sometimes your boyfriend simply chooses to be your biggest tormentor. exhibit a: he’s been teasing you about the (’cute’ in his words) way you eat strawberries for the past several minutes.

“i’m just saying!” he says with a laugh, watching you from the couch. “you’re just so cute about it!”

you still don’t get it, and he hasn’t elaborated in the slightest. you think it might be in the same way he finds his other friends closer to your age cute when they so much as breathe sometimes--like felix. then again, you’ve seen the way felix acts sometimes, and it is, indeed, cute. but all you’re doing is eating some strawberries you cut the tops off of, and you aren’t doing it any cuter than how a person normally eats strawberries. you’re literally just eating them. simple as that.

you pick up the bowl and move over to sit with him instead. “just try to explain.”

and he manages to quell his giggles as he hugs the pillow he’s been holding tighter against his chest. “okay,” he says. “you love strawberries.”

this is a fact. most people know it about you, but you’d say they’re probably your favorite fruit--or among the top of your list if nothing else.

“so you get this really cute look on your face when you eat a really good strawberry,” he says. “also... these,” he reach out, pinching one of your cheeks, and he chuckles again when you grimace. “automatically make you cute. it’s like when jisung eats and his cheeks puff out.”

you swat at his hand, “so you’re saying i look like a squirrel.”

“no!” he laughs, “i’m saying all of it just makes you... cuter.” he paws through the air until he catches your hand in his. “it’s like when you say i’m cute.”

“because you are!”

“i don’t get it--you say it when i’m not even doing anything!”

“because you’re cute!”

he giggles, pulling the bowl of strawberries aside as he ditches the pillow in favor for you. “then i guess,” he places the quickest peck against your lips, eyes crinkling as he smiles hard, “we just have to agree that we’re both cute.” 

even if you don’t get it... you think you can agree to that one.

I think it just hit me that I’m actually getting better

She heard me doing things so she came up to the side of her baby bin and blelelelele'd at me until I noticed her. She greets me every morning where we spend the first hour of every day together, her just resting in my hand and me holding her, often gently petting her head and tiny scales. If there is a heaven, that first hour we spend together is it.

She is getting a larger enclosure for her birthday in a month and a half. :D Hopefully I can get it done in time, as I haven't sculpted a custom enclosure before and will be trying some new artistic critiques. I do have experience sculpting though. My biggest worry is the paints and sealing them properly! Art I can do- but food safe art that will be in a moist bioactive enclosure is new for me.

My mc def has a Victorian dress somewhere wherever they go and no one has found it yet, why? Because it’s pretty and even if they can’t really wear it (in fear of being ridiculed or forced to throw it out because it takes to much space/to heavy when they can have other stuff). Can something like this be in game? Not necessarily a dress or something hell even a teddy bear (Because they basically lost their childhood and it’s the one thing that makes them feel like a kid even just that tiny bit), and if not…can my mc have a hunters garment that is similar to lady Maria’s in bloodborne? Here’s a reference. Btw LOVE your games you are an amazing writer(and basically an artist because writing something as beautiful as this in my opinion is considered art. thank you! and hmmm i'm not sure if it's something that would ever come up that specific in game. for reasons i can't really say without spoiling stuff the hunter will end up later with only the clothes on their back, so there is the potential that they will mourn the few belongings they did have, but i'll most likely avoid getting specific so the player can fill in the blanks.

same with their clothing; i avoid describing the hunter's clothes in too much detail so the player can imagine what they want.

i enjoy the aesthetics of bloodborne especially the clothing, and sometimes i wish i could give the hunter a gun lmfao

my family didn't really celebrate christmas this year, but it was nice to have a day off after working so much this past week :-)

i havent read this manga (heisei umare?) so maybe the pacing is very funny and works in the context of the manga but as it is OOC its something i kept seeing when reading 4koma recently (and garfield strips lol?) so im gonna use it as a jumping off point. no hate to it again i havent read it idk i might just adore it if i give it a try. but ok so look. (right strip 1st, left strip 2nd) the panels here go: setup blank blank punchline / punchline blank blank blank. now lets grab a page from azumanga diaoh and compare

it goes: setup development sensible-chuckle punchline / setup development sensible-chuckle awkward-silence-punchline. the "blank" does not have the same effect at all! you NEEEEEEED a punchline!!!! and you need the 3rd panel ("sensible chuckle") it preps the reader to laugh for real at the punchline, its warm-up!!!

this one reads more like setup / eh? / UH? / AHAH? (and also repetition comedy again yay!) i forgot what tezuka called the panels of a 4koma but thats the idea basically, each one has a function and youre free to do whatever you want with your jokes but then you have to find a rhythm thats also tailor-made for FOUR panels, not any less, not any more. a lot of garfie strips are just setup / blank / punchline or blank / blank / punchline and would work better as 2 panels or 1 panel gags like just get rid of the filler. this is the philosophy behind "2 panels ctrl alt del strips are funnier than the OG" too. but no matter what you do you still need a fucking punchline

w this in mind i reworked those first 2 strips like 3 different ways, u just swap the panels around and try to make them into setup development sensible-chuckle punchline. or whatever else pacing. its fun i encourage doing it i wont post mine here cuz its kind of disrespectful to the artist if i show em as a "heres how i fixed ur joke!!" but as an exercise in comedic timing its fun lol
