| @harlonvflowers | | setting :: the coronation | | the coronation | | summary :: the high commander speaks with his goodbrother about plans in horn hill upon their return to the reach |
"One day, when Arlo is a man, he will be grateful to know his Uncle has gifted something so grand to the lands of his house." Omer started the conversation as he moved to sit down with the other. He and Lucrezia had plans at these events. They went around and spoke to people with each other and then, as she circled the room to speak with the women he would move about and speak with the men. And one of the conversations he wanted to have was with his goodbrother, one that was long overdue between the two of them. House Tarly had 15,000 troops, they were well positioned and Harlon was smart enough to learn whatever Omer needed to teach him.
Tumblr media
"And we thank you, my lord. I thank you. I also want to apologize for the delay in this conversation. Should have happened some time ago. The Gods have looked upon me with favorable eyes and given me great distraction." Marriage to the woman he loved and children with her. There was a time when he knew he'd never be able to call her his and now she was. She would always be. The mother of his children. The reason he sees a future.
"Now, what do you know about armies? About commanding men? What do you know of Horn Hill?" Omer didn't like to beat around the bush, he liked to get straight to the point, staying on topic. Some would say one of his least desirable qualities was just talking, saying it all at once. But Omer thought it was madness to complain about being efficient.

who: @wcrdsarewind @ofgoldengrove, @harlonvflowers, @garlandhightower, @florencehightower, @rhea-florent where: the reach settlements, barrowtown, the north what: the abduction of lord omer florent, lord commander of the reach
the wooden doors seemed to slam shut behind the stream of individuals that had swiftly made their way into a chamber upon the news of their lord commander being taken, amongst many others. in truth, cedric tyrell's main priority was securing the location of omer florent above all else. the man's wellbeing was a matter that could only be addressed closer the time; and cedric himself had faith in his stubborn ability to survive. "there has been no news from torrhen stark for he is dealing with the abduction of lady karstark." he spoke, his tone serious. "meaning, i am inclined to believe that this was not coordinated by the starks as revenge for the chaos of our allies the other night upon their soil. it's a threat."

the water almost made her feel as though she were floating on the clouds themselves; drapes of black lace swirling in the heated, hazy pool. an indoor thermal spring was one of the few benefits that came with being forced to remain residing, for however short it may be, in the remains of a macabre fortress on a volanic island. it was not uncommon to see tufts of smoke and ash billowing from the base of dragonstone’s rocks from time to time; a slight, ominous reminder of house targaryen’s infamous saying. slowly dunking her head beneath the water a final time, guinevere almost glided over to the cobbled steps that took her from the heated pool, clutching her black lace gown she used for swimming closer around her body as two ladies rubbed dry her dripping golden curls with a cotton towel.
the lioness of casterly rock had begun the brisk walk back to her wing when it occurred to her she had left behind a golden ring, encrusted with rubies that had been gifted to her for her eighteenth birthday. quickly retracing her steps, with two ladies and a guard by her side, she motioned for them to remain by the door as she quickly popped back into the dimly lit hall, about to cross to where she had left the ring upon a small stone surface when she realised there was already another in the water.
remaining by the doorway, guinevere narrowed her eyes as she attempted to make out the identity of this figure; though it were to no avail. he was not clothed from his waist up, though judging by the circumstances, this was not something wholly inappropriate. “forgive me, sir.” she spoke, her voice gentle as she took a few more steps into the room, assured of her safety with her guard just beyond the doorway.  “i’ll only need a moment to retrieve an object of mine.” guinevere was not foolish enough to let a stranger know she were seeking out jewels, lest the unknown man rob her for her assets. quickly striding over to the stone surface and slipping the ring back onto her finger, the woman ensured her eyes did not stray to the stranger; instead focusing on the ripples of the water. “i do not believe we have crossed paths before.”

Who: @harlonvflowers Where: Horn Hill
Lynora was sound asleep in her bed, as she had been for hours at this point, when she felt a strong hand come up to cover her mouth. Her eyes shot open and she was about to shriek before she realized who it was that had intruded upon her slumber. “Harlon?..” She asked in the darkness, sitting up to look at his face that appeared plastered in concern. “Brother, what is it? What’s wrong?” She asked, her eyes scanning over his for any trace of what it could be.

Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima is an iconic photograph of six United States Marines raising the U.S. flag atop Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima in the final stages of the Pacific War. The photograph, taken by Joe Rosenthal of the Associated Press on February 23, 1945, was first published in Sunday newspapers two days later and reprinted in thousands of publications. It was the only photograph to win the Pulitzer Prize for Photography in the same year as its publication, and was later used for the construction of the Marine Corps War Memorial in 1954, which was dedicated to honor all Marines who died in service since 1775. The memorial, sculpted by Felix de Weldon, is located in Arlington Ridge Park, near the Ord-Weitzel Gate to Arlington National Cemetery and the Netherlands Carillon. The photograph has come to be regarded in the United States as one of the most significant and recognizable images of World War II.
The flag raising occurred in the early afternoon, after the mountaintop was captured and a smaller flag was raised on top that morning. Three of the six Marines in the photograph—Sergeant Michael Strank, Corporal Harlon Block, and Private First Class Franklin Sousley—were killed in action during the battle; Block was identified as Sergeant Hank Hansen until January 1947 and Sousley was identified as PhM2c. John Bradley, USN, until June 2016. The other three Marines in the photograph were Corporals (then Privates First Class) Ira Hayes, Harold Schultz, and Harold Keller; Schultz was identified as Sousley until June 2016 and Keller was identified as Rene Gagnon until October 2019. All of the men served in the 5th Marine Division on Iwo Jima.
The Associated Press has relinquished its copyright to the photograph, placing it in the public domain.
There were two American flags raised on top of Mount Suribachi, on February 23, 1945. The photograph Rosenthal took was actually of the second flag-raising, in which a larger replacement flag was raised by different Marines than those who raised the first flag.
Tumblr media
Photographs of the first flag flown on Mount Suribachi were taken by Staff Sergeant Louis R. Lowery of Leatherneck magazine, who accompanied the patrol up the mountain, and other photographers afterwards.
Raising the First Flag on Iwo Jima by SSgt. Louis R. Lowery, USMC, is the most widely circulated photograph of the first flag flown on Mt. Suribachi. Left to right: 1st Lt. Harold Schrier (kneeling behind radioman's legs), Pfc. Raymond Jacobs (radioman reassigned from F Company), Sgt. Henry "Hank" Hansen wearing cap, holding flagstaff with left hand), Platoon Sgt. Ernest "Boots" Thomas (seated), Pvt. Phil Ward (holding lower flagstaff with his right hand), PhM2c. John Bradley, USN (holding flagstaff with both hands, his right hand above Ward's right hand and his left hand below.), Pfc. James Michels (holding M1 Carbine), and Cpl. Charles W. Lindberg (standing above Michels).
Tumblr media
Rosenthal's photograph was used as the basis for C. C. Beall's poster Now... All Together for the Seventh War Loan Drive (14 May - 30 June 1945).
Rosenthal's photograph won the 1945 Pulitzer Prize for Photography, the only photograph to win the prize in the same year it was taken.
News pros were not the only ones greatly impressed by the photo. Navy Captain T.B. Clark was on duty at Patuxent Air Station in Maryland that Saturday when it came humming off the wire in 1945. He studied it for a minute, and then thrust it under the gaze of Navy Petty Officer Felix de Weldon. De Weldon was an Austrian immigrant schooled in European painting and sculpture. De Weldon could not take his eyes off the photo. In its classic triangular lines he recognized similarities with the ancient statues he had studied. He reflexively reached for some sculptor's clay and tools. With the photograph before him he labored through the night. Within 72 hours of the photo's release, he had replicated the six boys pushing a pole, raising a flag. Upon seeing the finished model, the Marine Corps commandant had de Weldon assigned to the Marine Corps until de Weldon was discharged from the navy after the war was over.
Starting in 1951, de Weldon was commissioned to design a memorial to the Marine Corps. It took de Weldon and hundreds of his assistants three years to finish it. Hayes, Gagnon, and Bradley, posed for de Weldon, who used their faces as a model. The three Marine flag raisers who did not survive the battle were sculpted from photographs.
The flag-raising Rosenthal (and Genaust) photographed was the replacement flag/flagstaff for the first flag/flagstaff that was raised on Mount Suribachi on February 23, 1945. There was some resentment from former Marines of the original 40-man patrol that went up Mount Suribachi including by those involved with the first flag-raising, that they did not receive the recognition they deserved. These included Staff Sgt. Lou Lowery, who took the first photos of the first flag flying over Mt. Suribachi; Charles W. Lindberg, who helped tie the first American flag to the first flagpole on Mount Suribachi (and who was, until his death in June 2007, one of the last living persons depicted in either flag-flying scene), who complained for several years that he helped to raise the flag and "was called a liar and everything else. It was terrible" (because of all the recognition and publicity over and directed to the replacement flag-raisers and that flag-raising); and Raymond Jacobs, photographed with the patrol commander around the base of the first flag flying over Mt. Suribachi, who complained until he died in 2008 that he was still not recognized by the Marine Corps by name as being the radioman in the photo.
The original Rosenthal photograph is currently in the possession of Roy H. Williams, who bought it from the estate of John Faber, the official historian for the National Press Photographers Association, who had received it from Rosenthal. Both flags (from the first and second flag-raisings) are now located in the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia.
Ira Hayes, following the war, was plagued with depression brought on by survivor guilt and became an alcoholic. His tragic life, and death in 1955 at the age of 32, were memorialized in the 1961 motion picture The Outsider, starring Tony Curtis as Hayes, and the folk song "The Ballad of Ira Hayes", written by Peter LaFarge and recorded by Johnny Cash in 1964. Bob Dylan later covered the song, as did Kinky Friedman. According to the song, after the war:
Then Ira started drinkin' hard Jail was often his home They'd let him raise the flag and lower it Like you'd throw a dog a bone! He died drunk early one mornin' Alone in the land he fought to save Two inches of water in a lonely ditch Was a grave for Ira Hayes.
Rene Gagnon, his wife, and his son visited Tokyo and Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima during the 20th anniversary of the battle of Iwo Jima in 1965. After the war, he worked at Delta Air Lines as a ticket agent, opened his own travel agency, and was a maintenance director of an apartment complex in Manchester, New Hampshire. He died while at work in 1979, age 54.
Tumblr media
Rosenthal's photograph has been reproduced in a number of other formats. It appeared on 3.5 million posters for the seventh war bond drive. It has also been reproduced with many unconventional media such as Lego bricks, butter, ice, Etch A Sketch and corn mazes.
The Iwo Jima flag-raising has been depicted in other films including 1949's Sands of Iwo Jima (in which the three surviving flag raisers make a cameo appearance at the end of the film) and 1961's The Outsider, a biography of Ira Hayes starring Tony Curtis.
In July 1945, the United States Postal Service released a postage stamp bearing the image. The U.S. issued another stamp in 1995 showing the flag-raising as part of its 10-stamp series marking the 50th anniversary of World War II. In 2005, the United States Mint released a commemorative silver dollar bearing the image.
A similar photograph was taken by Thomas E. Franklin of the Bergen Record in the immediate aftermath of the September 11 attacks. Officially known as Ground Zero Spirit, the photograph is perhaps better known as Raising the Flag at Ground Zero, and shows three firefighters raising a U.S. flag in the ruins of the World Trade Center shortly after 5 pm. Painter Jamie Wyeth also painted a related image entitled September 11th based on this scene. It illustrates rescue workers raising a flag at Ground Zero. Other iconic photographs frequently compared include V–J day in Times Square, Into the Jaws of Death, Raising a flag over the Reichstag, and the Raising of the Ink Flag.
The highly recognizable image is one of the most parodied photographs in history. Anti-war activists in the 1960s altered the flag to bear a peace symbol, as well as several anti-establishment artworks. Edward Kienholz's Portable War Memorial in 1968 depicted faceless Marines raising the flag on an outdoor picnic table in a typical American consumerist environment of the 1960s. It was parodied again during the Iran hostage crisis of 1979 to depict the flag being planted into Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini's behind. In the early 2000s, to represent gay pride, photographer Ed Freeman shot a photograph for the cover of an issue of Frontiers magazine, reenacting the scene with a rainbow flag instead of an American flag.Time magazine came under fire in 2008 after altering the image for use on its cover, replacing the American flag with a tree for an issue focused on global warming. The British Airlines Stewards and Stewardesses Association likewise came under criticism in 2010 for a poster depicting employees raising a flag marked "BASSA" at the edge of a runway.

Some planets
Description of some of the notable worlds surveyed by the Frontier vessel DSEV Soliton during its mission spinward along the Orion-Cygnus arm:
FEC 2953-CD5a: The only planetary-mass body orbiting a B-type star; possibly an abandoned superengineering project by an alien civilization. Remarkable only in that it is utterly unremarkable: the surface is extremely smooth and covered by a worldwide sea less than one meter deep, with virtually no variation in surface composition, albedo, or density of any kind. The atmosphere is entirely inert gases, mostly nitrogen and helium, with small amounts of various noble gases. No signs of life were found, and no tectonic activity.
The lack of cratering would suggest that the surface of CD5b is extremely young - Surveyor-Xenologist Kulnai has also posited some kind of alien asteroid defense mechanism, but no indication of alien technology was found on the surface or in orbit. However, Surveyor-Astronomer Harlon has also pointed out that no asteroid-mass objects orbit CD5b’s parent star except very close in, with the vast majority of orbiting mass consisting of a fine dust of minerals and ice particles, and that under such circumstances, the only possible impactors would be rare extrastellar objects. Surveyor-Planetologist Yun insists that there is no reason to think the planet is not simply a rare natural phenomenon, a remark which caused such controversy that Surveyors Tal and Uparan were forced to send Kulnai, Harlon, and Yun to their quarters and to forbid further discussion of the question except in private logs.
FEC 2968-R3He: A small, rocky world with a highly eccentric orbit, probably of extrastellar origin. A surface exploration drone indicated that beneath the shallow regolith, the planet is a single immense piece of diamond, possibly ejected from the core of a massive gas giant. On visiting the surface, Surveyor Yun sarcastically proposed to Surveyor Harlon, who surprised everyone by accepting; in consequence of the impending nuptials, the planet has been provisionally designated Harlon’s Engagement Ring.
FEC-2991-PHKc: A world with a dense atmosphere rich in hydrogen and methane. While PHKc has a diverse microbial biosphere, it also appears to be undergoing its own Great Oxygenation Event, with exposed iron deposits having recently reached a point of saturation that can no longer absorb the excess O2 generated by marine life. Oxygen blooms in the small, shallow seas trigger massive periodic fires that sweep over much of the planet, which will presumably continue until the hydrogen and methane in the atmosphere are depleted; the burning of hydrogen in particular will likely cause the seas to grow substantially, possibly creating a true planetwide ocean.
FEC-3030-59Jd II: 59Jd is a gas giant; its moon, 59Jd II, is a small, dry world kept very seismically active by the tidal stresses of its parent body. The lack of plate tectonics means that there are massive periodic energy releases that are capable of liquefying huge parts of the crust, resulting in intermittent lava seas that resurface huge portions of the landscape. When these seas form, unique extremophile organisms flourish, whose metabolism is based on unusual high-temperature chemistry; as the lava seas cool, they die off en masse, leaving behind deposits of crystalline sand, and retreat to subsurface magma pockets and isolated shield volcanoes to await the next great seismic event.
FEC-3042-373a: An almost tidally locked planet orbiting a red dwarf. The ratio of the orbital period to the revolutionary period is not quite 1, meaning that the day-night line on the surface processes slowly. 98% of the native biomass is found in this habitable zone, trapped between scorching temperatures on the day side and freezing temperatures on the night; as a consequence, almost every organism found on the planet during the survey was capable of some kind of locomotion, resulting in an entire biosphere that marches slowly across the planet, under the stormy skies where night meets day.
Of the sessile natives, most notable were the lightning-trees, adapted to draw down bursts of electricity from the clouds; their night forms withstand the freezing temperature of the nightside through a kind of hibernation; when trapped on the day side, their shoots bury themselves deep in the bedrock, waiting for the temperature to fall enough to sprout again.
FEC-3061-HJAy: The largest terrestrial planet among a veritable swarm around a massive O-type star. The ruins on the surface indicate it was once colonized by a now long-forgotten alien race, apparently obsessed with working out the complex motions and subtle perturbations of the other bodies in the system. Their entire mythology became based on this peculiar astrology, and though they were not native to this system (indeed, had no major colonies in it besides one observatory and its supporting structures), they were convinced that it was the influence of these planets and these alone that governed the courses of their lives.
FEC-3083-0C2c: A pulsar planet, formed in the aftermath of its parent star’s demise, in the manner of PSR B1257+12. 0C2c is low-mass and contains large internal voids that form a planetwide subterranean cavern system. Thus shielded from the worst of the pulsar’s scouring radiation, these caverns host an entire low-gravity radiotrophic biosphere, including an entire sentient civilization.
After careful study of the indigenous iconography, Surveyor-Xenologist Ellana advanced the tentative hypothesis that the sentient inhabitants of 0C2c were not aware of the existence of other stars, and only partly understood the nature of space and the existence of their own star. They seem to view 0C2c as a malevolent, infernal being, from which the personification of stone and darkness, a kind of Earth-mother figure, has protected them by enclosing them in its shell. Given the difficulty of communication, it was decided by the crew that the Soliton could not make productive first contact at this time, and the matter has been delegated to a joint-species Frontier committee for further review.
FEC-3112-HJAc: A terrestrial planet shattered by a massive impact, whose surface is now split by huge crevasses. The result is a planet divided starkly between vast, airless highlands, and impossibly deep, foggy valleys into which the remaining atmosphere has drained. Each is a biosphere completely sundered from the others by millions of years of evolution--each almost as alien to the others as to another world.
FEC-3126-96A: A rogue gas giant with five Earth-sized moons. One, 96A III, hosts the frozen remains of a civilization that arose there and colonized three of the other moons as well. The builders of these ruins did not die out, but in the countless millennia since their civilization fell, and the biospheres of their worlds drastically contracted, they have evolved to fit their new environment. Their distant descendants on each moon are distinct varieties of nonsentient deep-ocean dwellers who cluster around volcanic vents fed by tidal tectonic activity
FEC-3139-9JVd: An extremely rapidly rotating planet with days only a couple of hours long; because of the high speed of rotation, the surface is wracked by blisteringly fast winds. These winds are so intense that they whip the water up into a dense surface-level fog, with no clear distinction between land, air, and sea.
FEC-3150-CCQb: In most respects, an unremarkable terrestrial planet with a rich biosphere. Notable primarily for the life cycle of its one sentient species: like Earth’s cicada, they spend the majority of their life dormant beneath the soil, emerging every decade or two in great swarms, during which they marry and reproduce and feed in a frenzy of activity that lasts only a few months. As their population and their mastery of tool use has increased, each emergence has caused more and more environmental devastation, which has induced worry among their leaders and strife among different political factions. The politics of the world are further complicated by the fact that different broods have different periods of hibernation, and were not aware of one another (unless two swarms happened to coincide) until quite recently in the planet’s history.
The tacticle-electric system of communication used by the natives proved opaque, but standard first contact greeting protocols were exchanged. The inhabitants of CCQb seemed to be aware that alien life was a possibility, but have made no attempts to travel into space themselves.
FEC-3156-AHBc: Despite being located dozens of lightyears from CCQb, the Soliton was astonished to discover that AHBc hosted a biosphere chemically identical to CCQb, with a native population that was, to all external appearance, identical to the swarmers encountered already, albeit with a dramatically different life cycle and culture. The inhabitants of AHBc professed no knowledge of CCQb, nor of any interstellar visitors before the Soliton’s arrival. There is no indication either on CCQb or AHBc that the species found there--including the sentient ones--did not evolve in situ. After considering the problem for a number of weeks, Surveyor-Geneticist Tal was observed to throw up her hands in frustration, to exclaim several blistering oaths, and to lock herself in her quarters. Efforts to coax her out are ongoing.
FEC-3171-275d: A planet notable in that intelligent life has appeared on it not once, but twice. 275d has an extremely high average surface temperature, varying between about 40C at the poles and regularly reaching 70C at the equator. The current planetary civilization, derived from arboreal stock, has conducted extensive archeological and climatological investigations of 275d’s past, and believes that a mass extinction 25 million years ago was accompanied by a massive carbon spike, the result of an industrial civilization burning fossil fuels. Whether by foolhardiness or deliberate action, they did not slow their rate of fossil fuel consumption as the planet began to warm up; several positive feedback loops subsequently triggered, accelerating the temperature increase of the surface further, and leading to the establishment of a new equilibrium where the average surface temperature was about 25C warmer. The last enclaves of the previous civilization were found at the poles, and ceased to exist at around 12 degrees of warming; as this civilization left behind no durable records of its culture, history, or beliefs, little has been ascertained as to why no effort was made to avert this warming.
The subsequent rise to sentience of the current dominant species was made possible by the great environmental shifts triggered in the process, though, although their growth has been somewhat hampered by the lack of access to readily available high-energy fuels. The Soliton made a gift of fusion and solar-powered generators to the natives before departure.
Xenologist Bulan appends this note:
It is easy for the layperson to interpret the history of alien civilizations according to the patterns of our own, to read a clear environmentalist’s moral into the fate of the first inhabitants of 275d. I caution against this. Humanity has had close contact with four alien species now, and made passing first contact with over a dozen, and the one constant is that--even among civilizations closely aligned in values with our own--the alien mind is nonetheless alien, and often driven by motivations and goals which are absurd, self-defeating, or opaque to us. It is by no means safe to assume 275d owes its present condition to arrogance, stubborness, or foolishness: these human vices are predicated on having a humanlike mind. It is not conceivable that a civilization able to induce climate change of the scale we have seen we not understand the cause of such climate change. It is entirely plausible--indeed it seems to me likely--that the architects of 275d’s warming saw it (and their own subsequent extinction) as in some sense a necessary, valuable, or important outcome on its own. Why? Neither we nor 275d’s current inhabitants can know.

Hey everyone, could you please spread this for me?
It’s 90-103 degrees in my room every day, and I can’t be up there any longer. We have no ac, it’s sweltering and dangerously hot and has been for MONTHS, so I’m trying to raise the funds for an 18,000 BTU window unit
Please help me spread this, it’s horrible and none of us have anywhere to cool off (me, my husband, and my 75 year old in-laws) :c

Connie, Tammy and the Kids Last Days of Vacation…….Part 4
Now that Tina and the kids had left, things quieted down a bit.  I took a day to take Connie site seeing and shopping.  Our first stop was the Museum of Arts and Heritage.  It contains the actual house belonging to the founder of Harlingen, Lon C Hill.  Also their was the first Hospital of Harlingen and the Stage Coach Stop that was moved in from several miles out in the country.  Then on to the

who: @harlonvflowers where: horn hill, the reach
matters had not been entirely the same since the revelation; the day harlon flowers was revealed to be a bastard of highgarden, rather than one of horn hill. there was much cedric thought on his parents, on his father in particular; thoughts that he tended to suppress to the lower levels of his conscience - though he never would have considered his father to reject a son, even if he were a bastard. the late lord hector tyrell had always insisted that his sons would be fundamental in continuing their legacy; it would be them to ensue they were indeed, growing strong.
there was much cedric tyrell would cast upon his father; most of all being utterly forgotten in history, wiped from the records and lost to time. however the one thing he only grew to fully understand, and even develop, was the importance of family; the tyrells ran equally as warm blooded as they are ambitious. none would be more loyal than family; if treated right. perhaps it was a lesson the regent could have utilised much earlier in his life, instead of spending most of his early manhood on the road within the reach, attending the various households of their banners and doing anything to remain from the growing corruption within his family; suffocating like poison ivy itself.
Tumblr media
but there was more to ambition than to succeed; but to preserve. and it was preservation and protection that fuelled cedric; they need not be the richest in all the realms, not when their resource was renewable and would come every harvest; their fortune blessed by the gods themselves. and it was preservation cedric had in mind as he aimed his crossbow at the deer, harlon beside him deep within the woods around horn hill; before the snap of a twig sent the animal scampering. "do you not wish for all this to someday be yours?" he asked, his tone curious as he lowered his crossbow -  his mind was already made up, and yet he wished to see what exactly it was that stopped harlon flowers from taking an opportunity presented to him. "the world thinks you tarly; and the world knows the tarlys to own horn hill."

Who: @harlonvflowers Where: Barrowtown - The Reach Buildings
“Are we safe?” Lynora looked at Harlon, concerned etched into her soft features. “All that happened. There are monsters out there yet everyone is turning on one another more than ever. “Do you think the Lannisters really would have killed a pregnant woman had she not done as they asked? And the King... it was all so gruesome. How do we protect ourselves against all of this? Is it even possible?”

I HAVE A DATE FOR MY SURGERY. DECEMBER 24th, 2018
However, I'm 1700$ USD short for my top surgery in December. In order to cover that, my husband is using most of his next six paychecks to put into our savings.
And he chose to remind me of other debts I have to pay, as if I didn't have enough anxiety about funding to begin with. Which is fun.
Unfortunately that leaves us with 100$ a week for food and gas for his commute to indy and back. It's going to be impossible to really survive on that, so I'm trying to help him offset the cost. I have no family that can help with this, and I myself have no income :c I’m a full-time college student who took off this semester to prep for the surgery.
If you could share this, or donate, or both I'd really appreciate it :c

@harlonvflowers // @flohightower
bury it, cedric thought silently to himself as he paced the hallowed halls of highgarden; there were swords scattered across the stone floors, swords of the soldiers that had dropped their arms as the various lords of the reach, lead by cedric himself, operated a swift but bloodless coup. lord hightower and lord redwyne had been instrumental to the plot; the three had worked effortlessly to ensure the handover was as smooth as possible. cedric told himself he would not spend more of his energy thinking of the lifeless, dead eyes alaric tyrell had shot in his direction as their intentions were announced; nor would he think about the words the man he once called brother cursed at him as he was escorted from his throne in highgarden. the man would have more than enough time to consider his guilt and the consequences for his actions in the upcoming hours; for now, they were all on a time crunch.
pushing open the heavy oak doors to cross into the courtyard, where various servants seemed to watch, eyes wide as the king was escorted through the iron gates of the castle, cedric ignored them all as he half jogged his way over to the tower where he knew harlon would be kept. it had been weeks since he had last laid eyes on him; weeks since cedric had been able to ensure of his friend's safety, thank him for his loyalty, thank him for everything. and what of his wife? simply calling her by that word was enough to have him nearly pause in his tracks, his mind swimming as he did not know how to feel, about anything.
not now, cedric thought to himself as he ordered the guards stand aside in the name of the regent, though it seemed as though as the man began making his way up the spiral staircase, he heard the footsteps of people descending from whatever hell had occurred above. he saw the emergence of florence, who seemed to be struggling to prop harlon up against the wall, attempting to hold his full body weight. quietly moving her aside, his hand on the small of her back, cedric took over and helped ensure the man was able to reach the ground floor of the tower fine, seeing his first glimpse of sunlight in what must have felt like years.
"look at me." cedric directed, still holding the man up but letting him lean against the stone wall behind them, his hand on his shoulder. he was bruised, bloodied, purple and blue in some areas; and it was enough to make cedric feel as though he wanted to retch in that very moment. "i swore i'd come for you, did i not?" he asked, trying to ensure the man's morale and strength held up.
