“Antibodies (Do You Have The)” is a pop punk song released independently on July 29, 2020, with lyrics and performance by TV talent Nicholas Joseph Braun (Succession, Good Kids).

The song’s conception was documented on Braun’s Instagram story as a half-joking collection of lyrics performed in an exaggerated manner, poking lighthearted fun at both the common phrases and worries of the then-novel Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the genre of pop punk. The snippets went briefly viral on social media platforms like TikTok, where Braun’s fans would perform a cover of what would become today’s “Antibodies” in their own style. Braun took inspiration from the fans’ enthusiasm and put the whole song together. The song itself tells the story of a person seeking a physiologically safe relationship or hookup during the uncertainty of a global pandemic.

Braun’s previous music credits include the informational pop single “SPF” (Nina Dobrev, 2012).

The music video for “Antibodies” was filmed near Braun’s home in LA with some help from a friend and a budget of zero dollars. The video is controversial in its inability to be perceived as either completely satirical or completely serious.

All money from streaming, since the song’s release on YouTube and across all music platforms, goes to Partners in Health and Community Outreach & Patient Empowerment (COPE), which were and are particularly relevant foundations amidst the ongoing pandemic.
