Hey, I wanted to ask-
People with tics/Tourette’s-
Asking because I personally have pretty regular tics, and feel teased/invalidated when people will mimick, mock, or pretend to have my tics
#I understand most people w/out tourette’s probably don’t do this to be cruel#but i can’t help but feel mocked whenever someone looks at me experiencing tics#and starts clicking their tongue/popping their mouth/jerking their head to the side#etc etc#because it’s like#oh gee thanks bud#you’re definitely not making me feel like a complete weirdo right now#like i understand people don’t really know how to react#but if someone you know starts having tics (especially in public/around other people)#they typically don’t want you to start mimicking their tics#it’s usually embarrassing as is and we don’t need y’all to draw more attention to it#tourettes#vocal tics#motor tics#tics mention#tics#tourette’s syndrome#polls
