And I've never understood Harry's relationship with any women in public. Honestly even if I take out the interactions and miserable looking pap pics, it's always the timing for him. He's dating someone, working on an album, they break up and the album is about her. And then it's rinse and repeat. It's so predictable. And maybe that's a coincidence but frankly at this point it doesn't make sense. Even if I don't count holivia, Taylor and Harry was the perfect pr for 1989 and Harry's bad boy image. It couldn't have been more perfect. Kendall and Harry honestly looked like really good friends. After watching the James Corden thing, that was just more clear. Camille, honestly I'm not going to go there. It's maybe the one relationship that sometimes makes sense but at the same time lots of Larry shit happened along with that timeline so not sure either.

I don't get how both their relationships with women is so conflicting. And sure you can blame it on larries and say we harass every one of their partners to the point that their comments are limited and they don't post enough or whatever it is. Doesn't change the planned pap pics, the "fan sightings", how it almost seems like if they were real, they're letting larries win by feeding into it and not defending their gfs. To feed into the speculation from both sides when you've got partners, I mean at that point both Louis and Harry are very manipulative people aren't they? And apparently we've come to a point of making them seem like terrible people because that's the only way all of this makes sense.

If Eleanor and Louis aren't a romantic couple, I can see them having a partnership, a friendship, an understanding. With Harry, the logistics of entering into so many relationships that are supposedly fake just seems mindboggling to me. I agree with your observations about Haylor and Hendall. I have an especially difficult time saying Harry's relationship with Camille was a stunt. But like you said, there was pretty compelling Larry evidence from that time period, too. I know this is controversial, but sometimes I think at least some of H/L's relationships with women were more or less real, even if Larry had something going on simultaneously, too.

Its hard to spend the time finding fulfilling worthwhile work for your newly minted multiple award winning client whose talent is only matched by his intelligence, charm and work ethic when your priorities include and are limited to: foisting his talentless smirking jobless unlikeable leech of a wife and their super duper straight relationship/wedding/baby/happily never after to the front of the pack at all times - relegating him to the role as the lucky SOB who gets to go places and be seen with her, calling and arranging "candid" pap pics of her doing the literal bare minimum of being a human (grocery shopping, garbage runs) so she can seem like a validated part of his life, get the attention she so desperately craves but won't actually work for, and so her little stans can squee and coo over what a badass lady she is and isn't he just so lucky to get to be with her and gosh wouldn't it be great to get to meet her because wow, using every bit of promo possible during his awards run to promote the opening of her tacky awful trashy strip bar so the promo that should have centered on him and his performance in ACS was pushed aside in favor of "their" bar, using him in ads for the stupidest shit possible but who cares about integrity when its easy money into RR's pocket AND a way to get the straight m/iarren image out there (and if RR can use that as freebie for himself, well, that's just the icing on the cake) at the same time, making sure that he got himself promo during "Royalties" and a spot in the fakest fake band ever - a more perfect metaphor for D's life you will not find: a band that includes D's manager and wife fake playing and lip syncing to a song that D wrote and sang, making sure that nearly all interviews - print and in person - mention his straightness, the little wifey, their great party, the strip bar, and now the baby and then if there's time, you can throw in some fluff about whatever project of D's this was supposed to be about in the first place, signing D up for a celeb reno show so he gets his cut from D's appearance, free reno for his house, AND 45 minutes of promo for himself as D has to twist into knots pretending that his manager is actually a real friend and great businessman without whom he wouldn't have any of the success he's had and not the lazy vulture and juvenile ridiculous jumping asshat we know he actually is, and last but most definitely not least: utterly and completely fucking up D's xmas album promo and tour. No one should be that bad at their job and be allowed to keep it. Using D's longtime and loyal fanbase as a cash register and not giving a flying fuck about them at all as he lets the tour venues do his dirty work for him by providing the cancellation notices to fans that should have come from D's team first. Still choosing the coward's way out, he put a lame generic bullshit message out about the cancellations via the text service you have to subscribe to to get, thereby ensuring only certain people would see it and it wouldn't look the actual clusterfuck it was. Oh and did I mention that while the cancellations were coming in hot and fast, he continued to push album merch on his instagram like nothing had ever happened?

I both hate and love the fact that while awful, at least the xmas debacle has removed the blinders that a lot of people had on when it comes to his team, and they're questioning the state of things in his life instead of just blindly accepting it.

I didn't even bring up the whole toxic "work fam" thing they all like to push when nothing could be further from the truth, or the way he's mangled D's SM to the point where 95% of the stuff posted is just garbage and nonsense that would never come out of D's mouth if he had control of it. They would all happily run D ragged across the every timezone if it meant money and airtime for themselves.

D's career is thanks to himself: his own hard work and talent. He got Hedwig because of his own connection with JCM. He'd already landed glee when RR came slithering into his life and his roles in ACS and Hollywood were courtesy of his existing relationship with RM. He's long since outgrown whatever it was that RR might have once done for him and if he ever wants to get back to the level he was on the precipice of in 2019, he needs to dump his worthless ass at the first available opportunity and find an actual pr firm that wants to represent him and not themselves.

"That was delicious, Ella." Kelly gave her a smile while she leaned back in her chair. 

"Thank you, Kelly." 

"You really have to give me the recipe for the lasagna and especially for that mousse au chocolat."

Henry raised his eyebrows in disbelief. "You can cook?"

Ella shared a glance with Jackson and she knew they were thinking the same. If Henry didn't know such basic things about Kelly it seemed they were really just starting to get to know each other. 

"Um,yes...well...a little."

"Really?"

"Yeah, we could cook together tomorrow, babe. Have a cosy day in bed and a homemade meal." She beamed at him and Henry gave her a forced smile. Ella was sure he was suppressing the need to roll his eyes, his facial expression gave it away to her.

"We'll see, Kell."

There was an awkward pause and Henry appeared to be somehow annoyed and not for the first time. During dinner Kelly was getting more and more handsy with him and it was obvious that Henry felt bad about it. Ella was getting the impression that he absolutely wasn't madly in love with Kelly and this was not only a great satisfaction but also a big relief and it made her even more determined to find out what Kelly was up to.

Jackson cleared his throat. "Henry, wanna see my Alfa? It's a 1961 Giulietta Sprint Speciale, quite rare."

"Oh yeah, sure." Henry got up and Kelly was about to do the same when Ella stopped her with a smile on her lips.

"Why don't we stay and have a little chat Kelly? Just the two of us without the guys?"

Kelly hesitated but then she agreed.

"Yeah. Why not."

When Jax and Henry closed the door behind them, Ella gave Kelly challenging look.

"So?"

"So what?" Kelly crossed her arms.

"Do I really have to ask? Or are you just gonna tell me how you made this happen? Looking back, your words spoken in the restrooms of Gianni's sound like a prediction."

Kelly pouted but eventually she started to speak.

"It's like I said back then. He's a good catch and I want him..."

"As your sugar daddy?" Ella raised an eyebrow, Kelly shrugged.

"Sugar daddy, boyfriend… where's the difference? Listen, Ella, if I'd known that you, his female best friend, are his date from back then I wouldn't be here tonight. I'm not looking for trouble…"

"But you are in trouble when you're trying to take advantage of my friend."

"Friend." Kelly snorted.

"Yes, friend. A close friend, a dear friend and  you're playing with him but he's not a toy."

"I like to play and usually I'm the toy." She giggled.

Ella rolled her eyes and looked at Kelly darkly. "How did you get his number in the first place?"

"If you really have to know, Gianni, the owner of...well...Gianni's...he is my ex. He's the impotent bore I told you about. He threw me out and told me to go to hell a few weeks ago after he caught me with my trousers down with one of his waiters." Kelly explained. "I remembered Henry, to be honest I had the hots for him since I saw him at the restaurant with you and you said you and him were just friends...so after Gianni broke up with me I looked up his number in the guest register, and then I called him…"

"Pretending you dialled the wrong number."

"I could hardly tell him that I stole it from what's known as the most discreet restaurant in London"

"Right. And then you started dating?"

Kelly looked at Ella with a thoughtful frown. "Are you gonna tell him all this?"

"Would you admit it's true?"

"Of course not."

"See. I'd love to tell him but I'm quite sure you would manage to make me look like a crazy, jealous bitch…"

"Oh, I would. You can be sure of that…" Kelly gave her a wicked smile.

"I just want to know what you're up to. I don't want Henry to get hurt…" Ella faked a smile.  She wanted to yell at her so badly, she wanted to force her to tell Henry the truth but she knew she had to play it nice to make her open up.

"Well, it was just booty calls at first. We just met for casual sex. Henry, he didn't want more, because he, well...nevermind. Anyway, after that pap pictures the situation has changed a little and now he's willing to give it a try. So yes, now we're dating."

"Those pics. How did that happen?"

Kelly grinned. "Let's just say a friend of mine was at the right place at the right time…"

Ella gasped. This bitch really knew how to play the game.

"Don't worry about your dear Henry, Ella." Kelly's voice was full of sarcasm now. "I like him, he's a nice and funny guy. Sure, he's a boomer and a little boring but he's great in the sheets and he's gonna learn to appreciate the mutual benefits of our relationship."

The noise of the key in the front door interrupted them. Kelly leaned in to whisper one last thing into Ella's ear. "Oh, and in case you wonder...he is really big, I mean like...really." Kelly grinned before turning away.

Ella was so incredibly frustrated when Jax and Henry entered her apartment again, she had a hard time pretending to be alright for the rest of the night. There were so many questions left, so many things she didn't understand, it drove her nuts. She decided to keep her mouth shut to prevent herself from saying something stupid and of course Henry noticed it.

"Are you okay?" He placed his hand on her arm, giving it a gentle stroke and looked at her with a frown. "You are so quiet."

Ella took his hand, giving it a quick squeeze that Henry returned with a smile. 

"I'm fine." She nodded reassuringly and enjoyed the little triumph that he got handsy with her instead of Kelly. Actually it was absolutely typical for him, he was a very tactile person, not only with Ella but with his friends in general. So it was even more surprising that he didn't like to be in close contact with his date. "I'm just a little tired. I had a tough week." She avoided looking him in the eyes. 

"Yeah, me too." Henry's lips curved up into a lopsided grin and he gave her a wink that made her heart skip a beat.

An hour later Henry and Kelly were gone and Ella and Jax were doing the dishes after Ella had put her best friend in the picture about the things Kelly had told her.

"She's lying. They're not really dating." Jax said, doing the drying up.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean they're not really a thing. Henry kinda said it when we were outside."

"Kinda? Could you be a little more precise." Ella looked at her friend with big eyes.

"Well, I asked him if they're planning on going insta-official or something with their relationship and he denied it very insistently, pointing out that they are totally not in a relationship. And I was like, yeah, but you guys are dating and he was like...not really."

"Oh wow...and?"

"And I asked what he meant and Henry said that it actually was just a sex thing -so that much is true- but after the pics in the yellow press Kelly's the one who now wants to date and he told me he's unsure if this is the right thing to do. He said he has second thoughts because it feels wrong and when I asked him why, he looked at me with those puppy dog eyes and said I think you know why, Jax, you know who's on my mind."

Ella now stared at him, mouth agape. "What did you answer?"

"I said that I very likely do know and then your neighbour Walter came and joined us and the conversation was over."

"Shit."

"Yeah." They both stayed silent for a moment. "Elsie, you know that you are the reason he doesn't want to date Kelly, don't you?" Jackson turned to her with knitted brows.

"We don't know that. Not for sure."

"Yes and we never will if you don't do something. Jesus, woman...you are this close to losing your perfect match to some creepy gold digger...will you really just stand there with your hands in your pockets and do nothing at all?"

"What can I do?" Her frustration was palpable.

"Just tell him how you feel, that you're in love with him."

Ella let out a snort. "That's not so easy."

"No, it's not, but there's no easy way out of this mess."

"Yeah." Ella took a deep breath.

"So what's the plan? You're gonna ask him to meet you tomorrow so you can tell him?"

"I can't. I have to unpack a ton of parcels with new books tomorrow. The store is a mess and it has to be tidy on Monday morning." Jax raised his eyebrows sceptically. "Really, I'm not using this as an excuse." Ella sighed with frustration.

"Okay, actually that's perfect. Ask Henry to help you and then you can declare your love for him…"

"I don't know…"

"Elsie, I'm not gonna let you chicken out of this. Pull yourself together and get the guy for fuck's sake."

Ella couldn't help but laugh. "Okay, okay. I'm going to call him first thing tomorrow morning. Fine?"

"Fine."

While Ella and Jax were drawing up a battle plan, Kelly and Henry were on their way back  to Chelsea where Kelly lived and trouble was brewing.

"Why did you have to be so distant?" Kelly asked accusingly. "You made it look like you wouldn't want to touch me."

"Yes, because I don't like it if you're all over me in front of my friends. It's rude and inappropriate. I mean, you're not my girlfriend or something it wasn't even a real date..." Henry snapped.

"Oh...really? You have touched me quite a lot in the last weeks for not being your girlfriend."

"That was different and you know it."

"Yeah, because your beloved Ella wasn't around when you fucked me. At least not physically. I bet you thought of her when you were balls deep inside of me."

"Don't even start, Kelly. I won't let you talk about Ella that way. No disrespect, okay?" His voice was tense and it was obvious that he was trying to restrain himself.

"No, of course you won't." Kelly looked out of the window with a pout. For several minutes none of them said a word but then she turned to him.

"Listen, Henry, I'm sorry. I know what she means to you and I understand that you want to keep this...us...low-key, but it's kinda hard for me when you treat me like you don't even want to be in the same room with me. Please tell me if I did something wrong and I'm never gonna do it again."

"You did nothing wrong. I just don't want to be so touchy-feely when Ella's around."

"Okay, baby, and I just want to make you happy. Happier than she ever could. I don't care about your job, your fame or your lifestyle. I like you just the way you are..." She let her hand run over his thigh, brushing it lightly over his crotch. Henry looked at her with a blank expression.

"She doesn't want you, Henry. You know that.  But I do." She purred, starting to massage his dick through his jeans and Henry couldn't help but moan and get hard under her touch.

"Kelly...I don't think I can give you what you're looking for…"

"Oh, I'm sure you can, babe. Just let me take care of you and make you forget about Ella."

The next morning Henry awoke with a jolt when his phone started to ring. He grabbed it and went to the bathroom, Kelly was lying in her bed fast asleep. He hadn't planned to spend the night with her but she had been very convincing and he had to admit the sex had worked wonders. He had been able to let off some steam and to finally get a good night's sleep. He was surprised to see that it was his agent calling. 8 am on sunday morning, this had to be urgent.

A few minutes later Henry put on his clothes before he sat down beside Kelly. He carefully placed a hand on her shoulder and started to shake her gently.

"Kelly, I have to go." 

She groaned and turned on her back, eyes still closed. "Why.." she asked sleepily.

"Nothing to worry about, just business. I'll call you later to explain."

"Okay." She yawned and patted his cheek. "Love you babe."

Henry's body stiffened. That wasn't what he wanted to hear. Not from her.

"Bye." He got up and left in a hurry, feeling like shit. This was all so terribly wrong, he wondered if it could get any worse. It was good that a little break was lying ahead of him.

Two hours later at the other end of the city, Ella took a deep breath before she called Henry. The plan was simple: call him, ask him if he was willing to help her, wait for a good opportunity and tell him about her feelings and the truth about Kelly. She was determined to make a clean sweep of this whole mess and to lay it all on the line. 

"Good morning." Henry's deep voice greeted her friendly.

"Morning, Henry. I hope I'm not interrupting something."

"No, absolutely not. It's good to hear your voice." 

He made her blush, even on the phone and she rolled her eyes at herself with a smile.

"I'm glad to hear that." She chuckled. "Listen, Hen, I wanted to ask you a favour. I have so much work to do at the shop today and I really need a helping hand, so I was wondering if you would want to help me. It's just clearing away some new books...but with you I would be much faster and we can spend some time together and talk…" Ella cleared her throat.

"Oh, Ella, I'd love to but unfortunately I can't. I have to go to L.A. I'm just packing my stuff and gonna head to the airport in an hour. I'm so sorry."

"No, don't be. It has to be important if you have to go at such short notice."

"It is. My agent called me this morning. The appointments were originally planned for next month but they were rescheduled to next week. We're gonna talk to some of the studio bosses about upcoming projects and such."

"That's great, Henry. I know you've waited for this opportunity quite a while now." She was genuinely happy for him and it made him love her even more.

"Yeah, now I just have to convince the right people to include me in the right projects." He sighed and Ella knew that under his superman surface Henry was insecure and full of self-doubt often.

"You're gonna blow them away, Henry. You're such a great actor and such a wonderful person. Everybody loves you."

Suddenly there was an awkward silence.

"Everybody?" He asked softly.

Ella was at a loss of words. It was absolutely out of the question to confess her feelings for him on the phone only hours before he had to leave the country for who knows how long. 

"Sure." She said with a strange undertone that was almost giving her away. Change the subject!  "Is Kelly going with you?"

Henry let out an amused snort. "Of course not. It's a business trip. And she's not, well...my girlfriend or something. I...I said this to Jax already, we're not even really dating, it's just…"

"Sex?"

Henry took a deep breath. "Exactly."

"Are you sure she knows that?"

"No, I'm not. She should, because that's what I keep telling her but she's somehow deaf to that sort of thing. Maybe it's a good thing we take a break now."

"How long will you be gone?"

"I'm not sure. Two weeks maybe."

"So you will be back for my birthday?" 

"I hope so."

"So do I. I'd hate to spend it without you but if you can't make it, we can easily take a rain check and celebrate when you're back."

"A party for just the two of us? Sounds even better than joining your actual party." Ella was able to hear the smirk on his pretty lips. 

"Oh shut up." Ella laughed out loud. She lowered her voice then, sounding serious all of the sudden. "I'm going to miss you, Henry. A lot. Just come back soon safe and sound, okay?"

"I will. As soon as possible and in one piece. I promise, baby."

Hi love! Hope you’re doing well :’)

This is more of a rant…I had to tell someone (Apologies in advance if it’s unwarranted for). So obviously we’ve been seeing those ridiculous pap pics of Holivia. I’m super new to the fandom, so I haven’t seen Yatchgate 1.0 live which is why this affected me a lot more and left me seething mad at whoever planned this shit. And I was scrolling through whatever social media platforms, and I happened to see something on Facebook. So naturally the Harries have been fawning over the Holivia pics, and someone posted the reaction of Harries’ on the Larry group, and went on to say that one of the reasons Harry continues to do these stunts is because of fans like these. And the Larries got on a sort of debate where some were thinking along the lines that maybe Harry was queerbaiting Larries, while some were upset that Harry was thinking only from the perspective of his straight fans, and he wasn’t thinking at all for his queer fans while doing these things. So I sort of just wanted to tell the people who’re upset with him only “catering” to his straight fans that - the reason Harry has to do these stunts for his straight fans is because they’re not as understanding as we queer fans. Only we know what we have to go through as queer people. Some of us are lucky by having strong support systems, but most of us are not. Moreover, being where Harry is, makes it even more difficult for him. Which is why I feel like he is (sort of) relying on us to be understanding while he does these things, because we understand him better than his straight fans. We have to remind ourselves that they’re only getting to see a shell in the form of Harry, while we get the real him. So while some of us are upset over his stunts, we should remind ourselves of the struggles and know that we’re his extended support system during these times, and we can’t leave him alone 🤷🏻‍♀️ to end this on a tad bit of a light hearted note, maybe the Euro people are secretly Larries, or they’re trying to make us feel better by choosing songs by Harry and Louis, and also posting the amazing Larry pic on their wall/screen/whatever it’s called :’) have a great day!!! ❤️❤️ thank you for reading through the rant 🙈🙈

Elo ramble anon <3 I don't really wanna bring in the discourse / negativity / stunt talk to this space too much but I don't wanna ignore your essay either hah. Also wanted to add some things and since this is pretty long already it's gonna be under the cut, but just a warning it’s all just discourse lol:

I don't think Harry stunts "for his fans", I don't think he ever has. I think he stunts for publicity, for getting/keeping his name out there. And what people love to eat up the most are the idea of these never going out of style perfect hollywood couples being perfect. It's just selling the fantasy (and the outdated but still safest one at that). So that if his name is heard again it's familiar and they're more inclined to listen to his music / go watch his movie / etc once that's put under their noses again. It's exactly the same as commercials, like you know what coca cola is yet you keep getting spammed with new commercials in your face all the time because then (subconsciously) you keep getting reminded of who is the big brand you should drink and once you walk in the supermarket you're gonna be (subconsciously) more inclined to pick the brand you recognize over the ones you don't. So then after getting spammed with his name someone might go watch/listen to his shit then they might become fans if they love it so much but 1) it's not because of the stunts they become fans and 2) he's not trying to keep fans through stunts. I mean not fans who are appreciating his work deeply anyway because you just can't have both. If you really listen to him there's just no way you can appreciate both. It's just doing the dumbest shit to make his name a worldwide topic. And yeah sure you can then give him shit for chasing fame the way he is but we don't know shit, we don't know how much he can turn down or if this is some kinda concession made for freedom in other regards or if he's being told so much this is the necessary (evil) thing to do to achieve the thing he wants to achieve or that he's literally just stuck in some contract still with image shaping that's just not in his control. Maybe he's going along with it telling everyone involved he is and it is fine and not lifting that mask untill he's home yaknow, or maybe he really is fine and I'm reading into someone otherwise very much alive looking like a shell of a person. Who knows. Like we don't know nothing, and if people mistake that PR circus for being him and become a fan of that then they're just a fan of tabloids and drama and that kinda entertainment and they're free to do so, but to me that is just hella seperate from what makes me a fan of him, so much so that I don't feel frustrated that he's doing it in the sense that HE is (possibly even choosing to be) behaving this way, but more that the world is still a homophobic pile of garbage and he (together with a ton of others, but maybe one of the loudest? can we call it that? Anyway last about UEFA I really hope there's a group of people behind that doing this shit on purpose. I have a background in PR (for a couple of years I worked as an agent too) and from a professional point of view what they're doing with holivia is not that bad. As a fan I'm very upset and unhappy but when I see how they're handling things from a work perspective I think they're being smart. From what I see they're not going to confirm the relationship, they will let people speculate and tabloids write articles about them. When they're done, they can deny it and say it was just a friendship and blame the public for misunderstanding them. This allows them to do the bare minimum interaction wise (they only hung out two or three times at the beginning of January and were papped for like, five sets of pics) and they can keep the conversation going with the clothes and accessories sharing, moving in together rumours and all those PR 101 tactics. I know the pandemic is an awful time to stunt and it's very disrespectful to health care workers and I don't condone that, but if their PR team was told they didn't have an option and had to stunt to promote the movie, the way they're doing it is working. Well, Scott traveled to be with his closest family, if that Toby pic had been recent they'd have been traveling to be with a group of friends. There is a clear difference. The hate was insane but they're not the same thing.

Not to get personal or anything, but my closest family and almost all of the blood relatives are in India right now. Are you going to tell me it would have been totally alright and okay if I had travelled all the way there to celebrate Diwali instead of being cooped up in my apartment? The 'people' Louis is reffering to is his escorts; people paayed to carry out what is supposed to happen that night (bodyguards, pr managers, paps, in cases the girls aswell he appears papped with), and the line 'couldn't get better they say' has both the connotation of this being the LA dream, of always partying, knocking chicks up, drinking to your hearts desire- aswell as having the connotation of 'his people' telling him it will not get better, so don't try to oppose it. (which links back to the previous verse 'does it even matter anyway')

'singing til last call' refers to how late he spent in the clubs and 'out of tune' suggest again the drunk state. 'Should be laughing but there's something wrong' is again, elluding to that LA dream partying state that should've been what he was feeling, since that's what the media said. The 'lights go on' is reffering to the paps, when they take pictures (and obviously the miss you is talking about eleanor because he'd much rather stunt with her than be here lmao ) And yes, the miss you is reffering to Harry.

There doesn't have to be a reason and obviously it could also be a stunt line in the song- but let me explain what I think: We can see Louis' state by the end of the paps shoots, how he slowly just becomes VERY tired towards the last few ones. And keep in mind he was also touring with 1D WHILE HE PARTIED. Which meant it was Show-Party-Show-Party with things thrown between it aswell. Giving close to little time to spend w Harry.

(a/n: kind of like how a lot of shippers unlarried while babygate was happening because 'louis couldn't cheat' or how a lot of shippers say they broke up during that time because 'Harry couldn't take the stress' and stuff)

Im not saying they broke up not that he cheated. What I'm saying is that there was a fear that this would make them break up- he says 'chase you down' which has the animalification of the wolves chasing down the pray to kill them etc.

Now the 'We can't even be on the phone now, I can't even be with you alone now' refers to their public appearance, on how other than that Paris interview there are no other interviews with just them two, on how we didn't get a Larry hour on 1Dday... It refers to them literally being unable to say anything to each other because of management.
