Alder is crafted to end up in other worlds/verses, however you count it as a crossover. As part of his entire plot of building up power and connecting realms with his own influence for the end result of his awakening. Of course he works the best and I can have the most fun with him in fantasy verses where magic is real and showing off the basics of his powers won’t cause someone to pass out.

A first meeting wouldn’t be too difficult. Alder is drawn towards magical oddities and is a big traveler. Abandoned buildings and haunted locales are cool beans for this dude. Aka anywhere a ghost may end up.

Alder is morally dubious as fuck. As sinister and not cool as his endgame is he’s not really of the perspective of trying to rule over any individual realm or people anymore. He’s simply existing and going about his long game. So in the meantime? He’s learning a lot. And while there’s possibility of him learning humility and gaining some empathy and putting the plot on hold, that’s a long shot.

I see him being a teacher or mentor figure in the sense El is probably curious as hell about him (he’s a weird person energy wise to be around for those sensitive) and what he knows. Who knows what a ghost will do with otherworldly horticulture knowledge...

Moss is abundant in Oregon.

The fact I even know about this creature shocks me, because so far, it’s the rarest one I’ve encountered. Not the most powerful or dangerous, no, but the rarest. This creature is named Caonach, it’s the first cryptid to name itself. Imagine if bigfoot was made of stone, and covered head to toe in thick moss, that’s the form this creature takes. The Caonach is depicted as this horrifying creature of the wilderness, but in fact, it’s just curious. It has a history of chasing campers, simply because it was interested in what they were doing. I’m unsure of the Caonach’s diet, if it even eats. But I do know that it has the ability of speech. I sat down with this cryptid for two hours, just discussing with it. From what he told me, there are only so many of his kind left, less than a hundred. The Caonach is old, older than most of Oregon’s forests, but wise. It knows more about the forest than I could ever dream to. I hope I stumble across it again some day.

A good way to think about Alder is a celestial being slapped inside of a mortal shell that’s on a drip feed from a magical lifeline as big as the cosmos itself. Alder Caonach is a ‘temporary’ stage to him, even if temporary is as long as thousands of years. Sexual encounters, as a result, would be considered part of this ‘temporary’ body and carried out with the ‘shell’. Alder is aromantic and asexual in the sense he does not include either of those pursuits in his goals.

But he’s also bored, so its not a repulsion. These acts can be done to ‘pass the time’ or ‘fit in’ so to speak. But he’s internally reluctant and there’s not much he’s getting out of it aside from playing a part for the evening. Or murdering/being murdered? That’s happened before. And proved to be a small curious thrill.

So anyway, the question, as for what kinks he’d participate in... is it fair to say he’d do pretty much anything? There’s not going to be anything in particular he likes. Inflicting pain isn’t particularly enjoyable. While potentially violent his wrath is entirely retaliatory after all. Rigging, I’d say, would be something he can get into. And denial. Things that involve wordplay would have the most appeal.
