“get up,” you think to yourself. feet hit the ground, you’re standing but all you can do is stay there and not move. dizziness? a little. keep going. take some steps forward. you feel heavy, like when you’re in the ocean and you come out with your swimwear full of water. whatever, just keep going.

you make your way to the kitchen where you’d assumed minho was cooking something, maybe breakfast for himself.

“minho?” you ask, voice hoarse from sleep. his head turns and looks at you with a straight face before he breaks into a small smile. your head still hurts somewhat, you think that everytime you acknowledge it, it gets worse. “did you have a good rest?” he asks curiously while he works with some pans by the stove. you wonder what he’s making, so you ask.

“guess,” he replies to your question as he flips one of the pancakes on the pan with ease. he looks back at you after a moment of silence passes, smirking. “well, it doesn’t smell bad,” you comment hesitantly. minho snorts in his own playful manner, looking back at the pancake he’d just flipped onto the plate. “well, you better have an appetite with you, too, because they’re good. anything i make is good.”

“psh. sure.” a weak smile and a couple steps forward, your fatigue is much worse. you make your way to the island and rest your elbows onto it, weight leaning onto the counter. you close your eyes tightly for several long moments; when minho turns around, his eyebrows furrow.

“something’s wrong?” he asks— well, obviously, yes— and sets a plate with a pancake to the side while setting down a couple forks for the moment. he brushes hair out of your face. something’s definitely wrong.

your throat is sore and your head hurts. you try to swallow against it, but you can’t seem to get any satisfaction, and it just hurts to swallow. “headache,” you manage to mumble out. you open your eyes slowly, letting them adjust to the light. it’s already afternoon outside. why is he making breakfast? you slept in the same bed last night, you probably infected him or something. did you fall asleep on him again? god, you feel disgusting.

“are you okay?” he asks gently, reaching out and pressing the back of his hand gently to your forehead. it’s oddly warm. not feverishly warm, but unusual. he determines it could get worse from now, for sure, and goes around to grab a clean glass to fill up with water. he places it in front of you without a word, but he’s offering. you’re thinking of so much right now.

you just want to go home, but then again you kind of don’t. also, without minho’s support you might just die. not really, but it’d feel that way. ugh.

“do you need to throw up?” he asks gently. you shake your head no, quickly. you don’t want to puke up everything in your stomach. it wouldn’t help anyone. you drink the water slowly, hoping it won’t taste awful. it’s just water. he holds your free wrist with a soft, soft grip and rubs circles onto it with his thumb as he stands by you while you sip slowly from the glass he had given you. the water is good. it’s clearing your head; a little. it hurts to swallow, though not as much. maybe it’s helping. you finish the glass and set it down next to you, leaning back into your hands on the table. you look over to minho and notice he’s looking back at you with concern etched across his features. he knows exactly what you need and want. he’s so good like that, when he helps you. it’s unmatched. man, you sure love your boyfriend. minho continues with his soothing movements on your wrist and the throbbing in your head isn’t so bad anymore. hell, it’s practically gone.

“better?”

“yeah, i think. better.”

“that’s great, love.” he smiles and leans down to try and press his lips against yours. his hands find their way to your waist and you have to stop him.

“what’s wrong?”

“i’ll get you sick.”

he stares at you for a second with that teasing smile of his. “i don’t care.”

“what?”

minho kisses you gently for a moment— though it sort of feels longer than that— before pulling away. “i said i don’t care, sweetheart. i love you.” and he does. minho loves you. there’s nothing else that matters. there’s never been anything else, ever since he met you. you’re his world. he’s yours. you both know that. he can’t bear to even think that you don’t. he’d rather suffer than lose you. minho will do anything to keep you safe. you know that, too. he knows you know. so he presses another kiss, this time to your forehead. you’re his moon, his sun and his stars; he’d never deny it.

“want those pancakes now?” minho offers, hand still around your waist.

“oh, yeah, please.”

“then let’s eat,” minho says, walking off to get the plate that has the food on it. he puts it down on the table for you with the fork sitting on top. you pick up the fork, taking a bite off the pancake.

“here, too.” the guy slides over some condiments: syrup, jelly. “if you want any.”

“thanks.”

“i didn’t wake you up today, did i?” he asks while sitting down.

“don’t know,” you reply with a straight face, lifting a piece of the pancake to your mouth with your fork. actually, he was right about the pancakes. these are good. super good. the syrup is warm and smooth. he rolls his eyes playfully at you.

“okay, sorry for waking you up.”

“no, it’s fine. thank you.”

“how are you feeling?”

“a bit better. i guess it was worse on an empty stomach.” you laugh awkwardly, trying to ignore the lingering pain in your head. it’s significantly less than before, though, and for that you are grateful.

“is there anything i can do?”

“just stay here,” you suggest, continuing eating. “maybe cuddle me?” you say quietly with an awkward smile. minho nods and smirks again. “wont you get me sick?” he answers. “i’m only kidding. you know i’d love to. finish eating for me, ‘kay?”

turning his back to get another glass, you shove the remainder of whatever was left of your pancake into your mouth. they were delicious and you couldn’t help yourself. he grabs another glass of water, this time for himself, and sips at it.

“you should rest more often,” he comments as he walks over to you. you don’t exactly reply while you chew. minho grins, putting the empty glass on the island. it clinks to the marble with a satisfying sound. you lean back, having finished your bite.

“want more?”

“no. all good. full.”

“okay.” he nods and looks off into the distance, not looking at anything specifically, just kind of thinking; like the way you were this morning. he glances back at you and sets his cup down. “do you want those cuddles now?”

with a smile and a nod, he’s next to you in a heartbeat. he picks you up, with only a moment’s worth of struggle and then carries you to the couch.

“we can watch something, if you want. or is a screen too much on your eyes?”

“no, it’s okay. screens don’t bother me,” you insist. minho goes along with it and sets you down on the long couch with him. he’s laying down against the armrest, back facing the corner while you’re in front of him. his arms are wrapped all around you and he just kind of lays with you there, head buried into your shoulder from behind. he giggles breathily.

“has that headache of yours gone?” he asks while he grabs the control to the television.

“mostly.”

“good.”

he clicks around and finds your favorite show, your comfort one, and while he can’t see your face well he knows you’re smiling. he starts the first episode, right from the beginning, and cuddles up to you warmly.

“i don’t care if i get sick,” he reminds you.

And I saw in the “it’s you it’s still you despite everything it’s still you” post that in the last picture they looked more like a girl with longer hair and stuff. Yeah they're still genderfluid in the future, and they're on E! I know not everyone reads the fics (you should!) but there are hints that Wars has body dysphoria, leading up to Legend putting the pieces together and saying it outright. Currently in-fic, Wars hasn't decided what they want to do about it, but the endgame is in fact physically transitioning. They'll come to this conclusion when they're ready.

Post-E, Wars binds and ties his hair back on masc days. On neutral days, they braid part of their hair and wear autumn tones to signify how they're feeling, but could go either way with binding. On fem days, she likes wearing dresses and having her hair down, but that's not a requirement.

He was a lone wolf for so long that now, having a crew of friends and someone he holds near and dear is a fresh summer's breath for him.

He is afraid of Mizora, though. Not that she would hurt him; she wouldn't get anything out of that. He fears the restrictions, rules, and stipulations she would put on him if he sought you out.

Due to this, Wyll tried so hard to keep you at arm's length, only letting you know small fragments of him.

When Mizor made her debut, he felt better about his chances with you. He knew having someone as kind, understanding, and warm as you by his side was just what he needed.

Wyll courted you properly, asking if you would like to explore romance with him, go on small dates, and even take a dance lesson here and there.

No matter how badly he wanted to kiss you, though, he kept refraining until you asked him.

Once you two were past courting and officially together, he made it a point to get explicit permission from Mizora to tell you about Avernus and the Demons who inhabited the other planes.

He may have had to do a shady thing or two to earn this privilege, but it was worth seeing your eyes light up when sharing this limited knowledge.

When freed of the illithid, he would happily give up galivanting across the sword coast to settle down with you. He would only leave because Mizora asked him for assistance.

Wyll watched you flourish as a shopkeeper for books and magical resources, things only your humble shop could attain because of Wyll's Connections and adventures.

If you ever had a tough day or became bedridden, Wyll would drop everything to assist you. He would be your personal nurse. He'd even call Halsin or Shadowheart to help if he was worried about his lack of skill.

It was a cold day in Faerun; snow had just coated the land and would soon fall again. You were seated in the foyer of your new home, watching the outdoors grow colder. You, however, were quite warm. A hand-knitted blanket was wrapped around you, and a warm fur pelt Mizora gifted you adorned your shoulders. Wyll was by the fire, tending to it. Today was tough for your body; everything was sore and hurting. Wyll did everything he could to help, even utilizing the books and notes Shadowheart and Halsin left for him.

As soon as the warmth was at its peak in the home, Wyll kissed you atop your head and made his way to the kitchen. He would prepare a meal for you two and ensure you had some sustenance. While still staring out at the beautiful white blanket of snow, the thought occurred to you that you were the fearless leader of the band that killed the neatherbrain. The illithid gave you an extraordinary gift of no more pain for the price of being turned. To think you almost took that risk but instead knew your humanity was far more a gift. Plus, you would have lost all the amazing friends you made.

Now, by your partner's side, you were even more confident in your choices because you wouldn't have him. Wyll returned some food and assisted you when you needed it. Once satisfied, you two decide some more rest would do you both well. Wyll had just returned a day or two ago from a grueling task from Mizora. Wyll gently picked you up and walked you back to your room. He knew just as well as you that you could take care of yourself, as you have done this time and time before, but his help was always so warm and appreciated. Once in bed, Wyll curled in behind you, holding you close. With one final kiss on your head, you both fell into a simple slumber. You might feel well enough to build a snowman when you wake.

But Penacony gives them enough time to rest before another week spent working on sick or dying patients. There's something else they do between their job, though...

BACKSTORY: There's thing thing, you see. Lucie from always was a rather sick child, struggling with their health and at one point things got so bad, that Lucie truly believed the end was near. With no money to afford proper medicine, only thing left was pray for a miracle, and yet what Lucie got was a curse under the guise of one.

Because they were young and desperate to live, when a mysterious doctor offered them medicine that could save them they instantly agreed, unaware how big the pay would be for their life.

That doctor turned out to be a part of a group of abundance followers, that in the name of Yaoshi would perform... rather questionable medical experiments, be it on medicine, be it on other human livings and Lucie, not wanting to lose their only source of medicine, forced themselves to join the group and assist them in whatever experiments they were doing, even if it included hurting other people.

Luckily, with time Lucie managed to learn how to brew their own medicine– alongside with more general knowledge regarding medicine, which allowed them to run away from that terrible group of people, self-called followers of Yaoshi yet filthy liars in reality. But not without a revenge, no.

To this day people wonder who– or what killed that group one by one, everyone dropping dead like some flies... Lucie wouldn't know. They are happy to be the only survivor and to be finally free.

━ Lucie is a cane user. They use a cane majority of the time, even in Penacony, but they don't need it always. Some days are better, some days are worse. Nonetheless, they keep it around all the time because their cane, in reality, is also a concealed blade. Great to defense!

━ Despite what one might think, they genuinely are a nice, sweet person, always willing to help, sometimes they even appear quite naive and stupid but don't believe it, Lucie is far away from being a little, naive sweetheart. Although, that attitude stays even when they are experimenting on someone... it's unsettling, sometimes.

━Their work schedule is chiller than a normal doctor's though. They are allowed to have more free time and they don't have to be at the hospital all the time. For sure Lucie is his little lucky charm (meaning, more of a bodyguard and someone to bother while gambling all his money away) but they also are his sound of reason, always complaining at him to stop gambling so much, you're going to do something stupid and finally lose a game and, please, stop spending so much on me, I have no ways of paying you back anymore...

My gender fluctuates, and because of that I never found a label, not one that was popularized or I had Access to at the time anyway. I always felt masc, but not always male, no matter the day I had some masculinity, however other days I'd feel more fem, or androgynous, maybe even female. At the time it was hard, and confusing, at times even upsetting but eventually new terms were made, or maybe it was just that microlabels were being accepted more, either way it was a huge journey, that still hasn't stopped. I currently use a mix of labels and xenos, but that's just works for me!

If you're currently going through your own journey, gender or not, know that it's yours, and even though it feels endless now you will find something that works for you! And if you don't, make it! The mogai/LGBTQ community is full of coiners (ppl who coin labels), or abstract labels that you may have to search for a little harder than some of the surface level identities, but no matter how you identify, or if you've found your label, you're valid, and you, and your journey are beautiful!

Having a ton of microlabels is cool! Having no label at all is also cool!

Hi! I'm writing a character that's Pansexual and Gender fluid. I want to let the readers know he's pansexual and gender fluid, so how can I do that?

Even is it ok to have him like wearing dresses and feminine clothes?

I really don't know what the plot of your story is so I don't know what works for your character and what doesn't but

Absolutely it's fine for him to like dresses and want to dress feminine. That's completely fine! I'd like to throw out that presentation doesn't equal gender and that if he wants to dress feminine it doesn't always have to be on days where he is feeling more feminine either. Certainly dressing in a way that's more based in societal standards on days where you feel more masc/fem is totally normal, but so is dressing how you want whenever you want

2. Again, you could talk about crushes or past partners if romance is an aspect of what you're writing. This way you get out the fact that he's attracted to multiple genders

3. Pronoun usage is different for every genderfluid individual so you can play around with pronouns and what you want this character to use. Again, pronouns also do not equal gender and you can use a standard set of pronouns, mixed set of pronouns, neopronouns, etc.

4. Remember that genderfluid people don't always have gender fluctuations and can feel feminine/masculine for long periods of time without and change. The opposite can also be true where you may feel feminine in the morning and masculine some time in the afternoon

A lot depends on the plot really and what fits for your character but I always suggest reaching out to individuals who share the identity of your characters and speak to them. See if they are willing to just speak or even if they're able/want to beta read.

Second point. Masc vs fem. How do I put it? It's a lie. Ok, maybe that's extreme, but really, it is nothing more than an arbitrary decision that a group of people have agreed on for the here and now. It changes and it fluctuates with time and different cultures. What makes something masculine? What makes something feminine? Colors? Shapes? Textures? Why does it have to be one versus the other and not both or neither? It's a waste of time trying to put things into boxes that make only a small fraction of the population happy.

What's really important? That you feel good in what you choose to wear. That you look at yourself in the mirror and think "I am proud of the person I am becoming". That you try stuff out and see what works for you.

My usual addendum to this: it's okay for things to change. I have been physically unable to have my hair reach even my ears for a long time, and now I am so happy it's almost down to my shoulders. It doesn't change who I am. It doesn't change that some days I feel more masc and other days more femme. It's just how I feel like having my hair at the moment. Might shave it all off in a month, who knows?

hihi i was wondering if i could maybe request something where the reader's way of expressing themselves fluctuates lots from leaning masc to fem and even just dressing like a lil trash monster to being dolled up for no special occasion? i kinda wanted to request billy lenz because i liked the idea of like every time the reader comes up to the attic they have a completely different kinda look? but whichever character you find easiest to write for this prompt works fine too :> (im sorry if im missing anything in this prompt ive never requested anything before this is my first time)

Ok this sounds pretty fun I like this. I say I'm genderfluid in a guy way or just a trans guy in general. But I do flop between fem, masc and stuff. I do wish I was more androdynus though but I guess I'll have to wait till I can fix a lot of stuff about me. But I totally get this. My style often changes and I like this idea a lot. I added Bubba and the twins because Bubba is a genderfluid icon and the twins are fun to write about. I hope you enjoy <3 also Billy is just like "Idfk what gender is" so I head cannon him as using he/it pronouns.

He’s probably already been watching you for awhile now before you even met so he knows about your wide aray of clothes. 

He loves how you always find a new way to dress up every day. Monday you look like a barbie doll, Tuesday you look like someones dad, etc. 

He really loves when you get all dressed up and visit him. “Is pretty piggy all dressed up for Billy?” 

He might make “requests” on outfits. Like either ask you to dress like something or just pick out the clothes himself for you. “Billy loves seeing Y/N in this pretty skirt.” 

He loves how you always bring in something new and fun and will definitly ask you to do his makeup for him. 

The Sawyer brothers

They’ll be confused as to why your styles is always changing but they’re not gonna complain. Get your job done and don’t ruin stuff and you’re golden. 

Bubba loves having someone who often flips between fem, masc, and androdynus like he does too. He often takes things from victims (Like pams bracelet it’s cannon) and he will happily share that with you. 

Depending on your size you’ll either have to borrow clothes from the twins or Bubba. Bubba and Nubbins won’t mind but Chop Top might like have some words to say to you. But he won’t get far if you’re more fem that day and you just act really playful and flirty. If you’re more masc in his clothes still be playful but go to Bubba and Nubbins for support. 

Bubba sews so whatever you want made for you he can do it. Want some pink bell bottoms? Let him find the fabric to use. Want a dark green ringer tee? He’s looking for the pattern to use. He loves making clothes for you and seeing what you come up with.
