Since I'm the one with the history... obsession, my part in this masterthesis helping-issue is reconstructing how racism developed over the years. It's easy as far as the earlier centuries are the topic. Linking Antiquity and christianism, then christianism and islam, followed up by colonialism linked with christianism (which is a mess in itself), then colonialism linked with bullshit science based on christianism...to outright fascism. I probably learned more about the state of this world than I would have liked. However,... everything after WW2 is a feckin chaotic mess. I know little about what happened after WW2 in general because it never really interested me. My field of expertise ends there, and starts again somewhere around 2000 (because I do live now). Anyway I got books. 6 books. One is published by Antifa. I cannot use this for scientific research, obviously, but it's one point of view I just cannot push aside. 5 are about Neonazis in both West and East Germany, tackling exactly those years of "Reprocessing the past" that never gets spoken about. Because "Reprocessing the past" is a tad bit difficult to uphold when you invite laborers into your country and suddenly young people go apeshit and start attacking, hurting and killing said laborers with the same justifaction they adopted from their parents.
