decisions each time?
Pretty much. I have tried to play as different characters so as to explore different outcomes and decisions, but again… I love my OCs too damn much.
07) Go-to adventuring group?
Origins: Hamal, Zevran, Morrigan, Sten. DA2: Renata, Varric, Anders, Isabela. Inquisition: Neluayo, Varric, Blackwall, Sera—so far!
08) Which of your characters did you put the most thought into?
Listen, I love creating OCs and putting ridiculous amounts of thought into them. It went from being a coping mechanism as a newly immigrated depressed and anxious child, to something I still love as an adult. I have a hard time picking one OC I put the most thought into…
But because I’ve played Origins the most, and played it first, Hamal has a lot more content in his tag than my other Dragon Age OCs. He’s my baby and I adore him.
09) Favourite romance?
Zevran’s, no question. I think he may be one of my favorite characters in the series, romance or no! I love his background and his personality and his character arc. My boy...
10) Have you read any of the comics/books?
Nope!
11) If you read them, which was your favourite book?
Didn’t read any of them but I do own World of Thedas v1 and v2, and it seems each time I open it I find something new and surprising about the world. I love it!
12) Favourite DLCs?
I really enjoyed Return to Ostagar for Origins, and Legacy for Dragon Age 2. I know Inquisition has some amazing DLC content so I’m looking forward to that!
13) Things that annoy you.
The constant retconning, and rewriting of issues to suit a certain agenda in game. Especially regarding treatment of the mages or the elves. Like, I know this is a fictional narrative, okay? But it’s annoying to watch the story go from ‘Templars are unequivocally abusing their power and oppressing this group of people’ to ‘well they have good reason for it, sometimes you have to massacre an entire population because of one incident, it’s Gray Morality™ sweetie!’
Nah, it’s just bad writing! And it’s okay to admit that lol
14) Orlais or Ferelden?
I have no strong feelings on the matter. Would love to hear more about Antiva or Seheron!
15) Templars or mages?
Mages!
16) If you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one?
Same universe. I don’t have an interest in having multiple Wardens or Hawkes tbh, I... I get too attached lol
17) What did you name your pets? (mabari, summoned animals, mounts, etc)
Hamal calls his mabari D’alen. He is the most spoiled mabari in all of Thedas, typically guarding the camp, never fighting or being placed in danger. Renata calls her mabari Nicolo, and she loves putting warpaint on him. The dog accompanied Carver at Ostagar and takes care of the family over their years in Kirkwall. I still need to name Neluayo’s hart!
18) Have you installed any mods?
A few for Origins (different robes for Morrigan and the realistic appearance mods for companions), and several for DA2 (dialogue tweaks and new hair/appearance options). But Inquisition seems kinda complicated to mod, and I don’t want to break the game hhhh
19) Did your Warden want to become a Grey Warden?
No, he wanted to find Tamlen and go back to his clan. He actually did take off after Ostagar, driven by anger and fear and homesickness. Alistair was devastated. Morrigan had to go and fetch him, convincing him to return.
20) Hawke’s personality?
A good mix of purple and blue, but let’s be real, Renata is pink. Whimsy, whimsy, whimsy.
21) Did you make matching armor for your companions in Inquisition?
I haven’t played around with armor creation yet… sounds fun though!
22) If your character(s) could go back in time to change one thing, what would they change?
Hamal would have gone after Tamlen. It’s his greatest regret. Even before encountering him as a ghoul, Hamal was never able to shake the feeling that Tamlen had survived. But Duncan shot down every hope, and there was so much going on after Ostagar… there came a point where Hamal accepted that Tamlen was gone.
When he shows up again, too far beyond any help but a blade between his ribs? It’s not something he ever gets over.
23) Do you have any headcanons about your character(s) that go against canon?
Oh I love breaking canon.
Hamal never becomes Warden Commander. His political influence by the time of the Landsmeet is as perilous as you might expect of an angry and traumatized Dalish elf whose interest was more on surviving and defeating the Blight, than, say, being on any noble’s good side. The only reason he isn’t immediately executed is because he and his allies called in many favors and made many concessions. One being that he would leave the Wardens and not remain politically involved. Frankly, the crown and nobility hoped he would perish against the Archdemon. But here we are!
Alistair becomes Warden Commander instead. Receiving the boon comes with challenges of its own. The Dalish receive all the land that was most tainted by the Blight. Reconstruction takes years and is still an issue during Inquisition era.
To that end, the political influence of the Dalish during Inquisition leads to a lot of changes for Neluayo’s canon too. Because the elves have a hold over much of the south, the Inquisition needs to ally with them to even gain access to those regions. Neluayo being Dalish herself smooths things over some, but she is really in a complex position, with the Dalish, with the Chantry, with the monarchy… being stationed in the Free Marches, Clan Lavellan is one of the clans that has yet to join the southern Dalish. It’s a huge stressor for her.
As for Hawke, I keep both her siblings alive. Renata needs her little sister ;; <3 They do all go their separate ways after events in Kirkwall though. Orsino is also alive. Varric was clearly covering for him!
And I know Hawke already has a VA buuuut I headcanon Renata’s voice to sound more like Brittany Howard’s! Because it’s adorable.
24) Are any of your character(s) based on someone?
Not really. I never create them with any one source of inspiration or influence in mind.
25) Who did you leave in the Fade?
I’m gonna leave Stroud in the Fade! Makes my life a lot easier lol
26) Favourite mount?
I’ll agree that the harts are amazing! And they’re just so TALL. Love those majestic Thedosian megafauna. The bog unicorns are cute too, they’ve grown on me, surprisingly. Ha!

New OC Time! These two OC's are for my story, "Dream"!
Meet Quinton Wheeler and Kiran Hart!
One is a hopelessly brilliant cognitive psychologist with some rather mutated features, the other is a world-class hacker who would rather broadcast herself to taunt the enemy than hide in the shadows!
As agents of The Reversed, it is their goal to take down the tyrannical Order that seeks to destroy the last means of resistance against their “utopian” society. Will the appearance of their lost “asset” be the boon they need to turn the tide of an over-100 year long strife? Both aren’t sure, but highly intrigued.
