ngl I'm rewatching fear street again and Kate and Simons deaths felt so...off I guess? like I think the deli cutter kill is insane and really cool, but it felt more like they died for shock value then anything.

I get it, its a horror movie, a borderline slasher at that, but their deaths felt more like "haha surprise!!!! We got you didn't we?!?" then anything else. And its not like they didn't have a role for them, I can easily see them both fitting into the story later on.

If Nunalastor hadn't already grown accustomed to such deviancy, they would be horrified. Still, the depraved ideas these people came up with never failed to send shivers down their spine, and not the pleasant kind.

And why do they subject themselves to this? you may ask. It was simple. In exchange for free housing, food and supplies, Lucifer Morningstar, the devil himself and father of Charlie Morningstar had requested their help. You see, originally their blog was not this unfortunate cesspool of deranged demons who wanted to see the devil, overlords and sinners squirm under immense sexual pleasure. It used to be a simple marketing tool for the Hazbin hotel, but as all things in hell, it never goes smoothly. As Nunalastor started to clean their digital home, erasing one cursed ask after another, responding to one alastor circus theory after another, One ask in particular caught their attention. It was definitely a surprise, and a welcome one at that. It stood out like a sore thumb, simple yet elegant, divine and a blessing among heaps of cursed messages that would have asmodeus and satan themselves shaking in fear.

This called for a special occasion. Dickmaster gripped their keyboard, nearly smashing it with the force. Their fingers danced along the keys and crafted a response like no other, one worthy of this random anon that managed to make their day a bit brighter.

On the other side of the pentagram, a kind, sweet and not at all deranged huskers was scrolling through hells version of tumblr. Voxtek devices had proven to be quite useful in the underworld. It served as the main source of entertainment and escape for the lonely, not only for husk, but other sinners alike. Besides, being an employee meant he had extra privileges with Voxtek. Regardless, it introduced husk to the nunalastor blog, which was the best moment of their life (or lack thereof, considering they're dead).

They'd quickly grown accustomed to the undeserved hate thrown their way upon their first ever interractioin. Though they didn't understand, they could play along. They found strange comfort in the twisted logic that any form of attention was better than none. After all, being singled out meant they were special in the eyes of Nunalastor, right? that's how husk comforted themselves anyway. And they haven't seen Nunalastor actually reply to anyone with actual love before.

That is... until it happened. Someone who would later reveal themselves as babygirl anon, husks worst adversary and the unfortunate victim of lulu's slander showed up on their feed.

Husk stared at the screen in shock, their eyes widening and heart growing heavy. Countless questions and conflicting emotions swirled within them, each clutching their hold for attention. 'Is nunalastor serious? Do I not want them to be serious? Why can't I be treated the same? What did I do?' And amidst the chaos, one thought rose to the surface, crystal clear in Husk's mind.

'I want to be loved like that'

The frustration of being at the end of every one of Nunalastors verbal spears finally caught up to husk. Every small jab they'd written off as jokes suddenly felt like small pin needles scraping their skin. Unable to deal with the whirlwind of emotions and the confusion of it all, Husk sought solace in the one place they could always trust, the bottom of a bottle.

So they took a swig. And another. And another. Intil there wasn't a shred of emotion left to feel. Not a single thread of frustration left in them, not a nerve of anguish, not a line of confusing verbal spewage...

And not even a speck of self-restraint

"THEY JUST KEEP COMING" Dickmaster exclaimed, more like yelled as their inbox was flooded with more cursed asks at a rate faster than they could answer. At this pace, they'll be there all day, answering these asks like a poor overworked minimum wage employee at a call center.

"They'll run out of ideas eventually" Nun responded, nonchalantly, leaning against a nearby wall, sipping on a drink of their own. Nun watched as dickmaster struggled to find another reaction image fast enough so they could call it quits and leave the rest of the struggles for future Nunalastor to handle, or more accurately when it would be nun's turn to answer all the unhinged people in their inbox.

The hurried clicking of the keys on a keyboard could be heard throughout the entire room, bouncing off the walls, reflecting exactly how much infestation was actually happening in nunalastors inbox by the minute. "it would be great if you could answer a few you know, my fingers are dyin-"

And then it suddenly went quiet. The clicking died down and the unbelievably loud buzzing of their computer, along with the hitched breathing of Dickmaster was the only sound bouncing around the room. Nun of course raised a brow at this. "what's the holdup? we can't afford to take a break you know" they said, as if they were the one answering all of the asks in the first place.

nun walked over, curious as to what exactly had stopped dickmaster in his endless pursuit of emptying their inbox, considering they were always the more enthusiastic one of the two. "are you okay?" nun asked, half sarcastically. Their eyes landed over the current ask in their inbox.

"I wish you'd love me" huskers-bar

and suddenly the silence made sense. the pause had been a justified one.

dickmaster inhaled, followed by a deep and saddened exhale. they didn't want to take their eyes off of those five words. they could stare in awe and amazement at them for hours. it wasn't even the fact that it was just another ask that wasn't cursed, but because it was huskers-bar that sent-

a hand on dickmasters shoulder snaps them out of their daze, being brought back to reality, the pitiful reality. they were in hell for a reason, they reminded themselves.

"you remember our deal, don't you, dickmaster?" nuns voice cut through the buzzing, sounding deep, gruff, threatening and slightly saddened.

"yes of course" dickmaster turned back to the monitor, giving one last look at the ask before typing out what nunalastor has agreed would be the appropriate response.

I've seen an opinion about JJK that the story needs so much pointless death and unrealized potential because it is the point. That this is the world of JJK, cruel and killing off potential because of higher-ups indifference and carelessness with sorcerer's lives. That Gege did a brave thing by stepping out of the line of a typical shouen plot and made his characters suffer and die and pointed out the ridiculousness of adults making children fight for them.

And to all of that I say - I get it. But also I don't agree.

There is a significant difference between the potential in-universe and the potential of the characters. Sure, they overlap a lot, especially in series like JJK, but there is a difference. For example, both the characters and us have been thrilled with the unspoken potential of Megumi's "sacred treasure" and I'm pretty sure every single one of us went wild when he made his half-baked domain in S1. Also, he got Sukuna as his hypeman - it's hard to really top that in terms of potential. But when I say character potential, I don't mean only power scaling one - I mean what they could do in a story. And one of the best examples for me are The Twins. You know, the ones that try to bargain with Sukuna to kill off the Fake-Getou. And the quite pointless death of BOTH of them.

Their techniques personally interest me a lot but it's not even about that. Even if there is not that much space to explore with them cursed technique-wise, wouldn't it be so interesting if one of them got to live? Betrayed by every curse she turned for help to, alone in a raging Shibuya - forced to work with the School Gang? With their very differing opinions, with her wildly different perspective... Man, I'm not that good of a writer to figure it out on a fly. But there was potential there, a very interesting one, and wasting it isn't the nail on the coffin for Gege's story - but it does disappoint me, considering how hyped the story was for me beforehand. How much trust I put into Gege's writing.

And with the way things are going with Nanami, Nobara and, from what I've gathered from my partner's ashamed face when I mentioned my suspicions, Todou, this is no longer about power potential the characters had (although with Nobara it kinda still is). It's about how those deaths are hidden behind the smoke screen of theme and well, that's the cruelty of the world that tries to hide the balant shock-value of these deaths. Because back in season 1 Gojo already said it - that he knows killing higher-ups won't really solve anything. That it's about a new generation doing better, forcing a change others reject.

So why isn't this story about that? Why does it kill off THREE (?) characters for the sake of kicking Yuuji into dirt? Why does Mahito even require so many named deaths to establish... What exactly? That he's fucked up and immoral and direct opposite of Yuuji? That he can bring out the worst in him? I THINK I GOT THE POINT AFTER JUNPEI AND NANAMI, REALLY.

So, with the spoilers I have from the manga, I just feel like it's not quite right to call those deaths deserved because of the setting. Not when the story in S1 promised a change, a hopeful future set by the new generation.

And if that were never the main focus of the series, then I don't want to hear a single world about those deaths contributing to it because they are not.

Man, there is no one who wants to love JJK more than me and there is no one more heartbroken that I can't bring myself to do so anymore.

I'm glad I came off as respectful and left a positive impression on you! I do a lot of shit-posting about Dazai, but I do feel like I am at least fair to him when I am analyzing his actions? Other times, yeah, I'm just indulging in my desire to beat him bloody. Just, like, once. To get it out of my system XD. For science.

And the ship posts! Those were soooo fun to make. And oh, let me think about any other ships and my thoughts on them...

Fyolai (Fyodor / Nikolai) – Remember how I was like "there's just some things you don't write if you don't want people to ship two characters?" This is another case. This is the reason I disagree with people that go like "bsd is the only manga where no ships are necessary," like bro, there's so many things wrong with that sentence. It is absolutely necessary to make a bond such as these two's feel almost tangible to the viewers. It is essential to understand Nikolai's emotional dependance on Fyodor as a driving factor to his actions. Nikolai is orbiting around him, and you can see Fyodor having a genuine interest in this man, who doesn't play a big role in his grand plans. To me, these two feel kinda like Soukoku? Something something "the stars aligned so we could meet." 10/10 ship.

Ranpoe (Ranpo / Poe) – What God do I need to pray to in oder to get about 50 OVAs with these two?? Season 4 Ranpoe was the biggest treat and gift to me, personally. I love love love their dynamic so much. Like, yeah, Poe idolizes Ranpo, but he is now just as much in Ranpo's radar as well! Ranpo imprinted on him, he is Ranpo's emotional support rich boyfriend for fuck's sake. The way Ranpo uses his ability seamlessly?? Like it belongs to him?? Like he's so goddamn comfortable with it?? And what about the, "What would I do with myself if Ranpo-kun were to die..?” They're literally soulmates. They met and clicked so hard, they found each other, they suit each other, they complete each other. 10 million/10.

AtsuLucy (Atsushi / Lucy) – Firstly, I love Lucy, I think she's a great character, I love her design and personality and ability and everything. My baby. However, I have no particular attachment to this ship. It's not bad, and it's perfectly valid, but I don't see like- a need for it, you know? They understand each other, have stuff in common, and impacted each other's lives; I do love when two characters save each other left and right, so kudos for that. Honestly, they seem like they'd be absolutely amazing friends, really close, and honestly, I would love to see Atsushi have such a friendship, I think it would be good for him, but personally I don't see them in a romantic light. 9/10 ship due to the lack of feels I got from their interactions.

HiguGin (Higuchi / Gin) – I think that they're amazing and I would die for them. I need a spin-off of them. I need at least a whole WAN episode of them going on a date and shopping and eating ice cream and training and going to the beach– basically everything because they'd have the best relationship ever. I can just see them cuddling on a couch and watching TV as sskk fight over the last dumping in the kitchen. I need more about them like I need air. Also, petition for Beast Higuchi and Beast Gin to take over the Mafia. For reasons. 10/10 ship.

FukuMori (Fukuzawa / Mori) – Yeah, yeah, they're divorced Double Black and whatever, but let's be real for a second; no one can convince me that when Fukuchi first showed up, y'all's reaction was not, "Hold on a second Fukuzawa, what about your husband?!" The way Fukuchi behaved with Ranpo screamed new boyfriend trying to gain the son's approval, I was dying XD. "But Fukuchi knew Fukuzawa first!!" Yeah, yeah, I don't care– I'm not a zskk shipper until Fukuchi enters the screen. Let Fukuzawa and Mori be the yin and yang pillars of Yokohama. 9/10 ship because Mori is *sigh* a bad guy. Sad.

Odango (Oda / Ango) – They are married. No, I will not accept criticism. This is canon to me.

KuniBram (Kunikida / Bram) – My sister has decided they're also married and coparenting, so the conclusion is that they're married and coparenting.

Do you have any romantic headcanon's for Gyutaro? How would he treat his s/o?

Hello anon! I do. I've shared a few of them previously but I do have a whole Tedtalk of a headcanon I've been slow cooking in my brain, re: Gyutaro and romance.

(As a disclaimer: I'm not here to argue about moral purity or whatever. I'm also not making any intentional digs or slams on fandom authors. He's a 2D fictional character, it's all fake, etc etc. I'm just practicing media literacy.)

I think Gyutaro could feel romantic love. But romantic love isn't always pure or wholesome, and Gyutaro DEFINITELY isn't either of those things. The majority of Gyutaro content is 'x reader' fanfics, most of which are usually sympathetic to the idea that a good person lies underneath all his excuses and rage. Plus, the medium kinda demands brevity, broad applicability, and suspension of disbelief.

I'm not one to turn down a redemption arc. But I find that very few writers actually dig into the fascinating, terrible things that come with a romantic relationship with someone like Gyutaro, whose personality is so controlling and maligned. This is someone who recognized and regretted what he did to his SISTER only when it was completely too late and they were dying together. He gave her what he thought was the best life for her, but that life NEVER expanded beyond him and the Entertainment District. I'm all for having fun and 'it's not that deep' shipping stuff, but as a Gyutaro fan, it often feels like glossing over it for the sake of a happy ending is a sincere disservice to his character.

If anyone IS capable of redemption, they have to want it. One rarely stumbles into being a good person. And unfortunately, people are deeper and more complex than 'a hot person gave me common decency for the first time in 100 years, time for evil (and feminism) to leave my body.' It's a common villain romance trope, especially for antagonists with poor self-esteem or violent tendencies like Gyutaro.

(This inevitably leads to 'is this romanticizing abuse' and 'do you REALLY think love can change a person if they don't WANT to change' discussions, but that's not the subject.)

That being said. Here are some actual headcanons you asked for:

I think he would be just as controlling over his S/O. He still 'cares' about them, but it's not nearly so personal as when Daki gets slighted. If they finish the night still alive, then they have no rights or space to complain about his methods. He aggressively uses his 'ugliness' and cruelty as a way to neg his S/O, and takes pride in tarnishing what life or reputation they might have had. It's likely he prefers to isolate them from the rest of the world and turn them into his and his sister's thrall. He always wants the upper hand regardless-- he's a menace until he gets it.

He's quick to fall in love with the 'idea' of someone, which makes him callous and aloof when he's not in a mood for attention. A romantic interest who pursues him despite his lashing out and neglectful episodes is painted as the needy one; the moment he feels insecure or alone, it's their fault for not appreciating or acknowledging him more.

He's a classic bully who will push boundaries and see how much his significant other will let him get away with. But rather than grovel for them to not leave him, he turns the tables and makes them seem like the ungrateful one. He's not above stalking, threatening/hurting loved ones, and physical violence. But depending on how much he emotionally relies on his partner/how strong they are, he may just avoid taking any action he's not ready to follow through on. They're only allowed to die on HIS terms, as he sees fit. I figure at that point he has his sister emotionally manipulate his S/O into falling back into their expected role.

I still remember my memories from my past life, I still remember her in that life. "Sukuna, promise me that you'll find me in our next life." she said those words like the sweetest thing I could ever taste. I love her. More than anything in this world. So I promised to find her, in the process I get to meet her grandparents. They would always tell stories about her, just by listening to them it seemed to me that she has the best times of her life despite that she is alone living in their hometown. And I reflected on it, how much of a life we had back in our last life.

And it wasn't much, we met at a very weird scenario we weren't that perfect at all, but I remembered how I took for granted your feelings before without knowing that she would only have so little time to spare living, I felt like an idiot pushing her away back then. I wasted my time arguing, hating, ignoring her when I could've just stayed by her side and spent more time. I didn't want to see her die in front of me, so I broke our promise. I didn't look for her specifically but just knowing about her was enough until one day I saw her. The old lady who was managing the flower shop is in the hospital she said, I never actually imagined myself being able to hear her voice, to see her up close and to even catch a scent of her. (I missed her so much...) looking into her eyes, it seemed to be that her memories of the past didn't actually come to her, she is just a mere granddaughter who manages her grandmother's shop.

That is why I decided to stay away from her, to avoid getting myself in a deep hole again, I didn't want to see her suffering slowly dying again in my arms. But faith and destiny wouldn't leave me be, wherever I go I see her. At town and even random streets. But I didn't mind it at all. "Mr. Yakuza, I've been seeing you a lot from here now! I'm kinda getting used to it!" she cheerfully says it out loud without being embarrassed. But you felt happy despite all of it. "Well, you should stop stalking me. Who's the Yakuza now?" I can't stop myself when I am with her, I just can't ignore her, I crave for her. Even though this is wrong, he just couldn't stop this spilling feeling of euphoria, time flies when you're having fun they say and it's true, it didn't take long enough when she finally confessed to him.

"Sukuna, I like you. Spending time like this with you feels natural, it's as if I already know you from the very beginning...why is that?" hearing those words knocked him back to reality, history repeats itself as they say. Sukuna realizes that getting close to you only puts you in danger, having to repeat losing you the second time Sukuna cannot take that risk at all. Now his only option is to push you away, to keep things in control, to take it all back. "No, I'm sorry but I don't feel the same way as you do..." words like this left a sour taste on Sukuna's tongue, even though he didn't mean to say any of those things he still did for her sake. "I hate being with you like this, I am sorry that I don't feel the same way as you do. I hope that...you'd find someone...good enough..." Sukuna feels lost right now, just the sight of her face slowly coming into tears breaks him. It breaks him to see you like this.

But if it's for your sake, he would do anything even if he has to push you away from him. He would do anything, if history repeats itself. That is why he chose to make you hate him so that it would be easy for you to leave him, without any regrets. "I hate you...Sukuna, is my love for you not enough? Am I not enough?" tears soon shed and chests aching. "I hate that I love you this much, when you can't even love me the way that I do. I hate myself for holding onto you, my love..." but of course he can't say that now, can't he. Now, Sukuna is standing alone watching the woman he once loved disappear right from his very eyes, again.

"I would never want to see you slowly die in my arms again, I'll hate love until the very end for not letting us to be together in this life...maybe in another life..."

One harsh argument I agree with is that AFO had the chance to kill many more heroes.

Not saying I want them dead but don’t you think after all the hype they gave AFO as being this untouchable horrific monster that destroyed cities and islands in seconds, you’d expected more casualties. I just don’t believe it’s within his nature to just let them be, and this happens throughout the series where every time he has an obvious chance to kill someone, he doesn’t. During the war arc those who were killed weren’t even by him and most of the people he murdered happens offscreen or is said in passing. There isn’t a significant one that stands out, say for Bakugo who literally survived. He couldn’t even kill Nagant or Aoyama for betraying him. It’s kinda underwhelming and makes it seem like his whole aura is overhyped when he can’t manage to get rid of a few characters.

I guess the vestiges count but that was years before the main story - I wish we could have seen that psychopathic murderous side of him, because the way he kills people is only cuz they are in his way and useless, not because he does it for the sake of enjoying it.

Yeah, it feels weird especially when in the last war arc we see AFO go all out with these powerful quirks and somehow no one died. This isn't just an AFO problem, but one with the villains as a whole haha. The only kills AFO was able to get were Stain and Machia. Even then the narrative brushes over their deaths after AFO makes the killing blow and we never see them or hear about them again.

I'm fine with him not killing tons of major characters as I don't think Hori would ever go the route of having a lot of his hero characters die. Yet you would think he would've killed a lot of background characters with all the destruction he caused in the last war, but no. I think more heroes died in the last war than one. I don't even think Tomura himself got a kill so its not just an AFO problem.

I like AFO's role as a character in the story, but there are times where I feel Hori tells us more about how influential and dangerous and vicious he was than he actually shows us. But idk I'm just glad he had a good conclusion in the end so this aspect doesn't bother me too much. Mainly annoying to discuss when you encounter the people who say he's a lame villain.

"because the way he kills people is only cuz they are in his way and useless, not because he does it for the sake of enjoying it" - also strongly agree with this, there's a tendency for some people to characterize him as someone who kills just for the heck of it, but that's not case with him. He just wants to eliminate obstacles he doesn't take pleasure from the act of killing itself.

but IDK its not like Flapjack's death was actually necessary to Hunter breaking free of Belos since he already did that due to him being hurt

sure the self sacrifice is sweet and all but it does kinda just feel like angst for the sake of it for Hunter's character

when the episode seemingly did tie up his arc in a good way at first showing him moving on from Belos and be happy throughout the episode

only to have his old abuser show up and still try to control him and use him one last time

only for Hunter to actually stand up to him and break their tie for good which he didn't actually do when he left the coven before

so this would have been a great episode to end Hunter's Arc like so many claim it did

if they then didn't have Flap's death leaving a sour spot and seemingly setting up more story for Hunter only to not really do much with it

sure he was upset for a few scenes but I'm sorry I don't feel that alone justifies this writing decision especially when it just ruins what could have been a good ending to Hunter Breaking free from his abusive parent.

by just kinda not letting the story between them die there and instead having the relationship end on Belos Delivering a crushing cruel blow on his victim and then the show never really paying it off

since this is Hunter and Belos's last interaction so instead of their relationship ending on an empowering nice note for Hunter it ends on a cruel one.

this is why I was disappointed with the lack of a final interaction between them in the finale prior to Belos's death, to be clear I don't think Hunter should have killed him or even witnessed his death

but I do feel not having a final interaction between them Just makes Flapjacks death more cruel tbh

as that is the canonical ending to Hunter's Relationship with his abuser and its a sour one tbh.

So it does just end up feeling like Hunter angst just for the sake of it.

IDK I just don't really like Flapjacks death the more I've thought about it over time I've seen a ton of people talking about its narrative purpose and whatnot so I understand people's reasons for believing it was the Right story choice

and Hell I ain't necessarily saying it objectively wasn't

Honestly everything about this is a mess. I've only read a few pages from this arc but Tim quitting being Robin was a really difficult decision and Bruce's response was to give the job to Tim's sort-of-ex girlfriend and then treat her like crap. I believe it's canonically cause she reminded him too much of Jason, but that might just be the fandom's reading of the subtext; either way, if the shoe fits...

8. Telling Damian if he was there, Alfred wouldn't have died

What the FUCK, Bruce, that is your SON. COMFORT HIM FOR THE LOSS OF HIS GRANDFATHER

7. Robin!Tim in general

Listen intentional or not Tim is written as a character that has very much internalized needing to be useful being more important than anything else. His parents simply prioritize work over him point blank - his dad doesn't even remember his birthday, for God's sake - and Bruce simply like. Does not help with this. If anything he takes advantage of it. Tim needs to be loved unconditionally, like, STAT, like, that would fix 70% of his identity issues kinda STAT, and I'm not sure he's ever felt that with Bruce

6. Free space: any time he's hit one of his children that I don't know about

I once reblogged a post that detailed every time he hit Dick but that's long gone into the ether now, I can't find it. Anyway there's no excuse to hit your child. Don't fucking do it. They shouldn't hit you, either, doesn't make it ok for you to do if they've done it fyi. Batman can do non violent solutions, we know this, so fucking use those on your children.

5. Reviving the joker

I believe Dick isn't necessarily mad about not having murdered a man basically in cold blood, but I am. What the fuck, Bruce. we know that this guy doesn't get all protective over anyone but his friends are a little exception

he probably doesn't show how much he cares, well... not in a normal way; he prob just tells you things like: "YOU WANT TO DIE?! DON'T DO THAT", "don't get in trouble you're slowing me down", "you're so reckless for fucks sake!" or for better he'll give you the "you good?" look, nothing more nothing less

but accidents happened right? and they come along with unexpected reactions

It's been a day since Bakugou and Midorya house arrest started, and let me tell you Bakugou was NOT having it, and his colleges talking nonstop about the harsh training that happened today made him angry for not getting to participate

Although, that wasn't the only thing that was setting him off but he couldn't pinpoint what exactly

By the end of the day, he had figured out what worked him up, his friend group was missing one extra, you. It was almost curfew and there was no sight of you and no one even dared to say your name, so he knew something was going on but didn't care enough to ask, or so he thought...

Bakugou was in the kitchen getting something to eat and when he was about to head up he saw you entering the common room, mumbling something's he could quite understand

"Next time I'll get him" You mumbled entering the common room, gazing at the aching bruises that recovery girl couldn't heal "Seriously, i can't let him walk over me like that!"

Limping up to your dorm you heard a voice behind you "Why the fuck you're here so late?"

You turned startled to see Bakugou who was checking you up and down, he looked more pissed off than usual, you brushed it off by him being pissy for being excluded from training

"Ha, worrying about me now blasty? I'm flattered" you snarkily remarked, giving a checky grin, and turned to get back to your room, unknown to you, Bakugou wasn't having any of your bullishit and was determined to know what really happened, he didn't worry pondered about this all day to not get the response he needs

Going upstairs you misstepped with your injured foot but your friend grabbed your wrist giving you support, Bakugou didn't notice before that not only your foot was injured but your whole figure had bruises and that made his jaw clench "What the hell?" he muttered, he was inspecting every little bruise he could find, and tou were very much confused 'Where did this reaction came from?'

This weren't regular injuries, he knew you were kinda reckless but not enough to get hurt this much, than it clicked... someone did this, what happened in seconds seemed like an eternity for both parts, mostly for you who was just being stared at by really angry eyes

"Who did this?" those words left his mouth sharper then a knife, startling you "What?" and his intense grip on your aching wrist wasn't helping it thw intensity of the situation, "Who did this to you?" you couldn't comprehend why he was pressing so much about this, like he cared... nah, not happening

For the first time you saw Bakugou acting that way towards anyone, he looked genuinely concerned in his own way of course but still, it was difficult to comprehend the situation at hand but there was no way of lying to him now.

"It was just something in training, no biggie" you could feel his harsh grip slip off and his fingers slightly brush over some of your wounds, he probably didn't notice what he was doing "It's not that bad now either way" you spoke softly intrigued at the fingers that inspected the wounds, it was impossible to look away, this probably the first and only time you would see the Bakugou showing this kind of... affection??

He snickered at you noticing his actions that totally didn't match his thoughts about beating the bitch who messed with one of his friends, and his overall personally, "I asked who beat you up, not when" he contested back to himself, arms crossed and everything

"It was just that dickhead Monoma, he just kept going even when i was so dizzy that i was considered out already" sighing you told him what he wanted to know but upon seeing his face after processing this information you gave a second thought if you really should've told him that

You frantically started waving your hands in front of his face "Woa, Blasty hold your horses!" now pointing a finger directly at him "I see that look! he probably didn't notice i was a bit- a lot actually off!" now his attention was directed towards you, "HUH?! Didn't you just heard what you told me?!" from his face you knew that he was so back

"He's not fucking deaf or blind is he!? He might as well be the next time i see that 1B scum I—" the explosive monologue was interrupted with laughter, your's to be exact

He was just angrily gesticulating everything that you just couldn't help it "Pfft, you're funny sometimes Blasty i gotta admit, i even though you cared there for a second"

It dark by now but if you looked at the right angle you could even say Bakugou was flustered, but that didn't last long "Shut it, it's not that i care for you specifically, it's just that anything those extras do pisses me the hell off!" he was silenced by your unexpected response

"Sure you don't, but I'm not letting you take the credit from me for beating him after this! I'm very much capable even beat up" you smiled smugly to get on his nerves, but he looked at you dumbfounded, the thing is that he knew you were capable of getting Monoma back the ridiculous part was that you thought this was his point in all of this, call you weak and incapable

"Tch, of course I won't! You can do your job yourself, that doesn't make me want to explode him any less" it was your turn to stare at him "You're strong, you can take care of yourself" heat went straight at your face, making your cheeks red, you never imagined Bakugou could praise someone "Besides, when you're not is this state you can almost get to my level if you weren't this reckless anyway"

He walked up the stairs and looked back, upon seeing your reaction he snickerd and gave his usual grin, "Listen, extra, don't let that get to your head tho" you felt embarrassed reacting this way to something so bro-like from Bakugou of all people "Like that would happen haha" you started to go up again but tripped

Bakugou laughed but it was night and dark so it was difficult to see, and because you were hurt he felt in the mood to help out so he went down to help you "Be careful, you can't fight getting more injuries." you just snickered in agreement, jocking along "I'm serious, don't get hurt like this again"

BONUS:he prob helped you to your dorm so you, quote, "Don't wake anybody up by falling"

The thing about Isaac's "character arc" in the show is: would you really be able to tell that he's changed if he stopped babbling his mouth about it?

Like how different are his actions really? Because if you need your character to spell out repeatedly "I have gone through character development " then chances are that said development doesn't reflect that well on the actual screen

Because apart from no longer wanting to kill Hector...he kinda still mostly acts the same?

Isaac asking how Hector is doing without a finger is unironically the only example of genuine growth he has shown. In the past he wouldn't have given a single shit, he always spoke to Hector and about Hector with disdain and was all "huehuehue we can't be friends because we'll die anyway", so him showing concern unprompted is big for him. (and I want to remind everyone that Lenore, the woman supposedly in love with Hector, did nothing of that. Her only reaction to Hector cutting his finger was disgust and dismay, not worry that he might bleed to death or regret that he had to mutilate himself because of her actions. But tell me more about her character development!)

Isaac certainly changed attitude between S3 and S4. In S3 he was mostly angry and sneering, in S4 he's all zen and content and wise. As I said other times, though, the most substantial change in his character was that he finds "better" reasons to kill people. Before, he killed everyone who was slightly rude to him, because making demons out of them was more convenient than finding another way around, because humans bad or something. Now, he kills people for the sake of "improving" the world, so the magician is fair game because he enslaved a village, Carmilla is fair game because she's insane, and the mercenaries who happened to be in the castle are fair game because they're in the way.

When you think about it, he's still killing people for the sake of "purifying" the world, like he said he wanted to do in S2. Him deciding he wants to build a better world is conceptually not very different from his original plan of wanting to eradicate humanity because only without humanity the world can be full of love. He's just more selective about his victims. And he's doing not for Dracula's sake anymore, but for the sake of himself and feeling good about his actions. He says so! He enjoys feeling like the hand rather than the knife! That's his change! This big character development touted by many as the best of all time is just this dude deciding he wants to do things for himself! Which works, absolutely (insert here Hector's speech about not wanting to be a pawn in Dracula's plan because he's a human being), but I'm not impressed with how it was portrayed here. Because accepting his "change" from someone who would murder people at the drop of a hat to someone who murders for "heroic" reasons, or rather someone who killed out of hatred to someone who focuses on his own happiness and feeling of satisfaction, hinges entirely on you believing Isaac deserves to be happy simply for who he is, because he suffered enough in his childhood, because he's "cool" as this super badass fighter. I don't, he did nothing to earn my sympathies, and the more the story sucks him off at the expense of everyone else who were beaten down out of literary sadism, the less I care about the narrative's favorite receiving yet another prize on a silver platter.

As I said other times, "I want to live." yeah and i'm sure the guards whose corpses you defiled wanted to live too, but you're still using the Night Creatures you made out of them as convenient tools :)

And having the show tell us no less than three times that he has changed is certainly a failure of writing, yes, not to mention a lack of faith in the viewers' intelligence and its own skills to convey a concept. So, business as usual for the show!

I hate assassination classroom so I've been redesigning it

(That's my Ao3 which has all of my Karma x reader fics). Also TW! I have photos of my drawings in here and my phone quality is soooooo bad.

Don't get me wrong, I've been obsessing over assassination classroom since September 2020 (4 years). But like... the writing is so bad! Like Yusei Matsui, you had some very good ideas and concepts, but you were so bad at communicating them. It has taken over 3 years of analysis to understand even basic ideas

Like your main character, Shiota Nagisa is kinda badly written. His talent isn't bloodlust, it's deception. He appears weak and fragile but is actually a violent killer. He's observant but unnoticeable, so he fades into the background. His character arc is supposed to be finding himself, his way, and his self confidence.

Oh and there are so many 'jokes' made that aren't funny or things that are overlooked like I don't think there is a single good parent in that show except Karasuma. I mean Miss Bitch kissing the students isn't okay, the feminising Nagisa jokes aren't funny and honestly, I don't even like Korosensei anymore. Also Terasaka told Nagisa to kill himself and we never came back to it (or the actual suicide itself).

I mean sure, Korosensei does a lot for those kids, but he just comes off as more of a 'fun' teacher that plays games in class and is always there to talk to but he just seems unprofessional. I mean he's a goddamn mass murderer for god's sake. His backstory took ages for me to understand. Like wah wah, he has to die, cool story bro. I get a backstory every anime (or episode if your demon slayer) so I have no sympathy. But I guess I am a 'greater good' lover so whatever.

Also don't even think to bring up Karma. I mean my username is Karmas-wife, so I am not just his defender, I'm his lawyer. The civil war arc is so out of character for him and so is him teasing Nagisa about being girly after finding about his mum. Sure he might seem like an asshole, but that's the mask, that's what he wants you to think. But he's kind and protective, he's not egotistical. He defends his classmates and friends time and time again. I want to see so much more of him. His anger, fighting prowess, leadership, vulnerability and healing.

Also, the deuteragonist should be Sugino, not Karma. Sugino is Nagisa's best friend, he's literally attached to Nagisa's side, and if I were to ask Nagisa who his best friend was, he would say Sugino. I kinda don't like him because he wouldn't like Karma but I understand that's a bias.

So all of this has made me want need to rewrite assassination classroom. I mean there's a whole lot of angst in the themes that just doesn't translate. Honestly, the show probably would be more memorable and of better quality if it was 3 seasons.

So here are some of my redesigns of characters

Protagonist: Shiota Nagisa

He starts off seemingly timid, quite and oblivious. To try and make up for his insecurity of being useless, Nagisa takes notes of Korosenei's weaknesses, attempts that work, strengths of his classmates and possible future attempts (in a bigger book). He's surprisingly calm under pressure, like when executing assassination attempts. Scarily so. This initially doesn't seem very scary until it combines with his hidden bloodlust. He enjoys the dominance that killing someone provides. Little bit by bit, the little moments of scariness begin to bleed through. Until Kayano shows Nagisa how to conceal himself better, making himself scarier. He wishes for the confidence that Sugino has. Used to be friends with Karma, but now Nagisa really only asks Karma for help because he's kind afraid of Karma. He originally thinks he should be an assassin because it's 'the only thing he's good at' until he starts teaching. The he realises he likes helping people grow more. Also, his talent is deception/ disguising himself, not bloodlust.

Deuteragonist/ Best Friend: Tomohito Sugino

The common sense/ brain cell holder (the only normal person in 3-E). Dad friend who feels very concerned for Nagisa and (rightfully) weary of Karma. Doesn't really see a lot that goes on but is very honest and down to earth (good contrast for airheaded Nagisa). Although he isn't very muscly, he is strong and courageous, like a classic hero. Can be quite simple. Has a crush on Kazaki, likes basketball/ sports and the ten million yen bounty.

Main love interest/ main girl: Kaede Kayano Akari Yukimura

After losing her sister, she infiltrates the E-Calss under a fake name. She eggerates her love of pudding and pretends to be a bubbly airhead. She befriends Nagisa to hide herself then helps him find himself to do this. Later, she reveals herself and after her unsuccessful assassination attempt, she reintroduces herself. The classmates get to know the real her: more mature, determined, fierce, serious but still social and more aware of people than they though. She gains a crush on Nagisa for his steadiness and his emotional intelligence (and kissing ability).

Classmate/ Ex-Friend: Karma Akabane

Used to be friends with Nagisa but got weary of his dark side. An aggressive/ intimidating fighter with a bad reputation of getting into fights (with people that deserved it) like his fight (with a bully) that put him in the E-Class. Doesn't often interact with his classmates as he scares them. He doesn't see any reason to care about grades, them, or himself). Has issues with authority (after betrayal from teacher and being abandoned by parents). Learns to care and put effort into things after being adopted cared for by Karasuma. This makes him go from a bossy shadow to a decisive leader and gives him awareness of others.

Secondary Love interest: Rio Nakamura

Popular jokester who knows (and tells) all the gossip. Similar to Miss Bitch: confident, snarky, headstrong and attention-seeking. Likes Nagisa because he doesn't stand up to her so is 'easy to control.' She loses interest when he does eventually stand up to her. Smarter than she lets on and doesn't want to tell the class to keep her popularity. When she shows how smart she actually is, she loses friends and forces them to come back.

Classmate /Class Clown: Maehara Hiroto

Childish class clown that lives off the words 'no homo' and laughs at fart jokes. Isogai's best friend. He always has a girlfriend and in the very short time in between them he's super depressed because he's scared of being alone. Laughs to hide the pain. Charismatic, attractive and surprisingly loyal. Notices the little things. Romantic and funny so the girls are all over him but he's just a teeny bit afraid of commitment.

Classmate: Manami Okuda

Chemistry girly. Likes easy observations, formulae, and studies of things/ chemicals/ matter. Words/ people are too complicated and she's very unaware of double/ hidden meanings of things due to being very solitary. After being taken advantage of by friends, she gives up on trying. Then she meets Kayano and Kanzaki who work around it. Then Karma and Korosensei teach her how to understand people and why it's important, making her better at communication. Very blunt and straightforward. Horrible liar/ actress.

Classmate/ Bully: Ryoma Terasaka

Bully that uses his strength as power over others/ gets others to do his dirty work. After it doesn't work and he drops to the E-Class, then is put down by his friends for it and sees the effect on Nagisa and the class, he grows up and starts to take responsibility for his actions. Then, he starts listening to others and following their lead. The class might joke about him being a dumbass (which he is) but he does a lot of growing and learns to genuinely care for others, rather than hurt them. Also has common sense but no other smarts.

Parasprites 101 --the good, the bad and the chewy

So you want to own parasprites? Or are you just morbidly curious about how I manage to keep a home and a fridge full of food with two parasprites? Either way, I am willing to share my secrets!

Parasprites are known for their voracious appetites and their explosive breeder status--they vomit up new parasprites to reproduce! Due to both of these factors, parasprites are technically not insects, if the cephalothorax and four unsegmented legs didn't tip you off. They function similarly though. They have fragile wings, big, segmented eyes, and an exoskeleton. Parasprites are pretty big, especially the older ones. Most parasprites plagues are due to younger parasprites. Older parasprites know when they're full. When they're super-duper young, they don't really have the ability to regulate their eating habits. They don't know when to stop. You know how mosquitoes will sometimes explode themselves by drinking too much blood? Yeah, it's kinda like that...

Parasprites are very active creatures, so they eat more than your average dog or cat to compensate for that. Parasprites don't like staying in one place. They're kinda like puppies, with their energy and their affectionate-ness. Dogs don't have such an awful reputation, though.

What I do to curb their eating habits is to get them very filling food. A lot of my kitchen is dedicated to bread, bread products, applesauce, and the occasional bit of expanding foam. They do eat a lot! They get five meals per day, which may be a bit of a strain on your budget, but it's not a problem if you're like me, who lives in the Everfree Forest and hardly ever eats (I forget). Ultimately, food food is better, but they can digest non-food materials, like wood and fabric and expanding foam. They were not always like this? I think this is an evolutionary thing. When I was a filly they would only eat food.

Reproduction is the bigger issue. Croissant has reproduced once in my care, and that was during a week where we were stormed in and running low on food. A good way to keep them from reproducing (or just causing trouble in general) is by keeping them busy. Games, toys, walks, cuddling, and eating are good ways to keep their minds off of procreation. Parasprites also LOVE music--sounds in general. They seem to have an affinity for big band music, but anything will do. They will dance and bounce and chirp. It is so cute.

Parasprites are VERY affectionate. If you want a pet that will cuddle, get a parasprite. I can hardly go five minutes without being pestered for pets or a little kiss. It's a lot less annoying than it sounds.

Parasprites, like most creatures, die eventually. Croissant is getting there. They sleep a lot more, reproduce less, and have a mildly smaller appetite. I worry that Baguette will freak out. I know I will.

I love dispelling myths about cute little creatures that get a bad rap for...doing the things they need to to survive. Would you yell at a dog for barking? Would you lecture a spider for making webs?
