Do you view Bella as having a distinct point of no return in regards to her descent into narcissism? Are there many decisions/events which lead to this or is it more about a single choice? Is that state of being an inevitability if she remains with Edward? (Sorry this is phrased horribly I just got off a LONG shift and brain is fried)

No, I don't even know if there is a full point of no return, what I'll say is that I think there are points where it's harder to let go than others.

Whaddaya Mean?!

In early Twilight, very early Twilight, Bella isn't attached to Edward at all. She finds him intriguing, yes, and is at first horrified she's offended him but there's a period where Edward chooses to ignore her for her own good and Bella, while upset, ignores him in turn. It's very clear that she's moving on from him (which is part of why Edward breaks down and starts talking to her).

At that point it'd be fairly easy, had circumstances allowed, for Bella to leave Edward behind and live a normal life. She'd likely still need a lot of therapy but we wouldn't see the desperation of canon.

Even in Twilight, had Edward proven to be something other than what she wished for, she would be deeply upset but would likely get by.

It was New Moon that made things hard. Bella suffered the effects of Edward dumping her, the complete collapse of her sense of self worth and her very person, and then is miraculously saved by Edward's reappearance in her life.

This is a Bella who has realized she's nothing without Edward and doesn't dare let him go. After New Moon, Bella will let Edward get away with nearly anything so long as he never leaves her.

Even then, though, is easier than Breaking Dawn.

After that point, there's no human life to go back to. Bella's broken off ties with her family, Jacob is tied to her only through Renesmee, the Cullens are everything she has and if any part of that falls apart she loses everything.

It's not impossible but after Breaking Dawn, Bella's going to try to cling to things with everything she has. This is supposed to be her perfect ending, and if it isn't, then what does she have? What's the point of anything?

Was it Inevitable Even with Edward?

Well, most of her other options are death...

I'd say it's not inevitable, even with Edward, but for her anything else would likely be misery. She'd be self aware enough to know that what she has here isn't happiness, and she herself wouldn't be happier for it.

18. do you believe in ghosts and/or aliens?

okay, so...I never know what to say about ghosts bc I find ghost stories and horror and everything morbid incredibly fascinating. saying that they don't exist, but ending up scared in a place considered haunted (as I think I would), would be disingenuous (?). so ig I believe in them.

I think aliens exist, since space is infinite, it makes sense that there can be other beings living far away from us. thinking that only human exist in such a vast place would be egotistical.

29. what do you do when you’re sad?

I bake (which I honestly do when I feel all kind of emotions), but i've been really baking almost everyday since february. I think about my crush (other thing that I do 24/7). if I can I go for a walk, maybe I spend money I shouldn't spend (on skincare, clothes, perfumes (I have a perfume addiction at this point)). I rewatch all the instagram reels I saved on a special folder called "sad hours". and if my sadness is linked to love problems I rewatch pride and prejudice. rewatching comfort stuff is so essential at this point of my life.

sorry for the super long answers, at this point my brain is hard-wired to give long ass speeches in english bc I have to be as articulate as I can in class bc I'm at the highest level, so idk when I should shut up. and if I feel comfortable with a person I'm I'm yapper, so yeah...

Once that's done that's all the club requires, if you want to continue your conversation you're free to, if not then don't. Next month you'll be given a new partner to send a letter to, and repeat.

Content:

Whatever the hell you want, transcribe your hinge profile, write a poem, talk about your job, draw a picture, send a pressed flower, describe your first experience being queer. go wild

Why?

Because it's nice to receive a letter in the post. because it's exciting to connect with new queer people. to connect with people you might otherwise never meet. because it's fun!

cemetarything | James Loveless - If you somehow don't already, follow him. First off, best taste in reblogs you'll ever find. Secondly, an extremely eloquent and funny person. You DO have to be cool with talking about cannibalism.

ELODIEUNDERGLASS - Just a lot of really good (and often funny) personal writing, and good reblogs of writing/art. Like all these Prose recs, I think they are less 'blogs you Consult when making a webweave' and more 'people you follow and occasionally notice & save a Good Tidbit from'.
