TRIPLE BINGO because they are EVERYTHING. to me.

It’s funny. This is the one duo where I almost do just want to post the bingo and leave it at that. Part of me wants to tell people about this ship SO bad, to give novel-length explanations and justifications and theses. But the other part of me is like you know what. You either Get It or you don’t.

Anyways there are 10000 things to say about Them but one is: I specifically did not fill in “gay af to have a sworn rival” even though it cost me another bingo because one of the most fascinating things about the interactions between these two is that they actually do not have a mutually adversarial relationship--even though that’s what writers usually do with two characters on diametrically opposite ends of the socioeconomic spectrum. 

I’ve been thinking about this a bit because I’ve seen people say things like, “It’s great what a funny duo they turned into when they started out hating each other, haha.” And I get why one would think like this but IMO it’s actually not the case! Charles acts more familiar with Max over time because he does that with everyone--

(Though he’s racist towards Max throughout, of course. Because Charles’ racism never goes away. You know that right. MASH fandom I am putting my hands on your shoulders and asking: You know that, right? I keep seeing people talk about Charles having a character arc and a redemption arc so I’m just. I’m just making sure.)

--but Max has actually been pretty nice to him right from the start, back when Charles’ relationship with basically every character was antagonistic. As soon as s6e13 he tells Charles how similar they are, how they should work together to try and get away from the war, how they’re “soulmates”. Even after Charles insults him, he straight up says, “I’m on your side, Major”, which I’m pretty sure remains one of the nicest things someone canonically says to Charles, ever. Just one scene, but emblematic of a greater whole, of quite a few future scenes where Max gamely engages with Charles even when it puts him in unpleasant situations.

And of course, the motivation the show usually gives, on those occasions when it thinks about Maxwell’s motivations at all, is a simple throwaway “Well Charles is paying him / giving him some other material benefit, so obviously Klinger will be his kicked dog! You all know how Middle Eastern people are! We are a groundbreakingly progressive show btw.”

But man. Fuck that shit. This is far afield of my original point but the thing is, Max’s interactions with Charles are often the most egregious exempla of every way the later seasons fucked over my girl here. It almost seems useless to try to analyze any of Max’s actions after a certain point from a Watsonian perspective, when the Doylist reading of the show being too racist and stupid to do anything coherent with him is the ultimate explanation, and sometimes the only explanation you can even come up with, because shit just makes NO fucking sense in-universe. 

But unfortunately I’m a stupid cringe ass fanfic writer/reader, and I love this character, and Max already gets so little screentime compared to the main protagonists, and I don’t want to just ignore him because of the decisions of writers who didn’t care about him.

(That’s the entire reason I started shipping this stupid thing in the first place, btw. I just wanted to read some fanfic where Max is the main character and idk if you’ve noticed but if it weren’t for AO3 user stateofintegrity and their ~problematic cringe ship~, the pickings would be pretty fucking slim.)

So I like to pretend there’s a better reason for Maxwell going from “Major Burns I hate you so fucking much I am going to kill us both with this fucking grenade” to the equivalent of a tumblr blog responding to pathetic anon hate with “are we about to have sex”. After all, if you’re going to write Maxwell yourself, get inside his head and all, then you also have to account for why he tolerates all the OTHER characters’ racism towards him in later seasons, too. 

And the messy problematic reasoning I come up with is that Max is at heart the kindest and also most emotionally intelligent character on the show, and even the liberalized version of the 1950s our story is set in is a systemically bigoted universe that is all he’s ever known and experienced, and he’s certain these are good people, really, when it matters. And being emotionally intelligent, and generally intelligent too for that fucking matter, and observant and insightful, he can tell there’s a big difference between Frank and Charles, and perhaps less of a difference, even, between Charles and Hawkeye. Maybe when you watch things from Hawkeye’s POV, the ideological and moral differences between him and Charles are huge, but maybe if you were in Max’s POV instead there wouldn’t be quite as much of a distinction between them. I don’t know! I don’t know. Just some ideas, I don’t know. 

Of course getting into fucking. internalized racism and such is pretty uncomfy and exhausting shit. And that’s not even touching all the gender stuff my girl has going on. You start to see why nobody wants to get into this character’s head much. But I do :3 And I do honestly think sometimes the most effective way to do that is to look at the Messiest Ship In All Of MASH (TM). As I’ve talked about before from the Charles angle, I love this ship precisely because of its Problems, because they’re problems that exist anyways for both characters, and having the two of them interact makes the problems impossible to ignore, so they maybe finally get to be dealt with. I mean, I just don’t think the optimal resolution to Charles and Max’s racism-laden interactions is that Charles goes back home to a big opulent house and Max struggles to save up to buy a used car in After M*A*S*H. That is not super satisfying. to me. 

This post got derailed to hell but I think what I was trying to say is that Max treats Charles SO much better than that bastard man deserves and I would at least like to see something come of it, for the love of--

this is a really great book if you want to get a glimpse into some korean history and how japanese occupation/wwii affected korean people, specifically the korean people living in japan at the time. it’s such a relevant topic but apparently pachinko is the only fictional book published in the west about japan’s occupation of korea ?? bruh... it’s also just overall an amazing drama with relatable amazingly written characters !! (esp if you’re asian, ESP if you’re an immigrant😭)

a/n: I don’t really write that often soooo...

“I don't get why characters in horror movies are this dumb,” I whispered to Felix as we were watching this horror movie that we randomly found on Netflix. I heard him chuckle softly at my statement.

“That just adds to the thrill and interest, I guess,” he replied. He kissed my temple before pulling me closer to him.

My phone suddenly rang on the first half of the movie. I quickly went to see who it was and my heartbeat immediately picked up its pace after seeing the caller ID being “My love💖”.

Okay, now we're starting...

I am turning into a such a nervous wreck right now. My hands are starting to shake and my heart is starting to beat so loud that I could basically hear it in my ears. I stood up, looking at Felix silently excusing myself. I walked a little towards our room's window -which is not too far from where he is- before picking up the call.

"Hello? Sorry, I'm with him right now. I'll call you later," I ‘said’ quietly to the 'person on the other line' before ‘hanging up’. I looked up at Felix to see his reaction and saw that he's looking at me so seriously I felt my knees buckle. I tried to smile at him but failed nonetheless.

“Who was that?” he asked. I opened my mouth to answer him but nothing came out as my throat went dry. He raised his eyebrows at me. I lowered my head.

Okay, here we go.

"I-," I tried to speak but I just couldn't find the words. I sighed before looking back up at him. "It's no one," I told him, still trying to calm myself. He then rolled his eyes at me.

“If you're going to fucking fool me like this, then do better. I'm not stupid, Y/N. I clearly saw the caller ID,” he replied harshly. “And "I'm with him"? Really Y/n? If you're going to do this to me, give a little respect at least.” he added and my legs shook at his tone.

“Then why'd you still ask if you knew already?” I talked back quietly, too weakly for my own liking. He snickered.

“Because I wanted you to explain yourself at least,” he said and I swallowed hard.

“What's there to explain, though. You've already seen it, it's all that there is,” I told him and he scoffed.

“You could've at least told me where I went wrong... where everything went wrong? Y/n, you can't do this and expect me to not ask you for any explanation, I'm not as stupid as you think I am," he paused a little before continuing, "On what aspect of this fucking relationship was I lacking, huh? Are you getting too bored with me that's why you did this? Am I not enough for you anymore that's why you decided to find another one? Am I not loving you enough for you do this to me huh, Y/n? I thought we were having something special? I thought you said I was and will always be the one for you? What happened, baby? When did everything change? When did things go wrong between us? What did they do to get you sway that easily?” he questioned, his voice shaking from hurt. I sighed, every word was like a stab in my chest. He looked at me, his eyes searching mine for some explanation… any reaction. When they didn't give him anything, he spoke once again.

“When did this start?” he asked. My breath hitched. 

Well now, it’s working. 

It took me a while to answer but I did when I saw that he was getting impatient. “Just today,” I answered, stifling my laugh. He looked at me confusedly and I looked back at him trying to hide my smile.

“What do you mean ‘just today’?” he asked again.

I can't take this anymore...

“It's a prank, you dumbo!” I told him as he sat there, his confusion clouding him even more. I sat back down beside him as I tried to hug him but I was shocked when he moved away from me. “Why?” I asked. He stared at me with such hatred now and I couldn't help but feel nervous once again with the look he's giving me.

“What do you mean ‘Why?’ Y/n?” he asked. “You talk as if I didn't just caught you cheating on me,” he said. I gasped.

“Baby, I told you, it was a prank,” I replied with hurt in my voice. He looked at me, still not trusting my words. “I'm serious, Lix. It's just a prank. Do you not trust me enough? Go on and check if you want. I could never do something like that to you, you know that,” I told him with shaking eyes as I handed him my phone. He gave me daggers while he took my phone in his hand. When he finally held my phone, I felt my hand start to shake a little harder as I retreat it back and I think he noticed it with the way he glared at me.

“If you're being honest then what are you so nervous for?” he asked me skeptically. My eyes shot up at him, looking at him with wide eyes.

“H-huh, who said something about being nervous, h-hah-ah. Pffft I'm not nervous, shut up,” I told him. He glared at me once again before going back to checking my phone. I saw him swipe from left to right, probably looking for something that would prove my innocence.

It took him a few minutes -because he practically opened every single app in it just to be sure- before finally getting to the last page where he saw the widget labeled "To the man I love the most.💖" that I had prepared for him. I looked at his face just to check his reaction and then I saw him looking at it confusedly. He stared at it for a solid five seconds while his thumb was hovering over it.

The widget looked like it was excitedly shaking from my point of view, just waiting to be finally pressed and when the thumb above finally clicked on it, that's when all hell broke loose.

My mind had gone crazy by the time he started reading it. Tons of thoughts clouding my head and spilling continuously out of it like a water inside a broken dam, just like how every feeling I had has been spilling on Felix at the moment...

The widget leads to my notes app wherein a letter is written in a pink background. A color I know he really loves.

“To my baby,

Hello, my love! It's weird talking to you like this because I wasn't really fond of letters and all these sweet things but for you, I'm alright being cheesy and all that. First of all, I'm so sorry if I ever hurt you in the process of this thing... whatever this is... whatever it is that I did before you finally get to read this poorly written letter of mine which contains everything that I wanted to say to you but couldn't because I'm too shy hngg *insert cute face right here*. Anyways, I hope that you finally believe me that what happened before this was all a prank (the proof is literally beside this widget which is the Fake Call app, so don't fuck with me). Felix Lee, aka my sunshine, my happiness, my everything... I wanted to thank you for being the best man ever for me. Thank you for making me happy everyday, for taking care of me and or loving me every single moment that you have. You are seriously the best guy I have ever met (next to Harry Styles, of course... kidding) and I love you for that. I love your freckles as well because it feels like I am looking at a sky full of stars and you're the sun wtf does that makes sense though? There are many things that I would like to say to you but I don't know how so... Anyways, what I'm trying to say here is that, you are so amazing that I don't know how to put your amazingness into words and that I appreciate everything that you are. By the time he was finished reading my shitass letter, he was shedding tears with a smile on his face. Weird combination, I know. But it is so unfairly unfair how he still looks beautiful looking like this.

He stared up at me with tears still flowing out of his eyes as I slowly took the ring off from my own finger.

“I don't know what else to say to you, to be honest. I am so bad with words and you know that. I love you, though. I could go on telling you this everyday just to show you how much but I'm afraid I'd have to go on forever so will you finally answer my question and marry me? I promise I'd try and learn how to cook so you won't have to anymore… oh and I will try not to complain as much when you leave too much mess in the house,” I tried to joke just to lighten up the mood but I was confused when he started bawling out. I felt my eyes burn from tears as well and I let a few escape from them. "Why are you crying, stupid?" I asked wiping his tears off. He glared at me before pulling me into a hug and crying loudly on my shoulders. “Baby, stop crying, please. I don't know what's happening but I'm going to bawl out as well if you continue,” I told him. He sniffled before pulling away slightly.

"You... you bitch, I hate you so much for doing this to me," he said in between hiccups. "I hate you so much," he told me before bawling and hugging me again. I laugh at his cuteness even though I felt my hands shake once again. His possible answer finally clouding my mind.

I rubbed his back before kissing his neck lightly. "So are you gonna answer my question or what?" I asked him, getting a little impatient now because of nervousness. He pulled away from me.

"I hate you so much. I was supposed to be the one doing this and not you. I hate you," he said despite his eyes showing the exact opposite and still crying them out. "But just because we're here already, I have no choice but to say yes, I guess? Because I'd probably feel so bad if I rejected your goodass offer," He joked. I glared at him. "Kidding. I'd say yes anytime, you know that. I'd say yes a billion... trillion times," he told me and I smiled before putting the ring on his finger. He smiled so wide seeing the piece of jewelry on his finger before taking my face on his hand and kissing me hard.

"I love you so much, y/n," he told me after pulling away. I closed my eyes, feeling the moment. I leaned my face more to his touch.

"I love you more, baby. More than you could even imagine," I replied.

"Your prank is shit by the way," he stated after a while in silence as I hit him on the chest.

“Shut up, I still got you with my acting skills and you don't know how nervous I am while doing that thing when I didn’t have a solid plan,” I told him and he scoffed.

"Sucks for you then," he replied.

"Yeah? Well, sucks for you I'm not sucking you."

David: *woke up and noticed that the rain is still pelting down on the tent, which he found really cozy* *eventually he noticed that Matteo was also waking up and then they have made out and cuddled for a while* *when Matteo sat up to drink something, he reached for his phone to check his messages* *sees that the Team-Holidays-chat has been active for an hour*

Carlos: Good Morning, Guys! Is there someone already awake and made coffee?

Abdi: I'm still lying on the couch. Everything's quiet down here.

Carlos: Ey, Brudi, go make some coffee – it's not that far for you...

Sam: Good morning. I think no one’s in the bathroom!

David: *grins slightly and pulls Matteo back toward him as he’s finished drinking* *presses a kiss to his temple and says* Breakfast is ready and we’re being missed… *holds his phone out to him so that he knows what he’s talking about* *still wraps both his arms around him again and grumbles pleasantly* I’m afraid my stomach wants us to go have breakfast… but my laziness-level has been infected by you and wants to stay here…

Matteo: *puts the lid back on the bottle and puts it to the side* *cuddles closer to David again and grumbles a little* But breakfast sounds good… *briefly looks at his phone and sees the holiday-chat, but doesn’t read what exactly they’ve texted* *hums in agreement* How likely is it that we’ll manage to make someone bring us breakfast to the tent? *but immediately shakes his head* Zero, I know… alright… *moves, but quickly kisses David again, and then sits up* Come on, let’s go have breakfast… *grabs a t-shirt from his bag and puts it on* *puts on his pants while still sitting down and then looks at David* Come on… food…

David: *laughs quietly at Matteo’s question and shakes his head* *simultaneously with Matteo says* Very unlikely… *halfheartedly tires to stop Matteo from sitting up, but then lets go of him with a grumble and sits up as well* *opens the tent and looks outside* Hmmm… it’s only drizzling now… we should manage to make it to the cabin more or less dry… *also reaches for his bag and takes out a clean binder* *then realizes that he doesn’t have any clean shirts left and decides to keep his sleep shirt on, because he’s only been wearing it since last night* Hey, we really have to wash some shirts today… let’s already take them to the cabin and if it stops raining later, we’ll hang them up outside. *puts the binder on and his shirt back over it* *grabs clean pants and puts them on as well* *then laughs quietly* And we should also put our shoes somewhere so that they’ll hopefully dry… *reaches for his slippers and collects a few dirty shirts which are lying around* *presses a quick kiss to Matteo’s lips before he crawls to the opening of the tent*

Matteo: *nods slightly* Yep, we do… *simply grabs his bag where only dirty shirts are left, anyways* *takes the shirts from David and stuffs them in the bag, as well* *also grabs his slippers and crawls outside* *then collects the clothes on the grass and also adds them to the bag* *has his bag in one hand and his shoes in the other* *they stomp over to the cabin like that* *can already see Carlos wildly waving his arms about when they get closer: “Budiiiis, so good to see you!"* *laughs* It wasn’t that bad… morning, everyone… *puts down the bag and the shoes and then wants to sit down* *but then notices that the only two remaining seats aren’t next to each other* *stops and wonders if he should say something or if that’s stupid when he hears Jonas laughing: “I told you, his look is gonna be awesome”* *then hears Abdi: “And you were right”* *sees Abdi get up and sit down somewhere else so that there are two empty chairs next to each other* *gives them David’s secretary’s-office-look* Haha… *but quickly sits down*

David: *at first looks a little surprised when Amira says Matteo’s name and automatically wraps his arm a little tighter around him, but then loosens his grip again when he hears her explanation* *takes another sip of coffee and then sees the bottle pointing at Mia* *sees her look at everyone, as well, and hears her answer: “Well, since my boyfriend has already admitted that he sucks at handiwork, I’d pick Hanna and David. They are both good at planning, can think logically and can both work hard."* *grins and sees Hanna high-five Mia and then sees her hold her hand out for him to high-five* *gives her a high-five and then does an air high-five with Mia, as she’s too far away* *hears Carlos: “And if you could have chosen three people?" and Mia, while she’s already spinning the bottle: “But I was only allowed to pick two."* *sees the bottle pointing at Jonas and hears him demand truth, as well* *sees Mia think for a moment and then hears her ask: “If you had the power to change one thing in the system, what would it be?"*

actually rank all remakes + og if u want i’m curious

at the beginning i just want to say this is very subjective, cause i ranked them based on how i was feeling while watching and not which is the most superior one and has the least messy storylines 🤩 or whatever, so if you wanna come scream at me in my inbox spare your time cause i ain't reading those essays okay? (btw this isn't directed to you ali, i know you're super cool, it's for the other people reading)

now that all has been said, let's gooo:

1) skam nl; who would have thought, right? pretty much everyone, cause i just answered your ask about which one is my favorite remake lmao the explanation is there

2) wtfock; i enjoyed watching it so much,, i had no idea i would ever like a william or a noorhelm and yet here i am, loving both. season one was really good, jana was a strong main, good for her. i literally spend the whole season not shipping nor liking her and jens together, wishing for them to break up and yet, when they were finally doing it i cried lmaoo wtf. season three was kinda messy but idc, a still liked it a lot

3) skam españa; all of the characters got insane (in a good way ofc) character developments and the changes made were great. skam españa didn't come here to play, that's for sure. i watched it all very recently (i literally finished season 3 like three hours ago lmao), but i liked it A LOT. every season was just great, and the girl squad is the best compared to all the other remakes. it really got me genuinely invested in what's going to happen, especially in s3 since they changed up basically everything

4) druck; i had a hard time connecting to the characters at first, but when i managed watching it was just great. i adored hanna as main, mia's season was really enjoyable to watch (especially because of the changes in her character that were made) and i really love matteo as a character so it just all adds up yk. amira's season i haven't watched yet, but i'm planning to do so soon (maybe next week if everything goes as i want it to go)

5) skam og; shame to admit, but except for season 3 i don't remember shit from the og. i watched it only once three years ago and haven't touched s1, 2 or 4 since then. it's fifth in here, cause it's the blueprint and evak season is superior and always will be + i would probably feel bad if it was lower in this ranking lmao. i plan on rewatching the whole thing this year, but have no idea when exactly tbh

6) skam italia; i like the characters a lot, but except for season 4 they didn't change anything (except of the pacing in season 3 and making edoardo actually likeable). i liked it a lot, but compared to other remakes i just don't feel it deserves to be higher yk

Huge Spoilers down

- The movie’s aesthetics and visuals are so beautiful and the animation IMPROVED you get to see our characters making so many expressions and movement (but that’s not a surprise lol dragons 3 did it but Frozen 2 slayed through) I can’t wait for this movie to release digitally every scene are insane (kristoff pedicure tho!)

- A lot of Iduna x Agnarr stuff and answers and I’m v satisfied (actually basically every of my wishes have been granted in this movie)

- I could catch what looked like references to old fanarts 👀

- regarding the previous teasers and knowing that Olaf would have more screen time made afraid he’d annoy me the f- but he was actually funny!! Love him!

- Lt mattias is totally adorable and sometimes a dork!! I wanted to see the anna/mattias dynamic and THEY THREW IT ON THE TABLE

- The interaction between Elsa and Bruni was so adorable. (I though this lizard was going to annoy me but nope) It was so cute seeing Elsa discovering she isn’t the only one with powers (and bruni makes a cute subtle parallel with elsa’s uncontrollable power tho!)

- The Hans mentions are hilarious! Especially the one Santino Fontana was talking about (another explosion of Hans, gif makers we waiting for you to make the parallel with the one in bh6). I wanted to see a true flashback though with actual brand new animation of him and not a white version of his scenes from the first movie. I am sorry to tell the hansdom there are no explanations of his motivations at all (through I think theres nothing to explain, he irredeemable monster and that’s on periodt) there are just some « insulting » mentions

- Elsa goes from snow queen™ to snow goddess™ 💁🏼‍♀️ .

- What to say about Kristoff’s 80’s music video clip omg.. sksksk

- Also, every Kristanna interactions are CUTE. There are a total of 2 Kristanna kisses if you don’t count the brand freshly reanimated flashback kiss from litw

- I thought Kristoff suffered from the calhoun and felix in rbti syndrome til: 1) Anna apologized 2) Kristoff already had an amazing character development in the first movie, all was left was to show him being a dork for Anna and support her when she needs and for that, merci! And 3) He actually the driver (btw there is no sled crash and that’s deceiving)

- I forgot to say that Anna has her periods in this movie

- I never expected they’d show us Elsa being COLD, and actually FREEZING TO DEATH just LIKE ANNA with her hair turning white and stuff (this scene gave me GOOSEBUMPS)

- btw I think Elsa is not immortal since she died. After that she just fixed Arendelle with her magic but it didn’t made her powers evolving at all (through it does evolve since she was born)

- The next right thing was so emotional and strong! Anna was left all alone with the heartbreak of Elsa and Olaf’s death and she managed to STAND UP and save the forest. I call it quality character development.

- Honeymaren totally crushes on Elsa, she’s the one who told Elsa to stay in the forest (their dialogues were cute, we are waiting for the 3rd movie about their love story)

- THAT ICE BROS HUG add it to the collection of rare interactions between Kristoff and Elsa

- Actually, THE VERY FROHANA HUG AT THE ENDING OMG (I want an oil painting!!)

- Anna as Queen, I mean QUEEN ANNA!! We want a sequel!! (Say what you want, think what you think, Frozen II has the best ending for the sisters and their character development, through it kinda means it’s the last movie of the saga) and don’t worry you guys Elsa and Anna are still communicating and Elsa still comes to the castle time to time.

- The moral of the story is so basic but told in a such EPIC way. It was so relatable and got me right in the feels. I don’t want to say it beats the first movie (bc this one is so epic too) but it 1000% match it! We have one of the best wdas movie if not best of all time and the best wda sequel

Chapter 5 : Her chapter 

Olivia

It was a weird dream that woke me up but as soon as my eyes opened, I forgot about it. I blinked a few times, trying to wake myself up completely, but I could still feel how tired I was and I knew that as soon as i'd move, a thumping headache would make my day even worse.

Niall was close to me, his face only a few inches from mine, and he was still asleep. I tried to breathe in and out slowly from my nose to be sure I wouldn't literally poison him with my bad beer breath. The aftertaste was still invading my buds but I tried not to think about it as my eyes roamed on Niall's face. The memories from the past night came back to my mind and I tried to remember every single detail and emotion that took me over but the only thing that seemed to echo in my head was how I literally told my best friend I loved him and always have.

Slowly, I brought my hand to his cheek and let my fingertips brush against his skin, allowing the feelings I had for him to flood me, almost drowning me, as I stared at him.

"I was talking about you, idiot."

My voice was so low I could barely hear myself and my own words made my heart jump hard in my chest. I don't remember ever telling anyone outloud that I loved Niall. Most of the time, I pushed the feelings deep down my stomach and covered it with other kind of emotions. It was true, I couldn't deal with how I felt and I didn't want to. I knew that if I allowed myself to fully love him and hope for him, I would never heal from him. I was convinced the best way to remain happy was to ignore how i feel for him and focus on something else but once in a while, very very rarely, I let the feelings invade me.

He was pretty and it was even more obvious from up close. My fingers moved down to his chin and I let my thumb brush on his bottom lip. Sometimes, I really wanted to kiss him and this was one of those times. We had kissed once at a party when we were younger, but playing 'spin the bottle' was not really the experience I wanted and If I was honest, it only made everything worse for me.

He snored lightly and it made me jump and smile as I took my hand away but kept on staring at him. It was still dark in the room, even if the sun was slightly peeking through the curtain, but I could see his traits perfectly.

"It was always you and it will always be you."

Once again, I had whispered so low I was not even sure of what I had said but it made him wiggle gently. He let a groan escape his lips and finally sighed. I knew he was awake now and I tried to calm my heartbeats, scared that he may have heard what I said. I loved him. I loved my best friend, and it was not platonic. It was completely romantic and so deep that it felt like it was a part of me. A part that would never die, no matter how hard I would try to kill it.

He opened his eyes and they met mine, making me hold my breath. I could feel myself build my wall again, bringing torpor and numbness back as I hid my deepest and most intense feelings on the other side, away from anyone's sight, even mine.

"Hey you." he let out before clearing his throat. "Slept well?"

I sent him a smile but just nodded. I was not ready to talk just yet, scared that my voice would break.

"Migraine? Nausea? A feeling of emptiness?"

I chuckled and raised my nose up in a grimace, bringing my hand over my mouth.

"A little bit of all of this."

He let out a low laugh, still staring at me.

"And a bad breath, i'm guessing." he joked, glancing at my hand.

"Perhaps."

He looked at me with an amused grin for a while and finally sat up, grabbing my hand and moving it away from my face.

"You should take a shower. You reek." he pointed out, making me roll my eyes. "And brush your teeth, will you? I'll wait for you downstairs with coffee. Just coffee."

With a loud sigh, I nodded again and got off the bed, not really remembering how I got into Niall's clothes, but I decided not to ask.

"I'm gonna need clean clothes, can I borrow some of yours?"

I had barely finished my sentence when he threw new sweatpants and a navy blue shirt. It made my lips curl and I grabbed them, walking around the bed and closer to him.

"Thank you!"

I grabbed his face with one hand, squeezing it and twisting his lips. He didn't push me away but let out an annoyed groan when I grossly kissed his cheek. He moved his head to get out of my grip and it made me laugh.

"Shower! You stink!"

With a louder laugh, I walked past him and locked myself in the bathroom adjacent to his bedroom. I took my clothes off and started the water mechanically, my mind still trying to retrieve the events of the night before, but it's only when I turned the water off that I remembered Harry being very close to me, close enough to kiss me.

The memory brought warmth to my cheeks and a stupid grin on my lips. Yes, i loved Niall and I always will, but it didn't mean I couldn't have feelings for anyone else, and I couldn't lie and pretend I didn't feel something for Harry. But Harry was not just anyone, and I was well aware of that. Not only was he my best friend's bandmate and close mate, but he was also one of the most conveited boy in the world and that could be annoying. I pushed that thought away and got out of the shower, quickly drying myself. I dressed back into Niall's clothes and rushed downstairs only to find him sitting at the table with a cup of coffee. I quickly grabbed a mug and poured myself one too before joining him, sitting in front of him.

"Why are you smiling so big?" he asked with a frown, an amused smile gracing his lips.

"Last night, Harry and I almost, kissed, didn't we?"

I bit my bottom lip still staring at him and noticed his smile fall down as soon as I mentioned his friend's name. I was not sure if I was hallucinating but it really seemed like Niall didn't want me to get close to Harry. I grabbed my cup again and took an other sip of coffee as I tried to make sense of the events of the night before until it suddenly hit me.

"You.. you're the one who stopped it."

Niall's gaze dropped to his own mug and seemed incredibly interested in it as I talked. I could read the guilt all over his face yet I also felt an aura of annoyance around him and it made me frown again. I felt suddenly hurt and slightly betrayed. My lips parted as I stared at him, waiting for his eyes to meet mine but he kept staring down at his mug, turning it around with both hands in a nervous manner.

"You were totally shit-faced, Liv." He simply expressed, as if it was an obvious reason. He talked slowly, trying to make me feel like I was being irrational but it didn't work this time.

"Why did you do that, Niall?" I asked in a breath, gripping the side of the table as anger was filling my insides. "Why won't you let me have a fucking glimpse of happiness?" I kept going, getting angrier by the second. "You think I don't deserve it? To be happy?"

I watched as his lips became smaller and I could sense him becoming furious too but I didn't care. He owed me an explanation and I was going to get it. After everything he had said to me about Harry and I in the past few days, I felt unworthy. It was the very first time in my entire life that Niall made me feel like shit.

"That's it? I don't deserve happiness?" I repeated, waiting a few seconds before to add. "Answer me!"

The palm of his hand hit the table and I jumped, surprised by his unlikely behavior. My lips parted and I stared at him until he inhaled deeply, still avoiding my eyes.

"He doesn't deserve you! Okay?" he explained a bit too loud, finally looking up and diving his gaze in mine. "He doesn't deserve you and he's gonna play you and he's gonna hurt you! He doesn't deserve someone like you!"

Although not the reason I expected, I quickly let out the air I had kept in my lungs. My eyes filled with tears and there was nothing I could do about it. I was crying, tears falling down my cheeks and slipping on my neck, tickling my skin as I tried to swallow the lumps in my throat. I didn't even try to wipe them, I just allowed them to fall, knowing it wouldn't change anything.

"Well, that was not your call to make, Niall." I let out in a calm tone after a minute of silence. "It wasn't your decision to take. And you have no right to decide who deserves to be with who."

I got up slowly, hearing my chair make a screeching noise and turned around to go back to his room. I got up the stairs slowly but confidently and when I reached the top, I heard his chair too.

"Liv, please, wait." he just let out with a sigh, following me upstairs.

I ignored him, my eyes roaming around to find my clothes as I took his off and grabbed the dirty ones that I wore to the bar. I noticed him stare for a few seconds at me before shaking his head and looking away. He finally shook his hand and turned back to me again, taking a few steps closer.

"Liv, come on." he pressed, reaching for my wrist as I tried to take my shirt off. "I'm sorry, okay? I really am."

I closed my eyes and breathed in, trying to focus on my heartbeats to bring them back to a normal speed. I was hurt and sad and I felt betrayed, but in the end, Niall was my best friend, and even if he did it the wrong way, he was trying to spare me pain and I couldn't stay mad at him for that. Slowly, I turned to him and my eyes met his, making my heart jump in my chest. He felt guilty, I could read it all over his face, and I ended up sighing again and shaking my head.

"I want you to stop getting between Harry and I." I pointed out. "I want you to let me live what I have to live with him. You made it clear what you thought, now let me handle it from here."

His eyes roamed on my face and I felt my skin burn from his intense gaze. There was nothing I hated more than Niall and I fighting. It hadn't happened a lot in the many years we were friends but it seemed to be recurrent in the past days. When it came to Harry and I, Niall had a hard time to mind his own business and I still didn't understand why.

"Okay."

It seemed like it took him a lot of effort to let out this simple word but he kept holding my wrist gently as we stared at each other. I had failed in trying to get my heart beating to a normal pace but I just blinked a few times as I looked at him.

"I'm serious, Niall." I insisted, trying to keep my voice calm and collected. "Promise me."

I felt his grip tighten slightly and he shut his eyes tight before opening them again.

"I promise."

His words made my heart lighter and It seemed like a heavy load had been taken off my shoulders. I let out the air I didn't even know I was holding and let him pull me closer by my wrist, wrapping his arms around my neck and holding me close to him. Both his arms were locked tightly around me and I felt secure and safe the way only he could make me feel. I closed my eyes, still pressed against him, and let my arms slide around his waist and gripping his shirt in his back.

"I'm sorry again." he whispered close to my ear, his breath brushing against my cheek. "I mean it. I really am."

I was glad he didn't try to justify himself. I always knew that Niall's apologies were genuine and real. He wouldn't say it if he didn't mean it and that in itself was relieving. He pulled away after a few minutes and looked down in my eyes, raising his eyebrows. I swallowed the lump in my throat as he kept his hands on my shoulders.

"Why don't you invite him over tonight?" he proposed, making me suddenly nervous. "We could drink, have a chat and I could show you that I respect my promises."

I tilted my head and licked my lips, feeling nervous suddenly at the thought of Harry and Niall on the same room. They were close, like brothers, so it wouldn't be the first time, but I still feared what could happen and I was not sure I was ready for it. I probably looked hesitant because he moved his face closer to mine.

"I just want you to be happy." he admitted in a low but soft tone. "You do deserve it, you deserve happiness more than anyone I know."

I felt my heart skip a beat and my lips curled into a fond smile. That was the Niall I knew, one that I hadn't seen much in the past few days.

"Okay, I'll text him."

When the doorbell rang, I rushed to the door, meeting Harry's soft and smiling face. I immediately mirrored his grin and took a step back to let him in, moving my arm to invite him. I closed the door and when I turned around, he was facing me and staring at me.

"Are you sure you want to stay in tonight?"

I sent him a bigger smile, touched by how caring he was, and finally nodded. I wanted to show Niall I forgave him but also let him show me he was really sorry.

"I mean, it's going to be fun, i made jello shots and we can watch movies and talk." I explained just as Niall walked in the living room with beers.

"And she doesn't even like jello."

Harry chuckled and shrugged as he took a beer from Niall's hands, opening it quickly.

"Well, except for the cherry flavored one."

I glanced at Niall who was frowned but my eyes quickly found Harry's again. He was smirking and once again, I noticed the dimples in his cheeks pop up. He took a sip from his beer keeping his eyes on me and that stupid mischevious smile on his lips and I could swear I felt my whole face burn at the memory invading my head.

"I'm hungry." I pointed out drunkenly, turning to Harry in-between two intense moments of laughter. "What's in the fridge?"

Almost jumping off the couch, Harry rushed to the fridge as I started laughing again. I had no idea where Niall and the others went but the tour bus was empty except for us two and we had decided getting drunk was the only interesting thing to do. I had opened up to him a lot, probably because of how much alcohol was running in my body, and I didn't even mind. For some reason I couldn't understand, I wanted to be close to him. Not just physically but mostly mentally.

"Okay I got this!" he yelled, letting himself fall next to me and bringing the bowl closer to my face.

I immediately grimaced and moved my head back. It actually smelled good but I was never a fan of jello. It tasted to artificial to me and I honestly didn't see the point. The texture was not my favorite either.

"Jello? Yuk."

His eyebrows raised and his lips parted, making me burst into laughter again. The only thing I remember thinking is how cute he was.

"You can not not like cherry jello, Liv." he noted. "I'm pretty sure it's against the law."

i raised my nose again and chuckled.

"Yea no, that's not against the law, or i'd be in jail."

"But it's delicious!"

To prove his point, he took a piece with his hand and pushed it in his mouth as I watched.

"Itch debichious!" he tried to mumble, his mouth full, making me laugh even more. "Come on, try it. For me?" he asked with puppy eyes after swallowing.

I groaned low and finally shrugged, giving in. In fact, I felt the need to agree with him if only to watch his smile again. Disappointing him was something I couldn't bear and although I knew it was probably because I was intoxicated, I couldn't help but think it was also a bit because of the feelings I was developing for him. And they were growing fast.

"Okay, why not?"

His lips curled more and he suddenly seemed excited. My eyes followed his hand as he grabbed an other piece and brought it to my mouth. It wobbled between his fingers and I opened my lips slightly as he pushed the bouncy piece in my mouth. I stopped laughing immediately when his thumb brushed on my bottom lip, making a shiver cross my back. It lingered there and I could swear he could hear my heart beating against my rib cage. His palm pressed against my jaw and my eyes dropped to his lips. I could swear he was going to kiss me. When he moved closer, I almost forgot I had jello in my mouth and choked on it, coughing as I tried to swallow what was left in my mouth. All I could think about was that the moment was over and I would remember this as the time I didn't kiss Harry Styles.

"Yea, the cherry one isn't so bad, but it really reminds me of how good I am at ruining moments."

Harry's smile turned into a fond one as I walked past him to go sit on the couch, moving my feet up to bring them close to me and taking a long sip of my beer. Harry joined me and I wiggled a bit on the couch to face him as Niall came back with the shots, placing them on the coffee table.

"What's the story about?"

I inhaled and shrugged as if it was no big deal and glanced at Harry again.

"It was one night you were probably out with the others boys?" I guessed. "I can't remember."

"No no, we were in Australia," Harry corrected me. "You had left with that girl you were shagging, what's her name again?"

My smile fell down immediately and I realized that was probably why I had erased that information from my brain. It was not like Niall was the type of guy to sleep around but being aware of his sexual encounters really bugged me. I tried to be a good friend but at the same time, the feelings I had for him also seemed to surface at some point, even if I tried to bury them as deeply as possible. It was worse when it came to girls he'd see regularly.

"Okay, how about these shots now?" I expressed a little louder than intended, not giving Niall time to answer.

I extended my whole body to reach a red shot and tried to ignore the two boys who were staring at me. I couldn't see, but I could feel their eyes burning me. I pressed the plastic cup a bit and threw my head back. I felt the gelatin fall on my tongue and I chewed it quickly. It tasted like cherry vodka, which is what I had used to make them, and I grimaced slightly.

"Okay, truth or dare?"

My eyes found Harry and my heart tried to escape from my chest as I realized the game we were about to play. I held my breathe for as long as I could but Harry raised his eyebrows at me to incite me to pick.

"Uhm, truth."

"How many people did you have sex with?"

I looked at him slightly surprised and tilted my head. I was a bit surprised he'd get into the sex questions so soon in the game but I decided to play along.

"You know, Styles, you should never ask a question that you wouldn't be able to answer yourself." My answer made him laugh and my lips curled more. "Seven."

It was his time to be surprised and I chuckled. I thought he'd explain why my number seemed so shocking but it's Niall who actually made a comment.

"Seven? Wait, how come do I only know three of them?"

I turned to him and grabbed an other shot, once again quickly chewing on it before licking my lips. These jello shots were better than I thought they'd be and I grabbed two more, handing them to the boys sitting close to me. I didn't want to be the only one to get drunk and it seemed like they weren't really thirsty.

"Mm, I don't know, Nee. Maybe because you never asked." I explained, moving my eyes to meet his and sending him a smile.

The truth was probably that I didn't want him to know. I regretted most of these sexcapades and I tried to forget most of them, just like I tried to erase his sex stories from my brain.

"Okay, my turn." I let out, once again not giving time to Niall to ask me the questions burning his lips. "Truth or dare?"

Just a big + strong lady. No superpowers, she's just fucking jacked. Carries Batman over one shoulder fireman-style when he's knocked unconscious.

But she's not the stereotypical strong woman. She doesn't grunt and she's not portrayed as unintelligent, none of that "gentle giant" trope. She's just like a big strong gay lady who probably thinks Batwoman is a goddess and wears Wonder Woman t-shirts to bed.

You thought Jason Todd had the thickest thighs in Gotham? Well watch out, there's a new contender on the block.

She works with Robin (Damian) one time and he's being stubborn, so she just lifts him above her head like she's playing keep-away and wades through a sea of thugs with him squirming in her arms

Everyone assumes she's pretty young, but she's actually slightly older than Bruce Wayne, and occasionally she drops these deep-cut references to pre-Zero Year Gotham and Batman just frowns as he tries to puzzle out who tf she is

Her patrol route in Gotham primarily encompasses The Narrows, because she has a knack for being able to help the seemingly helpless, and she has a deeper understanding of poverty than the bats ever could

In her day-to-day life, when she isn't doing superhero stuff, she's an activist of some kind. She probably runs one of Gotham's most well-established NGOs, and she's probably been invited to speak at the United Nations at least once. (Wonder Woman was there and she got so excited she cried.)

This means she keeps up with Gotham's current events and has an intense knowledge of the city's socio-political landscape.

She reads every news publication in Gotham: all the usual suspects, plus the Gotham University paper, every Vice-style indie news outlet, even the gossip rags.

But she also trawls social media. She knows every bit of drama that's going down at Gotham Academy, and knows that there are four different tenants in the same apartment building in Lower Gotham all complaining about the same strange odour coming from the 5th floor that sounds a lot like Scarecrow's doing.

Her guilty pleasure is that she has notifications turned on for the accounts of every Wayne family member, and she keeps up with them like they're the Kardashians.

... Even though she's definitely protested outside of Wayne Tower a time or two in her day.

When she finds out Batman is Bruce Wayne, she leverages it to make Gotham a better place. She'll just burst into his office like:

"Mr Wayne, I think it would be very beneficial to the community for you to invest in this black-owned start-up business."

"Mr Wayne, don't you think it would be worthwhile for you to support this Native American organisation, given how much of their land your ancestors took from them?"

She's a ruthless intersectional feminist and she's the leftism to Batman's liberalism

OC: "Bruce, one of Gotham's oldest gay bars is closing down, I think you should buy it."

Bruce: "The optics on that are... complicated."

OC: "Not really, Dick Grayson was photographed there last week."

I like the idea of her being a mental health practitioner of some kind (idk what the proper terms for MH workers are in the US, I'd have to look into it), but I think she should be focused on community service and trauma-informed care. She probably also cares about recovery-oriented MH a lot and would work well with people experiencing addiction, and people experiencing poverty who don't have the money for clinical mental health care (psychologists, psychiatrists, etc).

She's also definitely lobbying for Arkham Asylum to be renamed and restructured (seriously, who still calls them asylums? It's 2019)

Appearance-wise she's jacked and has a tonne of someone-did-this-in-a-kitchen-at-a-party-with-a-sewing-needle-taped-to-the-end-of-a-pencil tattoos that are faded and patchy. It makes people think she's been to prison, and when people ask she never gives an answer one way or another. As a result of said tattoos, she's always dressed in long sleeves and long pants (turtlenecks or button-downs, the occasional blouse), and her superhero suit covers her entire body. It's similar to something like Red Hood's suit, because she values armour and protection over speed, but she still wants a level of manoeuvrability.

I think at some point she figured out Superman was Clark Kent, so in her day-to-day life she wears glasses even though she doesn't need them, she just thinks it's really funny and always chuckles in the mirror when she puts them on.

She probably has really drab, long brown hair (going grey) that she wears in a bun 24/7, and she rolls her sleeves up when things get intense. She's either wearing a button-down (when she's at work) or a checkered flannel shirt (when she's not at work) almost all the time, and watching her carefully and neatly fold up her sleeves around her elbows is the most nerve-wracking thing in the world. It's even been known to make Bruce Wayne flinch on occasion.

Things she said in front of Bruce Wayne once she found out he was Batman:

I think she's a bit of a conspiracy theorist, which means her and Red Robin should never be allowed in the same room alone. She's got a vibe similar to The Question in that way, but she's not a full-on, push-pins-and-strings-covering-the-whole-room conspiracy theorist. She's just a bit of a tin foil hatter. Disturbingly, Batman, Nightwing, etc. can't find any evidence to refute a lot of her theories, and their stories together often end in an eerie, open-ended conclusion that implies she could be right about everything.

I like to think she uses old phrases and Gotham-isms that people routinely forget are a thing. E.g. "What in the name of Riddler's left testicle?" (A reference to that time during the Zero Year when Riddler turned his camera on too early and broadcasted his entire scrotum to every citizen of Gotham.) Otherwise, she mostly speaks like Jack McCoy from the early days of the original Law & Order. E.g. "You really screwed the pooch on this one, Batman!" and other obscure North American idioms that haven't been used in 30 years.

I either picture her family-less, or like that part in season 2 of NCIS: LA where Agent Hanna just casually drops that he has two kids and a wife, btw, and up until that point you've been convinced he was single and a workaholic.

Honestly the more I think about it, the more I think this might just be an AU for Susie Su where her character is actually fleshed-out and not just fatphobic and two-dimensional

Even though he always thought you were cute he never had the nerve to talk to you, despite how often Ned encouraged it. It wasn’t until you got assigned as partners during a school project that you got forced together by fate. It’s nearly impossible to tell which one of you is more nervous.

After the first day it was always like talking to an old friend. You two just clicked. It quickly went from shy small talk to the two of you finishing each other’s sentences. You easily bounce off of each other’s energy. Sadly for others around you, said bouncing results in the both of you getting progressively louder.

He throws himself into everything you love even if he doesn’t quite get it. Art, music, writing. If he knows you like something he’ll spend time trying to learn it. He’s confused but he’s got the spirit. Several times he’s turned up the volume to a song and said “this is queen, right?” It’s almost never queen.

You find out he’s Spider-Man almost instantly but you keep it to yourself, sometimes even helping him with his bad lies. You a million times smarter and quicker than him when it comes to that. He never told you how much he appreciated that help and patience with him during this time, but he really does.

Every outfit you pick is gorgeous and it’s the first thing out of his mouth every time you see him. Even before you were dating it slipped a time or two. He just really loves your style and is almost envious about how well put together you always manage to look.

You’re the first person he goes to when he wants to rant about what happened, good or bad. And he’s always so animated about you. It’s like he can’t sit still for too long at a time. He’s free to be emotional and feel things. You also rant about your day, good or bad, but your days rarely seem to be as exciting as his. Something he’s secretly grateful for. You give him that balance between being a suprhero and just being Peter.

The both of you were standing at the top of a roof, he thought you brought him here for the view but you knew better. You crossed your arms over your chest as you stared up at him, you waited on an answer expectedly. You were dead set on him taking you out on his webs. You had wanted it for a while but had expected that he would eventually ask you— and well he hadn’t. So you wanted that fixed. It surprised you to see that he was against it, and maybe if he had a explanation you’d back down but he had nothing and you both knew it.

“Because it’s dangerous. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve done it, there’s a risk every time! I’m not risking you.” Peter held his own, but he was vividly less composed. His arms moved to his emotions as they emphasized his point. “What if I drop you? How can I live with that?” He paced back and forth. It was clear to you he was getting worked up over nothing.

“Pete,” you finally stop him from pacing as you grab his arm. “How many people have you dropped before?” You already knew the answer as you say it. He told you everything that happened to him, from the best to the worst case scnearios. You would have known if this happened.

“Well—“

“There’s nothing to well over! You’re the strongest person I know, you’re careful, dedicated. You wouldn’t drop me— you couldn’t drop me!” There was no hint of doubt in your mind. You stopped caring about flying up there anymore. This wasn’t about you. Peter doubting himself got you worked up and you were too stubborn and headstrong to just let him keep thinking like that. “I trust you.”

He looked down and swallowed hard. It was difficult for him to look you in the eyes. He was scared. But the more you spoke the more he realized you were right— you were always right. This shouldn’t be news to him that you managed to outthink him again. “Fine,” he sighed, “I don’t know how you always do it.”

“What do you mean?”

“How you always manage to be right, or how you see the best in me.” Peter’s smile was so soft and inviting that you felt yourself mirror it instantly. “Come on, it you want to do it so bad then let’s get it over with. The first jump is always the worst.” When you’re hesitant to leap into his arms that soft smile turns into a smirk. “Oh? So now you’re the one with cold feet?”

Him challenging you brings out your inner competitiveness. “No, I just wanted a head start.” Your eyes dart to the edge of the roof. He gives you a warning look before you move towards the edge quickly.

“Wait! That’s not fair!” He moved towards you in an instant. But your leap of faith had already started by the time he caught up, his arms going around you as he shot out his web. “And to think, I thought you were such a sweet girl.”

“You didn’t drop me, did you?”

Robin Buckley

You’re the reason she got into band in the first place. You were childhood best friends and when you got into the piano she wanted to join in. She couldn’t place it back because she didn’t know the meaning of it, but she had a crush on you since day 1.

In high school she get convinced you have a crush on Steve Harrington and gets jealous. You think it’s because she knows he’s a bad influence but the truth is that she’s just liked you for so long and is tired of watching you fall in love with other people.

She’s the only person you can truly be yourself with. Most of the school thought you were shy and quite but she always got to see the fun side of you. The two of you are the biggest dorks when you’re around each other. You’re the more out there one, something nobody expected, and you’re the one to take the lead on all of your expeditions.

It’s during one of her tirads about you and Harrington that you finally say “Robin I don’t like Steve Harrington! I love you!” And the is so stunned and suddenly loses all of her sarcastic and know-it-all behavior. She’s a loss for words, and just when you think your friendship is ruined she kisses you.

You visit her everyday at work, always pretending to be surprised to see her. She thinks it’s adorable and never bothers to correct you, but you better believe that every time you show up Steve calls back to Robin to tell her you’re here to make sure she’s the one who gets to talk to you. You become part of the mall squad and get to investigate with her.

You have the same music taste and often play queen when you’re hanging out together, even if you’re just playing it in the background. Every time they release a new song the two of you spend hours memorizing it. You’re the one who told her the music store was hiring.

“Robin, your groupie is here!”

Robin’s head instantly perked up from behind the window as she stared deep into the food court to try and find you. “Do I look okay?” This is the only time that Steve gets to see that side of her as she quickly shifts from boredom to excitement.

Steve rolls his eyes as she walks up front and quickly shooos him away. “Go— work or clean or something.” Even if you had shot down any mentions of having liked Steve Harrington that never stopped her from trying to make sure you never got the chance to start. As soon as he got into the back you showed up at the counter, grinning widely.

“Robin! Oh my god this is such a surprise! What are you doing here?” You ask, playing dumb as you get in front of her. You’re so over the top, dramatic, and downright adorable. Robin is forced to play along and let you have your way. She’s hopeless to your charm.

She leans onto the counter with one of her elbows and moves her face closer to yours. “They hired me to keep one of the other guys in the back. Apparently he keeps creeping on all the cute girls who show up.” Robin glances to the kitchen then back to you. “So in other words, I’m here to protect you.”

You can’t help but laugh. “Oh is that so,” she looks around the ice cream shop, “I don’t see any creeps?” Your head tilts sweetly to the side as you tease your girlfriend.

“Well that’s only cause I’m doing my job—“

“Turn it up!” You jolt up as you suddenly pick up on a faint sound that fills the air. It’s the first chords to a Queen song that just came out this year. Blurred Vision. It’s quickly became one of your favorites and you’ve been obsessed with it for weeks now.

Robin is a little shocked at your sudden change in tone but within a few seconds she relaxes as crosses her arms over her chest. She decides to mess with you instead. “Turn.... what up?” She smiles at you sweetly as she plays dumb. You aren’t having it as you start to whine. The song is only so long and it’s your girlfriend is wasting precious time.

“The radio, Robin, please!” You plead with her. She falters soon and sighs with a smile as she walks over to the radio. You’re already tapping your foot to the melody of the song as she finally turns up the sound. Your dancing intensifies until you finally get the chance to sing along, the words starting.

“One flesh, one bone, one true religion!” You sing, it’s a little off key since you’re bouncing and full of excitement but within a moment Robin starts to join you, “One voice, one hope, one real decision!” The both of you are undeniably dorky, and maybe even a little cringey, but you’re having fun and in the moment that’s all that matters.

Hey Anon! Thanks! Yes, I’m on mid 2011 Macbook Pro, idk. It’s not that great actually. The reflections are lame, sim shadows and rugs are glitchy, so.. Can’t be bothered since I rarely play the game, but rather just make hood decos for it. Once in a while I just enjoy creating test sims and mess around with them for awhile.

Привет @thesaimitigh​! Вообще без проблем! План сделать набор наклонных кусочков к релизу я так и не осилил, поскольку в идеале нужны и тротуары, и однополосные кусочки. Если повезет, то когда-нибудь получится сделать их в качестве дополнения! Правда как скоро это будет – не известно. То что ты видел на совсем старых скринах – скорее куски дороги, адаптированной к террайну в рамках проекта городка “Тайм” и они совершенно бесполезны за пределами своего изначального предназначения (проверено на личном опыте). 

@thesaimitigh​ is asking if I have any plans to release sloped pieces for the Rural Charm roads like the ones that appear on some of my old screenshots. I’m replying that I’ve failed to create sloped pieces for the main Rural Charm release due to huge amount of work it requires though it still hope to release them as an add-on at some point in the future. What he saw in the old screenshots was some large decorative road pieces from Thyme project and they are useless beyond its purpose.

The secret is in decorative roads! I just place all the roads by hand as I see it. When I just move the lot I want to be situated on the non grid looking road to it’s new place with Lot Adjuster.

Hey there! No, I didn’t found the solution yet, but thank you for this information! I think it could be the result of road replacement or any other neirghborhood terrain manipulation. I’m sure once you edit the terrain or place a lot near this area, the road will reset to it’s normal Maxis’ floating height. What I really want to do is to change something in the game to make roads appear closer to the terrain at the very basic level. I mean, no post neighborhood creation edits, no manipulations, just the road that lies on the ground from the very beginning.

OOooh I hope you have lots of fun!!!! You should definitely treat yourself and let’s hope this is a rare case in which the movie/play is better than the book/script! Who’s your favourite Doctor Who companion? And your favourite Doctor? Lol I can never choose- I love too many. Enjoy New York and please tell us how you found the play!

Thank you!!! Yes, the play was definitely better than the script. I still didn’t like the plot, but I warmed up to many of the characters. I’ll write up a post with more specifics though :)

In terms of Doctor Who…..I’m sure you’d agree this is an impossible question, but I’ll try and answer anyway lol. Also, I’m not well-versed in the old series, I’ve only ever watched the first Doctor’s seasons, so this will just pertain to the reboot.

This is a really long response ahead btw (because I can never just answer things simply), so I’ll add a read more link. Also, mild spoilers for DW, I guess?

That being said, my favorite companion would have to be….Donna. I loved her growth as a character, I loved her humor, her friendship with the Doctor. She came at a time when 10 needed someone to pull him out of his wallowing and remind him how beautiful and exciting and good the universe could be. For someone so brash and blunt, she had such a gentle heart. I think her character was a reminder to everyone that no matter how “average” and “normal” you may think you are, you can have such a huge impact on people (or the entire universe 😉) by just being a good human being.

Her ending was the most tragic for me because she lost all the growth she’d achieved by travelling with the Doctor. It was so sad seeing her interact with him in that last scene, never knowing what she could be capable of 💔

After Donna, it would have to be Rose (I won’t go into lengthy explanation here, but yeah I love her), then Martha and Rory, then Amy and Bill (Bill might move up after I watch her series a couple more times), and then Clara. Not that I don’t like Clara, I just don’t like what they did to her character. I think she had huge potential, and Jenna Coleman is an absolute delight, but I wasn’t a fan of the Impossible Girl stuff or even her ending really.

When it comes to the Doctor…this is really, really hard for me to choose lol. And every time I rewatch the series, my opinion changes. The first time I watched, 10 was my favorite. He was fun, energetic, full of wonder and hope (and incredibly attractive of course 😉😉😉). He was the most human of the Doctors which attracted him to a lot of people, I think, especially newcomers to the series.

But I think as I grew older, I found him to be almost too naive and too emotional. Too young, even. I’ve always loved the Doctor for his wisdom (among many other reasons), and I don’t think 10 is very wise. Now, I still love him, and I think these traits were necessary for the Doctor’s development. But this realization took him out of my number 1 spot.

That now has to go to 12. Specifically in series 9 and 10. One of my all time favorite DW moments is 12’s speech in “The Zygon Inversion”. It brought me to tears the first time I watched it. Obviously Peter Capaldi is an incredible actor. But I don’t think any other Doctor could have genuinely delivered a speech like that at their individual points in development, no matter how great their acting.

I adored series 10. I think 12 and Bill were a great pair, and I loved Nardole with them as well (which definitely came as a surprise lol)

But that’s not to say that I don’t love 9 and 11. Because I do. God, I love them. Series 1 will always be one of my favorites. What Chris Eccleston did in one series is remarkable. And he’s the reason I fell in love with DW. And of course, how could anyone not adore 11? After we all thought we would never recover from 10’s regeneration, 11 won us all over within his very first episode. He had HUGE shoes to fill, and he did so effortlessly.

My opinions are always changing as I said before. Different periods of my life make me relate to different companions and Doctors. But at the end of the day, I love them all. And I am sooooo beyond excited for series 11!!!

Sorry it’s taken a while to get this out, and I apologise that not much really happens in it, but I will write at least one more part to wind it up!

I will add in a more romantic twist to it next time!

The Joker led you into a what looked to be a whiskey room-like lounge, offering you a large wing backed chair with a lazy flick of his hand. You sat down without a word, your eyes never leaving the criminal, swivelling in your seat to follow him as he walked behind your chair, heading to a dark wood table that held a crystal decanter of amber liquid.

The Joker poured two glasses, and you quickly snapped back around when he turned to head back to the chairs arranged around the fireplace – you didn’t exactly want to be caught spying on him.

He handed you one of the glasses and you faltered for a moment in confusion - the offer an oddly kind gesture – but when his eyes glanced down at your hesitation you bit the bullet and shakily accepted it.

The Joker then moved past you, taking a seat in the identical chair to the right of you. You rested the glass lightly on your lap, wary of the contents and making no move to drink it.

“Don’t tell me Frosty doesn’t let you drink?” The Joker drawled, watching you from the depths of his chair. You could feel your limbs shaking simply from being alone with the man, let alone sitting this close to him, and your grasp tightened on your drink.

It wasn’t true that Frost didn’t let you drink - your dad had never tried to stop you from touching the stuff - but you knew enough about your mother to have heard about her drinking habits, even having vague memories of her drunken fumbling movements from the days you were in her care as a baby.

That was why you rarely drank. You didn’t want to become her.

“Doesn’t he let you talk either?” The Joker ribbed with a raised brow at your silence.

“No.” You croaked, glancing down at the glass in your hands, embarrassed at your pathetic voice.

“Oh, no, no.” The Joker crooned, leaning forward in his chair, “Don’t you hide those pretty little eyes of yours, my dear…” You tensed at his words, still not daring to look up at him, a hot flush on your cheeks.

Suddenly, cold fingers snatched at your chin, digging painfully into you and forcing your head up roughly.

Despite this, you defiantly kept your eyes looking down.

The fingers tightened on your chin, and you winced. “Look at me!” J growled darkly, the noise seeming to reverberate through his chest and into yours, making you cringe away. You didn’t hesitate this time, immediately snapping your eyes up to his, finding the icy blue orbs much closer than you had expected.

“That’s better.” He murmured, his eyes now flickering over you face, taking in every detail, his steel grasp still on your chin, distorting your face slightly and stopping you from making any attempt to turn away.

He suddenly released your face, leaning back in his chair again, whilst you remained frozen in fear on the edge of your seat, still leant slightly forward from where the Joker had pulled you.

Out of the corner of your eye, you could see J take a lazy sip from his glass, regarding you with cool eyes. “Relax, kitten.” He purred, “Have a drink.” He nodded to the glass still in your lap which had been knocked dangerously when he had lunged at you, but, out of sheer luck, none of the liquid had spilt.

‘Relax’ he had said, yeah, like you could possible do that when the man across from you was a live gun ready to go off at any moment – he had just proven that to you.

“I’m not gonna hurt you, doll.” The Joker growled in annoyance, quickly losing his patience at your lack of response. “Just have a drink.”

“I don’t drink.” You finally confessed quietly.

“Oh?” He arched a brow, his eyes widening in question. “Frosty trying to preserve his innocent angel?”

You glared at the man, lounging in his chair as he taunted your dad. “No.” You said stiffly, trying to hold back the annoyance from your voice. “I choose not to.”

“And why is that?” He challenged, tipping his glass at you, his eyes bright with interest.

You didn’t know whether to tell him or not. You knew it would cause no harm to explain – your mother’s drinking habit not exactly a secret – but you also couldn’t help wanting to defy the man by withholding the information from him.

You doubted few people did that to him, but maybe there was a good reason for that - because they knew they’d regret it.

Maybe you would regret it

“I’m waiting…” The Joker sang at you, and you knew his good humour would only last for so long.

“My mum.” You finally admitted. “She was a drunk. I don’t want to become that.” You said simply, bowing your head at your confession, but you were now looking directly down at the alcohol on your lap, and the sight of it made you feel nauseous. You turned you gaze away to the side, looking down at the thick carpet instead.

You heard the Joker growl from his seat, and you glanced across at him as he stood up, worried that he was annoyed once more by your lack of eye contact. He took a step forwards and he flinched as he reached for you, but he simply grabbed the glass from your lap, and continued past you, heading for the closed door. He flung it open smoothly and stepped through, turning to speak lowly to someone that stood just to the side of the doorway. After a few moments of rushed words and a growl from the Joker that sounded like a warning, a man hurried past the door and down the hallway, whilst the Joker re-entered the room, still holding both drinks and taking a gulp of his own.

He strode without a word back to his seat and you risked a glance across as him once he had settled, surprised how dark and sullen his face was, and you were worried that you had somehow manged to insult him by confessing your aversion to alcohol.

You sat in silence for a few moments, dreading what would happen next – would he turn a gun on you? Lunge at you? Would you see your dad again? And what had he said to that man? Where had he gone? To dig a ditch for your body?

After a short while of silence, there was a knock at the door which the Joker had left open, and you snapped around at the door, seeing a man in the doorway, outlined by the light from the hallway.

Your immediately leapt at the hope that it was Frost in the door, but then the man stepped into the room, the soft light falling on his face and showing features that clearly weren’t your dad’s.

The man you presumed was another of the Joker’s many henchmen, walked towards the two of you, carrying what appeared to be a tall drink which, on closer inspection, looked to be a milkshake. The man paused by the side of your chair, handing the drink down to you. You frowned in confusion, but took it from him nonetheless, trying to hide how much your hands were still shaking.

The henchman then quickly departed without a word, closing the door behind him and once more shutting you away with the psychotic criminal next to you.

The Joker now downed the rest of his drink, resting the empty glass on the coffee table between you, then glancing across at where you had now rested the taller glass on your lap.

“What, don’t drink milkshakes either, kitten?” He growled. “I can promise you I haven’t poisoned it.” He grumbled, sounding annoyed, though not like he wanted to strike at you again, but more that he was just exasperated by you.

His promise didn’t exactly comfort you though, but you didn’t want to push your luck, not really having an excuse now to refuse the drink, and so you tried a cautious sip from the straw. The shake was delicious, and you were surprised how much the sugary drink oddly soothed your nerves - reminding you of your childhood and the many diner meals you’d had with your dad when he’d finally accepted the fact that he couldn’t cook.

You took a larger slurp.

The Joker just watched you now, as though fascinated by every little flicker of emotion across your face. You swallowed self-consciously, feeling your cheeks warm at his close scrutiny and keeping your eyes averted from him, instead studying the archaic-looking fireplace in front of you.

“You know who I am, doll...” The Joker suddenly said, and it wasn’t a question. You glanced across at him in surprise. He waited for your response and you simply gave a small nod in return. “And you know what I do...” He pointed out. You nodded again. “So then, tell me kitten… Why are you here?”

“Because you asked me to come here.” You murmured, confused by the question.

“No, I asked Frost to bring you here.” He corrected, taking a sip from the glass of whiskey that he had originally given to you.

“And you don’t believe that Frost would force me to come here.” You suggested bravely, guessing his confusion.

He let out a laugh at how quickly you caught on, grinning. “If he was that sort of a father, doll, I highly doubt you would be the girl you appear to be.”  

You felt your cheeks heat again, but you nodded along to this. He was right, if Frost hadn’t treated you the way he had – if you had grown up with your mother instead – you would not be the person you were today.

The Joker said nothing, sipping at his drink again, continuing to watch you, as though still waiting an explanation from you.

You paused for a moment, turning your eyes back on the empty fireplace. “I know you.” You said slowly, nodding, eyes on the black pit. “I know what you do.” You agreed again with another slow nod. “But I would not let you hurt my dad over the fact that I did not want to come here today.” You answered, now glancing across at the man next to you.

The Joker looked at you, almost seeming impressed with your selfishness, but also humoured by your mimicking of him.

“You’re quite the sassy little saint, aren’t ya doll?” He teased with a wide grin.

“Not really.” You muttered bitterly without thinking and immediately freezing, certain you’d put your foot in it this time. But the Joker simply let a long slow laugh, the noise echoing hauntingly around the room.

“Ooooo, I like you doll,” He grinned once his laughter subsided, “you’re sweet, but ya got some spice.,, Frosty did well.” He commended, clearly meaning this to be a compliment, but the patronising tone made you glare at him again.

When his eyes met yours again you dropped your annoyed look – you might be irritated, but you weren’t stupid enough to let him know it – but you didn’t seem to have been quick enough.

“Have I annoyed you, doll?” The Joker asked, raising an unimpressed eyebrow.

You didn’t say anything, refusing to look at him in case your eyes gave you away. You knew he would want an answer though, so you simply shook your head.

“Don’t lie to me, doll.” The Joker warned coldly. “That is the one thing I will not stand for.” You swallowed against the sudden dryness in your throat. “So, tell me again,” The Joker growled lowly, leaning towards you, “Did I annoy you?”

You nodded this time.

“Now that’s better.” He praised. “A bit of honesty!” He grinned, though it didn’t meet his eye. “And why have I annoyed you, doll?” He pushed.

You hated how weak and submissive he made you. You’d had a fleeting hope with the gesture of the milkshake that there might be something nice in the man somewhere, but now that hope was quickly being crushed.

You were vulnerable, and he knew it. You couldn’t fight back, and he knew it. You had to do everything he said, and he knew it.

The Joker raised an eyebrow again, questioning your hesitation and daring you to not obey, to refuse to answer, or to even try to lie to him.

“You are very patronising about my father.” You finally told him. You tried to state it clearly and confidently, but your voice broke part way through revealing your discomfort – though your still-rigid posture probably already conveyed that clearly enough.

“You’re very loyal.” The Joker muttered, sounding impressed again and you held his gaze, refusing to buckle this time. You had no reason to look away, you told yourself. You were not ashamed of being loyal – especially not to the father you loved so much.

“How about we put that little loyalty to the test, hmm?” The Joker suddenly grinned maliciously. You swallowed apprehensively, not liking the sound of this. “What if I told you…” He drawled, “That I would fire Frosty if you didn’t kiss me right now…?” He purred seductively, his icy eyes not wavering from yours, looking for every little reaction you made.

You flinched at his words, knowing he had chosen the very fear that would hit you hardest in that moment – him taking advantage of you. He truly did want to test your loyalty.

You shifted in your seat slightly, forcing yourself to sit taller and straighter if that was at all possible, eyeing the Joker defiantly. “I would say you are lying.” You stated strongly. “You would never fire Frost. Thoughts on How We Became a Nation of Distrustful Conspiracy Theorists

I think it begins with President Johnson. LBJ was not the charismatic leader that JFK was. He would never command the popularity or loyalty of JFK. LBJ’s only real claim to fame (and likely reason he was chosen as VP) was his political dealing, his knowledge of how to work Congress. He was not a leader in the sense of inspiring others with ideas and ideals. He was more adept at finding pressure points, domestically, to force others to give him what he wanted.

When Kennedy was assassinated LBJ’s biggest fear was that the Soviets might be behind it, because that would mean he would be forced into a war that would certainly hijack any agenda he wanted for his presidency. So when LBJ, the backroom deal maker and manipulator, formed the Warren Commission to investigate the assassination with the intent that it find that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, things quickly got off the rails. Having a predetermined outcome at the beginning of an investigation, coupled with LBJ’s reputation, was an invitation to alternate conclusions.

Conspiracy theories about the assassination began almost immediately, with Mark Lane publishing an article a month after the assassination in December of 1963, and later a book (Rush to Judgment). Perhaps, as William Manchester speculated, people would have invented some more involved explanation to make it seem “balanced” because it seemed inconceivable that a vibrant and powerful man like the president could be taken down by a “loser loner”.

Nevertheless, it was LBJ and his administration that gave credence to the ideas that the government couldn’t be trusted. Add to this his failed attempt to sell the public that we were winning the Viet Nam war, when it was clear to everyone that was not the case, and the well of trust in good government was running dry fast. Add to this the fact, surmised at the time and now confirmed, that the Gulf of Tonkin incident, which was the excuse for escalating our role from “advisors” to combatants, was a huge mistake responding to misread radar signals which then was packaged as an attack.

The “establishment’s” resistance to obvious changes needed for social justice only further undermined a sense that the institutions of society could be relied upon to be responsive to the people, let alone to do the right things. Their resistance was made both more ridiculous and more frightening by the petty issues they also chose to focus on, e.g. hair and clothes. Follow this quickly with the assassinations of Rev. Dr. King, and Robert Kennedy and the lengths to which some would go to stop change was now clear. It was clear who had the money, power and desire to stop these changes and that no doubt helped inspire the next round of conspiracy theories, whether or not those people were involved.

No account of the decline of public trust in and decency of our leaders would be complete without mentioning Richard Nixon. His dirty tricks during the elections, and subsequent cover ups may not have been entirely new, but their exposure and his “ham-handed” way of handling them added another blemish on the highest office.

As the erosion of trust in public institutions, and other crises increase, it is sadly common for people to turn to simple (even simplistic) answers. Thus we have the rise of cults, and the extreme religious right. They offer simple, if not valid or provable, explanations that appeal to the biases and fears of their audiences.

This reaches a critical point when Ronald Reagan essentially gives the religious right a key seat at the Republican table to avoid the possibility of having independents split enough of the votes to leave him without a victory. Of course Reagan is independently an example of the erosion of the office of President as, by his own admission, he was playing a part, just like the actor he always was.

The incompetency and/or self-dealing associated with the high offices of our nation, and the electorate’s black or white thinking, insisting on simple answers to complex problems further undermine our institutions and our sense that there is some objective standard of truth. In fact, the rise of the Internet and social media turned everyone’s right to an opinion into every opinion is of equal value.

It would be another of those simple explanations to say that this is all the fault of greedy opportunists who found a way to make money publishing their conspiracy theories, or even that “loser nobodies” spread them for their moment of fame, even if only in the eyes of a handful of associates. There are surely some of the above involved, but I honestly think it has been a slow erosion over the last sixty years, and that worries me about how we can reconstruct a society that isn’t divided into camps that ignore the facts because they are unwilling to honestly examine them. We must get past this position where every rumor or piece of hearsay is taken as fact, but only if it supports our preconceived opinions.

Perhaps we could start with agreeing to validate and examine the actual facts of each issue, instead of presuming that they are lies if we don’t like them. Then maybe we could stop the “slippery slope” arguments. These have been overdone to the extreme. BTW the proper use of “slippery slope” is not what you think might happen next, but where there is no way to make a clearly definable limit between what is and isn’t to be permitted. Permitting abortion is not on a slippery slope with euthanasia because there is a well definable difference, the actual birth, the separation of one life from being hosted by another. Banning books, movies etc. because they are “offensive” is a slippery slope because there is no universal standard for what is offensive.

Maybe we could acknowledge that societies are very complex things and claiming to know exactly what will unravel one is at least potentially arrogant and wrong. Every restriction or regulation on gun ownership isn’t necessarily a step toward outlawing all gun ownership. Allowing people of color, gay and lesbian, transgender etc. to be free of discrimination in public society does NOT mandate your personal feelings. You can still think they are going to Hell, you just cannot try to make their life Hell here, any more than you would want someone to do the same to you for who you are and what you feel. (Isn’t there a “golden” rule about that somewhere?)

I am genuinely worried about those who embrace violence in the name of returning this country to what they think was its days of greatness. I will oppose them with violence if forced to, but I am still hopeful that there are enough sensible conservatives and progressives to work together to make a better world.

The conservatives often raise valid concerns about change and its destabilizing effect. We progressives should take some of that counsel and not leap so blindly. Conservatives need listen to progressives as they tell them of the way the world looks from the bottom side of our society of privilege and try to understand that everything bad or unfortunate is not someone’s own fault. Progressives need to acknowledge that sometimes some of the people we want to help are not doing enough to help themselves, that maybe some need a different sort of help from us. Both sides need to understand that there are dishonest players who will take advantage of either side’s programs and protections – and work together to end that abuse, instead of exaggerating it to criticize the other.

Most of all, we need to start and end these “debates” with an examination of all of the facts, the verified facts; not the gossipy hearsay of social media and opinion pieces masquerading as “news and information”.

I’d say he has some Fe there but the degree of inappropriate jokes vs value judgements/policing suggests tertiary rather than dominant. ESTP then. 

Pretty much that common Fi PolR/ Fe tert problem of not realizing your own inclinations & opinions of yourself “count” & therefore  looking for external validation a lot. Adding to that is his crazy aim & knack for planning sneaky strategies on the fly, also he once mentioned he has a hard time sleeping if he gets all pumped off, having so much energy it needs to be burned off is a common Se dom issue, as is his concern with looks, status & “finer pleasures” & his competitive streak.

He’s an inert subtype, and enneagram wise he’s such an obvious 3w2 someone who never saw the show could tell just from me reblogging posts about him. He keeps making up roles for himself to play (”cool ninja sharpshooter”) & hoping they catch on with the others, though there’s also an angle of wanting to contribute & be needed.

You kinda also see the “dexterous/practical” side of Si with his being a mechanic. The makers have described the contrast between him and pidge as the “figure it out & think it up” side of engineering vs the “buid it & make it work” side of it  which is basically N vs. S in a nutshell.

Apparently there has been a case of “the fan-favorite is always INFJ” (TF?) but I think most of us will agree that he has Te - he’s goot at handing out tasks, managing people, coming up with courses of action...

He rocks that tert Fi too in that he’s a good listener & tries to further the other’s personal developement. 

We often think of natural leaders as extroverts but ISTJ is prolly the introvert most likely to become head-of-state. He just fits the overall patterns of ISTJ: Dilligent, put-together (when he can help it), great integrity, perceptive with details & able to use comparision with past experiences to kick butt in the present (Like when he timed the Sentry Drones’ rounds), though he does’t have the elbowy agression/striving of other TJ-types, and he’s a morning person too. 

He’s probably a contact subtype. Temperament wise he’d be one of those few where I’d be tempted to call ‘balanced/Leukine’, but if I didn’t I’d say ChlorPhleg comes the closest.  1w9 af, prolly sp/soc with a degree of both personalperfectionism & mentoring others present, and also feeling overly responsible for everything. 

Oldham wise an obvious conscientious type. 

While he’d sure have some gryffindor potential, his firm belief in teamwork & humility would probaby land him in Hufflepuff.- Think Cedric Diggory who was also a sort of prodigy. Though he is probably also very much a Wampus.

Also, he’s a classic, archetypical pure Saturn type. Actually, I believe at least partially saturnyne personalities are the Black Lion’s thing. Still not sure how Blue’s could be quantified, apart from possibly favoring extroverts, but that’s probably by design.

I’m just gonna flat out say that he cannot be anything other than a contact subtype Se auxillary. Just look at all that Se! That’s about as much of the stuff as you can possibly cram into an introvert. 

He’s got sharp senses & reflexes, often reacts to opportunities, observations and impressions in the moment (and very often it’s a deliberate risk that works out - he’s not just “hotheaded” or “not thinking”, but he’s thinking about things to do or investigate, not so much what happens next. ) & improvised, didn’t really have longterm plans after flunking out, He also very much has the ‘decisive’ and agressive side of Se though I wouldn’t call him dominant. 

And I’m saying ISTP over ISFP b/c the Se itself seems a sufficient explanation for his reactive nature,and then there’s general lack of people skills, solitary mode of operation & difficulty with group work (not a shred of Te not even inferior) 

Also, when he’s actually thinking rather than just waltzing in guns blazing, he very much has task-oriented, detached impersonal reasoning  “But can we afford to save the princess? It’s not about the glory. The cause is bigger than any of us.” He’s also very much the cynic of the group or the one most inclined to see things in shades of grey rather than black & whites. 

I doublechecked this to make sure I’m not just assuming him to be a Ti dom b/c he’s my fav character, but ‘ISTP’ really seem to summarize his character & much of the metas written about him very well.

Soo... is he a cp 6? a sp4? An 8? Probably all of those, they don’t call that the “tripple reactive” tritype for nothing but coretype wise I’d put him very much in the action triad as a 8w7, that’s not even all that uncommon for ISTPs. He’s also very distinctly soc blind,(which may explain why he doesn’t really manifest the dominant part of the 8, but he’s very much got the every-man-for-himself, rely-on-no-one rebel part of it, as well as the characteristic problem with backing down/shelving arguments though the other fixes, again, don’t help.  ) not sure if sx/sp or sp/sx, on the one hand he’s...tempestuous, on the other he spent a year as a desert hermit and found itpleasantly calm, at least in part, so if pressed I’d go with sp/sx, also because of his tedency to hold himself apart from the group somewhat without much indication that it’s a conscious choice. 

Oldham wise he’s got some adventurous & some vigilant but also some sort of more emotionally juicy counterpoint to that without which he’d have a lot more hostile unconcern. He’s not clingy enough for Mercurial tho so I’m vaguely at a loss. 

He’s got some more maturity to acquire there but I do think there’s very much a Saturn-Mars underneath it all. Certainly NOT as thought-through as a pure saturn and with no shortage on the action but he does have momentzs of somberness and nuanced understanding.  Very much fits both the archetype of the ‘rugged doer’ and the ‘powerful, cause-oriented person’. though he still has some work to do on the ‘inspiring others’ part.

Clearly has both Ne (wackyness and quirkyness) and Si (storytime! “Proper” Traditionalist), and too much for either to be the inferior. 

Since he doesn’t seem like a Ne auxillary, that leaves us with ESFJ by principle of exclusion, like he kinda has the chattynes & is always helping with everything & taking all the duties. Probably a contact subtype. 

Hufflepuff for similar reasons. IDK bout Ilvermony but he does have an adventurous side that did shenanigans with the previous paladins, so probably Thunderbird. 

Out of the enneagram types that commonly occur in ExSJ, 9 seems the likeliest, he’s nor dramatic enough for a core type in the emotional triad. I’d say he also has a 7w6 fix somewhere. Also he’s probably soc-first... and in hindsight actualy acts alot like a textbook social 9, working a lot to support the community while not taking the spotlight himself.

Also a very obvious Aggressive type (complete with the comon constellation where the spouse can deal with & accept that that but the kid’s can’t & regular teenage rebellion ends in dramatic estrangement), like, he would not be questioned even by his best friend even long before he went nuts enough to randomly murder ppl for talking back to him.

You could deem him an  8w9 and a Saturn for similar reasons though he evidently incorporates the more negative aspects of that... though he did have a “protective-responsible” side before things got too sour.

I found her hard to get a read on for the first two seasons, but with the backstory reveal I think I can conclude INTx, see the whole lightning speech & the whole “Think of the Potential!” attitude, also her being a misanthropic cat lady & sassing Alfor to his face (”customary gesture”) way before things went all sour.

I am less sure here, but out of the two options INTP is more likely because I think I see more indications for SiFe than for FiSe. Her present day self is markedly more cautious than she was in her younger days. She minimally toys with her victims for effect (Poor Shiro) and has this pretty honest devotion & concern for Zarkon, though she seems content subordinating herself to him, though she has this dourish Si-Ti bubble-popping, “Yeah sure but be cautious” attitude especially in interaction with Lotor & Zarkon.  

Beyond that, i’d say that she is a very clearly an inert subtype, a Serious-primary and probably some fashion of 5w6 (by principle of exclusion). Slytherin & Horned Serpent. What else would a mad science shadow empress space witch possbly be? Might be Lunar but don’t really have a good read there

Lotor

Some kind of NF, ENFJ if I had to guess. Not his father indeed, though still quite ExxJ. He has the charme, he has a planning, analytic quality underneath, but while he had ambition the more fundamental motivation seems to be to enarn recognition to prove himself.

sx/soc 7, glorious, extra with lots of plumage, certainly very self-interested when it comes down but you could totally picture him just chilling with his henchladies & preferring a ‘personal’ environment/inner circle though he can totally work crowds like clay. 

Self-Confident with a tinge of Exuberant perhaps. 

Slytherin Thunderbird. 

Perhaps what an antagonistic Solar Type looks like. He’s got charme, he’s got loftiness and big goals he works hard to accomplish and little hesitation to put his own person out on the field  but he’s sorta the very opposite of naive, very much a planner and going all road runner on poor Keith. Come to think of it,one could make a good case for him as a Solar-Saturn. 

As for the Generals/henchladies we’ve only seen bits & pieces of them so far all we can really tell is that Narti and Acxa are introverts while Zethrid and Ezor are extroverts, but Imma risk a guess based on rough vibes/ intuition:

i thought it was shit that AD was twincer (alex drake) - mainly because most of spoby scenes in this season, apparently, it wasn’t spencer, so I’M VERY UPSET, which kinda makes me question WHAT SPOBY SCENES IN THE SERIES WERE REALLY SPOBY, so

btw, someone from the cast or the crew (maybe even marlene, idk) - i don’t really follow their tweets/interviews bc i’m always busy af so - said AD was there since the pilot?????? does that mean maybe alex was pretending to be spencer in a scene or more? i wanted SO BADLY, right from the start, for lucas to be in the A(D) team. we were so close to that, and i was so happy, only to be even more frustrated later in the finale. we didn’t even get to know more of his story with charles, which could be something to make him be a part of the AD team. UGH SO MUCH POTENTIAL WASTED, I’M SO MAD

and let me just add here: that idk where from accent was SO BAD. not because troian isn’t natural from somewhere with that accent or because we’re used to her american one, but it didn’t really add much to the character? it just kept distracting me from the story alex was trying to tell and every word she spoke just made me make an ‘ew’ face.

btw was i the only one who saw RIGHT AT THE MOMENT it wasn’t a mirror AND THAT IT WAS ANOTHER PERSON (obviously, the twincer) when spencer was touching her hair and alex did the same so she would think it was a mirror and bla bla bla? i guess some people might have jumped off when she said ‘boo’ haha but anyways that reveal was epic, i must admit it. not the mirror illusion thingy, i thought it was kinda cliché tbqh, i always expected that if the twincer theory was real, but the ‘boo’ was nice lol

the only ship that got a full ‘circle’/closure, with a wedding, a honeymoon (even if it wasn’t shown), a future planned and kind of concrete was ezria. haleb got a crappy ‘wedding’ and a (2-second-announcement - if it was even that long - of) pregnancy (i’d like to see caleb kissing her belly, they finding out the baby’s sex, picking a name...), emison got a shitty proposal (although they had some cute scenes, like the picnic one), spoby didn’t even get a kiss, not even a hug, fml, i’m so angry.

can i just say “i'll think of all that might have been” (quoting evermore from batb bc it just fits right in lol - i’m actually crying as i type ‘lol’ tho)

it left us with unsolved things that probably will never be explained (perhaps there’s not even any explanation, since it wasn’t planned from the start and it turned into this gigantic mess with no links at all and no way to be fixed)

the show was supposed to end with answers but all it gave us was more questions
