Mami's Breakthrough!
Chapter 1
Part 2
This is the continuation of Chapter 1, part 1. Like I said Chapter 1 might have to split into different parts.
Word Count: 534 out of 2663
The referee declared Nathan the winner and the crowd erupted in cheers. After the matches were done “The Nightmare Demolisher” Eliora “Evie” King was next. She was the main event. The announcer starts talking. “This match is scheduled for one fall is for the Golden Belt of Darkness. Introducing the champion weighing in at 5’11”, 268 lbs from Valleraugue, France she is the owner, the commentator, the queen, the caretaker, “The Nightmare Demolisher” Eliora “Evie” King, and her opponent weighing in at 5’5”, 264 lbs from Montalieu-Vercieu, France “Bayonet” Caitlin Suzuki.” We watched the match and when Eliora almost got pinned my heart stopped for a minute. I guess you could say that I was falling in love with a woman that I didn’t even know. Is it stupid? Yes. Do I give a fuck? No.
After the match was over and Gretchen aka Eliora retained the championship I got a text from Stephanie letting me that everyone was getting ready and that they’d meet us at the bar. I responded with an ok and I tapped Liv’s shoulder. She looked at me and I said “That was Stephanie. Everyone has to finish getting dressed and they’ll meet us at the bar so we should get going.” She nodded and tapped Naomi’s shoulder and told her what I said. We all left and headed straight to the bar. When we arrived, we all found our seats and started chatting. Everyone was in high spirits and the conversation was lively. I was having a great time with my friends. I was sipping my drink when Gretchen walked in and she said “Julio, mon ami, mon frère, mon tout, nous fait une série de clichés puis amène les favoris. Merci beaucoup, Julio.” The waiter named Julio responds in French and goes to get their stuff. I’m sitting with Judgment Day and Damian and Finn are still fighting.
I eventually had enough and I said “I’m out. I can’t keep doing this with you two. Go find a new replacement for me because I’m out of Judgment Day. I’m done.” I tell Liv that I’m going outside for a minute. She nods and I step into the cool crisp breeze of the night. I sit on the curb and I hear shoes and I look up at Gretchen. She said “I’m sorry. I just figured you would like some company or someone to listen to you. I can leave if you want.” She starts walking away and I say “Stay. Please.” She says “Ok.” She sat next to me and I started telling her my real name, and what I was dealing with and she listened. She was my breakthrough that I didn’t know I needed. She then said something completely out of the blue “If you want to you can come stay the night in my room to get away from them. You don’t have to though.” I told her that I would love to.

Antoine Gerbelle.
On retrouve aussi Le Fleurie La Brirette 2019 et 2020 chez James Suckling :
93/100
"Brirette 2020 : The nose of this Fleurie is like a whole handful of the ripest raspberries! Then comes a
daring slug of tannin on the firmly structured and concentrated, medium-bodied palate. A long finish
in which fruit sweetness and tannic dryness are beautifully matched. Many years ahead of it!
Drinkable now, but best from 2025."
Stuart Pigott, James Suckling
94/100
""Brirette 2019 : A very sophisticated Beaujolais with concentration,
structure and elegance that’s just beginning to open up. Fine red cherry fruit with delicate notes of
spice and licorice. The long, plush and subtle finish pulls you back for more and with each sip you
discover new nuances. Drink or hold.""

I’m loving this summer. The garden is flourishing, and it’s been great to sit outside and sip on something during the cooler days and sunsets. As much as I love wine, it’s hard for me to open a big tannic red to enjoy. I prefer something chilled like a Rose, or some of the lighter whites and red varieties.
My last article touched on the virtues of Gamay, a grape variety that many have never had the pleasure to explore. Well since I’m always about assisting you, I purchased a Gamay from France to see if this is something that you should explore. This week at the ArtofthePair.com, check out my tasting notes and food pairing suggestions for this wine.
This is one that you want to read to learn more about wonderful options for summer fare.
