And it's part of the reason she gets (most likely) Glitchtrapped in the first place!!!

(I know that we believe differently when it comes to who we play as in HW2 and that's good! I like to see different opinions play out. I'm not going to unfollow you just because we have a different opinion because you're that good of an artist and I love your comics. Period.)

if you struggle with mental health, one piece of advice i would genuinely give you is learn to knit.

or crochet: something repetitive to do with your hands, assuming you're capable of it. if you're like me and learnt to knit as a kid but let it lie fallow for a long time, it may be that starting a large, simple project (for me it was a cloak, but a blanket could work too) gets you back into it. or maybe doing something smaller, idk. i personally found socks really hard for a while because they felt smaller than my cloak but weren't getting Done quick enough for me. as i've sped up i find it more interesting to knit socks.

regardless, a repetitive task is great for emotional regulation (also see: autistic stimming), and something that you can look at and go hey i've done something, unlike simply using a fidget toy, can also help to pick your mood up when the brain is being cruel.

it's also useful as a conversation starter or distracter if you don't know what to talk about. if you're wanting to talk to older people also you're more likely to reel them in with knitting (i work better with older people, and 99% of people who ask what i'm knitting are older than me). it also gives you the opportunity to not make eye contact because you're busy knitting, even if you're still carrying on a conversation. if you're absolutely stuck for conversation you can count your stitches and people might stop bothering you.

if you have trouble focusing without doing something with your hands, you can knit! i knit a lot in church, and it helps me to focus on what's being said.

i probably have more reasons you should pick up knitting, but i can't recall them right now, so yeah.

and secondly: a fact about me which i believe i have 100% stated before online, the nutcracker is my FAVORITE ballet!!!! so heres Rook as the nutcracker, there WAS supposed to be a clara Vil to accompany him but the fates didnt allow it (i wasnt liking the sketches i was making 😞) so perhaps in the future i shall reunite them but for now take him <3

Love for the grand padawan! I absolutely wish there was more Obi-Wan and Ahsoka content in the sense of how Obi-Wan was also a large influence with her. Them teaming up against Anakin for spars, Obi-Wan helping with her studies, Ahsoka helping Obi-Wan be a bit more like a kid again, just good healthy family bonding.

As someone from a large family, the Jedi and the whole disaster lineage means a lot to me. And I couldn’t have this blog and not include how Obi-Wan cared for Ahsoka as well, in such an important way.

long goodbye turns one year today!!

Ten years ago… wasn’t exactly the start of my art journey, but it was that day, Goodra Day, I decided to hunker down and start drawing something every day. Every little drawing would be a baby step towards reaching my dream of being able to make the various ideas swirling around in my head into something visual.

So this new Goodra drawing probably isn’t the best indicator of my growth as an artist and what I’m able to accomplish now. But it is an indicator of growth and improvement.

Thanks to all who have supported me over the years, who have stuck with me through my ups and downs. I’m glad I stuck with it for this long.
