i know these asks arent typically accepted, but i am curious and feel pretty guilty for feeling like this. for some context, me and my partner are both polyamorous, this is an online relationship, and has been going on for a little over two months. ive also only known and have been dating them for over two months, a bit after we both went through break ups with someone else. other than a few issues with communication and hurtful comments, its a pretty healthy relationship and we both love each other a lot. however, theres someone else theyre dating and while i said i dont care who they date as long as they tell me, this doesnt apply to people who do this kinda thing. this person has been manipulative and kind of weird towards them. i wont go into all the details right now, but the main issue i have is that at the start of their relationship, the other person lovebombed them and then begged them to break up with them, and then later that night apparently got drunk and tried to commit. since then its been an on and off cycle of them leaving and going back to them, despite me making it clear that i do not like or trust them and am uncomfortable with it. i accidentally lashed out at them for this recently, after they went back yet again, and ended up just agreeing to not worry about it, but i cant do that. i know that this person is in a bad situation, but i dont think that excuses their behavior. again, i dont care who they date but i dont think this is a healthy relationship. theyve already been given several chances, way more than they deserve, and still havent changed much, and thats why im uncomfortable with it. among the main thing, theyve also been venting to my partner while theyre not in the mental state to help or listen, and ive had to listen to my partner stress out about them for a while. they said they would block them if i wanted them to, and i do, but i know theyre very attached to this person and it would hurt them a lot like every other time theyve blocked them.

i think i may be the asshole in this situation because for one, i lashed out at them over this recently and have already done it a few times in the past, for two i am a very jealous person, and it feels irrational to do this over their relationship, but it also feels like they dont really care about how i feel about it either. i mean, they outright said that theyre litstening and understand, then immediately said theyre not. and i also did say during my lash out that i didnt want to hear about their issues with this person anymore, which i didnt mean in the end, but it still was said and was hurtful. i was just generally angry and hurtful when talking to them about this.

i think im not the asshole because this person doesnt really have an excuse for their behavior, other than possibly the fact that theyre in a bad situation. theyre stuck in an abusive household, and while i sympathize and hope they get out soon, i dont think thats an excuse to project that behavior onto your partner or anyone else. and the last time i tried to confront them, they took no accountability and wouldnt let me talk to them about it.

I think its... alright-ish? Act 1 basically sets you up with the basics, the characters, the culture, the traditions, and lore so we know whats up. Cool. We are literally being fed information because we are tourists and i can excuse that.

Idk how to feel about traveller and paimon literally going 'ah look, an opportunity has arised, its time to do our thing and help with this major event'. I mean yes thats how its always been but mentioning it doesnt... help... it just points out a flaw.

The characters are fine enough imo. I really expected Mualani to have this super hyper attitude and squeaky voice we usually get from an 'everyone loves me' character but shes suprisingly mellow and i appreciate that alot. (May change with Citlali though and im not looking forward to it)

I do not like how it is very Tell not Show. Because you know what keeps being shown? The fact that Kachina is A CHILD. Maybe she's not an actual child who knows but hyv is clearly infantilizing her. Case in point:

The chief of the tribe literally asked you for ID because you are strangers hanging out around her. He literally said 'a good feeling isnt gonna be enough for your parents to trust these people'

After the chief knew who the traveller is, he said he could trust Kachina to go to the Stadium to sign up and not get into trouble. She HAS to participate because she has an Ancient Name and you can barely trust her to go to the stadium???

Kachina mentioning how she can't keep excusing her age for being a bad warrior. So she KNOWS shes young and either she or other people in the past has excused her for her performance because of her age.

The genuine actual side by side of her first match up. You know a child vs a massive buff man. Maybe it's just me but her kit is clearly not made to DPS and hyv making us fight these opponents with only her kinda makes it feel so much like a drag.

Everyone around her keeps saying oh shes actually really good, she almost made it last time, shes super powerful just lacking confidence. Well we dont really... see it. When the tournament started and we play as mualani and kachina all i can think about it 'yeah mualani is gonna do all the fighting here' and it adds to the idea that kachina literally did the bare minimum. But then suddenly we get a really cool cutscene of her defeating a 3 times winning veteran. It is not believable to me.

Also now that she's won we are literally sending her off to fight the abyss where she has a REAL CHANCE OF DYING but we gotta be ok with it because she can get resurrected? Are we not supposed to be concerned that we are sending a child to war with a real chance of her dying?

It is such a tonal shock and the traveller or paimon barely says anything about it so WE are supposed to be fine with it too? It probably is culture shock but like... SOME people still sees Clorinde as a killer despite doing her job as a duelist, how do you think those people will think seeing THIS tradition.

As for the bit where we go with mualani while we wait for kachina to come back from war, it was... alright i think. But the manufactured 'chillness' is there, like you can tell theyre trying their hardest to potray this tribe as the chill surfers one. Its also obvious they want us to like Atea. While she looks a lil overbearing i appreciate that they were being subtle about her 'my life isnt gonna last long so i am doing this dangerous task', they had to explain it anyway for mualani but i think them not stating out right at first that 'woah you werent going here because you can use the hotsprings again!' is a good choice, that is a good show not tell i think.

For now though the entire thing simply feels off because i feel like there's no stake at all for us. If kachina loses? Then she doesn't get sent to the war, thats kind of a good thing seeing how she did ended up 'dying'. We've met the archon but for some reason hasn't asked about our siblings or anything and the only reason we are staying is because its the right thing to do. Thats it. I think it's just... alot offered to us but none with actual value to the traveller personally.

While you can argue that fontaine is exactly like that, that we only stayed to help lyney with his trial and everything else because its the right thing to do. Lyney is fatui. Neuvillette is a dragon. And furina is an absent archon. Theres an air of mystery around how fontaine works and these people have MASSIVE connections. You almost want to stay to see how it'll turn up, what information will show up.

Natlan on the other hand revealed basically everything to us in the first 2 acts. Natlan gets abyss attacks because they dont have strong leyline connections. The fatui wants the gnosis and literally will just fight the archon for it. The archon is chill and kind and is the reincarnation of the original archon because we were told that. The facking traitor from night-wind is obviously the Ororon guy lmao. So what IS left to speculate? To look out for?

Like wow she's gonna carve us an Ancient Name? Why lmao. What for? We can purify the abyss we are not dying in the Night Kingdom.

and, springing off of my last post, heres a greater post talking about ramon and his relation with lying and secret-keeping - because, in my opinion, its a topic that needs to be known to better understand his character as secrets are a big part of his family.

ramon trusts fit. a ton. and theres nothing that could ever change that. he trusts what is kept secret is best kept this way. its why he wasnt as persistent to know about the contract, even if he knew there was lies and secrets at play that he hated. he trusted him. and that trust only grew when fit trusted him enough back to tell him a little bit of the family secret (the contract).

but, despite this trust, ramon also loves fit all too much. its why he gets so defensive when fit tells lies to him. ramon is a very observant boy. he knows a lot of things he shouldnt because of this. as fit once said, "the kids too damn smart for his own good". no lie leaves his detection because he can always tell the way people shift and change when theyre fibbing. but he doesnt push or prod on the matter usually. unless its fit. because he loves him too much. he needs to know whats going on with him. if he doesnt know, how can he help and protect him? its a reason he hates it when fit mutes, too. he always feels like fits keeping a secret from him when it happens.

i remember one time they were working on ground zero (i think it was the last time they worked on ground zero) and fit was fretting over his contract and ramon made a joke about how he acted like he would die if he didnt fullfill the contract. and fit laughed and said "no, ramon, i wont die." and then muted and said smth like "itll be much worse than death". and ramon noticed fit muted and got very upset. he basically threw a tantrum over it and wouldnt talk to fit until he told him what he was keeping secret. ramon said he was upset because the topic at hand (fit dying) and the fact he muted didn't spell anything good.

"if u tell me i [either] [lose] everything or u, i would choose [to keep] u"

something ramon said to show how much he cared for fit and how that care is why he was so upset. eventually fit did tell him and even told him more about what it meant if he didnt fullfill the contract - that if he failed, he would be trapped in the wastelands forever with no escape. and that this contract was his only chance at a semi-normal life.

but otherwise, ramons relation to lies and secret-keeping isnt negative. he has told lies and has kept secrets himself. hes no stranger to it. and he even keeps fit in check about the contract when he wants to tell other people things. i remember when fit found tazercraft in the prison he wanted to tell phil but ramon stopped him and told him some things are best kept secret. and, while this was mainly a very hrp response bc the admin wanted to let the duo solve the puzzles, he made a good point of if he trusts phil enough with this maybe he should tell him about the contract too. to which fit said "no, hes not ready to know about it yet". and, again, when ramon first built the satellite for the second attempt at contact, fit wanted to tell phil where he would be in case anything happened. and, again, ramon stopped him and reminded him if he wanted to do that then he'd have to tell phil everything. and the convo ended there.

I fee like you are forgetting that being trans isnt a choice. If i had the chance to not be trans and just be comfortable with my gender, i would. I really would. I would do it so my life wouldnt be in danger just by existing. I would do it so my identity doesnt become a political debate. I would do it so i could feel loved and appreciated. I would do it so i dont have to go through the hate for my body and wishing it was just a bit more androgynous and a bit more comforting. I would do it so i wouldnt be attacked. I would do it so i wouldnt need to be questioned every time i tell someone.

Identifies as trans because you have temporary dysphoria due to puberty

Identify as trans because of social pressures causing mental distress and self loathing of the body

Or in the last case you've been to a psychologist and they've gone through to make sure that none of those are it. At which point congrats your trans. As to "I wish I could change it because it's safer", that's just false. Statistically trans people are not more likely to be assaulted. However, because there being fewer trans people in the world the numbers will be cockeyed regardless. What's more, most trans people are not attacked because they are trans. They are just attacked, same as they would be otherwise. However society needs to believe everything is an attack on them so if a trans person gets harmed, it's considered "because they were trans". When often that's not even the truth.

Oh. And if you've been to a psychologist and they've affirmed you, you can not be certain you are trans. Because the process to be certain, is by eliminating all the other possibilities, assuring that the dysphoria is actually permanen. Then going through until you're 18-20, and helping you decide at that point if chemicals or surgery is the right way to go.

sokeefe kiss was beautiful and sweet but it lacked one thing for me and that was.........more emotion. I worry that Keefe's emotions are fucked up further than maybe we realize! but let me explain why the lack of emotion is actually sort of ok.

something I found very sweet but also really sad is how Keefe just seems so focused on everything that could go WRONG if he and Sophie are together. it's the first thing he says in response to her confession. but he isn't just worried about friend drama, and he isn't just worried about her safety because of his mom. he is worried about his own ability to succeed in this relationship that he's wanted for so long. Keefe has spent so much time trying to get used to the fact that he can't, and shouldn't, confess to Sophie because of things outside of his control, such as her mental state, things they are dealing with because of the never seen, and her not knowing her feelings. and he knows what it feels like to almost lose her because of mistakes he has made. "please don't let me mess this up" seems like something he's saying just to himself because this is the one relationship in his entire life that he has ever cared for someone to this extent and now that it's real and in front of him he can't crack jokes because he doesnt want to mess up this moment or make Sophie think he is not SO SO SO SERIOUS. he is just like Keefe.exe has stopped working.

not knowing how Sophie is feeling must be really hard too. he isn't sure, he can’t be sure. he wants her to be sure because he wants this to work out so badly

im not a thomas/alison shipper but alison's perception of thomas has always confused me tbh, like in about last night she seems to THOROUGHLY enjoy his company and then drunkenly tells him that if the situation was different she might have been with him? or in one of the lucy episodes i feel like she gets jealous when he fawns over lucy instead of her and she likes it when he points out her lipstick.. or that for all that she shows her annoyance for him (even listing him as a Con of staying in button house), she's also the one who seeks him out when he's watching the sunrise. of course she has more than a right to be annoyed with him for not accepting her numerous rejections, but i couldnt help but feel so sorry for thomas when she told him that in about last night, and dismisses it as her being drunk and then he doesnt even get a moment to process it before they move on to looking for dante. as youre one of my favourite thomas writers, i was wondering what your thoughts are about all that

Regarding your ask: I'm not a Thomas/Alison shipper either (as you probably know) but funnily enough, I've just been talking to @ginevralinton about how Alison almost encourages his behaviour at certain points in the show. You've already mentioned the whole Lucy thing where she seems to miss Thomas's attention and also 2x02 where she practically tells him he would have a chance with her if he weren't a ghost. But there's also 4x02 where she tells him she could kiss him after he found the stone from her mother's ring (which I know is just an expression of overwhelming gratitude but still, after all the time she's spent with Thomas that shouldn't have slipped out like that). And not to forget 5x01 where she implies she loves him back. Yes, it turns out to be a joke - a very cruel one, might I add, especially compared to the other ones - but she deliberately plays with his feelings there and feeds into his obsession.

Every now and then, I see people complain that Thomas doesn't get any character development because he doesn't move on from Alison. Which is true - he doesn't. But it's not for lack of trying on his part, and it's not his fault that Alison's actions are contradicting. She's not doing that on purpose, of course, but unconsciously or not, the way she sometimes acts around him is probably enough to give him someone like him - someone who desperately wants to be wanted and loved - the tiniest sliver of hope to latch onto.

Which means this whole thing is not just about Thomas not getting a hint but also about Alison sending mixed signals. Does that excuse Thomas's behaviour towards her? No. Should he have stopped his advances years ago? Of course. But that doesn't change the fact that they're both part of the problem (Alison to a lesser degree) which means they'll both have to be part of the solution as well.

(And on a side note: I don't remember if Thomas ever sees Alison's list of pros and cons but can you imagine how devastated he would feel if he saw, black on white, how unwanted he truly is? Edit: @martymckeaton reminded me that Thomas did see but Alison lied to him about what it meant and that makes it even worse.)

i fully think we've reached the point where taylor is in way too deep to the extent that changing anything now would end horribly bad for her on both sides. shes still holding onto this thought that shes gonna have this dramatic reveal where she puts the villains in jail and the heroes welcome her with open arms. but after that conversation with armsmaster thats just !!!!!!! not going to fucking happen!!! it doesnt work like that!!! also there keep being these little sidebars and moments where she admits to herself that shes excited about villain work or like..a chance to hang out with her new friends. girl you are not going to join the protectorate i can see right thriugh your dumbass.

NIGHTMARE

she somtimes gets nightmares every now and then, much like the one she has in episode 2

they dont happen every night, but when she does have them she doesnt seek you out... youre sleeping, and she doesnt want to bother you

unless the two of you are sleeping in the same bed, shes going to leave you alone

and even then, being in the same bed doesnt mean all that much

you can ask her to talk about her dream, but shes going to gently reassure you that shes fine and theres nothing to worry about

with enough time to let her dreams wear her down, though, shes eventually going to spill to you

she doesnt exactly want comfort, she knows its not going to help all that much

so, offering a distraction may be best... you two typically end up staying in bed and just making small talk

she doesnt do it maliciously, she doesnt even do it to try to win the argument... it just comes out, before she can stop the words from coming out but just because she didnt really mean to, it doesnt make the fact she hurt you any less apparent

she doesnt double down, instead she tries to backtrack- whatever the two of you were arguing about doesnt even mean anything to her anymore, she wants to undo what was done right now

she gives you time to collect yourself when it becomes clear that you need time, she gives one last "sorry" before giving you space

shes beside herself and shes disgusted with herself for using your insecurities and secrets against you in the argument, the moment you show some sign of being ready to talk shes going to let you know how horrible she feels for hurting you

she makes it clear that she didnt mean to hurt you, and shes going to do anything to prove that shes being honest

its going to take some time for the tenseness and awkwardness to fade away, but pomni is dedicated to making things work... though, thats not her call here is it?

Hello! Welcome back! This is a continuation of the events that happened in the first part, saw it got a little attention so wanted to spread my wings and show y’all my real potential.

After the course of events of last week, (y/n) watching as rocket pulled the aliens heart out of its chest. Listening to quill speak to her about how he can’t believe she can understand groot. She was used to it by now, she’s been around this multiple times, like a dog chasing its own tail, something people find strange but to her perfectly normal.

“Hey (y/n), snap out of it. What's going on with you?” Quill asked as he looked over at (y/n), he raised an eyebrow at her. “You seem not interested..” Quill added as he crossed his arms waiting for a response as he looked her up and down slightly, before looking back up at her eyes.

“Yes, i am fine, Just a lot on my mind.” (y/n) says as she lets out a small huff looking down at herself for a second taking in the fact she had gotten more dressed up then she usually does, she then looks back up at quill, she can't help but show him a small smile to reassure him.

“Still kinda shocked you wanted me as your partner, over say rocket, or gamora..” (y/n) stated as she kept looking up at him, taking in the fact that she now noticed just how much taller he was compared to her, she took a small step back as she let out a small huff once again.

“Well for starters if you noticed, Gamora wants nothing to do with me, she's not the same as she was before..” Quill stated as he shook his head a little and let out a small sign, getting more sad as he really got a chance to think about the situation he is in, he never really felt like this before, even if he did he doesnt remember the last time he did at least.

“You know how Luke felt when Yoda told him the truth about his father. the shock in his face, the way he so desperately wanted to understand but deep down he already knew the truth..” Quill started to say to (y/n) as he looked away from her for a second hoping that she’ll understand the reference.

“The way that he looks at Yoda asking if it's true, the look in his eyes as with pure confusion and curiosity as he realizes that deep down he already knows that it is his father. Thinking about how he feels so out of place and tempted to turn to the darkside to be with his father or to train and be the one who changes the way of the force like his father was supposed to..” (y/n) says as she clears her throat a little and looks down at the floor for a second then looks back up at quill as she hears a chuckle come from him.

“Doesn't help that he finds out leia is his sister, i mean after that kiss and all..” Quill hums out his tone changing as he takes a step closer to (y/n) looking down at her as he licks his lips keeping his eyes down on her. “Well technically Leia kisses Luke to make Han jealous, way before they knew they were siblings.” (Y/n) stated as she looked up at Quill raising an eyebrow at him and noticed how he had gotten closer to her.

“Kinda reminds me of someone i know..” (y/n) says softly as she stepped closer to quill looking up at him standing up on her tippy toes as she wrapped an arm around his neck and pulled herself up closer to him because of the height difference. As she pulled herself closer to him she leaned her head close to his ear. “Kissing Luke to make Han jealous, pulling away just to tease Han watching as Luke had a smug look on his face..” (y/n) whispers into Quill's ear, making him wrap an arm around her waist and pull her closer into his chest as he turns his head towards her, looking down at her innocent eyes that are now darker than usual.

“How could he not be jealous? Leia is one of the best characters, pretty hot too..” Quill said softly as he moved one of his hands to push some of (y/n)’s hair behind her ear, he can't help but lick his lips as he kept his eyes locked on hers glancing down at her lips for a split second before looking back into her eyes with a small smirk as he noticed her eyes slowly growing darker with lust as he held her chin between his thumb and index finger feeling her warm breath against his lips from how close they were to each other, feeling her chest as it caved in and out trying to stay calm and collected as he spoke to her.

“Obviously cant forget about how Han towers over leia, talking to her telling her how he knows she likes him, how he tells her “its because there aren't enough scoundrels in her life” the icon scene..ya know..” Quill says in a soft but still deep tone as his thumb lightly traced over her bottom lip teasingly before holding back onto her chin his grip getting slightly more tight on her chin as he pulled her up a little as he leaned down moving his lips closer to hers, using his thumb once again to trace her bottom lip teasingly as it was the only thing keeping their lips separated.

ngl, when I first read the itoshi brothers backstory, my initial thought was that this type of conflict could only happen between siblings as they both lashed out and hurt each other deeply and I understand both sides of it as well.

On rin's side, rin was excited to see his brother who he hasnt seen in a few years and missed a lot in both football and companionship. But sae's time in spain changed him and he doesnt recognize him, it feels like he changed their shared dream without consulting him.

He admires sae too much to be the best striker, he believes that that title belongs to sae. So rin felt like his brother threw him away and looked down on him when he lost the one-on-one. Rin started questioning their whole relationship like it was false and thinking that he meant nothing to sae, all those good memories are now burnt like trash. Rin's worldview shattered and couldnt stand anything that reminded him of sae, while at the same time, he yearned for his approval.

Sae, on the other hand, went straight to rin after he got back from spain. He didnt go home to put his stuff away before confronting rin, it was that serious for him.

Before I go in depth about his reaction, you gotta remember that sae went to spain when he was around 12/13 years old (7th grade). He was young, dealing with culture shock, language barrier, homesickness, and the feeling that he was not good enough to continue as a striker. No matter how much passion you have for something, sometimes its just not meant to be so you learn to adjust and go into something that is more suited for your skills.

With all of these negative feelings that's been brewing over the past couple of years, sae went to talk to the only person who he thought would be understanding, empathising, and supportive of him and his new goal.

He tried to adjust their shared dream from being number 1 and 2 striker to him being the best midfielder while rin is the best striker so rin would still be onboard. But instead he got the last bit of hope in his heart was crushed when rin rejected him and told him he's not the brother that he remembers. He went through whatever happened in spain and rins words were the final nail to his coffin. Something inside broke, he has nothing to lose anymore, no one to rely on.

So he went with the one-on-one without holding back. And called rins soccer lukewarm cause rin was basically copying his style while rin original way was completely different. This also made sae feel so infuriated with rin cause rin actually has the skills that he lacks to become the best striker. Sae calls him out on this by telling him that he didnt experience the real world and that he should give up if this is how wishes to play cause he knows that rins not gonna survive cause he didnt.

All of this misfortune happening to them around the ages of 16-17ish and 14-15ish. they are both teenagers, so they have a chance to learn and grow from these interactions and eventually mend their relationship. But what are siblings, especially teen siblings, if not petty.

It's kinda annoying (to me) when ppl disregard the fact that they were both hurt.

Yeah, I admit, that sae was harsh, as a brother, after the u20 vs. blue lock game. As a world-renowned player, his judgment, though biased from his hate towards japanese football, is frankly correct. Ego literally reiterated what what sae told rin to the team afterward.

not to sound like an edgelord but. the traveler. if we can acknowledge that the Darkness isnt ontologically Evil, i think we can (PLEASE) acknowledge that the Light isnt inherently good. and im not talking about the superpowers we get, they've (narrative team) made it quite clear that individuals choose to do what they will with based on their own morals. but the traveler is, imo, positioned as a Morally Good Agent Of The Light far more than the witness is Of The Darkness, and i think we need to talk more about the traveler's agenda!!! again, this complexity isnt completely absent from the narrative, but it doesnt feel like those interpretations are... metatextually supported igss? like zavala's frustration with the traveler leaving feels more like a very christian (as someone who was not raised religious) test of faith that zavala (and the canonical YW) have Passed and will be Rewarded.
