Y'know I didn't know how we'd get a 2010s creepypasta resurgence but I wasn't expecting it to be in the form of Friday Night Funkin' mods
#musings#like i knew sonic.exe was still around because at this point he's evolved into this weird thing that exists beyond the original story#and people are making actually good shit with him now#but all the classics are being brought back into relevance within this niche sphere of content#as far as i know it's primarily kids who are into it#good for them tbh i'm glad they get a share in my own memories of the internet#but it's WEIRD#personally i preferred stuff like the mario 64 iceberg#where instead of bringing back the old stuff people make new stuff in a similar style that fits better with modern standards#like most video game creepypastas are bad#but they were bad in execution rather than concept#i think we can make better ones now#though i do admit i have a fondness for some of the better pokemon ones because those are kinda fun#and because i'm just biased#but lemme tell you it was strange to find out there's a lost silver remake and see the youtube comments on it are about fnf#probably better kids' horror than fnaf at this point lol
