My friends and I read Ali Hazelwood’s Bride weeks and weeks ago and were supposed to get together to talk about it but one after the other each weekend brought with it a different bodily ailment that had us canceling book club: first an eye infection, then another member getting a bad cold, then me needing my wisdom teeth yanked and the healing process taking forever. It’s like god is trying to stop us from talking about knotting
