Today's workout was some conditioning sprints. My workout started off with a 10 min walk Then 8 sprints up hill Ended with another 10 min walk to cool down I ended up using a 20lb weighted vest for some extra resistance but you can do body weight only. Trainer tip: If you are a beginner whether its weight training or conditioning, start off by moving just your bodyweight, ( you can still get a kickass workout). In my opinion if you can't even move your bodyweight effectively, you shouldn't be using any type of resistance weights. Monday's workout was on the @kagedmuscleteam website " Train at Home" by Michael Wittig in which is a 4 week program to help you get in your best shape from home. This program claims to be very intense much like @kagedmusclesupps founder @krisgethin . Week 1 day 1 workout was upper body . Pushups superset with cable flyes 3 sets of 15 reps . Renegade row superset with high cable row 3 sets of 15 reps . Lateral raises superset with upright rows 3 sets of 15 reps . Giant set of chair dips, bicep curls, tricep extensions 4 sets of 15 reps . 15 min of steady state cardio (brisk walk for me) This wasn't a bad workout for day 1 , im more impressed that I had different options that I could use my resistance bands that I've never thought of before. I think I'll give this a whirl for the next four weeks and track my progress. Today I did a little cardio, took the bike out to explore a new trail in the area. I saw some new sites , got in a great workout. I love riding my mountain bike on the different terrains. Bike riding is a great workout obviously for your legs but did you know that it also works your lower abs too? Or maybe your arms in a sense? If you have the chance get out and explore, just be safe about it. Also if you are stuck at home and looking for some home workout ideas, you can go to bodybuilding.com and download their fitness app called bodyfit. Today's workout took it to the streets for a bit to get a little walk in. My workout consisted of . 3 to 5 min jump rope warm up ( trainer tip if you don't have a jump rope or can't jump rope like me 😂😂, you can do jumping jacks) . 4 sets of 10 reps on pushups superset with jump squats . 4 sets of 10 reps on mountain climbers . 4 sets of 10 reps on hip thrust (trainer tip squeeze your glutes at the top for maximum contractions) . 4 sets of 10 reps on air squats . 4 sets of 20 reps banded upright rows (trainer tip if you dont have bands use can goods, jugs of something anything that will add resistance) . 3 sets of 10 crunches (trainer tip exhale at the top of the crunch, inhale coming down) . 3 sets of reverse crunches Just a little something to keep active during quarntine. Here's another HIIT Workout coming at ya. Give this workout a try if you want to try something different, doesn't require any workout equipment just a commitment to be your best and can be done by anyone at home,.gym, park, wherever. The workout started off with as follows (rest periods 45 to 70 seconds between each exercise As a circuit : 25 air squats 15 jumping jacks 5 walk up planks (start on your forearms and walk up into a plank position) Do this circuit 3 times!!! Second exercise : Steps ups 10 reps on each leg using either a step stool, stairs or bench (repeat 3 times) Third exercise: 3 sets of 5 burpee Fourth exercise (not pictured) : Squat/punch combo ( do a squat then punch right/cross boxer combo) repeat 10 times Fifth exercise (not pictured) Squat/forward kick combo 5 reps each leg (repeat 5 times) These workouts will definitely get the heart pumping, and blood flowing. It's a great cardio/strength workout. Just because we're under quarantine, doesn't mean that we still can't be active.
