I wanna see the guild and the ADA try to communicate. I wanna see Fitzgerald talk abour his evil plans and how hes doing it for his family, whike Atsushi is frantically trying to type his words into google translate, so he can understand Fitzgerald

Okay so we all have this idea that abilities are born from trauma or desire, right? They're incredibly powerful emotions and manifestation in the form of a skill, a weapon. In dead apple it's also briefly mentioned that the dragon is born from the abilities. In other words, that destructive mindless dragon was born from those emotions.

This leads me to think that these abilities must have some sort of physical and mental effect on the skill users. The mental effect is evident throughout the story, especially from Atsushi's pov but physical effect too. A lingering tiredness, like invisible weights on your shoulders.

So what must Dazai's touch feel like to these people? No Longer Human doesn't only nullifies the ability, it temporarily takes it away from the user, along with the exhaustion.

It must feel amazing, alleviating to come in contact with it for skill users.

Now imagine hugging Dazai. Imagine ADA having a hug Dazai day.

Hugging Dazai feels like every ounce of tension leaving your bones. It's nice, it's stress relieving. It's so soothing you could fall asleep in his arms (Kenji does every time and Atsushi starts dozing off in ten seconds). Even Ranpo loves hug Dazai day. Kunikida always lingers on for an extra minute when he gets to hug Dazai. Yosano thinks they should have hug Dazai day every day.

Imagine being Chuuya who gets to hug Dazai to sleep every night. He'll never admit it but he LOVES being the little spoon. Falling asleep in Dazai's arms feels therapeutic. He always wakes up the next morning feeling like he could conquer the world.

I've also read somewhere on twitter that asgr came up with nlh as an ability that ruins everything for Dazai and I just want to think that sometimes when he accidentally nullifies someone's ability and tries to apologize for it, the person immediately goes no that was wonderful tf do it again.

So yeah basically everyone loves Dazai and his ability.

the ada starts making dazai text kenji everytime he does sm good or productive during his depressive eps bc they figure some of the positivity has to rub off on him eventually (it does)

I'm almost 100% sure this is how the agency will stop Fukuchi getting One Order

Aya seemed to recognise the flash of One Order. Why? One Order was made during the war and never used, so there’s no way she’s seen it before. But there is one blinding flash that she would have seen, and that she could never forget

AND GUESS WHO IS RIGHT THERE ON THE BATTLE FIELD!

I think Kunikida swapped out One Order for a fake containing a flash bang, Tanizaki is also there and could have used light snow to make them invisible while Fukuzawa distracted Fukuchi. And Fukuchi couldn't stop this by cutting the past, since he would have no way to know where they were at any given moment

But how could they have done it? They are on deaths door, well as Kunikida says here...

I thought it was weird that Yosano hasn’t shown up in the airport so far, she is way to central to the ADA to be left out of what seems to be building to the final conflict, this would be a great way to bring her in and call back to Kunikida saving Aya. The ADA is strongest together, and the biggest mistake Fukuchi (someone who does not have a great track record with subordinates) makes is forgetting that.

I thought for ages that Ranpo’s plan with Poes book was incredibly dumb, it was way to straight forward and he had shown Fukuchi what the books could do beforehand. But if it was just to make Fukuchi think he had thwarted him and let his guard down then it makes perfect sense!

I also think that Fukuzawa trying to convince Fukuchi to kill him and spare the others was not part of the plan, he feels responsible for everything that happened to the agency, and feels like Fukuchi only targeted them to get revenge on him.

So I still think there is a good chance of him potentially dying

Overall I'm really confident about the flashbang thing, since otherwise Aya's line makes no sense. but the rest also fits very well! They could use Annes room to escape afterward and Fukuchi would have no way to follow them, Ranpo is not stupid enough to leave room for error in such an important moment.

the ada goes to a diner dazai and chuuya used to frequent and dazai, without telling why, insists that they sit at their old booth. he has no idea that chuuya does the same with a few from the pm

HC that Lucy starts to teach Atsushi and the rest of the ADA American slang and memes as a joke, but then it just starts to get out of hand. Atsushi tries to “it is what it is” out of every major life situation. Yosano mutters “slay queen” while looking at murder cases. Kenji unintentionally hits Kunikida with an “ok boomer.” Dazai learns the phrase, “fuck it, we ball,” and gets 10x worse in his shenanigans.

We talk a lot about that time Akutagawa kidnapped Atsushi and the ada was more or less unwilling to go rescue him, but I've only now realized that Atsushi was kidnapped by the guild and stayed in captivity for an entire week and we aren't given any suggestion that the ada even considered attempting to free him at some point.

After Dazai is back in the ADA, he moves in with Atsushi and Kyouka for some time to heal his injuries.

They become really close with each other during that time. Watching movies together, going to amusement parks where Kyouka dries their wallets eating ice-cream and crepes, having hot pot, Oden and Chasuke almost every day to soothe their souls.

Dazai gets better immediately but he still pretends to be sick because he likes this little family they have made and he had never truly been a part of something like this before. A relationship where he doesn't have to worry about making plans and schemes. He can just relax with the kids and forget he has any problems or issues for some time.

Atsushi and Kyouka find Dazai eccentric with his bad dad jokes and some surprisingly good advice; he has a big personality but that balances their introversion and makes them more open. His presence is comforting to them.

In the end none of them ever speak about Dazai moving out and they just go on with their dangerous lives, knowing they can go back in the night to a place called home.

Dazai: do you guys ever think about dying?

Kyouka: sometimes

Atsushi: can we not talk about that at 2 AM when we are trying to sleep?

Dazai: I was just wondering how it will be like after death

Kyouka: I think death is better than torture

Dazai: do you remember the Port Mafia torture method where they half kill you to make you face death and then make you beg for your lives?

Kyouka: the one with the barrels? I think hanging upside down is much worse...

Atsushi: can we stop fucking talking about THIS and go to SLEEP????

Dazai, gasping: how can you swear in front of Kyouka-chan! That gives her bad manners!

Atsushi: YEAH, you two can talk about fucking dying and torture, but I can't swear? You've gotta be shitting me.

Kyouka: yeah, Atsushi swears a lot when he is mad. He learnt that in the orphanage

times are peaceful around yokohama but the ada and pm aren't exactly on truce. they're technically obligated to continue fighting over territory and control over yokohama even if neither side wants to.

akutagawa is about to break the ada communal coffee machine on mori's orders. chuuya grabs him by the collar (for 0.002 seconds. or maybe somewhere else idk it's not important) and whispers that if that damn coffee machine breaks, the ada will fight back 1000x harder.

"how do you know?"

"the coffee is damn good."

(dazai's made him coffee in the morning after a night of fighting . . . over how messy his dorm is. chuuya knows how attached everyone is to the coffee machine and wants akutagawa back whole.)
