I had been in the foster care system since I was six. Some of the families were amazing, but there were some bad ones too. I was now sixteen and being moved into a new foster home. I was anxious since I just had a pretty abusive family, but my case worker assured me that this family was amazing. We got out of the car and I took a deep breath as I clutched my bag to me tightly. 

“Don’t worry, Y/N, I promise you’ll like it here.” Bill said with a reassuring smile. I nodded as I took in the house. He led me up the step to the front door and knocked three times. It wasn’t long before the door opened and a boy, who looked to be about my age answered. 

“Hey Jesus, is Stef or Lena home?” Bill asked. 

“Moms! Bill’s here!” The boy shouted, making me flinch. Bill noticed and placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him and he gave me a gentle smile. The boy, Jesus, let us into the house and walked off to the back of the house. I looked around and smiled slightly. It was a very nice house, big, but nice. Everything was clean and decorated nicely, it felt… homely. I felt surprisingly safe. Two women walked out from the area that Jesus entered. One of them was a slender, caramel skinned, brown eyed woman with dark brown curly hair, and the other was also a slender woman with pale skin, blue eyes, and a blonde pixie cut. They both looked bery friendly and had caring eyes. I felt comfortable around them, which shocked me a bit. I wondered if it was because they were two women. 

“Bill, it’s so good to see you again.” The woman with curly hair said with a smile. 

“You too.” Bill smiled and gently pushed me a bit in front of him. I flinched slightly and looked up at him. 

“Lena, Stef, this is Y/N. Y/N this is Lena and Stef, you’re new foster parents.” He said, pointing out each one to me. They smiled at me and Lena kneeled down slightly to my level. 

“It’s nice to meet you, Y/N.” She said and I smiled slightly. 

“Bill’s told us a lot about you and we’re hoping we can make you comfortable around us.” Stef said and I clutched my bag slightly tighter. 

“Lena and Stef are great parents, Y/N.” Bill said and I looked back at him. 

“Do you promise this time?” I whispered and he knelt in front of me. 

“I promise, Y/N, you’re really gonna like it here.” He said and I took a deep breath. 

“Moms! Jesus is eating all the turkey!” A girl shouted from the room behind them. I flinched at the shouting and the two women noticed. 

“I’ll go take care of it.” Stef said and walked off. 

“Sorry, Y/N, there’s a lot of kids in the house so it can get loud sometimes.” Lena said with an apologetic smile. I nodded and glanced at Bill. 

“You can always put your headphones in.” He said and I looked over at Lena. 

“Yeah, of course.” She said with a smile. I smiled at her, letting go of my bag slightly. 

“Just as long as you’ll take them out if we need to talk to you.” She added and I nodded. Suddenly there were loud footsteps coming down the steps and I flinched again. 

“Hey Momma, I was wondering if- Oh, sorry.” A boy who looked slightly older than me said as he got off the last step. 

“Brandon, this is Y/N, she’s going to be staying with us. Y/N, this is our eldest son and Stef’s biological son, Brandon.” Lena introduced us. 

“Hey, nice to meet you.” He smiled and I gave him a small smile. 

“Would you mind showing her to her room? If that’s alright with you, Y/N?” She asked and I glanced at Bill once again. He gave me a reassuring nod and I looked back at the boy. 

“O-Okay.” I whispered. Lena smiled at me and Brandon nodded. 

“Sure, follow me.” He said and headed up the stairs again. I quietly followed him up and down a hallway. It was the third door on the right. He opened the door and it was a pretty basic room with neutral colors. 

“Moms will let you pick out some things for your room if you don’t like the colors. I’m sure they’ll even let you paint it if you want.” He said as he let me inside. I placed my bag on the bed and glanced round. 

“It’s nice.” I said quietly and he tilted his head at me slightly. 

“You’re not much of a talker, are you?” He asked and I blushed slightly. 

“Uh… I don’t really like new homes…” I whispered. Brandon smiled at me and nodded. 

“Yeah, Callie was kind of the same way when she got here… Well maybe she was the opposite, she kind of lashed out.” He said and my eyes widened. I instinctively wrapped my arms around my middle to try and hide myself a bit. Brandon noticed and his eyes widened a bit. 

“Oh, you don’t need to worry about her doing any of that now, she’s way calmer.” He said and I nervously smiled. 

“Hey B, I see you got Y/N settling in.” Stef came in with a smile. She looked at me and her smile faltered a bit as she noticed my body language. 

“Did something happen?” She asked, worriedly. 

“I was telling her about when Callie first got here and I think it kind of scared her a bit…” Brandon said and Stef took a deep breath. 

“Why don’t you go downstair and keep the other’s out of Momma’s hair while she’s talking with Bill.” She said to Brandon and he nodded. He left and it was just me and Stef. 

“Can I sit?” She asked and motioned to the bed. I nodded and she took a seat at the end. 

“Will you sit with me?” She asked. I hesitated for a moment, but sat next to her with a bit of space between us. 

“Listen, Y/N, I can promise you will be safe here. Our other kids will protect you from whatever and if anything does happen then you can come to Lena or myself and we’ll help and protect you.” She said and I bit my lip. 

“R-Really?” I whispered and she nodded. 

“We want you to be comfortable here.” She said and I smiled slightly. 

*Three Months Later* 

Staying at the Adams-Fosters house was a dream come true. Lena and Stef were amazing parents and my foster siblings were great too. However, I still couldn’t shake my past. The previous families that abused me plagued me in my nightmares and it made it hard to sleep most nights. Stef and Lena tried their best to help me, but nothing seemed to work. My siblings were growing irritated with my night terrors, but there really wasn’t much I could do. I tried my best, but the only thing that worked was to not sleep. I could only not sleep for so long before I pass out and the nightmares returned. 

I was sitting at the dining table doing homework with my headphones on as I tried to stay awake. I slightly heard the front door open and looked up to see Callie and Wyatt walking inside. Wyatt smiled at me and I returned it. I looked back down at my homework, but felt the floor vibrate near me. I looked up to see them sitting down with me and I took my headphones out. 

“Mind if we sit with you while we work on our project?” Callie asked and I shook my head. She smiled and turned to face Wyatt. They worked on their project and I worked on my homework. I could feel myself not being able to focus without my music. I was so tired and shook my head slightly to try and wake myself up a bit. 

“Y/N?” I turned my head to see Wyatt looking at me with concern. Callie wasn’t there anymore and I sent him a confused look. 

“Mariana took her for a bit. Are you okay?” He asked and I forced a smile. 

“Yeah… fine.” I whispered. I looked back down at my work, but felt a hand touch mine. I flinched and looked up to see Wyatt retecting his hand. 

“Sorry.” He said and I shook my head. 

“It’s okay, I just wasn’t expecting it.” I quietly said. He hesitantly placed his hand back on mine and I sent him a small smile. 

“You look tired, are you sure you’re okay?” He asked and I sighed. 

“I am tired…” I said and he looked concerned. 

“Why don’t you go take a nap or something?” He asked and I quickly shook my head. 

“Why not?” He asked and I bit my lip. 

“The nightmares are too real… they never stop.” I whispered and I frowned. I heard Callie coming back and quickly took my hand away from his. I went back to doing my homework and ignored Wyatt’s worried stares the rest of the time he was here. 

It was a week later that I saw Wyatt. He came over to work on the project with Callie again. I was sitting in the living room as they were working in the dining room. I was watching T.V., but noting was really registering. I was so tired I could hardly concentrate on anything. I didn’t even notice when someone sat down next to me, until a hand was waving in front of my face. I blinked a few time and looked over to see Wyatt looking at me with a worried expression. 

“Oh, hey, sorry I guess I spaced out.” I said, trying to cover up the truth. He shook his head and I furrowed my brow at him. 

“You don’t need to lie, Y/N.” He said and I tilted my head at him. 

“What?” I asked.

“I know you’re dead tired, it’s obvious. Your family even noticed.” He said and my eyes widened slightly. 

“Listen, I think I have something that could help.” He said and pulled out a box from behind him. He handed it to me and I looked down at the box confused. I opened it and found a black and orange dreamcatcher inside. I smiled slightly as I held it up. 

“I know Halloween is your favorite holiday, so I thought you’d like this the best.” He said and I smiled at him. 

“I don’t know if it’ll help, but thank you.” I said quietly. 

“Wanna go try it out? Callie and I finished the project and I’m staying for dinner.” He said and I blushed slightly. 

“Lena and Stef don’t like us having boys in our rooms.” I whispered. 

“We can keep the door open and I won’t even be in the bed with you.” He suggested. I blushed and looked down at the dreamcatcher. I kind of wanted to share a bed with Wyatt, but I didn’t want to break the rules and get in trouble. 

“If you don’t want to-” 

“No, we can try it…” I whispered. He smiled and got up. He offered me his hand and I took it with a small smile. We went up to my room and he hung the dreamcatcher above my bed for me. I smiled as I got into my bed. I felt my eyes almost instantly droop and he placed my blanket over me. I gently grabbed his hand and gently pulled. 

“Stay with me?” I whispered. 

“I wasn’t going to leave, Y/N, just sit in your chair over there.” He pointed at my desk chair. I shook my head and gently pulled him into the bed with me. 

“I don’t want you to get in trouble.” He said quietly. I closed my eyes and shook my head. I snuggled into his side and his arm wrapped around me. It didn’t take me long to fall asleep. 

*Wyatt’s POV* 

Y/N had fallen asleep in my arms and I smiled down at her slightly. She looked so peaceful and I gently moved some hair from her face. I saw a slight bit of drool falling from the corner of her mouth and chuckled. She was dead asleep and didn’t seem to be bothered. I hope the dreamcatcher was actually working and her nightmares wouldn’t bother her while she slept. Someone knocked on her door and I stiffened as my head shot up. Brandon was standing there with wide eyes. 

“Hey, uh, I know I’m not supposed to be in here, but Y/N asked me to stay and just kind of pulled me into the bed with her…” I said and Brandon just stared at us.

“I’ll just go-” 

“No! Don’t move.” He said and I looked at him confused. 

“What?” I asked. 

“How long has she been asleep?” He asked. 

“Uh, maybe thirty minutes?” I answered and he looked at me shocked. 

“She hasn’t slept for more than ten minutes without a nightmare.” He said and my eyes widned. 

“I got her a dreamcatcher to try and help and we were just testing it out…” I said and he smiled. 

“Just stay with her, I’ll come get you guys when dinner is done. Moms are gonna be so happy.” He said and rushed off. I looked down at Y/N and she snuggled into me with a smile. I smiled down at her and looked up at the dreamcatcher I got. I hope it continues to help her.

It wasn't odd to find Callie with a glass of wine in her hand. It was odd, however, to find her pouting and deep in thought with a glass of wine in her hand. You had slipped out of your room to grab a midnight snack when you had stumbled upon the brunette. Shoulders slumped, brows slightly furrowed, bottom lip puckered.

"You okay?" You asked, watching her slowly turn her head to look at you, movements semi sluggish. Probably tipsy.

"Happy as can be." She responded, voice going higher in pitch toward the end. Definitely not okay.

"You sure? You seem... down."

"Have you ever been broken up with but like.. not really at the same time?" Ah, there it was. Humming to yourself, you got some cereal and poured yourself a bowl.

"Can't say I have." You responded, getting the milk and sinking a spoon into the cereal. Sinking into her chair, she exhaled.

"Gael is seeing someone." She muttered.

"The artist upstairs? Wonder how long that'll last." Being a pretty boy, Gael had plenty of girls and guys coming and going. His most recent? The sad girl infront of you.

Snorting softly at your words, she pushed herself back up and took a sip of her wine. "I thought we had something special but.." Shrugging her shoulders and chuckling, she continued, "I'm tired of thinking. Let's just... make out, or something."

"You're not in the right state of mind for that, Callie. Where's Mariana?"

"Spending the night with her boyfriend." Callie replied bitterly.

"It’s okay to cry, you know." You reminded her, eating a spoonful of cereal and watching her drop her head onto the arm resting on the table. A soft whine escaped her.

"I'm tired of crying. I just want to feel good. I want someone to... to.. to care for me."

"I'm sure that someone will come around, Callie." You reached over and took the glass from her, setting it beside the sink and going around the table. Carefully pulling her up, you took the girl to her bedroom and let her fall onto one of the beds. Whether it was Marianas bed or not, she surely wouldn't mind.

"Night, Callie."

Later Hours

Callie Adams Foster x Male Reader

Request - where lost a bet to his girlfriend callie and has to handcuff someone. He has a sinister idea as to get payback for his friend dima for shooting a powder blaster on his face. The next morning he went to Dima's room and handcuff Oc (Dima) to him for 14 hours and 25 minutes.

Y/n finished taking a shower and he comes out of the bathroom. Dima approached Y/n and Dima has something behind his back.

“Hey, Y/n,” Dima said.

“What?” Y/n asked.

“Payback!” Dima yelled.

Dima shot a powder blaster onto Y/n’s face. Dima laughed and started to run away and Y/n started to yell.

“I’m going to kill you, Dima!!” Y/n yelled.

Dima and Y/n are best friends. They like to do pranks on each other. Callie came out of the bedroom and starts to laugh.

“Not funny, Callie Foster,” Y/n said.

He goes back inside the bathroom and starts to clean himself. Later, he comes out of the bathroom and told Callie what happened.

“Babe, calm down,” Callie said.

“I mean it, Callie I will get him back. I need to think of a plan” Y/n said.

She kissed his forehead and laughed.

“Boys are so dramatic,” Callie said.

“Sometimes. Do you still need a ride to work?” Y/n said.

“Yes, and hurry up and get dressed,” Callie said.

“So bossy, that's hot” Y/n smiled.

She smacked his arm.

“Hurry up, Y/n,” Callie said.

Y/n starts to get dressed while Callie starts to gather her stuff. They leave The Coterie together, he drives his girlfriend to work. She starts to talk about her job and co-workers.

It is late at night, and Callie and Y/n went to a bar. She had a stressful day at work and he starts to comfort her.

“Thanks, for listening babe,” Callie said.

“I know, next time you tell me and I will kick their ass. Oh, I know how to get my payback” Y/n said.

“Oh?” Callie said.

He nods.

“I will it be so epic and he will hate it” Y/n smiled.

“You, won't let this go, right?” Callie asked.

“Oh, I won't let it go until I get my revenge,” Y/n said.

“Whatever, you say Y/n,” Callie said.

She starts to drink her beer and he talks about the plan. They go home and Callie has on Y/n’s shirt and she cuddles with him.

Callie and the others are in the kitchen. Dima is standing next to Callie, while Y/n is trying to get close to him. Y/n is trying hard not to make it obvious what he is going to do. He takes out the handcuffs and put them on Dima. Everyone is speechless and Y/n just laughed.

“Bro, what did you do!?” Dima yelled.

“I got you. Now you're handcuffed to me” Y/n smiled.

“You can't be serious, Y/n,” Gael said.

“Oh, I'm very serious,” Y/n said.

Y/n threw the key out the window and Dima is freaking out. He grabbed the knife and tried to break the handcuffs, but it's not working. Y/n starts to yell at his friend to stop then he takes the knife away.

“But, why do it?” Callie asked.

“It's a dumb idea, Y/n. You throw away the key and you're still smiling, so weird” Mariana said.

“Feels like, I'm dating a child” Callie sighed.

“I told you about the idea,” Y/n said to Callie.

“And you didn't tell me, Callie!” Dima yelled.

“I thought he wasn't going to do it. I thought it was just talking” Callie said.

“Wow, Y/n. That's all I have to say” Davia said.

Everyone starts to talk at once.

Y/n is enjoying that Dima hates the prank. Everyone thinks the idea is dumb, but they are curious to see how it will go between Y/n and Dima.

“Wait you can't use the bathroom, bro,” Dima said.

“I can't hold it any longer,” Y/n said.

Dima is fighting Y/n not to go into the bathroom.

“Callie, tell your boyfriend to let me go!” Dima yelled.

She starts to laugh that she couldn't finish is her sentence. Y/n managed to go into the bathroom and Dima is using all his strength, not to go to the toilet.

“Somebody help!” Dima yelled.

“So dramatic,” Y/n said and rolled his eyes.

Throughout the day... It got hard to do simple tasks. Callie felt awkward kissing Y/n

“Y/n, I can't keep kissing you,” Callie said.

“Why?” Y/n asked.

Callie and Y/n are on the couch.

“Because Dima is right next to you! No offense” Callie said.

Dima raised his hand.

“Well... The key I threw out was the only key and it didn't have a backup key” Y/n said.

“Callie, I'm going to kill your boyfriend,” Dima said.

“I know a good lawyer,” Callie said.

“Hey!” Y/n said.

“Y/n, you better fix the problem or else,” Callie said.

“Or else?” Y/n asked.

She stood up and walked away.

“Or else!!” Callie yelled.

Y/n and Dima looked at each other. Y/n usually drives Callie to work, this time she had to sit in the backseat. Dima heated hated it because his hand would move all over the place while Y/n is driving.

“Pick you up later?” Y/n asked.

“No. I will get an Uber to drive me home” Callie said.

“Sorry, babe” Y/n said.

Dima mocked.

There is a party at the Coterie. Everyone is having fun, and Dima is starting to drink. He wanted to dance with a girl but it was awkward because Y/n tried not to get close to her.

“You are killing my style,” Dima said.

“Can't believe you guys are still stuck together” Gael said.

“He threw the only key out the window,” Dima said

“Seriously?” Gael asked.

“Have you tried anything to break the handcuffs?” Luca asked.

“We tried a few things but it didn't work,” Y/n said.

Y/n and Dima still partied and Dima is starting to get tipsy. Gael and Luca are having fun.

“I have an idea!” Luca smiled.

“What?” Y/n asked.

“Let's go to the police station, they have a key for the handcuffs,” Luca said.

“Great idea!” Dima smiled.

He hugged Luca. Callie tagged along Gael and told her about Luca’s idea. She is hoping they will have the key and she drives to the police station.

At the police station, it didn't go as planned. They have the key and Dima is being dramatic again.

“Why it has to be me!?” Dima cried out.

“Shut up. You are being such a baby” Y/n sighed.

“You shut up,” Dima said.

“No, you shut up,” Y/n said.

They go back and forth telling each other to shut up.

“You two shut up. Let's go to the fire station” Callie said.

“Why?” Gael asked.

“Maybe they can help. They should have the tools for it” Callie said.

“It's worth a shot,” Y/n said.

Callie drives to the fire station. One of the firefighters got the bolt cutter and she cut the handcuffs, and everyone starts to cheer. Y/n and Dima hugged the firefighter.

Callie is very happy the prank is over. Callie is making out with Y/n in the bedroom alone.

“Don’t ever do a prank like that again,” Callie said.

“It was funny seeing him being like that” Y/n smiled.

She rolled her eyes and he is still smiling.

“Whatever, Y/n,” Callie said.

He gave her a peck on the lips and she starts to smile.

In order to better reflect this, we have decided to switch how we define our popular pairing list, which determines which pairings are too popular to be posted on Rarepair Thursdays.

Previously, posts were added to the list when they had appeared on the blog over 20 times across its whole duration. Under the new system, we will look at the number of appearances in the 10,000 most recent posts, which reflects approximately the last 18 months of content. Any pairing with more than 10 posts in that time span will be added to the list, while older pairings which no longer receive so many posts will be removed.
