I feel sorry for Orin
repurposed from an old Reddit post of mine
Edit: Wrote an epilogue fic where my Durge, Sofija, seeks redemption for her sister with the Gods
Raised from birth in the Bhaal cult and has never known ANYTHING else. Literally the result of incest between her mom and Sarevok (her father AND grandfather) - and for her entire life is actively manipulated and groomed to worship her "Grandfather" second only to Bhaal (leaving a disgusting implication that Sarevok might eventually try again). Literally every single day of her life spent in a murder cult, never knowing anything else.
Her mother is actively manipulated when Orin is seven to try to kill her daughter, only for Orin to reflexively kill her first, at which point Orin was briefly possessed by Bhaal himself (per some Sarevok dialogue). AT AGE SEVEN. And even from a young age, Orin's true gift is her artistry, a talent that outside the Bhaal cult probably could have been nurtured into something phenominal, but inside the cult is twisted into a sinisterness in the kill that, when she's out of earshot is decried as wasteful.
She eventually rises through the ranks (never have had any choice), having never felt a meaningful moment of compassion or kindness and, desperate to be cared about, sees the power and fear and respect her bloodkin (The Dark Urge) has gained and uses their hubris to take them out.
Ironically, in the timeline where Durge lives, they get a gift Orin couldn't even dream of - a 2nd chance. With their brain scrambled and the tadpole present but being interfered with, the Dark Urge got a chance to be someone new. (Whether they accept or reject that 2nd chance, they at least got a choice this time).
What did Orin get for her troubles? Her (grand)father openly coveted to either take her out, or worse, take her out - when the time was right, her own allies both detested her (Gortash openly revels at the idea of working with the Dark Urge again)
and most brutally, if you manage to confront her with the truth, any of it? About Sarevok, about her mother, etc? She immediately believes you. And for one (1) moment, maybe there's hope for her.
Hope that Bhaal immediately rips away; an Orin confronted with the truth and showing even the slightest hesitation is immediately forcibly transformed into the Slayer by Bhaal himself, with a strong implication that the core of the old Orin is gone forever win, lose, or draw. "No more doubts, no more fears, no more Orin. Become murder.". Seeing what Bhaal's reaction was the moment Orin had one (1) instant of hesitation also confirms that she'd likely have never had the chance to choose differently, either Bhaal would always step in or else she'd eventually meet her end.
Imagine the AU where Orin takes her CLEAR flair and artistic talent to become a truly great artist. Where she gets the same second chance that Durge got - If she'd been able to use her talent for impersonation and desire to great to do something powerful instead of being forced by her family from childhood into the family business of murder.
She literally never had a chance. Even Bane and Myrkul and their respective cults were never so unfathomably cruel, and she never knew anything else.
At least for my own first game, though, my Durge recognized that without her "sister," she'd have never gotten the chance to save the world, never met Shadowheart, never stopped a century worth of Ketheric's torture on Dame Aylin, never set in motion the liberation of the Githyanki...In the right world states, Orin unwittingly saved the world, but it's a world she'll never get to see or know, and probably never could have.
That's tragic as hell.

any thoughts on how Simon and Isabelle will be around their in laws, I know we got to see a bit of it in the later books but would love to hear your thoughts
anon i will take any chance to talk about rebecca lewis <33 yes, i know there are more inlaws in question, and i will get to them, but i have been dying to talk about becky hehe plus there really is so much more to explore on the lewis side--naturally, since neither elaine nor rebecca have interacted with izzy in canon (insane btw).
sidenote: i kinda love how izzy only ever grew up with brothers, but gained a sister through simon (or two really, since we really must count clary, but you know, we're talking technicalities here), and that for simon, it's the opposite.
anyway, speaking of sisters hehe i genuinely think izzy and rebecca would get along well. i think iz would be a good source of.. fun i guess? for becky. like a good reminder to let loose. and i think becky would be a good resource for izzy, someone with a bit more age and wisdom that she can go to, someone who isn't maryse. and it's not like becky would be the only one offering advice. i think izzy would remind her to put herself first sometimes, to chase what she wants and to be kinda.. undeniable i guess. and i think they would laugh together and i think they would go shopping together, despite their very different fashion senses, and i think becky would maybe make some clothes for izzy and i think they would bond over the matching simon-shaped swell in their hearts.
i think becky is a common presence at the sizzy household. movie nights or game nights, or becky-cooked dinners (she might also try train some better cooking instincts into izzy while she's at it hehe), at least for a while until life things happen etc. i also think, and i know this is thinking a decent way further down the line, but i also think she'll be one of their go-to babysitters, since i don't think she'll get settled with her own family until she's in her 30s, and because i just know she'll want to be part of every second of that.
okay okay i think i need to stop talking about rebecca now or i will end up writing a novel..
i think their relationship with elaine is a lot more.. delicate. they don't see her nearly as often. because they can't be honest about the shadow world, for one, but also because i think she still has a little bit of.. not exactly loose canon, but something akin to that, in her. i think she wishes she got to see her son and daughter in law more, but i think there's this underlying anger for izzy any time they go to elaine's place, because even though it was years ago, izzy's first introduction to her personality was still through the lens of her condemning her son and kicking him out of the house at 16. and i also think izzy's seen how that reaction has affected simon, both in the direct aftermath, and in the years after he got his memories back.
i know levi is dead and wouldn't have any sort of relationship with izzy, but i do think simon would have taken her to levi's grave at some point to introduce them anyway. maybe around their wedding?
i really don't feel like there's much to say about the lightwoods that we haven't already seen, or that can't be easily extrapolated, but in spirit of fairness..
jace and simon are very much jace and simon. it's kinda hard to imagine their relationship changing much more than it already has. the comfortability and familiarity between them, the playful jabs, etc. i do think jace has probably begrudgingly gone to simon for a second (or third after clary, ig) opinion on some plans or strategies etc. he's having to make as an institute head. and i definitely think simon has tried to teach jace dnd, and had him over to play video games more than once.
i think simon and alec's relationship goes through more change than what we've been privy to. i think they have their bonding time doing target practice or over coffee after putting the kids to bed. they talk about politics and work and the sda. they also definitely talk about jace being an idiot lol
when it comes to maryse.. bro maryse is so hard for me. their relationship with her would be much closer than that they have with elaine, of course. and i think in maryse's effort to be more present with her family, she also makes a point to have a personal relationship with simon. they don't really have all that much in common, but simon has always seemed like something of a mom charmer to me. he's funny and smart and knows how to be polite. plus he really really cares about izzy. and i think it means a lot to maryse to see that. call it projection or mother's love or a little of both, but it's nice to have that reassurance that her daughter won't have to go through what she did.

The idea of Alpha!Nancy slowly becoming physically affectionate in public with Omega!Robin once they start dating/courting is rotting in my brain right now.
I have a AU in my head where arranged marriages are considered the norm in ABO culture, but it's encouraged for alpha and beta youth to explore themselves after presenting in order to gain some real-life experience.
Omegas, however, tend to be treated different depending on the religious views of their families and culture.
Robin comes from a poor family in Hawkins, although their family history goes far back to the town's founding. Her parents have the wonderful idea of arranging a betrothal for her during her Sophomore year, and Robin's scared as hell about what that means. She tries to run away several times, only to return later because she has no way of driving or supporting herself at this point.
Her friends don't see the big deal; it's normal for betrothals to be formed in order to foster community relations, and because parents are typically viewed as 'knowing what's best' for their offspring. She barely gets along with her group anymore, and her parents don't actually seem to see her when it comes to what she wants.
Eventually she gets the nerve to tell her parents that, at the very least, she cannot be paired with a male. They seem to get it, although that severely limits her options. There aren't many female alphas around her age group, and those that are there tend to migrate towards male omegas in order to keep up the "Adam and Eve" religious theme that dominates Christian culture.
Everything happens the same in the show, and following the Battle of Starcourt, after she has her first heat (besides her presentation), her parents inform Robin that they've found her a match that should please her. It's customary for the courting alpha to first make their intentions known by offering a gift picked out by the omega's parents before the omega is told of their identity, and Robin is left with little information on which family her parents organized her betrothal with.
To make matters worse, the whole Upside-Down group is currently being rocked by the Byers (and El) moving away, Jonathan and Nancy's unexpected break up, Max's slow distancing of herself, and Robin's new spot in the group.
By the time the Summer is over, Robin's ready to get back into the swing of school. She doesn't think of her loaming betrothal, or her mysterious future-mate. Robin figures she'll probably run away before things get serious anyway- Operation Croissant is still a possibility after all.
Steve is a good friend and listens to her worries, but he's got a weird gleam in his eye- like there's something he knows but can't say. He's shifty when confronted, and Robin eventually just excuses his behavior as him being distract or busy with his complicated love-life (she's so envious of the freedom his parents give him to date who he wants, even if it's only because they never have time for this son anymore).
The remaining kids seem oddly interested in her life as well. Mike's constantly asking her questions, wanting advice, trying to learn everything he can about her. Robin's not too weirded out by it, she knows he's probably trying to make up for El and Will's absence. Dustin and Lucas are a bit more reserved, but no less friendly, while Max unofficially adopts her as a big sister in a surprising turn of events.
She never sees Nancy, although she hears through the grapevine that the girl's been fighting with her parents lately- something that's gotten worse ever since the alpha's breakup with Jonathan. Robin doesn't push it there, since Nancy hasn't really given her any real reason to consider themselves' friends.
Her parents stay up late the night before the first day of Senior Year. She hears them on the phone, softly talking with someone else about whether or not their daughter has the 'gift' ready, and if everything was still good to go. She knows right away that they're talking about the betrothal gift, and Robin's terrified to realize that the courtship process was going to start soon.
She's completely unprepared to be greeted first thing in the morning by a frowning Nancy Wheeler, who arrives at her house instead of Steve to take her to school. Her parents are giddy the whole time, and Robin has a gnawing feeling in her gut that won't go away. Nancy drives in silence, hands tightly gripping the steering wheel. She's obviously upset, but at least had the consideration to wear scent suppressers so it didn't overwhelm the omega. Robin barely reacts when they pull into the parking lot, find a spot, and sit in the car blankly for a few minutes- watching the other students go by.
Nancy finally asks her if she knows what's going on, and Robin swallows uneasily but replies that she has a pretty good idea. Nancy sighs in response and pulls out a small bracelet box- a rather expensive one too. She gently opens it to show the omega the beautiful piece of jewelry within, and Robin feels her heart shudder in her chest. It's a silver piece, with dark gems cut into leaf-life shapes decorating it. It's not something she'd usually wear, but it goes well with her colors and style. Robin hates how much she actually likes it. Nancy reaches over and fastens the bracelet around her wrist, something tight and unhappy in her expression.
Robin realizes with a sinking heart that this must be what caused her breakup with Jonathan. Nancy looks at her so intently- there's anger, but it's not directed at her. Still, she understands the hesitation in the alpha's gaze. Despite the craziness of the last summer, they barely know each other, and Nancy's just lost the person who many thought was her soulmate.
Robin knows without thinking that she can't possibly compete with that.
Still, Nancy is oddly pensive. More students start to arrive, and Robin knows they're going to get a lot of rumors flying around now that this seems to be official. She doesn't know how she's going to handle it- she doesn't know how she's going to handle Nancy. This whole situation is properly fucked.
Finally, the alpha talks and Robin tries to listen without letting her own nerves show. She knows what's expected of her now, she doesn't want to give Nancy any more reason to hate this. Not when they're still not exactly sure what this is. (beyond the whole betrothal aspect of their, still very new, relationship).
However, she doesn't expect Nancy to tell her to get out of the car, because they're going to be late. She doesn't expect to be so hurt by the way Nancy disappears into the crowds as soon as she's able to. She doesn't expect the ache in her chest to form so easily, but Robin knows it was going to show up sooner or later either way.

TELL US EVERYTHING ABOUT UR OCS!! id love to hear!!
OKAY OKAY SO I ALSO DID SOME SKETCHES EHEHHEHE
Rose Seed (aka my beloved Dark Fae) is one of the first OCs I created (circa 2011/12/13, something like that). He was my pony oc, of course, because this is where I started hahahah. He was always the gayest looking out of all of my characters, despite being straight. I changed that of course, now he's fruitier than a garden full of apples. He's a poor unfortunate soul who has to entertain the rich folk from different realms when they visit The End Realm for some political shit to do with Raff. He's a boy toy and a twink, but he's also very very talented, especially in singing. It was always his passion. Dark Faes are the outcasts of the Fae race, so he pretends to be a Love Fae, the most respectable kind who usually hang around rich people.
Tumblr media
I must admit, I created Tim (the butler) just so that Rose can have a Husk to his Angel Dust hahaha. He's from the Human Realm, but it is not to be compared with our world. Magic and stuff still exists there but it's prohibited and anyone who's spotted using magic of any sort is exiles. Which leads us to Tim, who was extremely rich and famous and owned a casino. Money wasn't enough, so he gambled souls. He cheated all the time, of course, never lost, and if he was close to losing, he would trick his opponents to give up. An egotistical asshole is what he is, but he can also be a sweetheart.
Tumblr media
I care a lot about Eru because they used to be a parent. They only became a parent when they got to the End Realm. They were violent, which is why they were exiled from their church. But they changed for their son. They lost him to Raff's servants - Shadows - and made it their mission to avenge. When they meet Milo, Raff's son who's the same age as Eru's son was, when he died, they soften up. Which was the first mistake they've made. Milo isn't a normal child. He's kept isolated from the world, no one knows he exists, no one knows what he is and what he's capable of. (also i forgot to draw Eru's wings here, apologies ahhahaha)
Tumblr media
The best arc is probably Amelie and Raff. Amelie was exiled from the Occult Realm for being weak, but she can be fucking feral if she wants to and it gained her power and respect in the End Realm. But when Raff arrived, he beat her and took her down, taking her place as the highest overlord and she becomes a mere maid, who hides her immense powers. Rose and Tim, who also work alongside her, really REALLY want her to use her powers but she refuses. She'll snap at some point, of course. Everyone does.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YEAH ANYWAY I DIDN'T DRAW ANYTHING FOR POLEN BUT
She's amazing. I promise. She's THE woman ever, caring about everyone. Strong, yet selfless, which is her biggest weakness that makes her lose one very important battle... But for now she wants to avenge Rose, who was her best friend despite being an outcast of the Fae society. Of course, they fell apart when Rose joined Raff, but she still cares for him and wants him to be free again. She also wishes that the old overlord - a powerful yet caring succubus - took his place again, but oohhhh she disappeared and no one knows where she iiiisssss [pointing at Amelie]. Yeah, Polen is clueless that it's her.
YEAH ANYWAY WHAT DO YOU THINK ALIGEUHLAIUEHGLA I HAVE MORE
YOU CAN ALSO ASK THE CHARACTERS SOMETHING, I'D LOVE TO DRAW SOME ANSWERS!!!!

Some bits from episode 10/chapter 16:
Tumblr media
Fake dad totally not caring about his fake daughter developing a social conscience. Giving Anya lifelong lessons For The MissionTM and only.
Tumblr media
I wonder how natural it is for him to be so understanding. Despite his stress multiplying with the realization that Anya can't earn Stellas from volunteering, he's still got enough wits and/or sympathy about him that he's being supportive of Anya. He thinks Anya doesn't know of his Stella plan, and that he has to tread carefully so that she won't be discouraged so he knows he has to control his feelings and be as supportive of her as possible... But I think we're meant to see that as part of his real self coming out. Even in his thoughts, he doesn't burst out on or blame Anya. And he knows both how to recognize the mistake without sugarcoating it, and how to show support even though he's starting to lose hope of Anya ever getting eight Stellas.
Then, the moment of Anya fearing Loid's reaction if he learns about her powers.
Tumblr media
This one also connects to her later on not admitting her powers to Yor or Loid and instead depending on her ketchup message in order to stop the bomb from going off, her dad from dying, and the war from breaking out. She'll do her best, even take the most desperate measures in order to help as much as she can, but she seems genuinely terrified of her secret being known. She's already aware of how it could break the family apart - as I mentioned in another post, if Loid and Yor find out she knows about them, high chances are they'll leave - or at least, that's what she fears at this point.
The scientists at the lab used to tell her that they wanted to study her powers so that they could achieve world peace, and that's something she wants too, but she seems to be so traumatized by her experience there that she'd rather take some very dangerous matters into her own little hands over exposing her secret and risking going back there. Something that would make her almost unlikable if she wasn't a five-year-old acting her age. She doesn't appear selfish and senseless, she appears terrified of being caught again, yet kind, smart and brave enough to find a way to save someone from dying without anyone becoming suspicious of her.
And her realization that her powers can help people...
Tumblr media
That's another thing that makes me wonder, especially since the flashback of the scientists telling her her powers can bring world peace occurs at the very first chapter/episode. Sure there's a chance that the scientists were lying, but Anya doesn't know that... Or does she? Was one of the reasons she escaped the realization that they wanted to use her powers to hurt others? This would make her realization here even more meaningful. That she went from a tool the government would use to gain more power, to a fighter for peace who can also individually save lives.
And finally, the very important PSA Loid delivers about children drowning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean, he's probably very serious about it because it is a very serious subject (and even if the physiotherapist in the story didn't need it, it's never a bad reminder for the audience). So that's probably me again looking for opportunities for angst, but I can't help wondering if he has personal experience with that.
(No manga spoilers please)

Possible Next Gen (Maybe?)
So only one maybe two of these will be canonical for the next gen I'm working on. (One in particular will not be but will probably be put in a separate AU. First off let me start by saying thank you to LeonTheDemon on Toyhouse for designing these characters for me, they're honestly gorgeous and I can't wait to find a place for them. First off is one who will definitely be in it. I have decided to make Eris a little brother. The age difference will range from 2 to 4 years of a difference. Not big enough to really make a huge deal of it. He will also be the future love interest to Harper/Raziel. His name is Liam Samael Morningstar
Tumblr media
Why him, honestly why not. Nothing would piss off Lute more then her first and only child being attracted to the son of her enemy. Say hello to Liam Morningstar. His personality leans a bit more towards his mama (Vaggie), he's stern a little grumpy and a bit of a realist in most situations. Gaining his trust and loyalty will earn you a good friend in the long run. He has his mama's temper as well, if you know what buttons to push you'll have hell to pay, pun very much intended. Little Quirks/traits - The x in his eye is actually not an issue, in fact the x works to his advantage, people mistake it for him being unable to see but it's fully functional and it's capable of sensing where the weakest spot on his enemy is. - He has a close relationship with his sister, to no one's surprise but his cousin and him don't always see eye to eye and often argue, he isn't huge on Molly either. -------- Next we have my possible replacement for Lila, Estelle Carmine.
Tumblr media
She is the daughter of Zestial and Carmilla Carmine. Her buggy appearance from her father's side, shines in a lot more. I am not sure if she'll be apart of the next gen I'm working on. That's still in the air. Personality: She's oddly calm, very forthcoming and highly intelligent, she was and has been trained by her mother, do not let her looks fool you.. On second thought, let them fool you. She'll take more joy out of surprising you. Little Quirks/traits - She's actually quite flirty, which is another way she gets her enemies off their guard. - Estelle's antennae allow her to sense movement from all directions, she senses the air motion as well as vibrations. Yes they're also capable of smell and touch but that is one of the few things that bother her. ------ Last but not least.. I've jumped on the bandwagon and had a Radio Apple child made. Why because I have no self control and honestly the design potential is just too good. So everyone say hello to Minerva Mae Morningstar.
Tumblr media
Everyone say hello to Minerva, so for her I really wanted to inherit some of the "Seraphim qualities" that Lucifer possibly had at one point and figured hey why not put it into one of his kids. Hence the blue iris colors, the red obviously comes from Alastor. Now I know looking at her she looks pretty intimidating right. Well don't judge a book by it's cover because she is actually different from many of the Radio Apple children I've noticed. I decided that while its fun to make a chaotic child, it's even more fun to subvert expectations. Minerva takes more after the angelic side of her family, she's got a pretty gentle and kind demeanor and prefers to talk out her problems instead of outright using violence. All in all she's a lot sweeter then she looks. Little quirks/traits. - She has Alastor's ears and smile but purposely hides them. She knows the smile is eerie to people so she does her best not too which results in her just looking rude when she has a solemn face twenty four seven. The ears, she just personally doesn't like them and they're super sensitive to sound. Sometimes her ears perk which often knocks off her hat. - Her outfit was designed by Rosie, yes she's aware pink stands out more but she doesn't mind. - Her eyes have a sense of holy magic in them, so she's capable of spotting honesty and virtue in the sinners she bumps into. - She is very insecure of her looks. Why, why not. However she does find a friend in a dog much like Lucius. I am trying to get some kind of pitbull demon lookin thing. Misunderstood babies who just need love.

tw: eating disorder and venting
i offered a friend to stay with me since she needed a place, but she's got an eating disorder and tries to stays at 12% body fat year round which is very difficult for a female, like entry level body building qualifier, and she wants to stay with me because i like exercising and she thinks we can be accountability partners to stay fit and while having a workout partner would be nice, i don't want to be used in that way.
i told her outright that it's not healthy to think of herself as disgusting because she's gained some weight, and that also, fitness can't be this thing that's all tied up in aesthetics. you gotta do exercise for yourself, and it's ok to enjoy the benefits of a healthy body like feeling the endorphins and being strong and easily buying clothes, but having your personal fitness so closely linked to maintaining an aesthetic standard that only becomes more difficult as you age is a losing game.
it's frustrating for me that she complains about her weight gain preventing her from wanting to work out and it makes me feel like she's judging everyone else's weight and it makes me uncomfortable because i feel like if we do live together, i'm gonna feel that judgement when i eat. like i'll subconsciously eat less because she does?
she's definitely depressed and acknowledges her way of thinking is not logical or kind but isn't working to get past that. i am afraid being around that is going to influence me in a bad way. maybe that sounds so stupid but i'm really sensitive to others around me. most people are not lean and their bodies shouldn't be considered disgusting. it seems hateful to so admonish your own body. i can kinda relate to it bc i am trans but i'm also at the point where i'm like, you gotta accept some things about yourself instead of hating it all the time because it doesn't do you any good! i'm not gonna grow 4 inches or get a fucking insane surgery to make my limbs longer!! your aesthetic preoccupation with yourself does not serve you!!
i hate that we idealize images of people who have muscles but are only "magazine ready" when they've starved and dehydrated themselves to appear in those images. at their leanest, aesthetic athletes fucking hate their lives! have no libido, the body is crying out to be nourished beyond anything else. the way we continually idealize this is disturbing to me.
i've extended an offer to try and be kind to her because she's really depressed but it feels like if we go ahead, i'm gonna get used to be like...a fitness pal enabling an eating disorder. if i rescind the offer to try and protect myself and her, to some extent, she'll probably think i'm being a selfish and lazy asshole. i don't even know how to start that conversation, like, hey you know when i called out that you have really unhealthy thoughts about your body? well i don't want to be around you because i'm afraid it'll hurt me??? ugh what can i even do

StarSwinger
13/06/2023
This is basically an info dump on my ATSV oc.
Story:
So I've come up with this neat idea for a spider person. Her name's StarSwinger and she's blind. Her actual name is Stella Bennet and she's a 17 year old aroace person looking to become a historian (and an activist for human rights because the human rights in her dimension are shit)
She was bit at the age of 15 in her science class, they were learning about spiders and her teacher had brought in some spiders for the class to observe. So Stella's sitting back and listening to a video on spiders because her teacher is nice and gave her a list of videos explaining everything about the species that had been brought in.
One of the spiders slipped out of the habitat and bit her. It wasn't too big of a deal cause the spiders weren't venomous but that spider had been exposed to a radioactive substance and this bite resulted in Stella gaining spider based powers.
Because Stella had been blind her whole life her other senses were very heightened but with this new power she becomes able to hear everything including a change in the wind as well as feel changes in her environment like the vibrations of people stepping and stuff.
She tells her step sister, Adelaide, about these powers she's just gotten and Adelaide, who happens to be an art and textiles student makes her a super-hero costume as a joke. It's prussian blue with yellow around the eyes, one eye just has a thin line but the others marking resembles a star. I'll probably make some updates to this costume though.(i'll upload a ref sheet at a later date)
A few days after receiving the costume this universes version of Doc Ock attacks and Stella ends up actually using this costume to fight her. From this moment on Stella starts using the alias StarSwinger to protect her city.
Her style of fighting is close to how a spider catches its prey, she puts up webs all around the area she's fighting in that means if anything touches the webs she'll be made aware of the mass of the thing as well as what part of her web it's come from. She also uses her extremally heightened sense to detect disturbed patches of air to figure out where the villain is.
These are the websites I got the spider info from, they do contain pictures of spiders so don't look at it if you don't want to see that: https://australian.museum/learn/animals/spiders/prey-capture-and-feeding/ https://www.wildlifesydney.com.au/information/news/how-do-spiders-catch-their-prey-1/ https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/140605-spiders-silk-webs-pluck-string-vibrations
She was 16 when her canon event happened. She was fighting some crazy overpowered guy and realises that this villain was pushing her out of the web zone (area where she's set up the webs) so StarSwinger's putting up more and more webs as this fight goes on but this guy is coming at her crazy fast and is aiming for her heart.
She's then alerted that there is someone really close to them, at this point she doesn't know if its a friend or foe so she remains focused on this main guy she's fighting. After a while she's knocked down and knows she's about to receive the killing blow when this person who she still doesn't know jumps in front of her and takes the strike for her.
This villain retreats cause that was not part of their plan and StarSwinger's left alone with this dying person who just sacrificed their life for her and she asks who they are and why they would do that for her and the person responds with.
"You would do it for me, you risk you're life for this city everyday they need you. " and it turns out that Adelaide's the one who's currently about to die and Stella's crying because she's holding the one person who knows that she's StarSwinger, the one person she can talk to.
Stella starts apologising over and over again but Adelaide tells her to stop because if she had the chance to go back she would make the same decision every time and she tells Stella not to give up because she's so much stronger than she believes.
Adelaide dies in StarSwingers arms but Stella knows that she has to keep going so her sisters sacrifice was not in vain. She vows to protect the city at any cost and she vows to make the ones that killed her sister pay.
---------------
Background Info:
So as a side note to the story I want her universe to be pretty far behind ours on human rights so minorities are very much disrespected and targets in their society. StarSwinger is the key to opening peoples eyes to show their world that disabilities are not a burden and to show her world that she is strong.
She's a third Italian a third Filipino and a third Welsh.
She's aromantic and asexual.
She's in a platonic relationship with a boy names James.
Her full name is Stella Santos Lian Bennet
Her step sisters full name is Adelaide Kara McKent
Her fathers full name is Owen Seren Bennet
Her step mothers full name is Jesse Kurulbrang Koorla McKent
---------------
That's all I've figured out so far cause I don't really have any idea what I'm doing. I'm 14 and I've tried to do all the research I can to make her story accurate but please tell me if I should take anything into account when it comes to the fact that she's blind. I don't mean any disrespect so I'd appreciate some feedback.

So the week didn't turn out quite as overwhelming as I expected, some of my plans getting canceled, consolidated, or delayed. Didn't finish the social media gig yet. Both botanic garden free days were rainy - I'd hoped to catch the tulips there for once, but I guess it still wasn't meant to be. Two family days were reduced to one: My grandfather's name day party was on Mother's Day, on which my mother was supposed to work, but she got rescheduled. Saved me an extra drive and gave me an easy excuse to leave the party - which I stopped by first - early.
Had a small bit of tension with my father via text last night, which we both contributed to, but in retrospect I feel I didn't have the best reactions to things and it was all very unnecessary, and I've kicked myself for it a bit. I think my judgment was clouded by the negative mood I was in.
As usual, I ran late, but not later than everyone else. We had Chinese food from Chi Tung, a restaurant all the way in Evergreen Park everyone likes so much they still drive there to get food for parties, long past anyone's residence in the area. My father was on the more irritable side of his spectrum, but nothing over the top. The most potentially obnoxious people in the family are all often mellowed out these days, from tiredness or old age. My grandfather's not doing as terribly as I imagined he might be - he's still relatively oriented and recognizes everyone, at least.
My father's rich little sister has slowly been piling on plastic surgery. First implants, then a nose job, now fake-looking lip fillers and probably some other work on her face. She was always the beauty of the family, and the golden child for this reason. She was taught from the beginning it was the most important thing about her, and it's always been the center of her world, and the source of all good things. Always used her beauty and charm to wrap people - especially men - around her little finger and get what she wanted. Which is how she ended up where she did: married to a rich guy who brings in all the money so she never has to work, able to have whatever she wants, including every effort to maintain or enhance her beauty.
And as aging has crept in, the efforts have ramped up. I always wondered if she'd be able to make peace with the gradual loss of her beauty, or find a different focus in life, something else to define herself by. She'd gained a bit more depth and maturity with age - it wasn't entirely inconceivable. But no, I think it really is an existential threat. And I don't know how far she'll go in her desperation to hamper it - or if she'll reach a point where it's no longer possible, and life feels impossible to live. (This is, by the way, the healthiest person in my father's family. This is as good as it gets.)
I saw her in a natural state of aging once, in passing, a couple of years ago - it looked like she had aged a decade since I last saw her; it was, in fact, more would even seem normal for her age. She's always done a lot of tanning, so she does a ton of sun damage to her skin. So I thought, I guess it's finally caught up to her. She seemed unusually shy and uncomfortable. And I wondered if that was it? If a crisis and change of priorities were forthcoming? And yet, she has her money and her miracle cures. By the next time I saw her, the wrinkles were all gone, the confidence all back. She does her damage, and then she does her procedures to fix it. Which has worked out... for now.
And I mean, I've had my share of worries about aging too - and I can't deny it feels good to keep it at bay. But at some point, you've gotta accept that, even with good self-care efforts, it's slowly going to happen... right? And making yourself look fake isn't going to make anything better.
Anyway, I wrapped things up there in about an hour and went to my mother's house, where both of us did a pretty good job being pleasant. I brought her flowers and we sat in the yard for a while. She gave me coffee and fruit and sushi. I shared some father-family gossip for her enjoyment. She told me about her latest Poland trip plans and a trip she'd like to take with me for her 60th birthday. We drove to a forest preserve with the dog and walked. It occurred to me how old that dog is - almost eight now? Almost a senior? I've always thought of her as so very young, a girl just starting to make her way in the world. It's easy to forget how quickly our pets age and go.
All in all, it was about as non-overwhelming a day as it could be, and a much better Mother's Day than last year's.
Now I'm reattuned to my own life, reattuned to the overwhelming priority that is making more money, and the secondary priority that is catching up on the chores I've fallen way behind on again. It's the midst of spring, yet part of me just wants to shut myself inside and work and work and work.

mobile suit gundam seed episode 6-10 fast thoughts
been a bit since i did this huh. I covered the first 5 episodes a bit ago so to briefly summarize those ones i thought episodes 1-5 were: i thought that despite all of the shows later problems and some early problems in terms of pacing and repetition they were fairly solid episodes for what they were, being referential to the original 0079 without being overly reliant on replicating it beat for beat. this is also kira at his most tolerable as a character ironically because its also kira at his most overtly scared and dissatisfied creating the early impression of someone who proclaims to pacifism less out of genuine belief in its values and more because of a deep seated fear of killing or dying.
6-10 episode thoughts time, with inherent pattern or play by play:
-flay starts to be more of an actual character with prescience here and i'll admit i actually rather enjoy her usage as a character during this early stage as someone who inadvertently complicates things and whos privilege of wealth and popularity has inoculated her from consequence until now. shes daddies lil rich girl and has an appropriately coloured view, well also having yet hit her soap opera scorned woman phase as it were. which in retrospect is probably going to be when all this nice believablity of character gets tossed out the window.
-im kinda surprised how much i actually like sai? he definitely feels like the most important of kiras friends/secondary character undertaking a sort of parallel development along with kira at the moment. it also cements in my mind that sais probably should have been the friend athrun kills later on instead of tolle. tolles fine mind you but his relation to kira feels a lot less significant compared to sai and it would have naturally jelled with the on going 'flay tries to manipulate people for her gain' subplot to have sai be the one insisting on pilot lessons and eventually getting killed in combat right infront of kira. and if ya really wanna have that dereka miriallia thing you can have the archangel sustain damage that ends up killing tolle because of dereka giving more significance to that plotline as well.
-given what i remember of her later on, lacus feels remarkably like a human being when ya first meet her being portrayed as fairly clueless about the negative feelings of others [such as when she starts signing the one pop song she knows in the middle of a battle until flay yells at her] and somewhat lost in her own world wandering the ship seemingly without a clue on how tense the situation is. you can see the issue with her character as it were however pop its head as early as episode 10 though when she suddenly turns on 'stern authoritative politician voice' to diffuse the immediate situation because it feels too tonally dissonant with her portrayal as flower child newtype character until that point. its not that it couldn't have worked, having a character thats all soft frills new age psychic on the outside only to reveal astute politician and leader on the inside could make an interesting subversion of expectation especially given how lacus also plays off idol culture in japan and idols are typically expected to act a certain way [it can be a scandal for idols to have romantic partners for instance because it pollutes the pure uwu i can be your girlfriend image they're expected to have]. further if we're to consider her the equivalent of the laylah for seed it adds an interesting arguably progressive inversion of that dynamic where lacus more so wears the pants compared to athrun so to speak. where it stumbles I think is that its not really treated as an opportunity to express character its more so treated as a mechanical device to get the plot moving which as a consequence results in lacus not really having a character of her own. we need to have a tense build up and moment of holding her hostage for ethical questions moments so she'll be hippy flower child here, but we need to get rau to fuck off so not only will he arbitrarily obey her orders despite otherwise being an agent of chaos lacus herself will suddenly switch to a authoritative and stern voiced politician leader. flower child well helping kira heal and steal the freedom or getting athruns ass in gear, stoic war leader for when we actually get into combat. it makes her come across as needlessly manipulative for a character that i really dont think is suppose to come across that way. which only gets worse once destiny comes around and you have natural and talented leader lacus fucking off to play hippy flower child as zaft cautiously rebuilds itself only to eventually take control of zaft at destinys end anyways.
-again a pacing issue here where we probably coulda condensed everything that happened into half the time. mood and atmosphere are important to stories dont get me wrong, but brevity is the breath of wit [i know i ramble a lot myself but i stand by this] in writing a lot of the time and we really didnt need to have lacus sing that same fucking song 4 times in a row to get the point and atmosphere across. 2 times would have sufficed fine.
-i like scavenging ice from juinius seven it has an appropriate sombre atmosphere to it, i like the imagery of the space paper flowers for a drive by funeral, and i like the unease with their own morality it inspires in the earth alliance regulars even if its just a question in the moment as it helps lay down the idea that maybe the right thing to do is abandoning their side. like everything related to juinius 7 and the earth alliance as a whole though it just lays down this comically stupidly evil impression of the earth alliance that it becomes impossible to accept any claim of moral relativism or a grey area in terms of this war when the enemy zaft is fighting nukes its political enemies into submission and refuses to recognize its opponents as even being human on the upper levels of command. or in other words, like a lot of gundam fans we're confusing and treating the earth federation as the titans when the earth federation in 0079 and other tomino works was mostly just incompetent as opposed to stupidly evil. like the titans. which i suppose is why zaft has to go all neo zeon on everyones asses near the end if we're to pretend to any amount of grey morality in terms of this war.

"You remember when I took you out for milkshakes and you spilled yours all over me? You were wearing that exact same color," Lee said pointing at the dress she was pressing.
"All those years ago, and you still remember that?" Y/n wanted to drown in this tender moment she's having with her husband. Hearing him laugh, his stomach shifting, and his eyes wrinkling.
"How could I? Watching you get all flustered and cute really got me goin’. It's when I knew I was gonna marry ya."
The days have been incredibly warm and beautiful since Y/n had done what she did. It was cruel irony that she was enjoying another day while someone’s body was rotting. The softer moments of life were few and far between these days, but right now she’s offered her a wonderful distraction.
She had taken on more tasks than usual to distract herself from the intrusive thoughts she had. She even accepted a last minute invite to help put on an event at the local rental hall with some of the other mothers in town. It gave her an excuse to look nice and show herself off to anyone who had some doubts about Lee. Things were looking good for him, but there was always something to do to further rehabilitate his image. She always looked her best as the sheriff's wife. Keeping up the appearances exhausted her since they have become more frequent for her. However if she wanted the people to fawn over her lovely family, she had to show up. An arts and crafts event for the kids is also a good chance to get their daughter out of the house.
Teenage Y/n did not see herself becoming a housewife so young. It was unsavory to think about being a homemaker for one of the boys’ at school. She surmised that she would’ve stuck by her original plan if she had not been so lonely. All of Y/n's friends left within a year of graduating high school. She didn't have that many friends to begin with, but she thought that at least one would always be there for her. Rose went to college, and Barbara found a man to marry and moved to upstate New York. Only one stayed for some time, Judith, but she eventually left after having a shotgun wedding. It was selfish of her to think that someone would stay just because she got rejected from the only college she had applied to. Other people had lives and Y/n was just not at the center of them.
The absence of her friends made her pregnancy more lonely. Her baby shower consisted of her family, Lee’s sister, and his co-workers and their wives. None of the women seemed to be fond of Y/n. It always plagued her mind to know if they thought she was too young and stupid or if it was just something else
She found solace in some of the other mother's in town. When she began showing up around to volunteer at bake sales and food drives she expected them to look at her face and then down at her belly and reject her. She is younger than them and feared they'd find her naïve. She had kept to herself for so long that she thought they'd write her off as the sheriff's meek wife.
Y/n didn't get a chance to mingle with anyone prior to her marriage and Lee made it harder by insisting in little ways that she stay in the house. No one was at fault that Lee wanted to keep her to himself. It was possible he did it out of insecurity, but Y/n now speculates that it was because he didn’t want to hear or even see what he may have been doing.
One of the ladies who Y/n only knew by her dark hair and distinct, pointy nose joked that Lee had, "finally let Rapunzel out of the castle." When the other mothers joined into laughter, she felt small. It was only a harmless joke that was steeped in the truth. It took her persistence to no longer wanting to feel alone while being pregnant to get the women to warm up to her, and the did.
"I remember spilling the milkshake, but I was too embarrassed to remember anything else about that night," she admitted.
Lee remembers that night very well. He wishes that she didn't end the night so quickly because she ruined a pair of trousers that could easily be replaced. He had only bought them to impress her, but it didn't take much to get her to swoon over him. No other man was giving her the time of day.
"We should go out to that diner Friday night. Now that we have someone to watch the little one, we don't have to stop by your parents to drop her off anymore. I can just scoop you up and we can have a night together," Lee pressed himself into Y/n's backside. She giggled when his hands lightly danced against her ticklish sides.
Lee had also been aware of the slim moments of intimacy with his wife. He was serious about this race but he truly underestimated how much time and effort he'd have to put into this. But people really did love the old mayor. The only slight Lee had against him was his old age and how some believed that if he kept going then he might run into some health problems. The rumors about him becoming more and more forgetful were minute compared to the dark gossip swirling about Lee though. Some of the people in town would probably vote for a paper bag before Lee.
His biggest fear is that he loses the election and drives his wife away. He could lose the race, but if his wife somehow slipped away, taking their baby with her, he’d drink himself into a stupor. Lee tried his very best to hide his insecurities from her. When he worried, she worried too and it made it much harder for him to plan his way out of whatever hole he is in when he has a hysterical wife to deal with. That's why he'd rather not tell her anything.
Lee also wasn't the young man in his prime anymore, he believed that his good looks were fading, and he has gained a considerable amount of weight. The fear of Y/n just up and leaving him for someone younger than him and riding off to the city always plagued him. The birth of their daughter should've assuaged him, but his self-doubt always lingered like a cloud that made him stick to his vices.
"I've really missed ya honey...missed this body of yours."
Y/n flinched when his hands ran down the front of her body, over her stomach and then circling up back to her breast. Her body has changed considerably since giving birth and the hormonal imbalance left her feeling tired, sad, and alone. Her mother told her that all she had to do was look at her child and she'd feel better, but every time she looked at her little girl all she did was worry. Was she a good mom? Why was her daughter crying so much without much working? Was Lee staying at work for long hours to avoid the crying and her? Did he still find her attractive?
They’re both too busy thinking Lee's mayoral bid to realize they felt the exact same way as each other. If there was any other time that proved they were an extension of each other, it was now, but they were too blind to see it.
"Lee y-you're going to be late for work," her voice was weakened by his lips now nipping at her neck.
"Don't give a damn," he whispered against her skin, inhaling her familiar scent, "just wanna feel my wife."
Today, Y/n felt herself slipping back into her normal self and normal life. She melted into Lee, hoping that maybe they could have a moment to themselves, but they were interrupted by the phone ringing downstairs. Every early morning and late night phone call had her on edge. They never seemed to be about anything important but it hasn't failed yet to make her stomach churn.
Lee groaned and pulled away from her. She watched him disappear to go answer the phone.
It has been nearly two days and the only thing on her mind is what happened after she left that brothel. The anxiety made her feel sick. Hours later after it happened, around 2 a.m., she woke up and darted to the toilet. Lee kept asking her if she was pregnant as he held her hair back while her face was in the toilet. She dismissed his claims, knowing full and well that she was just sickened by her actions.
Lee had not mentioned a death or anything related to that brothel, so had he even been found? Was his death even reported? The girls who worked for him were probably too worried about their own arrest than the death of their abusive boss.
She wiped the look of worry off of her face when she heard his heavy footsteps coming back up the stairs.
"Who was it?"
"Your brother," his tone held disgust, "invited us to dinner on Sunday. He asked to speak to you but I told him you were still sleep."
"Lee!"
"I don't want to hear it," his voice boomed, much more dominant and rough than hers, "I ain't having dinner with him and I don't want to hear your mouth about it."
Y/n stayed silent and watched him grab the police hat resting on the dresser. She hated for him to leave on such a sour note, but she wouldn't dare say anything in fear she might make things worse.
He started towards the door of their bedroom before turning back to his wife, "Sandy supposed to stop by Saturday. I don't know why, so don't ask, but she claims she's comin'. Who knows if she'll stick to her word."
It’s like Lee did that on purpose, as some sort of sick payback for her brother calling. Y/n was not fond of Sandy and did not like to be around her for more than ten minutes. Sandy was a nice girl, a bit unsavory at times, but her husband Carl was a stain on her life. There was something about him that reminded her of the men her mother had warned her about when she was a young teenager; a man with a slick tongue and a creepy air around him. However, she found Carl much more sinister than that. The look in Carl's eyes when he looked at her and flashed her that unsettling smile was imprinted into her brain. They did not come around much, but when they did it was always a traumatic experience for Y/n.
Lee left the room before Y/n could respond. He knows how Y/n feels, but he can’t bring himself to care right now. She’s not going to protest against it because she knows better than that. He focused on the sound of soft babbling from his daughter as he walked into her room.
"Hey you," she looked up at him with her big eyes and her widening smile that made his heart swell, "you gonna be good for your mama? You've been on a mean streak lately and I'd hate to make good on my threat and put you in baby jail."
His daughter reached up and tried to grab at his face. Lee was clean-shaven now, but for the first few months of his daughter's life he had enough hair on his face for her to grab a hold of. It was funny to see how she still tried to grab at his non-existent hair, pinching his skin in the process.
"Miss the beard little lady? You're just like your mama," he kissed her forehead and felt a deep sense of guilt that he had to leave her to go to work. But everything he did was for her and if he believes that the long hours are going to pay off. All of his work is going to pay off when he wins that race.
-
The dress her daughter wore was blush to complement her mother's golden one. She looked around at every single building and person they passed as if it was her first time seeing it again. Her sense of wonder always made Y/n adore her even more. Y/n wondered what was going on in the little mind of her and what sense she made of the world.
She was never fussy when they were out, which was good for Y/n, but also good for the rehabilitation of Lee's image. He has such a good daughter and pretty wife, he must be doing something right. Every single person who stopped to say hi or coo at how cute her baby was, Y/n wondered if they have ever said something negative about Lee. Y/n never received weird stares or grimaces that would make her paranoid, but she still felt on edge. She always wanted to be on her best behavior, especially when Lee was not with her.
Y/n was forced to be her normal self; cheerful even though her mind was reeling over two nights ago, her sister-in-law, and what the conversation between Lee and her brother this morning may have sounded like. When one of the toddlers thrusted their drawing her face she feigned an excited smile. She hoped the mother's didn't notice her lackluster attitude.
"Y/n , can I speak with you?"
It was Sally's voice that called to her. She looked at the blonde woman with a bit of panic on her face. She thought that she was going to get chewed out by her, especially since she pulled her far away from the other children, and her daughter who was being held by one of the recently graduated girls.
"Is everything alright Sally?"
"I should be asking you that. Why am I hear things about Mrs. Blackwater sayin' she seen your Lee dumpin' bodies in the river behind her house?" At that moment Y/n could not hear her despite her lips still moving. Her blood ran cold at that last name being mentioned. It's been years, close to a decade, since she thought about that old woman, but the mere mention of her name brought Y/n back to a place she didn't want to be.
"I-I...I don't know what she's talking about-"
"My husband and I made a sizable donation to your husband's campaign, and it would be a shame to see him lose," the sugary voice and fake smile on Sally's face made Y/n's stomach ache. She didn't like how some of these women could be so fake because it always made her question if they really liked her or not. But Sally didn't care what Y/n would respond with, all she cared about was her and her husband's reputation, "you're not that much younger than me so you remember them days when that old bitch would be on her porch spewin’ whatever nonsense she could think if at any girl who walked on her sidewalk. No one likes Mrs. Blackwater, but don't think for a second they won't consider what she has to say about that husband of yours. I've heard too many whispers about him and I don't like it. I'll pull my endorsements if you don't fix this shit."
Was murdering one person not enough to save her husband from losing this race? The brothel owner was one person, someone who would not be missed by many people, but could she do something about Mrs. Blackwater?
'That's not right, that's not right.'
No matter how much she tried to shake that evil idea off, it kept creeping into her mind. Murder was the unlikely tool she had in her arsenal all along. It was morally wrong to kill someone, but her victim and the potential one had not been nice people. Mrs. Blackwater's stain on this Earth paled in comparison to Reed's, but that woman made her blood run much colder than the brothel owner.
It was so ironic that Mr. Blackwater was a beloved man in town because no one could stand his wife. They knew not to cross her path and that pies and home cooked meals would not abate her disdain for people. A man who was so kind and friendly was married to the most antisocial person Y/n has ever come across. But he never wasted a moment to sing her her praises. Y/n remembers one of her sons and he was mean just like his mother; a school yard bully that would beat up on anyone he saw as weak and alone. Y/n was lucky that he knew she had an older brother to protect because the Blackwater’s youngest boy never tried anything with her. However, she was not lucky enough to escape the wrath of Mrs. Blackwater. The irony was that she probably would've been better off being a victim of her son. That woman was nasty and wasn't afraid to show it.
"Don't you two get tired of dressing like whores?"
They had to pass the Blackwater house to get to Rose's house. Her house used to be at the end of the street before it got burned down, leaving the Blackwater house the last one on the street. It was nice, and had a big, big porch that Mrs. Blackwater always sat on for most of the day. She didn't stop at calling them just "whores'' and "wenches" either. Y/n never could understand why they always took the brunt of that woman's anger. Rose went home in tears every time she walked by that house. Maybe Y/n's anger is displaced, but she blames Mrs. Blackwater for why Rose was so eager to leave. There wasn't much here, but Rose always promised she'd stay. But ever since they encountered Mrs. Blackwater's misery, Rose had changed.
She could imagine that same venomous voice saying awful things about her husband, "Lee Bodecker put that body in the water. I saw it with my own two eyes!"
The thought of her husband killing someone shouldn't sound so crazy, especially after being able to do it herself. But her Lee can't be a cold-hearted man who slept with whores, murdered people, and ruined people lives. He was so sweet to her, he wasn't always was, but his touch was so soft against her skin, how could he hurt anyone?
Y/n had just turned 19 when she met Lee. He was a deputy, closer to being the sheriff than either of them knew at the time. Their age difference scared her somewhat; she only gave him a chance so she could distract herself from reminding herself that she should be finishing up the last year of being a college freshman. She had the grades and thought her test scores were satisfactory but she got rejected from Indiana University. Her father told her that there is always next year, but her mother told her she should just figure out a new plan.
It was the uncertainty and loneliness that made her get closer to Lee. He was close to his late 20s, unmarried, and he didn't exactly make his loneliness unknown.
He left a sour taste in her mouth in their very first encounter; pulling her over as an excuse to get her number. She gripped the steering wheel to stop them from shaking so much. She only had her license for a few weeks and made sure to be careful in fear of this exact situation happening. His slick talk didn't make her feel that much better either. She was too shaken up to even look at him in the eye or take in any of his features. She just remembered seeing his badge the words DEPUTY SHERIFF etched into it.
Lee let her off, saying she had a "pretty face" and that he hoped to see her around. She didn't think much about their interaction the days after he pulled her over, but she began to see him more than before. Y/n couldn't remember a time she had seen him prior to that one night and found it odd that his face kept reappearing. (He later told her that it was fate, but it was not. Lee purposefully put himself in her orbit. It was not hard to learn what her routine was and when she went out.)
She was weary about his advances, unsure how to react to them because the most experience she's had was with two boys, only one of whom she kissed. Their first date was not by choice either, he just decided to stick by her side while she was at the local dinner by herself.
And he has always stuck by since then, always hovering around her until she realized he was not going to go away and it’d be futile to ignore him. Lee never gave her the chance to make the decision for herself, but his girl was so sweet and she just needed a few cushy words for her to understand that this was where she belonged.
"Do your parents know you're out here meeting me?" It had only been a matter of time before she learned to be very obedient to him; always accepting his plans, even if it meant sneaking out of the house in the midnight hour. The smirk he wore on his face every time he watched her walk up to him left her feeling enchanted.
"Don't talk too loud. If my brother hears you he'll kill you and have my head."
She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her front to him. Lee groaned at the feel of her breast against his chest. She was so nervous to do anything with him that she only let him kiss her. It was fine for a while, but he had grown tired of waiting. Tired of being teased by her in those soft, pink dresses that would ride up whenever she had to bend over even just a little bit. He couldn't believe how naive she was to believe he was always dropping things like a pencil or his wallet on accident; he just wanted to see her bend over for him just for a chance to peak at what pretty panties she wore that day.
Getting her to come out with him at night was surprising, but the idea of riding in his patrol car was so alluring. The sparkle in her eyes gave him an overwhelming sense of machismo; enough for him to realize he just needs to take what she wants.
The full moon hung in the clear sky and they had a vast, open field in front of them. He took her just to the edge of the county that was secluded and was his favorite spot to go for some quiet (or getting his dick sucked). The moonlight and a few street lights that were actually working were the only light they had.
"You look so pretty today baby," his hand rested on her thigh the whole entire drive but only now did he actually move it to stroke her skin, "you always look so pretty for me. I'm the luckiest man in town."
Y/n giggled and her face felt like it was burning up. No one had taken the time to compliment her sweetly, and that was obvious to Lee. He cradled her face in the palm of his hand and watched her turn into putty. His hand inches closer to her heat causing her to jump like his hand was made of actual fire.
"Relax baby...just relax for me," Lee planted his face in her neck and nipped at it. His lips tickled the skin on her neck and she did her best to suppress her giggles but they spilled from her lips. Lee smirked against her skin, "there she is. There's my girl."
She let a laugh slip through, but she suppressed the moan that was stuck in her throat. It was so odd to feel him on her neck but it was an unfamiliar feeling that she liked. His hand never left her thigh, in fact he had sneakily moved it closer to her sex. She felt ashamed about the growing wetness that she could feel sticking to her.
Lee grabbed her hand and placed it right over the bulge straining in his pants. She let out a heavy sigh when she realized what it was. "That's how hard you make me. You making me so fucking hard girl," he growled in her ears. This was something only the senior girls from her high school could dream about when they talked about hooking up with their boyfriends. None of them were even half the man Lee was, and here he was: hard and ready just for her.
"L-Lee," her voice broke into bits, her body overheating from Lee taking control, "wait, can we slow down?"
"You taste so sweet baby," he continued kissing her, ignoring her until she was pulling away from his grasp. "What's wrong girl?" The furrowing of his brow made her worry that she pissed him off. Lee was all she had, he convinced her to put away her dream of going to college and stay here for him, if she ran him off then she'd have nothing else.
"I'm just nervous. I’ve never done this before Lee," she hoped her honesty went a long way and would make him take her home instead. But all it did was make him readjust himself in his seat and pull away from her rather coldly.
Lee was irritated with her, she got him all hard, but he did his best to temper his anger. She's lucky that he was on the job all day and didn't have a chance to drink yet or else she'd see the side of him that he purposely hid from her.
"Don't be nervous baby. You know I love you right?" She nodded her head with her wide eyes holding a sad look in them, "good girl. Let me show you something."
Lee patted his lap and Y/n looked at him with apprehension.
"C'mon now," he patted his lap once again, this time with a bit of impatience in his voice.
Y/n awkwardly shifted over the center console of his patrol car and found herself in his lap. His strong arms wrapped around her waist and he rested his chin on her shoulder. She tried to ignore how his bulge poked at her slit through her cotton panties.
"You ever been in a car this nice before?"
"Uh-uh," she shook her head, somewhat distracted by the beautiful interior and his cock poking at her. The only car she's ever drove was the shitty one that was passed down to her. Lee's patrol car doesn't look like it's more than five years old.
Seeing her look in wonder at the dash made him even harder. He began to rut against her, trying to feel as much friction as he could, but it wasn't enough to satiate a man who has been waiting a few months for this.
He sat back and started fumbling with his pants. Y/n heard the sound of the metal on his belt and unzipping of his pants but she froze on top of him instead of moving. She grabbed the steering wheel and held onto it as tight as she did the night he first laid eyes on her. Her alarm rose when Lee lifted her up a little to push her panties to the side.
"Lee what are you doing-"
"Shhh baby don't worry, I got you."
The sensation of his head poking at her slit and her sliding down him was unspeakable. She was uncomfortable with his splitting size, but he didn't move her at all, trying to give her some time to adjust but it was just so hard for him to restrain himself. She was so tight and warm, and definitely untouched by any man. "Fuck," he mumbled warmly in her ear. She felt him wrap his arm tighter around her, almost as if he was afraid she was going to somehow run away from him. Even if she wanted to, she wouldn't know her way back home and she'd be stuck out here. She was safe with Lee even though she found herself feeling more confusion than pleasure.
Those girls from her high school days had to been lying to her, sex didn’t feel all that magical; his patrol car was not a romantic place to lose her virginity. Lee rocked her on his cock slowly as she tried to find the same pleasure that he was experiencing. His heavy breath was on her ear as she stared straight up into the night sky.
"You feel so good. You feel so fucking good baby."
His pleasure is what made her want to stay on top of him like this. She cared for him so much and she just wanted Lee to be proud of her. The "good girl" that continuously spilled from his lips sounded like a hymn she wanted to memorize.
Y/n let Lee have his way with her body. He groped her breast through her dress and then let his hands graze her sides. She wondered what he was doing when his hand slipped into her panties, but the warmth that shot through her made her mind go blank. Lee rubbed at her sensitive bud and she constricted around him. Instead of whimpering, she was now fully moaning; the way it felt so good had put her discomfort into the back of her mind.
"Oh fuck -- move your hips girl. You feel so good."
He rubbed her harder as a reward for swirling her hips against him. She began to bounce on top of him and he no longer had to do the hard work, just lean back and feel her engulfing him in her warmth.
"Lee," she whimpered, unsure of herself, but then she called his name again, "Lee," as if to let him know that he was the one giving her pleasure.
Lee knew he wasn't going to last, not when she was as tight and wet as she was. He can't remember the last time he took someone's virginity, nor when he was this hard. It was clear to him that she had no idea what she was doing by the way she bounced on him without a rhythm. Sometimes she'd stall herself before moving fast again. It didn't irk him, he found it endearing that she was so inexperienced. He was going to have to show her a lot of things and get her to fuck him to his liking.
Y/n gasped when Lee pulled out of her and jerked himself until white liquid was splashing on the back of her panties. She'd have to wash them before her mother saw the stain.
"You did so good baby, taking my cock like a big girl," he placed a sloppy kiss on her cheek, still trying to catch his breath while she shifted on top of him. He put himself away and nudged her towards the empty passenger seat. She was silent the entire time he drove her home. A sense of pride filled her because she had made Lee feel good. The sex itself was too weird to describe as being good, but she liked how she felt inside when he told her she felt good and that she made him cum. That's all she wanted to do was please Lee.
-
Saturday morning proved to be another beautiful day. It seems as if Summer didn't want to leave just yet even though October was near. There wouldn't be many more opportunities for Lee to make his impressions and sway the last few voters not on his side.
The event had been boring at most, but Sally's words really shook her up. No one in town would deny that Mrs. Blackwater has always been a bitter women, but they also wouldn't necessarily turn the other cheek if she starts going around saying that Lee Bodecker is a murder. Y/n's new problem made her forget about the decaying brothel owner. She doesn't care how mean the whole town thought the old woman was, she wanted her gone.
"You slept in. Did I tire you out last night?" Lee had the same smug smirk on his face that has been imprinted on her brains since their early years together.
Y/n nodded even though it wasn't completely truthful. She slept so hard because she's mentally spent and it was finally catching up with her body. Lee had been too distracted to notice how distant she was last night and how she is still distant now. In his eyes, as long as she was eager to lay under him then everything was fine.
Most mornings started like this: Y/n waking up next to her still tired husband and waiting to hear her daughter crying for her. He trudged out of bed and she heard him beat a path down the hall to the bathroom. There was still no sound of her daughter needing her, giving her some time alone. It was nearly silent except for the faint sound of the shower going. She breathed deeply and found herself feeling serene. Just five minutes without the memory of Sally threatening to pull her and her husband's support taunting her.
"Y/n! Do you not hear her crying?" Lee held a stern look on face, he must have been standing there for a few minutes. His towel was wrapped around his waist, stomach hanging over the soft white cotton, "what's wrong with you girl?"
She shook her head, "nothing Lee. I'm just still a lil' tired."
His face softened at her explanation but he nodded his head towards the door so she could take care of their daughter. Y/n hurried not to upset him for the rest of the day.
Their baby was just fussy and hungry. Her little eyes weren’t that red so she hadn’t been crying for long. “You hungry?” Her daughter somewhat understood what her mother was saying because her eyes went wide. The nightgowns Lee had bought Y/n made it much easier for her to pull herself out of them to feed their girl. She could see her daughter calming down, eyes closing once again. Y/n thought about keeping her daughter with her but she needed to rest in her crib. She placed her down gently as not to disturb and wake her again. At least one person in this family deserves peace.
"Back to sleep?" Lee's voice startled her, but the hand on her hip soothed her. Y/n nodded, never taking her eyes away from her girl. "Precious isn't she? So sweet when she's not fussin' about."
"She only fusses because she's teething, and she misses her father."
"Honey, you know why I'm at work longer than usual. It's for her. It's for you. It's for us. Do you know how much better her life, your life, is going to be better after I win that race?"
"But what if you don't win?"
Y/n rarely questions Lee, not even over small things, so he was confused as to why she was questioning him now. Did his wife not believe in him? She worried a lot, but when he first ran for sheriff, she was not this doubtful.
"What are you trying to say?"
"Lee, I didn't say that. It's just that people been talkin' and -"
"And you believe them? So my own wife doesn't think I'm going to win because a few people can’t got some things wrong?”
Y/n flinched as his voice got louder. The brashness of his voice woke their girl up from her attempt to fall into a deep sleep. Instead of waking up and silently looking around, the first thing that came from her was a cry. It served as a way for Y/n to escape Lee's wrath. She pulled her crying daughter into her arms and held her close to her chest. One glance at Lee's face and she knew he was going to deal with her later. But for now he just sighed and walked out of the nursery.
"Aww don't cry honey. It was just your daddy, okay? He's not mad at you sweetheart. Don't cry...don't cry," Y/n's voice cracked and tears slipped down her face. Her pleas were more for herself than they were her daughter.
Lee's hesitance to address the obvious problems he faces in regards to the election made Y/n feel uneasy. All she wanted was for her husband to just outright say he never did those things, but he never did. And if Y/n has resulted to murder, then she knows deep down that he did some of those things that people allege. There were just things that were too loud to drown out. The business when it came to solving a string of murders that happened a few years ago and people talking about him didn't affect him when he was going for re-election. There was no one else that had a strong enough presence to go against him and the folks in town figured that Lee gets enough done as far as crime goes, even though he could do more.
Y/n should be tired of trying to clean up his mess when he was so short with her. However it is not entirely his fault; he does not know. Maybe one day he'll learn and be grateful for what she has done for him.
-
Lee just couldn't stop reminding her that Sandy and Carl were coming over. It's almost as if he knew it got under Y/n's skin and used it against her after she hurt his feelings this morning. He's a sensitive one, even though he hides it well from most people, but her moment of vulnerability wasn't meant to hurt him. Though if their conversation had progressed any further, she might have spilled what she did to the brothel owner. She may want to believe Lee would be proud of her, but she cannot be so sure. It's sickening to assume that someone would be proud of a murder. She quickly began to feel dirty after a few minutes with her own thoughts ever since Lee snapped at her.
"Can you clean up? We're going to be having guests soon."
There were just a few baby toys on the floor but it was best not to make things worse with Lee (even though those toys were going to end up in the same place anyway).
Lee stepped outside as Y/n put their daughter in her high chair. Ever since her birth Lee was mindful not to smoke in the house; it was one of the house rules Y/n proposed that he was surprisingly very accepting of. She had taken away most of the things that he used to destress: alcohol, cigarettes, and candies.
She heard the motor of a car and Lee's muffled voice. She knew it was them, but hoped they were just making a short trip over. It's not like Lee likes Carl, and he's constantly complaining about his trouble making sister. Y/n hates that Sandy uses their daughter as an excuse to come over. She wouldn't mind if Sandy came alone, but she hated Carl around her little girl and she's sure Lee feels the same way.
Y/n's mother had gotten their daughter such a stupid gift when she was born. A baby that's not even half a year old yet didn't need a toy that had a million little pieces they could easily choke on, but of course it was her favorite thing to place with. Lee never cleaned up the mess, it was always Y/n who was doing it. She tried her best to pick everything up before they stepped inside but she heard the front door open. She tensed up, but she only heard the heavy footsteps of one person, and god did she hope it was Lee.
"What you doin' down there?"
Her eyes trailed up and Carl was gazing down at her. Words got caught in her throat and she clutched her hand around one of the toy pieces, the edges of it painfully digging into her palm.
"Did I scare you?"
The smirk on her face made her want to shriek. She noted that he didn't call her "darlin'" like he used to. She can only guess what Lee did to him when he "took him out back" after calling her that for a few years.
"Where's my niece?"
Y/n shot up, not caring about the toys still on the floor. She'll be damned if Carl is alone with her daughter for even a second.
Sandy came in with Lee following behind her. He gave Y/n a look of understanding, he too hoped this was going to be a short visit. The sound of Sandy fawning over her niece overtook the room. Their daughter giggled and babbled at her aunt as if she could understand her.
"Y/n go make us some ice tea."
Usually Lee doesn't command her to do things, unless he was stressed or horny. She knew her was the former by the look on his face. He was aggravated and this visit wasn't going to make him feel any better. As Y/n left the room, Sandy sat down on their couch with their daughter in her arms. Carl sat next to them, making the alarm in Lee rise.
"I got you something honey," she pulled out a little doll from her purse. It looked tattered and Lee wondered where she got it from.
"You know she already has enough dollies," Lee joked. It didn't matter to his girl, it was a new toy, "got anything for your brother?"
Sandy eyes him before pulling out a small bag of candy. She tossed it to him and he caught it, "I knew you'd ask for somethin'"
He opened it and instantly popped a sweet cherry candy into his mouth.
"Y/n's not letting me drink since the girl is so young. This is the only thing I got, even though she's on my ass about that too," Lee knew that Sandy wasn't too interested in the ins-and-outs of his everyday life but he gets tired of complaining to his deputies.
"Yea, I bet," she kept a snide comment about her sister-in-law to herself. The box of cigarettes she had calling her name we're going to have to wait. "How's that mayor race going?"
"It's going."
"Heard that whore house owner croaked," Carl's voice carried to the kitchen and Y/n paused, "found in unusual circumstances...chairs pushed up against the door...poisoned. Reckon one of those girls got tired of him holdin' them down-"
"No smoking in the house," Lee interrupted when he noticed Carl reaching for the pack of cigarettes in his shirt pocket. Carl laughed as if he wanted to challenge Lee, but his hand went back to resting on the back of the couch.
"Wouldn't want this little darlin' smellin' like a bar."
Anytime Carl spoke at or about her daughter, Y/n wanted to vomit. Carl is not nice. She wonders how twisted Sandy might be to marry someone who is awful to women and has no filter.
There was a cloud of fear over her head when Carl was around. She wishes Lee was more apprehensive but Sandy's his little sister, and he cares for her no matter how much those two causes. Things would be different if Y/n had told Lee about that time Carl pressed himself against and put his hand up the skirt of her dress. His threat would forever bounce off her skull and it only got louder when he was near. "Shut you're fucking mouth or else your husbands gonna see his slut wife bending over for another man." She was five months pregnant and had no way to defend herself. He only groped her, but she always wondered if he would've gone further if Sandy hadn't come in looking for the cooking tongs Lee told her to fetch. Sandy knew something had happened, but she said nothing. Y/n's disdain for her only grew from that day on.
Lee redirected the conversation from what Carl had started to something a bit more asinine. He didn't want to talk about something work-related because he didn't need to be stressed out any further. Reed’s death wasn't another blow to his reputation like Lee thought it would. It was going to be another unsolved murder from the way it was looking though. The people assumed one of the girls did it. The place had been emptied out; it surely looked different from when Lee was last in there. Lee was lucky that Reed was extremely disliked, unlike that preacher Roy who died some years ago. More people said "he had it coming" instead of "why isn't the sheriff doing anything?"
He laughed about it though. When he was alone in the car after leaving the crime scene, he laughed. There was no more worrying about the rumor that Sheriff Lee Bodecker beat one of his girls. When Lee did go to that place, he was never forceful. Lee could be mean towards women at times, but he was never violent.
-
If Lee was called in on a Sunday morning, then it was very important. He woke Y/n up at 5 am and kissed her out of her confused state to say goodbye. She only slept for another hour after laying her head down back on the pillow.
This morning felt so different.
The morning she woke up knowing her task was to deal with Reed, she was distracted and jumpy. But she had grown so accustomed to her guilt that it's become a comfortable feeling. Mrs. Blackwater was a more personal score to settle. That woman was throwing dirt on Lee's name, but the turmoil she caused her teenage friend would never leave her mind. Y/n had learned how cruel someone could be without physically hurting you. The boys on school grounds were annoying brats, but that woman had a truly awful mouth.
The Petersons’ daughter was over right after church. She had a wide smile on her face, happy that Mrs. Bodecker was giving her another opportunity to make some money.
"She's been a fairly good mood lately," Y/n handed her daughter off to the shorter teenage girl, "she slept through the night for once, but she's still gonna need a nap. Once she starts fussin' put her in her crib. I should be back before Lee."
Y/n wished her well and the Petersons girl wished Y/n a good time running her errands. It was comical to think of this as an errand, even though today she was going to treat it like one.
She was in Lee's nice car again meaning she was going to have to temporarily get rid of it. Y/n put much more effort into this, her haphazard plan to take out Reed could've gone horribly wrong. She spent her time snooping around town when she was out with one of her mom friends. The plan had been simple: park the car at the crowded grocery just two blocks away from the Blackwater house. The house sat at the end of the street, a bit separated from the other row of houses because of the larger amount of land they owned. It wouldn't be a problem to walk to the house seeing as others in this neighborhood do the same thing.
When her mother had made that dress for her to wear to the Spring Formal, Y/n cried, saying she was going to look like a nurse instead of "the prettiest girl in town" like Jim, the guy who asked her to the dance said. A teenage grievance had somehow come in handy almost a decade later. It was under a long coat that was a bit abnormal for this warm day.
Y/n felt sickly confident. That only thing she worried about was Lee cruising through and seeing his car in the parking lot. But the grocery store offered a great cover. The sun was covered by a thick cloud as she walked away from the grocery store and to the old Blackwater house.
That porch still looked the same. It was old and rickety, squeaking as she stepped on it, she's surprised it didn't give it away some years ago. The rocking chair Mrs. Blackwater sat on while terrorizing people was no longer there. At least her days of scaring off the newer generation of kids were over.
Y/n knocked on the door and waited. She had to knock again, and by the third time she wondered if the old lady did the job for her!
"Who is it?" The voice was much more frail, but it was that voice.
"I'm here to help!" The upturn of her voice at the end made her statement sound more like a question.
The locks on the door began to click and Mrs. Blackwater peered at her.
"You're not the one they always send."
"Oh, she's sick today! I'm just filling in for her today!" After two weeks of watching, Y/n learned what days Mrs. Blackwater's nurse came and went. She came everyday but she was absent on Sundays. It's somewhat astounding that Mrs. Blackwater didn't ask about Y/n turning up on a Sunday.
"Ahh whatever," she dismissed, unlocking the screen door, and wheeling backwards in the wheelchair that she had been relegated to a few years ago.
Y/n didn't know what to expect when she stepped inside, but it wasn't too far off from how her parent's house looked; black and white photos littering the walls and stacks of paper that probably could've been thrown away a decade ago. What is different from her parent's home is that this place is an utter mess. The nurse that usually comes to take care of her could at least tidy it up a bit. With how much she hated everything, Y/n would've assumed she hated mess too, but her home says otherwise. This lady was an absolute hoarder.
"Don't bother me," Mrs. Blackwater sniped at her. She wheeled herself next to the couch and glued her eyes to the black and white television screen.
Y/n doesn't know how many hours Mrs. Blackwater spent sitting there and watching The Andy Griffin Show. She didn't laugh when something funny happened, she just sat there still, sometimes grumbling to herself in reaction to what was happening on screen.
The least Y/n could do was tidy up a bit. It would be a kind gesture to leave her to die in a presentable place.
Mrs. Blackwater is not going to die a violent death. She was awful, but she did not deserve the brutality like someone who has done physical harm did. (If she was just a little bit braver, she would've hacked him to death, but the sight of blood makes her ill). Mrs. Blackwater was up in age, nearing her 90s, and it would be time for her to go soon anyway. Y/n dusted around the TV, one of the last things this old woman may see. All the photos of people on the walls were staring at her as she moved about cleaning the dust from the frames. So many people, many dead but most probably alive. Mrs. Blackwater had children and probably grandchildren but no one came to visit her. Her tongue was sharp, but how could no one come and visit their aging mother?
"Stop moving so damn much. Sit down girl."
The venom was still in her voice. It would never go away, at least not until she dies. This woman didn't appreciate anything and enjoyed being miserable. Y/n listened to her like that scared little teenager she used to be. She sat on the couch, a few feet away from Mrs. Blackwater who had not taken her eyes off the TV or moved at all. Y/n was spending time with a woman who was going to die at her hands today. If she's going to die then at least she's going to die doing what she loves; watching her shows and bitching out the closest person in reach.
She had only moved to grab the newspaper from the table on the other side of her. It was Friday's addition, Y/n could tell from the photo on the cover. She couldn't help but eye the old woman as she read the paper. It has been probably three hours and she hasn't even asked for anything to eat.
"People droppin' like flies in this shit hole."
Y/n's ears perked up, but she didn't say anything, she just let the lady talk.
"Leroy should know better not to do that shit here...especially with that corrupt sheriff around...would've had an easier time gettin' away with it in the city. Everyone in the city already does all that illegal shit so it probably wouldn’t have mattered anyway. Now he’s dead."
Y/n had heard that name before. She remembers vividly Lee chewing someone out on the phone and saying their name with contempt. Leroy, Leroy, Leroy. The name "Bobo" also came up in the conversation a few times. Y/n wanted to be mad at Mrs. Blackwater for referring to her husband as "corrupt" but something nagged at her to keep the conversation going for her sake.
"W-what do you mean?" Her voice cracked but it was ignored by the old woman.
"You must not be from here. Everyone knows that if you get caught up with that fat bastard sheriff you must be doin’ some awful shit. The only reason why he keeps gettin' re-elected is because everyone is scared of him. It doesn't matter how many babies that man has, he's a killer...dragging that man's body and fucking up carnations..."
No one had ever talked to Mrs. Bodecker about her husband like this. Town gossipers had the decency to wait until she left the room to say something about him. But she's not Mrs. Bodecker right now. It does not matter anyway because the old lady doesn't know what she's talking about. She hasn't spent the hours with Lee, with him being sweet and so soft with his daughter. Y/n firmly believes that if Lee did indeed kill someone then it was for a good reason. She knows her husband involves himself in dirty things, but it had to be for a good reason. Lee did not show brutality for no reason; he didn't get his rocks off on hurting innocent people.
"People can change. I'm sure he's a different man now."
"Why!? Because he got a bitch and a bastard? You are too naïve...at least the other girl they send has some more sense in her head. No man is going to want to marry a dumb girl."
An awkward silence surrounded them but it was mostly felt by Y/n. She found herself frozen with a ball of rage and anxiety in her stomach. But she had no time to dwell for much longer though.
"I'm thirsty...go make me something."
Y/n noticed Mrs. Blackwater flinching when she grabbed the remote to turn the volume higher. She either had arthritis or just pain in her hands.
"Okay...do you need to take any pills at this time?"
"My husbands gone and my children don't visit me. You think I care about taking my pills?"
Maybe Mrs. Blackwater would be kind to her if she knew Y/n was going to take her out of her misery. Breaking open the capsules and dumping it in the tea she made for her is going to do the job. She might succumb to a heart attack, or pass peacefully. The only person Y/n felt bad for was the poor nurse who was going to find her dead tomorrow morning.
-
Lee was able to leave his shift earlier than expected. Sundays are very quiet, the only thing he got up to was paperwork at the station. He could go home early to his wife, play with the girl while Y/n makes dinner, and get a nice ride from his wife while their daughter sleeps. Y/n said something about needing him to pick up some chicken stock from the grocery store.
People filled in and out of the grocery store as the sun began to set. A few people spoke to him, never for too long knowing that he's not fond of small talk. But more people being friendly with him was a good sign. Even without his sweet wife next to him, no one shied away from saying hello to the man running for Mayor.
Two boxes of chicken stock should be enough even though his wife sent him for three. The brand she likes isn’t exactly cheap. Lee promptly made his way to the cashier who greeted him with a smile.
"Good evening sheriff!" her voice was sweet and she batted her eyes a few times. Lee offered her a smile, but a small laugh escaped. This girl couldn't be younger than 20 but she fawned over him like a young school girl. Her behavior reminded him of Y/n when she was that age. "Darlene said she saw your car in the parking lot but didn't get a chance to catch Mrs. Bodecker herself."
Lee stopped caring about the items (a few snuck in there for him) being rung up. His brows furrowed and the girl realized that she had said something maybe she shouldn't have.
"My wife was here?"
"That's what Darlene said. Her shift ended right as I was coming in so I wasn't there when it happened...do you still want the chicken stock?"
"Yea yea just ring it up."
Lee's mind was too preoccupied with the weird behavior his wife has been exhibiting for the last several weeks. She often hovered over him when he was on the phone like she was interested in what he was talking about. All the swearing and terms she didn't understand kept her from asking what his loud, and often abrasive, phone conversations were about. But now she was listening a little too hard for his liking.
The only time Y/n was supposed to drive their car is if Lee told her she could or if there was an emergency. A trip to the grocery store did not fall under either of those categories. But it was particularly weird to him that she would go to the store when she told him to go himself. If she had forgotten something, she would have not hesitated to call the station. Something was up with her.
Everything felt normal as he stepped into the house. The smell of what she was cooking hit his nose and the familiar noises of his daughter babbling louder than the Y/n moving around the kitchen. If he had no questions for his wife, then he'd feel all warm inside walking into his home in this current state.
Y/n was talking to their daughter as if she was holding a real conversation with her. Their daughter started squealing when she saw Lee appear in the doorway. He put his index finger to his lips to tell her to quiet herself, but she was only louder.
"I couldn't believe it either! They said the hairdresser purposefully dyed Marie's hair darker," she spoke, thinking her daughter was just squealing because she was talking to her and not because her husband was creeping up behind her.
Hands snaked around her waist and she nearly jumped. "Oh yea? Is that what the town is gossipin' about today?" Lee's familiar voice soothed her and she turned around in his arms. She deftly kissed him and looked up at him.
"Wanna know what else I heard?" He whispered to her. Y/n nodded, a smile spreading on her face as she rested her forehead against his, "heard the sheriff's wife been out and about and driving his nice car."
Y/n's smile fell from her face, but it only made Lee smile wider.
"You wanna tell me what you were doing out?"
"I needed something from the store."
"So my task to pick up the chicken stock after work was for nothing?"
"No...I went to my parents house...didn't want to go empty-handed. You know how my mother gets."
What a sweet little liar.
But she still had the smell of an old house lingering around her so maybe it wasn’t completely a lie. Still, he knew something was up with her.
“How was work?” She quickly tried to change the subject. Lee was not really in the mood to interrogate her, it was Sunday after all. He sat down in the chair next to his daughter's high chair. She started reaching for his hat but he was too far away, so Lee rested his head on the tray and let her have her fun. Y/n was probably going to be mad at him for putting his head where she eats and getting all of his “outside germs” all over it, but he didn’t care.
“I’m tired,” he confessed, a heavy sigh escaping him, “I’m really fucking tired.”
Y/n wishes she could lift more of her husband’s burdens. Killing people who were talking about him did not get rid of the core problem. Sometimes she wishes he never decided to run for mayor. Life was so much more comfortable when he would run unopposed for county sheriff. Instead her husband had a bigger dream. From the very beginning she felt like it was a long shot that this would be successful, but they had gotten so far in changing how most of the people viewed Lee. And even though they felt a way about him, they still respected the sheriff.
“It’s going to be over soon. I promise.”
He truly wanted to believe her, but the sinking feeling that the past was going to catch up with him was not going away.

I LOVE your Oc.I Bet at some Point she and the Ninjas have a Bet Going on who will end With the Most Trauma.Because Kai Gas a small Crush on her,did He and Skylor never Fell in love?Or did they Break Up?And because of her Powers of Will.Could she Just think/say (as example) I win this Bet and then she wins it If she belives it enough?
Or am I wrong? Please correct me If I am :(
Tumblr media
Every time someone asks me about my OC I feel more and more happy.
I don't know what the ninja would bet on against her, since they all kind of share everything. Maybe a day out or lunch? But she starts out strong with "well I died then was ripped from my home planet and put on a new one where everyone hated me and tried to kill me again." Then slowly everyone gets more and more traumatized as more stuff happens to them. She can bond with different ninja over different traumas (bonds with Lloyd over possession, bonds with Zane over death, bonds with Nya over kidnapping, etc.) It ends up being "oh, everyone is really traumatized now..." so they all cuddle and cry about it. (Will doesn't apply here because she wants to win, that would be cool, or at least until she realizes what winning means. Will is a strange thing, but it never seems to work on things the person desires.)
Kai had a crush on her, but because she became a kid again in the alternate timeline, he couldn't like her in that way anymore (He's 15 which is like 19 in our age, but Anya turned 10 so...). He still ends up with Skylor, but since Anya grows up at 3 times the normal rate (by season 13, she's already turning 18 again. This leaves him conflicted since he still kind of likes her, but he also likes Skylor. He ends up staying with Skylor, but Anya starts feeling like she's becoming too hard to love, since she's an alien and the only person who ever wanted her chose someone else. Cole has to assure her that she'll find someone, but also that love isn't the whole point of life. (She starts crushing on Plundar in season 13 despite him probably being too old for her...Cole is very much aware and tries to keep them from getting too close)
Will can work in lots of different ways. For some people, it makes their talents perfect (like if someone is an archer, all their arrows hit. If someone draws, all their works are perfect in the way they want it to be. etc.). For others it can give them new abilities they've always wanted to have, or even powers; some people have been able to use swords despite never having touched one before, and one person even gained the ability to shoot lazers from their hands before. Anya's Will is the will to live and fight, because on Earth she was always being put down and hurt.
But because the strength of the power depends on how strongly one believes in themselves, high confidence makes you stronger, so if Anya genuinely and wholly believed she could/has to defeat someone, she could keep going until she did. If she thought she could beat someone under certain circumstances, she might be able to beat them, but she will run out of strength and faint. However, they can never die because no matter what, they believe doctors can save them from anything (except for decapitation, but that never happens in Ninjago lol). Sometimes, though, people have no confidence or even hate themselves. Not only does it affect them, but it can start to affect other people around them if it's bad enough. For example, when she faces off against Garmadon/the Overlord in season 2, they start to degrade her, and because she's just an influential little kid, she believes them and not only does she start to turn goopy like when she gets possessed by Morro, the ninja actually start to feel weaker because of it. (The team has to cheer her up before they can leave the island and defeat the Overlord).

Hey Azure! I can't stop thinking about your idea that Alexis might be involved with the Phantomhive's misfortune. If that's true, this is going to be so horrible for Lizzie!! She'll probably hate O!Ciel (AND RCiel?) so much in the end and go through a lot more pain, and I hate that for her!!!! Do you really think O!Ciel would go through with it??
Assuming Alexis is involved... Do I really think O!Ciel would kill his evil uncle, who did the following to him: help aid in the murder of/was complicit in the murder of his parents and a lot of innocent beloved servants who cared for him, ruin his birthday party and the concept of celebrating his birthday without some guilt and trauma at age 10, aided in/was complicit to burning his house to the ground, aided in/was complicit to O!Ciel and his brother being sex trafficked to a cult that he knew would ultimately kill them both?  I don’t think O!Ciel would care who it was, even if it takes him by surprise. I don’t think he’d hesitate. O!Ciel is looking for the ‘mastermind’ and I’m not saying that Alexis is; just that Alexis would have nothing to lose and a lot to gain, if he was involved in it to a degree. If he tries to get in the way (and he probably will), he’ll likely die. I don’t see O!Ciel letting him go, unless it were, say, a situation where Alexis was humiliated and left-alive to send a message back to the Queen or other masterminds at work; something like that.  Here’s one thing I’ll say about Lizzie.... I don’t know why anyone who ships them like the last anon who seemed concerned with this idea, (or otherwise doesn’t want to see Lizzie in anymore pain) would worry THAT much about this? I don’t think her experiencing more pain can be avoided at this point in the story... But if is is true, if her father is involved how do you really think that would go for her, who do you think she’d be more mad with? Personally I think she and Francis would turn on him in a New York minute and at bare minimum, um want him to go to prison? I don’t know why she should have love or loyalty in her heart for her father, if he did that. Ultimately what happened to the Phantomhives caused Lizzie a LOT of suffering too; and her whole family knew that and he just. Watched her mourn and cry and didn’t care.

Ok, first off you overate Pinoe waaay too much due to favortism bias. She's been a key part of USWNT for many years but she really isnt (or shouldnt be) sticking around til 2023. She'll be 37/38. I'm not stating this because of her age since Carli is 39 and playing (although this will probably be her last year) but because she's a step slower.
Carli seemed to gain more pace during her time off while Pinoe's pace has decreased greatfully. And this is coming from someone who looks up to Pinoe, and has a strong distaste for Carli. Pinoe is very creative with her play, consistent with her PKs, and brings leadership. However all 3 of those qualities can easily be replaced by younger upcoming vets. Tobin is an incredibly creative player and reads the game well, Horan also delivers quality PKs, and Press, Heath, Dunn, Ertz, Sam Mewis are all capable of stepping into a leadership role in the next cycle and by '23 they'd all have significant experience in major tournaments.
Speaking of Horan, you completely left her off the roster. I'll admit I'm not a big fan of her but I know when to put my personal bias aside to analyze a player. Her form and positioning this tournament has been way off, but to be fair so has the entire team. Which BTW, shouldnt diminish all her quality moments prior to this tournament. You may not like her style of play but you can't deny the intensity she brings. Her services and overall presence on the field has and probably will always be overlooked by Sammy and/or Rose because they're both more technical and faster on the ball.
I like KMewis and think Vlatko did her dirty all tournament by barely giving her any minutes, but realistically with all the younger talent coming in (Cat, Jaelin, etc.) and KMew being a fringe player, I can't see her sticking around in '23, especially over Horan who is one of the top 4 USWNT mids.
The only older player I could possibly see staying until '23 is Becky. No other defender brings leadership to the backline like she does (although I do think Tierna will eventually step into this role). I would've said O'Hara instead but with her piling injuries, and upcoming younger talent on the wings, I think she's out before '23.
I very well could be overrating Pinoe a bit due to favoritism, but there are a few points against her that I don’t think stand here. I completely agree with you that she isn’t speedy or as fit as the others, but she has never been a fast or fit player. That’s not her game. Of course she’s slowing down a bit with age, but that is not what she relies on and never has been. All players have their strengths and weaknesses, and I think in American football we put a little too much weight on speed and physicality.
Those qualities you mention I don’t think could be easily replaced, but they definitely need to be replaced at some point because Pinoe’s not going to play forever. Heath is definitely creative and does a wonderful job maintaining possession, but I think Pinoe has a unique vision. Horan has most definitely not proven herself PK wise yet, and I would not trust having her step to the line with the game on the line. Comparing Pinoe’s 92% PK shooting percentage (combining league and NT over available years) to Horan’s 50% is quite the stretch to me. I can definitely see Dunn stepping into that leadership role. I don’t see that coming from Ertz, Heath, Press, or Sam Mewis anytime soon.
I left Horan off my second roster, but I had her on my first. I go back and forth on her. With her, I admit it’s hard for me to put my personal opinions about her to the side, but I just personally rate other midfielders above her. I think Macario, the Mewis sisters, and Lavelle are better decision makers. Horan also can be a liability penalty wise. Plus, we so badly need someone to grow into the 6 role behind Ertz, so I put Howell in there. I fully expect Horan to be on the roster though instead of K. Mewis like you said. That’s not what I would want, but I think you’re right that that’ll be the case.
I agree that O’Hara will be out. I would have said the same about Becky if she hadn’t hinted so strongly at retiring after this tournament. I would love to see her in 2023 though. However, I think Tierna is nearly ready to lead that defense with two major tournaments under her belt.

Tu M’appartiens - Chapter 5 Part 1
But still, although Tessa was cursing Mats in the most spiteful of the way, Nicole read through the lines a truth that Tessa herself wasn't aware of.  Her loathing against Mats gave the impression that it seemed more of an animal attraction, that she was in need of him, that she wanted to fuck him.  Yes, Nicole had the perfect eye combined with the perfect brain in terms of body language, and concerning Tessa, it was an unquestionable topic, her body was craving on Mats.
Mats' presence had a bad impact on Tessa, at the view of him, she came to the saddest reality that her relaxing holiday came to an end.  His stupid smile on his stupid face rose her tantrum a little bit more.  When Tessa returned to the apartment, Nicole knew something was wrong based on the look on her friend's face expression.  This one was amused at Tessa's reaction, laughing uncontrollably each time Tessa was repeating over and over again how Mats raised his hand at her.
Nicole's clumsiness to this situation gave Tessa a feeling that her bestie didn't care about her, especially about the hot point that Mats saw her boobs.
July 7, 2018
The big day finally arrived, Tessa turned 29, a new age for her.  Life hasn't always been kind with her, but as the strong woman she was, she always kept her head steady and proved she had enough of maturity to take care of  herself. Tessa developed a fierce maturity from a very young age, probably due to the divorce of her parents when she was still a child.  She forged herself a strong personality and was never afraid to raise her voice to say what had to be said.  Tessa was loved by everyone, first her dad and mom with whom she had a privileged strong bond, her friends, her coworkers and of course the BVB players that absolutely loved her.   Never ever a player from the team disrespected her in any way or never proposed a friends with benefits relation, she was considered as their sister.  But nevertheless this didn't refrain her from having a personal opinion on them, in fact she did find Sancho and Bürki really cute and attractive.
Nicole had been very evasive about the birthday party that she organized for her best friend.  Only two hints were revealed, first Tessa had to be sexy and the second one was to make the most of it.  As a smart girl, Tessa knew that everything seemed fishy, she felt something was on it's way and that it would be somehow of nasty.  But to please Nicole, she decided to keep that feeling for herself.
"You look fine as hell bitch!" Nicole said as both her and Tessa accessed the elevator.
🔴⚫[Tessa's Outfit]⚫🔴
"You look fine as hell bitch!" Tessa shot back sarcastically.
"So where are we going?" Tessa asked curiously as her fingers typed her phone screen answering to the many birthday wishes via her Instagram.
"You'll see!" Nicole said as she pressed the 20th floor button on the elevator control pad.
"Ehm why is the elevator going up?" Tessa frowned her eyes curiously.
"Surprise!"
"I thought we were going out!"
"Why go out when the best is right in our hand!"
"Alright!" Tessa answered but mumbled [I feel I'm having a lot of fun!] Out of earshot to Nicole.
The elevator doors opened at the 20th floor, both stepped out when Nicole grabbed a red scarf out of her bag.
"Wow wow what are you doing!" Tessa made a step back when Nicole was about to roll the red silk scarf around her eyes.
"It's a surprise baby, do you trust me?"
"Ehm.. I guess so!" Tessa said as she felt a little tensed but nodded approving Nicole's move.
"Now relax, and keep walking, don't worry I'll guide your steps, you are not going to hit nothing!"
"Ok…" Tessa said, feeling a bit more at ease.
Girl, trust me, you'll thank me!" Nicole said as they entered a room.
"Nicole, what is going on?"
"There she is…" An unfamiliar female voice exclaimed.
As the red scarf was detached off Tessa's eyes, this one got speechless at the stunning set of red themed decorations.  Masquerade masks, huge red sequins carefully wrapped around a huge table served with a delicious buffet.  Fine wine and champagne, petits-fours, luxurious lobster and a wide variety of seafood, it all looked like one of these socialite private parties.   Tessa examined each detail, but the gorgeous black and red birthday cake was too catchy to be unnoticeable.  Everything was decorated based on Tessa's favorite red color.  In the past Tessa always had amazing birthday parties, but this one was just on another level.
"My gosh, Nicole… it' s so perfect and beautiful, how… how did you do that!"
"I got some help in the name of this amazing girl, Amani!"
Tessa looked at the short woman, who looked absolutely stunning.  As Tessa looked closer at the woman, her mind sent her flashbacks, enough to recall who she was the same woman with whom Mats was at the swimming pool.
"Oh gosh!" Tessa mumbled.  "And who is Amani?" Tessa behaved foolishly.
"Oh, a friend… she's a sweet person!" Nicole said on a reassuring voice tone as she tapped on Tessa's shoulders.
"Happy Birthday sweetie, hope you like the decoration set, Nicole told me you were obsessed with the color red, so we based your little party on that!" Amani exclaimed excitedly.
"It's really beautiful, I can see you put a lot of devotion and of yourself, thank you, it's really perfect!" Tessa said in a sort of approval behavior.
"Don't he shock darling!" Amani said funnily..
"I'm so glad you like it, we know that you're not a big fan of big parties with a hundredth of people, private parties are way funnier and much more intimate, basically anything can happen without having to justify over certain things!" Amani spoke with a suave voice tone while she approached Nicole with a surprising behavior of her having her mouth locked with Nicole exchanging a passionate kiss.  Tessa in shock had her mouth opened, in the unknown of how to react to this situation or of what to do or even what to say.
This was a new side of Nicole she found out and in the most of the explicit way.
"I'm… I…" Tessa baffled continuously with her eyes blinking several times.
"Tessa, you know me, I'm straight but sometimes crossing the line feels so good!"
"Nicole, I think I'll go back to our apartment room, you can stay here and have fun in my name!" Tessa spoke out foolishly.
"Yes, probably…" Tess was out of answers
She walked to the table where the food and drinks were displayed and served herself a glass of champagne that she gulped in one sip and filled up the empty glass immediately.
"No, you stay here, the fun hasn't even started yet, grab your glass, sit comfortably and relax!" Nicole guided Tessa to the living sofa.
"Are you girls dating or something similar to?"
"No, no, but from time to time when Nicole comes to Dubai, we get to have the best of the fun, we love to fuck!" Amani answered as she sat next to Tessa.
"Oh okay, I see, but yesterday, I saw you with Mats, at the swimming pool, you guys looked as a couple!" Tessa felt hungry to know further more about this sort of triangle couple or partner.
"Oh Mats, one of the greatest guy I know and probably the best lover ever, fuck with him for the first time and you'll get addicted to him!" Amani admitted with a sigh filled with lust.
"Gosh, why are every woman addicted to Mats!" Tessa said with an annoyed voice.
"She hates Mats, he's the enemy!" Nicole joked.
"What, you hate on him, oh girl, this is the worst mistake of your life, he's one charming man, treats women with the biggest of the respect and will make you go insane on him, and you're totally his type of girl, sexy, gorgeous and smart, and you're definitely my type as well!" Amani said as her eyes examined Tessa from head to toes.
"Oh my gosh, girls, can we just go out, I want to go dancing to a nightclub, I want to meet some handsome boys, I want to have real fun, get drunk and behave naughty." Tessa begged with puppy eyes.
"Why to go out when we have everything here!" Amani spoke with her eyes focussed at another direction, precisely behind Tessa.  This one turned wanting to know what caught Amani's focus,  for a second she thought she saw Mats Hummels, but it was from being a mirage, Mats was really there, standing beside Tessa.
"Tessa, so nice to see you again!" Mats had one of those charming smile, but Tessa had a different opinion about it.  She had the look of a killer in her eyes, following his steps to the bar where he served himself a glass of red wine.  Tessa's anger took hold of her entirely, she was literally boiling to a point that it became hard to contain herself.  Inside she was yelling, spitting out her venom at Mats.
"Okay, tell me that this is a fucking joke?!" Tessa stood up from the sofa while she stared at Nicole with annoyance.
"Sweetie, calm down please!"
"How the fuck you want me to calm down when this fucker is here, smiling stupidly!" Tessa felt the tension rising so hard.
"Tessa, it's okay, it's your birthday, enjoy this moment please!" Amani tried to gain control of the situation while this one looked at Nicole for support.
"OMG, I can't believe it, you set me up, you set up all of this situation, Mats, the birthday, this place and everything, how could you do this to me!" Tears started to form in Tessa's eyes, not tears of sadness, but tears of rage.
"I didn't set you up darling, it was planned to have your birthday on a luxurious yacht but due to bad weather we had to find an alternative plan, and yes Mats is here because he is my friend and I thought that it was a perfect occasion for you guys to get to know each other!" Nicole shouted loudly enough.
"You know what, I never asked for all of this, I knew I should never have come here, wanna have fun, then just have fun, I'm out of this shit!" A flustered Tessa made her way out to the balcony, not even paying attention to Mats who did feel somehow bad for her.
"She's really mad Nicole, I think you should go and talk to her!" A concerned Mats said as he joined the two other girls.
"No, I have a better idea, she'll have a memorable birthday!" Amani said as she put a tiny white pill in Tessa's glass of champagne.
"Is that what I think it is?" Mats asked with a grin of satisfaction.
"Yes baby you got it, the most erotic natural drug that will make her change her mind radically!"
"Oh gosh, her wide side will take on her because believe me she is a savage!" Nicole laughed.
"Is she?" Mats frowned his eyes with curiosity.
"Oh Mats, you have no idea what you'll deal with!" Nicole winked an eye at him.
"Give me her glass, will bring it to her!" Nicole said.

Thank you for taking time and reading my confessions. I really appreciate it!
Yes, I guess we couldn't agree more with each other.
On a positive note, I just talked to her and learned she actually only deactivated her account, phew. She said she deleted so I would not bother her anymore :D. She is back in business in her ig and vino.p has not liked any of her posts since the comeback neither has she.
I understand her pov, I may have influenced her in a bad way by telling scary stories of fandoms.
I hope I was able to bring some insight on top. I never expected this to happen , but at the same time,it gave me hope that he could actually have interaction with real and good people. Why would he keep on coming back to her account otherwise? Maybe it made him smile. That's all I could ask for.
But like yourself, I am kinda done. If her ever breaks free and does his thing, I will be back to support him. But now, I just don't see or understand the point of anything.
Once again, thank you for taking time. You are precious.
Much love,
The most annoying work colleague ever :D
No problem at all.
TOP does not realise he is breeding this rabid behavior, enabling it and solidifying it through his own actions as well. If he were to loosen up and take the chance with slowly talking to the followers as people and speaking more on a realistic conversation level, stop posting as if he will be gunned down if he even remotely posts normal things with non celebrity / industry friends. I'm just saying. There is a clear 100% reason the fans treat Taeyang differently than they treat TOP. Nobody can argue with me on this period. You / your mutual her treated the way you allow yourselves to be treated. We have two different perspectives on this. I personally believe he just really liked her stuff and it was nothing more than that for a while. This could have been resolved better if he didn't have any crippling anxieties himself
Yes you somewhat did rattle her and it wasn't the smartest decision to introduce someone like her to someone like him and kpop in general. Some people and subject matters don't mix even if they share common interests. She wont understand and probably never will. It's okay. It's one of those situations where you either have the immense patience and open mindedness or you'll only understand if you were there from the beginning, which she wasn't. Hence how doesn't get that it IS possible to be an idol and be esteemed like this. He utilities his resources and money to get into these fields.
But it's all really sad. A good potential internet friendship tanked. Sad. He could have sent her a DM testing the waters but it's that complex risk of him possibly thinking she'll react like a mega fan or be overwhelmed that HE messaged her when in reality like you conveyed he's kind of a random guy to her. So that's the most frustrating thing about TOP and a majority of idols in general to me. They are so out of reach and keep themselves out of reach. I'm sorry i know we live in the age of mental health coddling but the average person who has their ish together wouldn't over complicate this if they're going to keep this pattern up knowing the interaction would gain traction.
Anyways he's stuck for now and it's sad. Just very sad. Wish them both the best. You're not a bad co worker. You just shared a little interesting person to her who matched her interest who she couldn't handle and he in turn wasn't ever ready to take the leap with.
Hence why I did not relent against trolls who were originally upset at me and turned it into a death threat brawl over me making an error about one of his posts bringing mark up (mega run on sentence forgive me lmao) I don't regret any of it cause this story you've shared just shows that real interaction is hard and easier said than done. We can't tell others how to Stan or how to feel but for the very rare minority such as yourself, it's best to wait to see what is next when he takes the leap and begins to really take those risks.
A shame though.
