HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY TO GRAVITY FALLS!

Back in Oct. 2018, my project for inktober was at least one pic from every episode.  Because of the pace, there were restrictions; I did each on a post-it note, limited coloring, and chose things that would fit the square format and that I could get done in time (between working full-time and owl-banding most nights).  I always sort of wanted to redo a bunch of those; but really, what occasion would merit putting in THAT much time and effort for a project of that size?

Well, how about for the 10th anniversary of the premiere of Gravity Falls?

I’m not saying this was a *smart* project to tackle, but I thought it might be “easier” because I had first drafts of most of the pieces; I just wanted to redo them so they’d look better, with 4 more years of practice under my belt and a new move to digital art.  (Narrator: it was not really easier.)  Some I redid completely, or did new to create the full sets above.  Basically, once I’d hit on this idea, and decided to link it to the refrain of “How Far We’ve Come”, I was committed; there was no way I was going to *not* try to do it.

I know that “How Far We’ve Come” gets fanvidded for eight billion different shows.  But, the first time I heard the song was in one of the first Gravity Falls fanvids I ever watched (link  below), so it will always be a GF song for me.

Gravity Falls has meant a lot to me for the past 6 years that I’ve been active in the fandom.  I have no doubt it will always have a big place in my heart. I’m definitely not done with things I’d like to do for it.  I’m so glad to see people coming together to celebrate this big anniversary!

i know it's popular fanon to think that essek has little to no relationship experience and i do think his bedroom experience is average at best (for a hot young* elf) but i Personally think he's got a long line of heartbreaks behind him. i mean this so slash negative slash derogatory i think he was out there wining and dining and leaving-behining all the time. just for fun and profit. working on his acting chops. showing off. he likes attention dude. i don't think that's directly contradictory to him being very reclusive and quiet about his work i think he was mysterious and sexy and thought flirting was funny. anyway he and caleb "genuinely falls in love with every other person he meets and then is really weird about it, EXCEPT for essek, who he was genuinely honeypotting" widogast, who essek was also genuinely honeypotting for reasons Far beyond boredom (see: i think some of his early weirdness/awkward formality can be explained by the fact that he was trying to mask real homicidal rage towards the m9) are insane together they're ride or die they're perfect for each other they're lifelong "friends" and they're playing mind games the likes of which would level a city park id they broke out of containment. and it's enrichment for them

Idk if you know but Izutsumi is actually 17. It's not stated in canon but it's in the adventures guide so

oh huh i had no idea... i know falin must be 20 cause laios said hes 23 and im p sure they are 3 years apart, and laios said tallmen/humans however u wanna call them reach adulthood at 16 but idk if he meant his country or the race as a whole, so im not sure if that makes izutsumi a minor or not? also idk if it changes due to her being beastkin?

i mean ofc from our perspective she would be, but this is a fantasy setting w different ages of maturity, for example chilchuck said halflings reach adulthood at 14, due to their shorter lifespans, im just curious if for izutsumi adulthood would also be 16 like laios or if maybe eastern standards in the world of dunmeshi is different?

If it's the same, while she's not a minor that is still a three year age gap for izutsumi and falin, with izutsumi barely being an adult, add to that the fact idk how old marcille is or when she wouldve reached adulthood, i can see ur concern.

ill leave them out due to the blurred lines there, but in general i think its important to remember fantasy people dont necessarily age the same way we do, if beastkin age anywhere as fast as halflings, at 17 izutsumi would be older than a 17y/o tallman. thats all hypothetical ofc, and not really an attempt to justify the age difference, more so genuine curiosity about how ages work for her since idk if thats established? im still shocked a 29y/o halfling is old enough to have 3 adult kids for example, but then again they live an average of 50 years so it makes sense? I think the differences are really interesting! because despite only being 6 years apart, chilchuck is inherently a lot older than laios due to their racial traits and customs. Laios is a young adult and chilchuck is more like a middle aged man. Meanwhile, to Senshi and Marcille, 29 sounds like a baby, which means a 29y/o elf or dwarf would probaably be perceived by their own race as younger than even laios is to other tallmen, if that makes sense? at 30 smth senshi was treated like a kid by an older dwarf, maybe thats equivalent to their teens?

Now im just rambling though, i know that's not what the ask was about, it just had me wondering. In a context like this age can be more than a number due to racial traits and lifespans, but since izutsumi is probably closer to a human and idk if beastkin age differently or not, i'd agree that shes quite young especially compared to marcille who's probably a bit older than falin herself (well shes a lot older by literal decades but i imagine only a bit older if you consider elves probably reach adulthood a lot later which likely means marcille is a young adult herself?)

i also havent finished the manga so its difficult to form more concrete opinions on the matter but i hope i explained myself well? i do very much think a 17 year old in real life is a child, i was just rambling about this fantasy world and wondering how different things might be. if their 16 is our 18 then their 17 is our 19 and their 20 is our 22. I dont remember how mature I was at 19 but as a 22y/o i dont think id have felt comfortable dating someone 3 years younger personally? i still dont tbh

Legolas has to go to a lot of meetings and is busy a lot of the time, he feels so bad and the apologies never stop

but no matter how long he is gone he always makes it up to you

hell take you horseback riding and pack a picnic lunch to make it up to you

his father is honestly surprised at how in love the two of you are, you have been married for decades and still act as though you are in your honeymoon phase

when the two of you have your first child, a boy named Oropher[named after legolas' grandfather], Thranduil cant help but get reminded of him and his wife[and baby leggo too ofc]

Thanduil enjoys your conversations, thinking of you as a daughter he never had, and a good friend

he also lets you in on all the embarrassing baby Legolas stories he never got to tell anyone.

you end up having 5 children in all your years, three girls and two boys

some take after you more, others Legolas

you make excellent parents, teaching them the arts, sciences and ways of battle.

Legolas spends time with his children as often as he possibly can and is an amazing father

you love your life in the greenwood, its your home

but eventually the time of the elves is over and you and your family sail for Valinor, to be together forever<3

i kind of like maybe just a little adore the new clue set cards like. the clue set itself is a weird and overpriced product and the physical cards themselves are definitely gonna be stupid overpriced because nobody wants to buy a board game to crack packs but like. the cards themselves? kind of fire?

i kind of adore that theyre not just all rares and we are getting clue set commons and stuff :3 its cute! and we're getting a new lonis too-- its not a super interesting card but i adore lonis and im very excited to play with more of her. and we get an interesting new land cycle in the cluelands too! the art for them kinda blows at the moment but at some point in the future i assume they'll be reprinted in a set that gives them fun and interesting art? maybe? please? im not exactly itching to play them but ill never turn down another cycle of duals teehee

id love to talk about some individual cards from the lineup so far that i adore! these are just my top picks but id recommend going and looking at the full list spoiled so far on scryfall :3

for starters, my favorite card from the whole spoiler season right now i think has to be scuttling sentinel. i dont think i want to play her in any commander deck, but in my opinion this is like one of the top cards for cubes in 2024 period-- like cankerbloom tier of cube card. she's awesome! a crab elf which is such an awesome creature type, playable with green or blue, puts 1/1 counters on things and its main draw is just being a decent body that offers protection :) she's great!!!! ive already slotted her into the cube ive been piecing together recently. i like her a lot.

resonance technician is such a cool spell copier <3 every part of it is kind of expensive so im not really sure where youd play it but it does a lot of cool things all at once on a single card which is fun! the flavor is cool-- we all love weirds here-- and the functionality is useful and cute. cool card. big fan

we also have portal manipulator who is like one of the weirdest and strongest combat tricks ive ever seen? this is like if aetherize also fucked your shit in. so i can absolutely see this seeing a lot of play honestly. but lets be real here this card just has amazing art. thheres portals around her skull !!! god shes so cool.

corporeal projection gets a shoutout because what a fun effect <3 it being izzet is awesome and on-flavor and the card itself is both an interesting choice to give your creature myriad for extra damage and a fun wincon :) im glad theres a simple and convenient way to give one creature myriad now that isn't a brick to run in my commander decks because it has a high-cost endgame mode. yay!

finally it wouldnt be a goqmir set review if i didnt shout out the new cards that work well in Naya Cast From Exile :3 Boros Strike-Captain seems kind of mid but it's important to remember that the card never goes away, and you can cast it any time after when you attack with at least 3 creatures even if BSC is off the battlefield. big fan of this one! im not sure if i can find the space to jam him in my Rocco Street Chef decklist but he's a very playable option.

Personally, i think Headliner Scarlett is the winner this set. She's a very good hit pretty much any time-- you're always gonna get a minimum of 4 free damage when she sticks, and if you play her early you get some pretty strong card advantage, which turns into very very strong card advantage in both Rocco and Prosper. if you pull her late, she can win you the game straight up by allowing you to swing out uninhibited-- though i can't speak for Prosper players, this will pretty much always be at minimum a knock out if you pull it lategame in Rocco. definitely making room for her in my decklist.

anyway thats just some cards i liked from the weird product thats coming out :3 i was and still am iffy on purchasing the product and expect the cards to be a little too expensive but as far as designs go they're pretty cool and im very happy that they exist! um sqrrk <3

(spoilers for TDP season 4)

OKAY. so i dont really do these kinda posts but id like to say a few things about season 4 cus ive seen some things and the fandom making theories, i just like to write about my own thoughts. ive watched s4 only one time due to not having netflix so i dont really remember many scenes.

"season 5 when?" are you good?? the season 4 just dropped 3 days ago! Im serious when i say ive seen multiple people already posting this question mostly on YT comments or Insta. also the fact that they're not artists OR a fic author makes sense honestly. they have no idea how animation works.

"rayla's acting weird" this is what frustrats me the most. NO she's not... ok maybe a little. but like. come the fuck on, she was gone for 2 years. ofc she's not the same person we saw in season 3. people change. plus, personally, i dont see any difference on her except this one time when callum asked her to...kill him. yes rayla acted a lot calm in that scene- not just that scene really. she was so calm most of the time, but i can see why? she's trying to get callum warm up to her, she's giving him space, she's being gentle as much as she can cus she knows how much she hurt him. she's grown up, she's not the same hot-headed, irritated elf anymore. and we all know how she hides her feelings. Im pretty sure she's gotten used to it, or managed to cope her feelings well so that she can stay calm. lastly about rayla, all i have to say is people change, so does rayla. and no she's not fake at all.

firstly, if rayla's acting weird, what about Viren being supportive with Terry? isnt that weirder? he didnt even treat his own son better, but he's supporting a trans fella? sus.... secondly, what about opeli being so chill about Ez going with Zubia. in that case most of the characters in s4 were out of character. and that's okay cus it's been 2 fucking years!

"where's the rayllum kiss" Im glad we didnt get a rayllum kiss. I know this is a cartoon show but at least the animators made it similar to how an in-real-life relationship works. people dont just go "you were gone for two years but its okay, i forgive you, lets kiss". Callum needs time to get used to being around rayla again. he's happy but also angry, he needs to see how hard rayla's trying to win callum's trust back. it was so clear that callum got a bit comfortable with rayla again in the last few episodes, especially the last one. That hug was enough sign for us to know they're gonna be okay and that they're still deeply in love.

i foolishly started another playthrough of bg3 in the early access even tho the game comes out for realskies in like a week or so and i'll have get to make more characters/new pts anyway.

trying to make myself not be a pretty wood elf/half elf druid so rolled drow paladin (i'm def going to play a druid first once it's out for real tho b/c talk to animals is my favorite larian studios skill and i'm so sad without it. i just want to talk to all the animals and also wild shape!) and it's actually been pretty fun to just be tanky and whack things.

npcs are super rude to drow tho, it's real da elf and skyrim khajit/dunmer flashback hours (i don't love it? the fantasy race racism stand-in in rpg games always feels not terribly thoughtful? i realize it's b/c the source material has it but still idk there's got to be a better way and wotc/dnd is historically still not great at it)

i keep attempting to play a different type of character (i usually start to swing chaotic good no matter where i start lol), but it's difficult and also it's real hard not to flirt with astarion even if he disapproves of my kinda do-gooder paladin atm lol (i think b/c a character disproves sometimes my contrary nature takes the better of me b/c i'm like oh no but i want *them* to like me even tho everyone else approves or maybe b/c everyone else approves XD i've already romanced him & shadowheart tho, gotta try someone else's arc or proto arc as it were lol. This spread seems to be about recovery from disappointment and frustration, imo.

The Seven of Pentacles is about effort and investment, and when reversed, it typically indicates that those efforts may not be bearing fruit. You may have put tons of work into something (or someone!) only to find that things aren't working out how you'd hoped. Maybe a business venture isn't returning on investment. Maybe you put a lot of work into a project and you feel like it didn't bring you the satisfaction you expected. Maybe you put a lot of effort into a relationship that just seems to be going nowhere.

It's a very frustrating card, but it also calls for you to kind of do a cost-benefit analysis on your life, y'know? Maybe examine what's working and what's not and move on from there.

Because the next card is a reversed Three of Swords. The Three of Swords is generally a card about heartbreak, and when it's reversed it's often a sign that you're having trouble moving on from it. Maybe someone has hurt you, maybe you're feeling deeply disappointed in something that didn't go well, I'm not sure. But this card is telling you that holding onto those hurt feelings isn't productive. Whatever it is in your life that didn't pan out, didn't go according plan, hurt you deeply -- it's time to learn from that experience and change your path accordingly. That's the real way to heal here.

Finally we have the Page of Cups. This is a really nice card to see when you're starting a new venture (like graduating and trying to find a job) because it's a very dreamy, curious, artistic card. To see it after two cards about struggling to move on from bad experiences, too, tells me that this is a card telling you that your life can get better if you just allow it to do so.

So... I guess my thoughts are this: life can be rough sometimes, especially when a venture doesn't quite turn out like you'd planned. It can be easy to really get stuck in a rut where you feel like none of your efforts were worth it. But life does continue on, and there's beauty everywhere if you look for it. So... look for it. Take this first step on your new journey and really enjoy the process. Look into things you might not have considered. Have an open mind and explore the world joyfully. Learn from your bad experiences -- and then let them go so you can properly enjoy the future opportunities you'll find in the world around you.

Also, the Page of Cups is very artistic and creative! So maybe that's a good direction to take your life, and your healing, going forward.

Infernal Flare

Trigger warning right off the back: Death, Suicidal, abuse, failed attempt.

This is pure and simple and expression of old childhood thoughts of mine. Long past and therapy gained. Best way to describe this is me finally letting things go of the past. I want a clean future, so here we are. A two day written story about a human who loses their elf lover and can't even see them one last time.

Humming a simple tune as you walk on the empty street, not a care in the world even as the storm pours. Clothing soaked, phone shorted out, and the neon lighting barely piercing the dense storm around me. Hologram flickering in and out as the projectors try in vain to show their countless advertisements. Credits wasted in weather like this to even have the projectors on. 

Keeping the simple tune flowing as I walk, finding my way into the local park. Gate closed and no one manning the admission counters. Providing a moment of shelter and giving glimpse at the cost of admission holograms. Three thousand credits per child and twelve thousand credits per adult. Discounts only given to employees of Valor Entertainment corporation. 

Climbing the gate, I land on my feet and continue my tune filled walk. My bare feet leaving bloody footprints in my wake that are quickly washed away by the rain. Shredded pants showing the deep gashes along my calves and thighs. Shirt nothing but strips thanks to one angry damn druggy needing his fix.

Didn’t believe me when I only had a cred-stick with only twelve credits left on it. Took my shoes, cut my face, my chest, my legs, demanding where I had my creds hid away at. Shrieking to the sky when thunder struck. Allowing me to sprint away and well, I missed my chance. 

Only got a automated text message that he passed on in the hospital. Wasn’t able to come and see him, denied at the front entrance by security despite presenting my ID. Junky came running after me, security did him in and told me to get walking unless I ended the same way. Texted his mom what happened and she told me it was my fault, all my fault he was attacked in his own bed. 

That the friends she had paid for him to have was twisted by me, that I got them to attack him. Funny, real fucking funny. Oh well, it doesn’t matter now. 

Continuing my tune, I find the ‘look out’ tower set in the center of this proud overly priced rich motherfuckers only park. Smiling as I remember when he took me out on a date here. Brought me up to the tower top, getting us to the employee only section for the best view imaginable. It was a fun day, it was a really fun day.

And with a gentle kick to the door, the lock breaks and I’m allowed entry once more. Shutting it behind me so not to give the janitors anymore work come morning. Passing the little gift shop and seeing some little plushy dragons still on sale. Bought me a nice black and red one, had changing threads to make it shift back and forth when moved. Was really nice of him.

Stepping over the little chain blocking off the first steps, I begin the long ascent up the stairs. Smiling even more as I remember his smile, laughing so joyously as we rode the elevator up. Looking out over the brightly lit park, not unlike now as I look through the occasional window. Seeing the anger of the sky still laying itself upon the park and city. 

Clouds plucked from the void it seems try to drown the city of lights so thoroughly. Hitting harder and harder as I walk up all thirty-seven stories. Where the door leading to the employee only area opens with another gentle kick. Letting the howling storm in and me out into it. Wind slamming the door shut behind me as I smile even wider.

“Remember that day Gyn? You snuck our first kiss in here, had me talking about the mechanics of how the little animatronic mascots worked. Caught me mid-word and made it passionate. Made it worth remembering, even now.”, I say with a fond smile. 

Can smell his perfume again despite the howling storm around me. He somehow made banana yellow shirt work, made it look real good on him that day. Earning a chuckle from me as I lean against the railing. Looking out to the endless sheets of rain and the flickering holograms in the distance. Building sized and barely seen with this storm raging.

“You… you got me to actually smile for no reason, you know that?”, I ask the air as tears burn in my eyes.

Nodding as I pull myself up and over the railing, standing on the slick lip. Giving me a grand view of the rain filled void. Unable to see the ground from up here but I know its there. As much as the storm would care for it, it can’t wash this city away. Filth like me will always be here, more so when the storm eventually subsides. 

Gonna ruin some poor bastard day.

“I was gonna give up being a runner to be with you. Live honestly, put in the work, do everything I can to make you smile. Get you free of that bitch of a mother that made you come to my neck of the woods to shoot up. Fuck, I kept you from killing yourself and yet here I am.”, I say with growing sobs.

Having trouble catching my breath as I keep my hands on the railing behind me. Rocking myself back and forth as I remember it all. Taking you to the street doc, paying out the ass to get your system flushed out. Making you eat and drink, getting you to open up. Bringing that smile back to your beautiful face, and you got to leave in comfort, not I.

“Gyn… I’m sorry.”, I whine out as I let go.

Pushing myself forward as the storm howls, wind sweeping up around me as my toes leave the edge. Letting myself be taken by the storm as I close my eyes. Honestly wishing I would of gone home and just blown my brains out instead as I’m terrified of heights. 

A sharp jerk jolts me from my thoughts, something hot having caught me. 

Opening my eyes, I look up, expecting my arm to be caught on a powerline. Instead I see three sets of hands having grabbed my hand and arm.  Claws having pierced the skin, preventing me from falling further despite the storm howling protest. Hands and arms burning bright with unnatural heat, leading up to the faces of three demons and a devil behind them. 

Pulling me up as I don’t fight back, hauling me over the railing and pressing my back to the wall as if I was a sheet of paper. Forcing me to stand upright as I hear hurried steps from within the tower. Moving far quicker than any human or elf could manage and within seconds the door is slammed open again. Earning a weak gasp from me as coming out is Gyn.

Horns having grown from his head, bloodied and torn skin and flesh clinging to them as he turns and sees me. Fingers torn and bloodied with claws having grown from them. His eyes a burning orange as the look he takes makes me feel ashamed of myself. Rushing forward and grabbing me, pulling me into a tight hug.

I don’t say anything, thoughts too chaotic for sound to leave me. 

Instead I wrap my arms around him and hold him tight. Burying my face into his neck and saying nothing as he lifts me off my feet. Carrying me back down the stairs in rapid haste, seeing the three demons and devil keeping close pace behind us. Taking us from the tower and back through the storm drenched park. 

Wind howling at its denial of its prey. 

Finding the gate I climbed over is simply gone, just a puddle of silver he walks through. Getting us out of the park and into a waiting limo. Where I see her, that bitch of a mother, and it flows freely. Snapping out of his grasp and bolting across the space with hands outstretched. Only to stop just shy of choking the life from her when I see the blood around her neck.

Look of fear in her eyes as I realize she’s not alone. 

Flanking her is two mask wearing demons wearing void red and black robes. Both holding the end of a chain that burns bright, and that when I see she is shackled. Giving order to the chaos within my mind as I stand up as best I can in this fucking limo.

“Remember years back when you asked me how I, a sorry sack of shit, met your son? It was back when you drove your son to commit suicide. He went to hop off the top of the apartment building I was staying in, was grilling pork chops on the roof when he went to do it. Spent months taking care of him, nursing him back to health, getting him to want to live again. So I met him because of you, you fucking monster.

I… and you drove me to go hop off a building as well. Seems you got a natural talent for such things, fuck you. Fuck you for trying to get that wonderful son of yours to kill himself. Fuck you for anyone you made want to die for actually CARING about your son who wasn’t on your payroll!”, I say to her.

The air becomes dense as I shout at her but I go no further. Monsters don’t need satisfaction of knowing they got what they wanted. Turning around, I see Gyn right behind me. Letting him lead me to the back of the limo, having me sit down with him. Not minding at all as I lean against his shoulder, truly and honestly not giving a shit about the tearing skin of his as he is clearly mid-transformation. 

Arm firmly wrapped around my side, refusing to let me move away in the slightest from him. Stepping into the limo is the three demons and devil, sitting down on our left as the door shuts. Moments later the limo gently lurches forward and the storm swallows the park. Taking away the piercing cold as his body steadily grows warm as he glares at her. I refuse to give the bitch the satisfaction.

“I only just found out that she lied to you, said I was in hospital dying.”, Gyn softly speaks into my ear.

“Don’t… just don’t. I will kill her with my bare hands if you continue.”, I say, cutting him off.

“Already dead, young human.”, one of the demons speaks up.

Getting me to look up and meet its gaze before looking past them to her. Staring at her as she doesn’t seem to be aware of us. Taking what feels to me minutes before realizing she’s translucent. And the chain across her lap keeps her still as the blood around her neck keeps flowing but not a drop spills.

“Taking her to judgment ourselves for the trouble she has caused. And you have provided new evidence to her guilt.”, the demon informs me.

Leaving me to nod as Gyn refuses to let go of me.

“She was suppose to tell you that I was undergoing the transformation, not lie to you. It was her last chance at redemption.”, the devil states as his skin begins to burn with visible anger.

“...swing by my apartment, I can give you all seven years worth of evidence on her.”, I state as I watch her.

With that, I lean into Gyn side and say nothing else as the limo makes a abrupt turn. Listening to every word Gyn has to offer about the situation at hand. Making the ride across the storm drenched city that much quicker. Where I find my computer simply being brought into the limo by another devil and group of demons. Sat on the floor in front of me as I break my gaze from her.

“I love you.”, I say to Gyn as exhaustion creeps back in.

“I love you as well, don’t ever do that again.”, he says as his skin takes a strong clay red and yellow color.

Revealed with the last of his skin burning away, leaving him a clean and bare as the day he was born devil. Sporting a set of horns that will take some time to properly grow on him. Right now, they’re kinda cute but we’re in company, don’t want to embarrass him. Instead I rest my head against his chest and let the exhaustion have its way.

Pulling me into a strong sleep within his grasp, one filled with gentle flame. Finding infinite legions of burning horns and eyes giving me sympathetic looks as he’s here with me. Holding me in his arms, apologizing to me over and over again. Leaving me to shut him up by kissing him, catching him by surprise as he caught me our first time.

Bringing that smile back to his face despite what waits for us in the waking world.

Hi welcome back! God i feel that life has been wild lately so i totally understand. Oh hey no worries ive been in a boat too of like. Man i really want to do this thing but my energy just isnt there. Yikes i hope you enter a stage of having more rest time soon. 8 exams? What the hell thats too many. Baking is a fun hobby i love to partake in that one myself. I like to make sweet breads & such. & its good to have a hobby to like. Pull yourself out of your head when stuff like school gets to be too much. Having to exist in public unfortunately means people will sometimes try to talk to you when you just. Want to go about your day. That is surprising but i also went to school with mostly a bunch of pricks who were awful people so. Had to look up what gran canaria is but it sounds like a nice place id love to visit sometime. Clearly schools work on fae rules. I will save for ruan mei i swear. After i pull archeron. I got black swan with the free pulls i had saved so im hoping to nab archeron. I instantly fell in love with her. Very nice clara supremacy she is so good. One day ill have her on main. I think i stopped at tb 60 so i can work on a few characters but the artifact grind hates me. Oh that sounds real interesting i cant wait to see it play out i just finished the bit where cocolia turned bronya & took the one herrscher at uh. Ch 3 end? Oh i know that one! Catarina my beloved she's so stupid i love her. Easily one of the best protags in recent memory. Dunmeshi is real good so far ive been enjoying it & seeing my girl marcille animated is everything i hoped for. Love my favorite fail girl elf. HI THANK YOU!!!! god it really has. and the weather here has been so gloomy recently that i have no energy to do anything even if i have the time. the horrors are endless but we stay silly. and thankies once again!!! i MIRACULOUSLY managed to not fail anything so were all good. unfortunately this month is also already packed but luckily its stuff i more or less either know [polish] or like [geography]. and two of the teachers i disliked got fired AJDKFJG. history guy for offering to raise students' grades if they go around spreading konfederacja [a polish extremely far-right party] flyers and that math teacher who couldnt count for saying hitler was a good person. just another day in a polish school, i guess. but both of our replacement teachers are very cool so we're so back. god yeah totally!!! not only do i have something to do for a while but i ALSO get to eat at the end. literally a win/win situation. yeah that Is annoying but as i mentioned its luckily not as common over here.... and ouhggh pain. gran canaria is VERY beautiful but id also like to visit the other canary islands someday...... the carnival on tenerife is one of the, if not the biggest, ones in spain so thatd be fun to see as well. i only missed the celebrations on gran canaria by one day which was quite annoying but oh well. GOD YEAH. im still convinced School Air is a thing bc i simply cannot explain so many things without that assumption. its a fun past time for people who enjoy pain. after you get sexy scars so i see it as a plus i don't mind the pain. i helps me feel better about myself if anything. i pick myself apart every time i look in the mirror to the point I'm co-dependent to pick myself apart. the doctors don't know what's wrong with me. i overeat of i don't eat. i self-harm but i don't. i hate how i look but i don't at the same time. i love hating myself but it's so time consuming. it annoys me sometimes. then again i don't mind it at all. it doesn't really bother me much. i pity myself yet can't do the same for others. i manipulate people for my own gain. i feel like it should be a hell of a lot more concerning to other people but for some reason it isn't. i don't get it. i want to be a bad person to people. i have substance abuse problems, i self-harm, and i manipulate others for my gain. i don't see how its not obvious im a bad person to fall in love with and/or be around. i really just don't understand it. i don't feel human most the time. i feel like a different being. just not human. i cut myself for personal pleasure and hurt others for the same reason. i dont really understand. i slef harm for the sole reason that im a bad person. i do everything i do just to remind myself that im human and that im real. am i a schizoid? or maybe just delusional. i know im crazy. thats for sure. im insane if anything. for self harming so much to the point my left are is scars galore. im basically killing myself slowly with the substance abuse. i feel crazy. starving myself for a perfect body. perfect in my eyes anyways. everyone else just says its unhealthy. i really dont care personally. i hate this, myself, everyone and everything. everything is stupid. i wish id just kill myself, but that would be the easy way out. i deserve everything but the easy way out. i need pain to survive. i need to feel human. pain is how i feel human now. i have no idea what id do without pain.

Mehri rises bright and early. Sneaking down to the river and across the bridge. She loops back to the far side to the village hoping to leave unbothered.

Only a few early risers in the village stir as she passes through meager docks built around and across the river.

Mehri passes by the mill sticking to the river's edge. Leering from above upon the lumber saw, a burly nord gives her a peircing glare. Mehri hurridly passes along and behind the mill making it to the other edge of town.

She slips around the gate and out of town. Finally settling down to a lazy trot. The outer edges of town are just as sparsely inhabited as the rest. A few villagers rest on their porch and a bumptious wood elf struts past returning from a mornings hunt.

As the elf passes her by he gives her a curious look and asks

F: "Aren't you that adventurer? Faendal. I saw you lingering around the inn. Id be careful of Sven the bard, he seems charming but he's not all that nice in reality." Mehri is confused by the mer's sudden advice M: "What's the bard done to you?" F: "Big haughty nord spends most of his time playing music at the inn. Sometimes he finds time to do his job at the mill here. Thinks his little songs are enough to get Camilla Valerius to marry him. Bunkum the whole of it. " M: "The shopkeep's sister? She's quite nice." F: "Yeah. She is. Real charmer. An intelligent woman like her wouldn't be wooed by a lunk like Sven, I hope." M: "You hope? You two fighting over her or something." F: "No No nothing like that. I'm just... worried for her. I respect her a lot. She deserves someone who can hold an axe right and doesn't live with his mom."

The man seems flustered for a moment, fiddling about with his belt before having a realization. F: "Hey, you help people? Would you mind helping me out." He pulls out a letter from under his shirt. F: "Would you give this to Camilla. And say its from Sven. I think she oughta know what he's really like." He wriggles the letter at Mehri insistantly. Initially Mehri is shocked by the man's offer. Uneased by such a proposition and concerned for Camilla. She accepts the letter wordlessly, giving the elf a hollow smile before turning around and walking back into town.

She quickly makes her way over to the Riverwood Trader. Stepping inside and darting to Camilla's side. Mehri steps up to her and leans over her shoulder. Camilla is startled but quickly settles down once she recognises her curious new hero. C: "Always a pleasure to see you dear. Do you need something?" M: "The elf, Faendal. He gave me this letter. He wanted me to say it was from Sven. He said he needed help."

All the joy in camilla's face suddenly dissipates.

C: "Not this. I was hoping you didn't hear anything about that. What did he give you?" Mehri hands the letter to Camilla, Camilla gives it a glance. Her face of exhaustion and annoyance turns to disgust and horror. C: "Why that. Absolute bastard. Thinks he can manipulate me into marrying him by slandering someone? I'm sorry you had to hear about this. These two have been bickering over me for who knows how long."

An aura of exasperated shame clouded over Camilla.

M: "Ah. I understand. Men are petty. They get into fights easy." C: "Sven is nice. Faendal was always so eager. I want a man to settle down with but they have their own... quirks"

Mehri grows more and more concerned for Camilla.

M: "Hm. Most wanderers don't have time for these kinds of pleasantries. Life is short and you must live it well. Perhaps chosing when to be polite could be beneficial."

Camilla huffs and pouts

C: "Hmph. Fine. You're wisdom is as trusty as your sword."

As she is about to ask a question she hesitates for a moment, unsure in her words

C: "Could you go and tell Sven about this for me, Im sure he would be thankful for what you've done. Maybe you could also let him know that this whole this is wrapped up?"

Mehri chuckles, patting her on the shoulder and turning to the door.

M: "Say no more madam."

With barely a word Mehri steps out of the shop and heads over to the bard's house next door. She knocks on the door, and when a voice from the other side of the wall beckons her in she obliges.

Inside his house she finds Sven having a morning drink. S: "Hello there. You're that adventurer that lives in a cave right? Need something from me?" M: "Sven yes? Camilla sent me to tell you that the situation between you her and the elf is over." S: "I... is that so. Does she wish to see me?" M: "I would suggest knowing when to quit sir." He slouches disappointed and dejected, but his sadness does not linger and soon his drink is back to his lips and his mug to the ceiling. Mehri is surprised at his nonchalance, but gives him an awkward smile and bids him farewell. With no reason to leave town quickly Mehri takes a moment to check all her gear. The road ahead will be rough and Mehri's dedication to being prepared for anything is as steeled as ever. After asking the smith for permission to use his forge Mehri sets of to work. For the morning she works, fitting new armor to her and crafting a curiass.

The clouds darken in the sky and as she works rain begins to pour in a deluge. Wind blows howling through the forge as she bends steel into form.

As she is finishes the clouds in the sky clear. She steps into the sunlight with an new set of steel armor, reinforced and sturdy enough to take any blow Mehri should receive. After taking selling off her old armor to Lucian and giving Camilla a proper farewell she decides to set off out of town.

Mehri makes her way over to the eastern gate to venture into the mountains back to Falkreath.
