Realizing that Breaking Bad memes and fanart portraying Walter and Jesse's relationship as friendly/familial can add greatly to the viewing experience if they're all the viewer knows about the show beforehand. You go in expecting Walter to be a good-hearted, down-on-his-luck middle aged dad who's formed a fatherly bond with Jesse, just like the characters in the show. In this way, the viewer is caught in the same slow-burn situation as Jesse, Skyler and everyone else, believing Walter to be a decent man based on your past experiences with him, and slowly realizing that none of it was real and he is, in reality, an absolute monster.
The viewer, just like Jesse, struggles to conclude that the relationship between the two is abusive and manipulative because of the fun, quirky experiences you remember the two sharing, and don't want to believe that that is no longer the case and maybe never was.
The viewer, just like Skyler, struggles to see Walter for the abominable person he eventually becomes because they and her both are still filled with memories of him being a loving, fatherly man.
The modern experience of watching Breaking Bad, ie. already being somewhat familiar with the characters from fanart and memes but being unaware of the inaccuracy of their portrayals, actually added quite a bit to my viewing experience, and I believe it likely improves those of others, too.
