i didn't really think about it much as a kid but being that older big sister of the neighborhood kids really shaped me as a person when i can see past the veneer of early depression symptoms and nostalgia
#those little kids were annoying sometimes but who isnt#i'd still pick them up when they ask or play hide and seek tag with them#and give them cups of juice when they were thirsty#bro koolaid was a thing that we regularly made bc we'd drink through it or share our freezypops#i wont say i didnt fight with them bc on god those neighborhood boys were evil in my eyes if you pick fights with the little girls#i think about my neighborhood friend we were bffs#he was older than me and i would get teased bc ooo you gotta boyfriend or wahtever but i got so frustrated when we got older#bc he would be complicit or stand by when the younger boys were picking fights and bullying others#im like BOY you are older and they look up to you get your act together#eventually i stopped wanting to go outside and play bc a mixture of depression and tired of little kid antics like that#mikh talks#i'll probably delete this later i'm just typing and reminiscing#im only gendering this with afab terms bc i dont think i could describe the experience beyond like Eldest Daughter Trauma
