listen i’ve always been a sucker for the placebo effect but i just mixed ginger turmeric juice with orange juice and i swear i can feel my immune system replenishing like a healing potion in an RPG. the little green plus signs are floating around my head and my health meter is rising.

#i got a late season flu shot and it hit me like a train #i also had a little bit of a cold from the kids at work #so i feel like i got taken out at the knee the last two days #but this juice??? reviving #it’s extra calcium orange juice and the ginger soother drink from walmart #no gatekeeping in my house #the ginger juice also has like honey and lemon and black pepper #but in the orange juice the whole thing just tastes Good #i can taste the ginger but it’s like 95% orange juice so i’m a happy little clam

Corpse Reviver No. 2

Corpse Revivers have been popular hangover cures since the 19th Century, but one doesn't need to be tipsy to indulge in these tipples! Corpse Reviver No. 2, my favourite of the lot, is indeed best enjoyed sober, I reckon; its delectable tartness enhanced by a hint of sweetness (from the orange liqueur) and a dash of herbaceous flavour (from the absinthe)! It certainly does lift one's spirits up! Cheers!

Ingredients (serves 1):

1/4 teaspoon absinthe

6 large ice cubes

22.5 millilitres/3/4 fluid ounces (1 1/2 tablespoon) London Dry Gin

22.5 millilitres/3/4 fluid ounces (1 1/2 tablespoon) Lillet Blanc

22.5 millilitres/3/4 fluid ounces (1 1/2 tablespoon) orange liqueur (like Cointreau)

1/2 juicy lemon

Pour absinthe in a chilled coupe glass, and swirl it around the glass before pouring it out, to rinse.

Place ice cubes in a shaker.

Top with Gin, Lillet Blanc and Cointreau.

Thoroughly squeeze in the juice of the lemon halve.

Close shaker tightly and shake energetically until well-chilled.

Strain into prepared coupe glass.

Enjoy Corpse Reviver No.2 immediately.

Painting your nails can be so fun! There are so many colors you can buy and designs you can create. painting nails is a great form of self-care! You can paint them while watching something or just put all your attention into the detail. painting nails can be very therapeutic.

𓆩♡𓆪 Journaling 𓆩♡𓆪

Journaling is one of my favorite hobbies. It is very calming to empty all that's on your mind onto paper. If you are someone who deals with stress a lot I recommend journaling. Just so you know, handwriting does not have to be perfect when journaling!

𓆩♡𓆪 Crocheting𓆩♡𓆪

Crocheting is a hobby that you can really show off with. It is a hobby that definitely takes more effort and practice to learn. I recommend starting with beginner videos on youtube. Don't be too hard on yourself, everyone starts from somewhere!

I know we have all heard of this one but, give it a chance! There are so many genres out there. romcoms are my personal favorite. You don't have to read a book... You can read magazines or Tumblr posts. Reading can be very relaxing. A great way to get your mind off things.
