Nothing official, but just some FFXVI verse musings...
I don't want to get cliché or overuse some ideas that are gonna be pretty popular amongst other rpers. Being a bearer or a dominant namely. That doesn't stop me from entertaining the thought. Suppose she was a dominant. Alexander would be fitting. Not sure how someone would prime into a giant winged castle, but would still be cool. Then semi priming with 4 angel wings maybe?
This is using the inspiration from IX's eidolon of course since Alexander is the guardian patron of Alexandria, and Beatrix, too, has devoted her life protecting and serving as the city's sword.
And imagine her priming with white glowing spiderweb energy. Like a beacon of holy magic.
That aside, trying to figure out which nation she'd serve is tricky since I like adding a touch of misguided evil actions despite being morally aligned as lawful neutral. Rosaria would be a fair choice, even if she continued serving the bitc- I mean Anabella from Sanbreque. I even mused once about Beatrix as a Black Shield. (And before you call me out, ...yeah, blind loyalty is her thing. Even if she doesn't like it.)
I could probably mention she'd also not go out of her way to mistreat bearers, but she probably would maintain the status of class between bearers and non.
There's a lot of Norse references with Waloed, and I already give a few Valkyrie vibes from Bea normally. (Also not to mention in IX were Odin comes in and destroys Cleyra after Beatrix already invades. Another fun little tidbit, but really could make all sorts of little references to include with the eidolons/eikons.) But there's a lot more mystery with that kingdom that I'd have to learn of. And their treatment of bearers is far more extreme than I think Beatrix would stand by and allow.
Then let's not get into her fear of Bahamut, shall we~
Anyway...now on the matter of the Outlaw and his band...
I don't think Beatrix would willingly side straight way. Upturning society as they are. It would take some strong convincing. Could always capture her~ I still crave some good POW settings for Bea. Even if Cid found her, and she was enacting some evils or butting heads with Cursebreakers or interfering in some way... and Cid knew she wasn't really a bad person, just needed a little persuasion, then perhaps she'd eventually come around after seeing some hard truths.
But ye. Wanted to drop some ramblings on the matter. Especially if some of the XVI rpers happened to lurk and see something of interest amongst this themselves. *shrugs*

had a realization getting dressed today. up til this moment i have kind of figured the gender nonconformity was assumed to be part of the butch thing by most of my coworkers. despite
new coworker staring extremely unsubtly as i wrote down my pronouns for a meeting (sorry tumblr, im any/all irl and sometimes that means saying she/her so i have somewhere to pee)
someone on my direct team sending one of the few trans guys i work with to come into my office for some papers and coincidentally he also spent 2 hours telling me about how rewarding it's been to come out + how great our coworkers are about creating a hostile environment for anyone who misgenders him even accidentally
multiple people telling me unprompted about the one gender neutral bathroom in the entire building (the entire reason i have not been coming out, its very far away)
the same coworker from the pronouns asking me directly if i was transgender last week
like im not really sure how i thought i was flying under the radar until this moment. like in context being asked if i was transgender felt like the natural progression of a conversation but now it seems more like one of those "not everyone wants to be a boy/girl/neither." like "if your coworkers are directly asking you if you're transgender you're probably not being very subtle about it."
anyways changed my pronouns on slack today :) now i'll have to walk across the building to the bathroom :')

this is somewhat of a vent post & something i said i would not do again but has been plaguing me enough that i think getting it out might feel better. so. has anydoggy else been. Baffled and upset by nora sakavic’s refusal to speak on how terribly aftg has treated its characters of color? with the author of the series coming back with a new book and starting up on her online activity again, and questions of what she’d change about aftg bubbling up, it’s particularly glaring to me that we are all playing this very long game of pretend where we ignore how badly the non-white cast has been treated & her lack of thoughts on it
and i understand not wanting to bring up nicky and thea because people pick on her for it. i’m not trying to discredit nora sakavic’s terrible history of getting harrassed online by aftg fans. but i think it is very cynical, and it is very juvenile, and most of all very cruel, that she gets to ignore the very real ways the books have set up these characters to be hated. i think it’s obvious why the characters who get the most hate are the only canonical characters of color, and i think we do not get to treat this like a deliberate decision on the fandom’s part when the books have put these same characters in degrading and embarrassing and terrible positions in the first place. aftg is not a story about nice characters with clean pasts, but there is a very specific nastiness to the only characters of color being a brown man who sexually harasses and later assaults the main character, a black woman whose only scene is her lashing out at her love interest after being ignored for the first two books, and the japanese villain who gets maybe two lines of complexity before he goes back to being a terrible person. the white cast, in comparison, while not at all free from flaws, are never shown to commit mindless evil; all of their actions are ultimately justified. the book goes out of its way to give them concession after concession. we know exactly who to side with, because aftg tells us who these people are. does nicky’s assault ever get addressed in the books? does riko’s reasoning to be the way that he is ever gets more than briefly aluded to? is thea reserved even a shred of humanity or grace in her one scene?
anyway. it’s been years of talking about this and the fandom has been constantly hostile to criticism in this regard, and more recently any criticism at all, and it’s Grating to be on the other side of this discussion. it’s exhausting to know that in ten years we do not get even an acknowledgment besides the author saying she will not answer questions about nicky and thea anymore. it’s upsetting and it’s ugly and i wish no one had to talk about this again, but we do because what i thought was common sense has been washed away by a sudden influx of no-nuance adoration for the trilogy. basically i hope we all explode
