Katy Wix is the queen of "being in Ghosts, the original series of Horrible Histories, and/or Ted Lasso, and who has also been on Taskmaster", a very revered title (to me...)

Hey I don't know who needs to hear this but PLEASE watch Inside No. 9 if you're a fan of horror, genre fiction, anthology series or just good filmmaking in general.
It's a British anthology show which radically alters the format between episodes, so each one feels more like a short film. Most episodes have some kind of plot twist and fit solidly in the mystery genre, but beyond that the show experiments a lot. It has episodes that go for horror, comedy, drama. One episode is entirely a sequel to a semi-obscure series made by the showrunners a few years earlier (Psychoville). There's an episode that is written entirely in iambic pentameter. A "live show" designed to recreate the experience of Ghostwatch with staged technical difficulties and sudden supernatural happenings.
It's honestly hard to overstate my love for the show. Some episodes can drag but it's rare to find two in a row that don't grab your attention. There are currently 8 seasons (though they're very short, the whole series totals are 49 episodes at time of writing)
If I can convince even ONE more person to watch this show I'll be happy, so please consider it. And if you have seen the show, what do you think?? What's your favorite episode??

Have you seen this childhood show: Angelina Ballerina (2001-2006), United Kingdom (English)

Commentary/Context/Memories: No user commentary
[Mod A: Loved this show and the books which were written Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig. This show always reminded me of Chrysanthemum and Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purs because they similar vibes; I totally thought they were created by the same people but these were actually written by Kevin Henkes! Anyways this show was about Angelina Mouseling, who loves ballet and attends ballet classes with her friends Alice Nimbletoes and William Longtail. Angelina dreams of becoming a famous prima ballerina, which is encouraged by her teacher/mentor Miss Lilly; I can’t believe I only just learnt that Dame Judi Dench voiced Miss Lily! I vividly remember the episode where she lost her penny (or this may have only been a book? I don’t know if all the book plots got adapted for the show, so they get mixed up in my head haha). Overall, I love the atmosphere of this show, and it may have been a key influence for me taking ballet lessons with my friend when I was six haha]

Monty Python as Teachers
Tumblr media
(this came to me in a dream...)
John Cleese- The science teacher who takes experiments far too seriously. A menace when on lunch duty.
Eric Idle- The music teacher who doesn't teach but instead uses the lesson as a rest period for his students. Is definitely a father figure for a majority of the pupils.
Terry Jones- The history teacher who adores his subject and intentionally skips the boring parts. Directs the school play every year.
Michael Palin- The geography teacher that loves books and makes sure everyone is involved in his lessons. The heartthrob of the faculty.
Graham Chapman- The maths teacher who seems to be really boring until he says something really unhinged. Students will protect him at all costs.
Terry Gilliam- The art teacher that has a ✨𝓥𝓲𝓼𝓲𝓸𝓷✨. Is the reason nobody is taking graphics GCSE.
