There's so much potential! They could be a repentant member of the Imperium! A Volition member! A downtrodden citizen desperate to escape the hellscape of the moon and go to the Blue Promise! Seen a few posts today to the effect that it's very late to bring in a new character--and it's making me reflect on how one Taryon Gary Darrington only walked into Vox Machina's lives 85 episodes into a 115 episode stream (and only stuck around until ep. 99) and proceeded to steal the show regardless. If I trust anyone with this, it's Sam.

SHUT THE FUCK UP THERES IMODNA IN THE NEW INTRO

I’m devastated, really. We lost our Queen yesterday. We had someone die, someone who has lived for DECADES. This is basically a century of life, gone in an instant.

We didn’t deserve her. Decades of service, and she brought so much to US, the people. She was powerful, but she knew when to wield it. She could make us laugh. She could also make us cry— and I never knew I’d feel like this when she was gone, but here we are, I’m crying my heart out. Inconsolable.

We mustn’t forget that she was also caring. She was A MOTHER. And she had family, and as complicated as family can be, (I think we’ve seen how complicated her family is!), she still loved them and they loved her, and we should consider their pain as we also grieve. But her family was not just blood, it was also people she met on her journey. A found family, and we are among them in mourning.

Some people are saying that we should embrace change. That we don’t know what will happen in the coming weeks and we may feel differently soon. I say ignore them. Let us mourn. Let us process our feelings. And pay some DAMN RESPECT. I don’t want to see any memes. People are hurting. I am hurting. Don’t talk to me.
