“ｃａｌｌｉｎｇ • ａｌｌ • ａｎｇｅｌｓ” is the name of my new collection, which will go live Sunday, May 31st.. just over two weeks’ time. • They are all dear to me, but this one especially so. • I always say that I’m “spiritual, not religious” - although I think whatever you’re into is groovy ✌🏽 as long as you’re nice about it. So, I don’t know that my idea of “ａｎｇｅｌｓ” fits the classical definition - but I use it to mean - divine beings / energies watching over us. Spirit guides, ancestors, whatever terminology feels right to you. Or simply connecting to the universe. Calling it / them close to us. • Having lost someone so dear to me, so recently.. I find myself in this frame of mind quite often. Wondering about the ones, right there, but so far away - just past the veil.. 🌓 • All of the crystals going into this collection are really intuitively chosen - a juicy 🌈 handful of #AngelAura of course, but beyond that - it’s a lot of stones that are just screaming at me to be used for this medicine / communication / energy. It breaks my heart everytime I hear this song. My imagination paints a clear picture of my mom crying in the car back in '04. She told me how this song would uplift her hopes while crying out to my spirit. "Don't Give Up. Don't Let Go. I've Got Your Soul Safely Tied To Mine. Be Still & Heal Knowing I've Got You."

I wish she didn't need to suffer through it. Any of it. But she's my greatest champion, advocate & friend. I'd be long since dead if she hadn't fought for me from the moment I was born on up til now.

So my first editor once told me (ten years ago), that if anyone ever writes to you personally from something you've written in a magazine, you can multiply that by a hundred. Because it means that a hundred other people wanted to (or thought about it) but only that person had the wherewithal to go through all the work it takes to reach your inbox. (Usually just remembering to open the magazine again to look up your name is too much for most people) And I have gotten quite a few over the years. #HumbleBrag But today a mother messaged me saying that she has a young gay son and she found one of my articles in A&U Magazine, and it gave her hope. Because with all the dark she has found during her research, I was a shining bit of light. It really is such a small thing to get a couple of nice sentences in your inbox about some bit of art you have done, but I am so grateful when I get them. The last few weeks I have been really hard on myself. And I really do need to make a change. But God always reminds me that I am constantly trying to do my part.
