ngl, with my bust size and the limits of my location & finances i'm thinking it may be difficult to keep my nips and get good top surgery results. obviously smth to discuss with the actual surgeon. but my actual point here is that ive been looking at the results of people who had 'bad' surgeries (visually, not nerve damage & such) and they look kinda dope. like, realistically i doubt i'll achieve a cis-passing look shirtless, nice to know that even if i end up with 'bad' results it'll still be something i personally find cool & attractive.

theres an unintentionally funny non-bad side effect my brain experiences from having to take specific medications to be able to fall asleep at night and that side effect is that, because i have to knock my adhd off the rails Crazy Train By Ozzy Osbourne brain out to get it to shut up enough for me to try to focus on calming routines/learned skills for falling asleep, there is usually a point where im physically in bed but have not started preparing for sleep yet, and because i am literally always in a state of constant panic and stress and physical pain during the day, sometimes i just take a few mins to sit and appreciate the sensation of my brain slowly quieting its naturally loud background noise.

and sometimes i also happen to be partaking in like. one activity like scrolling through tags for things/people/media that i enjoy like i was last night. and i had seen a pic that immediately made me think of one of my ocs, Paige, who is mostly like 1960s-1980s in the main story stuff i've written/created for her over the years, and put it in my oc inspiration tag for her when i reblogged it, and then my immediate next thought was 'OH that reminds me i wanted to save some photos of Marianne Faithfull (cool as hell rock star and actress who was very active in her career/in the public eye in those same eras my character's main story takes place in) as art and writing inspiration reference for Paige since they look pretty visually similar thru that time span and i keep forgetting to do that'. so the idea was that like. i was gonna save maybe 5 photos and that would let Future Me know that i had that thought and could look up more reference photos later at some point.

but because this was middle of the night sleepy chill Mariska. the train of thought de-railed immediately. so. long story short, woke up today and opened my camera roll to find pages upon pages of like every fuckin photo that has been published of this woman in my camera roll

4t2 Book Nook Kit

Here's the conversion I wanted to make for so long but was too afraid of all the modular items. Until I felt I had enough knowledge and was ready.

This set includes all objects from the kit, a set of wallpapers (panels), two default replacement files (optional) for Maxis book sculptures - Stack Of Books and Strength Of Humanity Book Ends and a collection file. @lordcrumps' shadow file is necessary for the shadows to work correctly, it's included but you can delete it if you have it already. Recolors are merged with meshes.

All book sculptures function as bookcases (like in this set), the rug is one tile only but with auto expanded footprint (so only one obj). The coffee table has slots on the surface and on the ends, near deco books. Stacked books are a bookcase too but also have one slot to put anything on it or stack the same object over to create a book tower. Standard bookcases and book shelves all have slots, bookcase shelves go on walls only (otherwise use moveobjects cheat) and are shiftable to create a modular look. Seams were smoothed where necessary and as always with my objects, no shine or very reasonable (like on glass surfaces). Because all parts are meant to be modular and take up the whole wall when combined, they will clip into ceilings, so be aware of that when taking pics ;)

If you decide to keep the default replacement files for the two book sculptures, i highly recommend also getting this mod ("functional book sculptures") by @midgethetree to make them functional.

I am finally back with a new video where I am showing you all the mods I use in my functional high school, trying new mods, experimenting with different gameplay ideas and even attempting to edit mods in simpe like an elite hacker. My goal is to have a high school lot that is mostly autonomous and doesn't need too much micromanaging. It's a big rar, a big lot with lots of stuff. But if your computer can't handle tons of clutter, I hopefully made it easy for you to sort stuff out. In the rar you will find three folders along with the sims2pack: -build cc -cc -maxis recolors Each folder has a sub-folder for any required master meshes so be sure you grab those if you are picking and choosing. Inside the cc folder there is a subfolder called "clutter." If you can't handle tons of clutter just don't include that folder. If you want the school just like how I have it then just put all of the included folders in your game. If there's one or two things I missed plz forgive me bc packaging this lot was an absolute nightmare. huge thank you to everyone who's beautiful cc i used <3

the dad erik is a construction worker and he’s into all the outdoorsy stuff. he goes fishing a lot. he has the goofball trait and tries to be “the cool dad.” because in my head the parents were in the grunge/alternative scene when they were younger

For sale: These three lmao. Asking $15+shipping for Buttercup and the Wicked Witch and $10+shipping for Hello Nurse, though I'm willing to haggle.

Buttercup is a customized EAH doll I repainted. She has a brushed yarn wig, custom outfit and face up. I'm just not super attached to this custom, though I think I did a decent job for my skill level at the time.

The Wicked Witch I modified to have jointed arms. She will come with her dress, which you can see sitting at her feet in the pic. I just wanted to show off the arm mods. I was using the blue skirt as a petticoat, and it'll also come with her. She has a weird sort of mottling to her plastic, but she was like that when I got her. Her arms sometimes want to pop out, as the elbow pegs on them are small, but it was the only green arms I could get in the right size. :P She's a cool doll, but again, I'm just not that attached. I think someone else could enjoy her more.

Hello Nurse was a more recent custom, but she's admittedly not my best work. She's been rerooted with yellow saran. Her neck broke at one point, and I tried to fix it, but unfortunately the seam where I did is VERY visible. Her hips and waist are also a bit floppy, as is typical of the barbie gymnast body over time.

Thinking abt that time I posted on r/growyourtdick abt how I take better dick pics. The post was educational, focused on discussing camera angles and how to manipulate your junk to get it to look bigger. All cool whatever, a few ppl thanking me for the tips they hadn't thought of

One comment asks me how long I've been on t. I ask what it has to do with the post. "I was just curious?" I get fifteen. Fifteen downvotes. Fifteen. They get 30 for their curiosity.

Which means at least sixteen perisex trans people feel they're entitled to strangers medical information and 30 just as "curious" as cis people are to them when they demand to know the same information.

There were some other weird comments made, one being incredibly victim blaming, but were thankfully taken down by mods but I stg y'all don't view a lot of us as people. I'm just some decoration to you, check the manual for my specs and stats....

The reason I hadn't answered it was bc of how much backlash or guilt tripping I get when I do. If I answer, they say they'll cry/how upsetting it is, or I'm lying. If I don't, I get ostracized. There's no winning, my options are either just completely ignore the comments (which I get a lot of) or just not post at all. I've taken to the latter recently.

Besides how others react to my response, it also doesn't make me feel great in general. It sucks being reminded it's a medication I have to take and not something I just have, it's a bit dysphoria inducing I think. Or how I'm just treated as a circus freak overall, some anomaly

I guess we can consider this something of a mini world overview, which is something I want to get back into doing one of these days.

This is Qornenthus, an alien world by @risastorm. So far as I can tell, it's only available on their Exchange account, not on their Tumblr blog, for whatever reason. It's a world that I've had on my radar for a long time, wanting to create an alien society on it. So, I've decided to have a stab at it, to create a homeworld for these guys, whom I'm considering to be sort of mostly-post-technology. Not in a disastrous/apocalyptic way but rather as a society that mutually agreed to screw it all and "return to monke" -- Or in their case, "return to archosaur-ish" -- while still retaining some technology and such.

Anyway, I haven't really done any kind of "technical" building in Sims games since my early, pre-sharing-on-the-internet days of playing TS2 back in the mid-aughts, mostly because I generally don't enjoy playing the resulting kind of lots. They tend to be more complex and multi-level than I like to play. But for some reason, I've been itching to do some more "technical" building, and want to build something here. It will involve large lots spanning peaks, valleys, and bodies of water, with some elevated architecture, maybe some treehouses, so it's going to involve some terraforming, both temporary and permanent, if I can get it to work like I want at all. So before I tear things up, I thought I'd try out some lighting mods and take some "before" pics, with no Reshade or any image editing.

The lighting I landed on is Brntwaffles's Dystopian lighting, which is what's shown in the pictures on this post, though I edited the mod to make the moon unnecessarily enormous. It has the "feel" I want for these aliens and, as a bonus, it makes the water look suitably swampy, though I'll be adding fog emitters and more plants to make it more so. Then I'll need a suitable rainy/stormy alien Tempest preset. Oh! I should also mention that I have defaults for the game's "fantasy" trees, to make them a bit less fantasy-looking. For some reason, it lops off the heads of the mushroom trees; I can't remember if that's what it's supposed to do. LOL

Anyway, here are some more pictures because I took a lot of them at various times of day and in various conditions…

I'm calling this an "overview," but really there's not a lot to say about the world. It's extremely cool-looking, if you like alien-swamp sorts of environments, as you can see in the pics. But, it has no roads, no lots, and no flat building areas at all, anywhere, so if you want to use it, you have to place lots in Edit Town. Lots will place just about anywhere and, as far I saw, sims can route pretty much everywhere, too. Once you get lots placed, you'll need to do some more technical building for yourself because downloaded pre-built lots aren't going to fly here.

The world does have lots of spawners, especially insect and rock ones, except that it has no fish spawners at all, which is kind of funny given the amount of water. It doesn't have spawners from Island Paradise or Into the Future, either, but everything else is there. I'm not really sure what EPs it's going to need, and anything it's going to need is going to be vegetation-related because there's literally nothing else here. I do know that those bamboo trees come with World Adventures, and I'm pretty sure the rainbow eucalyptus trees come with Pets and the banana trees and alocasia come with Island Paradise. So there's that.

And that's about all there is to say, really. The rest, as they say, is silence pictures.

Oh! The one and only thing that I'm not fond of in the world is that it has a lot of rainbow spawners. And by "a lot" I mean a riotously excessive amount.

That's not even all of them. Thankfully, they aren't there all the time.

So yeah! Cool world. I'm looking forward to doing some work on it. If I'm at all successful at doing what I want to do with it, I will, of course, share pics.

FFXIV Housing Builds

Talking to a pal feeling bummed about their housing decorating, and it's one I hear a lot, that they aren't "good at it" and compare themselves to the builders showing off their fancy and cozy and très chic builds and...

Look. We all know the trouble with Gpose, right? Where PC players with a hundred mods and ReShade and Anamnesis/Ktisis and maybe some post-processing work (and also photography/artist skills/knowledge) take some killer screenshots, and anyone with a console--or even other PC players--who don't have or know how (yet) to use all those tools, wail and gnash their teeth about how their (perfectly glamoured, nicely composed, decently lit, imaginative situations) screenshots just don't compare?

Same things with housing.

A lot of those super fancy builds? They're using half to a quarter of the available space. They're blocking off entire floors, and making camera angles for character screenshots nearly impossible by lowering the ceilings and closing in the walls. They're using a dozen slots to make a unique bed that may be functional.

It's aesthetics. It's playing puzzles. It's seeing what they can do, and it's pretty to look at, and cool to figure out, and neat for ideas...

But it's also not a requirement. It's not workable for every player or their FC. Some are! But some are also just experiments, or art installations.

I have a couple pals who are really into the fancy builds, who even do commissions for their work. We have a decorator lizard in our FC who needs the enrichment, but a requirement I have for the FC spaces are that they have to use the whole space. It has to be functional. It has to fit multiple members of the FC when they want to hang out, maybe take screenshots for storylines and RP and such. Can we fit a couple dozen people the rare times we host events?

Does that mean not a lot of random clutter, a lot of open space? Sure! But I can swing my camera around, fit multiple Roegadyn in a shot, and still have a nice looking, homey space that gets across the idea of what our FC is about. In my personal apartments and house, they're spaces that my characters would live in, and there's room for them and for friends to move around, hang out, take pics together.

Take inspiration from the housing builders! Admire their art and the work they put in, the puzzles they create when making a toaster oven out of six disparate housing items I'd never consider using that way holy cow!

But just like one shouldn't get hung up on the ultra-modded and post-processed screenshots, don't get hung up on the super fancy designer artisanal housing builds. It's a different aspect of the game, and often for different purposes.

Use the Preview Indoor/Outdoor Furnishings options in the housing menu to see what's available, use the websites that list housing items, fiddle around, mix and match, and make something fun that suits your screenshot needs and/or your character's idea of personal space. I promise you; you're doing just fine with your apartment/FC room/house if you're making it for you, even if it takes time to figure it out.

just out of curiosity, what does birdie look like in-game if you don't mind sharing? and is there anything about how you imagine her that you couldn't capture in game, that maybe you'd try to change/add if you had access to mods for it? especially since iirc you said she was part-siren!

I don't mind at all! Here's a pic of her and the gang (that's the header for my writing blog)! This is them listening to a Balduran statue while on the Ansur quest. Usually Astarion is also wearing a circlet and Shadowheart has a druidic hood, but the cut scenes like to glitch them out lol

Birdie really started as a self-insert character, so I did try to make her look like me a bit; she has short curly brown hair and blue eyes. But that's really where the similarities stop, as she's a half elf and has a preprogrammed face/body.

I forget the name of the armor she's wearing here, but my favorite dyes for her are Lavender (which is more magenta and blue) and Ocean (her camp outfit is currently using the ocean dye which is basically teal and brown).

As I've said before, she's based on my first DND character whose art looks like this (which was originated by someone named Dantrelium on Reddit):

I always imagined the blue accents in this being red though, so it's interesting that my Birdie in the game ended up having a blue AND red-ish color scheme :)

I'm not entirely sure what I'd change about her since I've gotten so used to the way she looks, so in my mind that's just her canon appearance. Maybe some sort of face mod where I could elongate some features (like her nose), but I'm pretty pleased with how she looks and would feel weird going in this late and changing things.

Something that IS canon to my DND character that would be fun in-game would be that she has scales on her thighs that are left over from being a siren/half-siren. It would be cool to be able to show those off (I know there are scales that can be added to the face, but I didn't think those really suited her). Because of that, maybe I'd opt for mods that allow for shorter outfits? Not that Birdie would want to show off her scales, but it would be nice to have the option should she want to!

But yeah, that's my lady! I wish I had more pics/art of her but I'm not a skilled artist and it's been incredibly tough for me to get footage and photos from my PS5 onto my phone/computer. I've been able to download stuff onto a USB which allowed me to make this gifset, but the quality and colors are sooooooo bad. Maybe someday I'll have some more high quality images, but for now this is what I'm rocking with :)

I'm really excited to share a sneak peek at the magazine spread since I've been talking about it for a while now. So far it's mostly layout and narrowing down the photo selection, just barely started any writing for the magazine itself, but it's generating new ideas for their story after the magazine is released. Finally, the angst I crave.

In modding news...

I've been working on modernizing my old recolors of the in-game cutoff vest/hoodie (yes, that hoodie). It's been one of my favorite pieces of clothing since my PS4 days, and was one of my earliest recolors.

Left: Gabriella, who you might know; and right: Vamika who only made an appearance or two before I lost her preset, recreated her, then failed to post more pics before I lost the HDD.

Not only is the vest getting an upgrade to ArchiveXL, I'm working on adding optional garment support; additional colors and patterns, and more refits; and, something I'm really proud of, an updated cropped mesh with matching fringe. I'll be adding the player versions as cropped options, too.

Related, this has made me finally update all my OCs for 2.0+. Gabriella was already updated but Vamika needed some help, and she also got some cool new electrifying eyes. Babygirl Travis and Antonio are also working just fine; you'll see them again soon, I'm sure.

Cyberpunk mods blablabla

Dear me I sold my soul to the devil and downloaded a bunch of mods for cp2077 (before i only had CET and skip radio song mod)

Down side: part of me is regretting it instantly because if there's a patch surely they'll all break and they were a bit of a nightmare to install compared to sims im ngl but finally figured out that some "required mods" are actually just tools, like xml injector or whatever... and a lot of these tools mods are for many others so once you've installed the main ones you don't need to worry so much, but at first this wasn't clear to me at all...you have to install mods in like five billion different paths for them to work properly and if you dont have those tool mods installed the path isn't there, so it seems like you're installing the same mod 5 times but its just the path, anyway, finally i get it

I made myself a little document to log all the mods i have to make things easier cause there's no way ill remember everything i did, plus backed up my folders first in case. Good side: another part of me is super chuffed and happy with them, I installed photomode unlocked, custom pose packs and facial expressions, unlock all outfits, equipment ex (more slots for outfits, didn't really want this but it was required to unlock outfits and it is kind of cool) which took me a while to figure out too (my clothing was clipping until i realised you set your own layers) and finally seeing v pose differently, or be able to change the outfit right in photomode, or be able to have infinite outfit slots, being able to layer the outfits more than usual, etc... it is pretty cool, this part of me kind of regrets not being brave enough to try it before i started my cosplay project or any of my other screenshots now with a bunch of my pics having the same poses and expressions, but i think its also cool i did it with a vanilla game to show that you can be creative without mods all the time. Mods are good when you grow tired of vanilla game i guess. But honestly some of the features i just think why arent they already in the game? There were some other cool photomode mods that I might try later on but for now they intimidate me a bit, i want to get used to what i've installed so far.

Overall an amazing start to the new show, so many mysteries already and im so so so exited to hear the third voice and see if its Jonah/Elias, also to find out which universe we are in and the timelines matching up with og Magnus Archives!!
