My turn to be skk-posting

in my ideal vision, when they finally get in something resembling a relationship (as adults, they were Not There as teenagers), it's because they both want it, which means they unlock previously forbidden features with each other like sharing a bed instead of a couch (you all know about my weird obsession with skk and couches), but also freely touching.

Dazai is a rather tactile person; my guy is freed after 2 weeks in prison and the first thing he does is dance, poke at, lean/hug and play with the hair of the first non-evil person (a stranger) he meets. Being with Chuuya, he constantly finds himself in Chuuya's bubble, and indulges in ways he usually can't with others. That often means direct skin contact, not even with ulterior motives, but really just because he is allowed and he wants to.

Chuuya on the other hand has never done something gently ever: he is fierce, he cares and loves intensely, and he never lets go, but he barely knows the concept of a reassuring gesture (working on it). Dazai being in his bubble wouldn't bother him at all by that point, but the handsy part? it's awkward. needs some getting used to. It's a learning opportunity.

And when Chuuya gets used to it and finally makes a move to return the favour? it's Dazai who short-circuits.

Has Ben's habit of casual flirting caused any problems for him or the team?

Probably not as much as his casual flexing with Omnitrix tbh xD Which is basically flirting for this guy!

Though admittingly HoM Ben is not as flirty as it might seem at first. As he grew up, it became, as you said, a habit - more of a part of his heroic/public persona that he developed after becoming a hero celebrity across the (alien part of) universe.

It tends to make people (especially those who know him by his reputation first) feel easier around him and/or underestimate him if he is just some silly guy who flirts. (I mean he is silly guy who casually flirts, but he is also just a dude and so much more, as we all know.)

There were a few instances when it brought trouble, but also sometimes it helped them out too. But, let's just say that HoMies tend to look out for Ben not to say something unfortunate whenever he tends to be too friendly.

Actually there is another casual flirter in their friend group that brings almost as much trouble as Ben - it's Jake! Some of his casually flirty/overly friendly behaviour can be attributed to him becoming an American Dragon in his early teens (he really enjoyed his newfound cool dragon powers and popularity amongst magical folk), and some of it is just his personality (his behaviour was incredibly cringy at times when he was younger, but as he matured, it changed into something a little bit more charming).

When those two are on a mission together, others have to work overtime to keep an eye on them.

Which is ironic, because I 100% headcanon almost all of the HoMies masters of accidental rizz: they make people like them just by being themselves lol.

I know the decision to have Julian's parents have him augmented was made on the fly but imo its pretty obvious from early on that Julian has Family Issues because he avoids talking about his family like the plague and I think they should've incorporated this into the Julian and Sisko dynamic right from early on because I think it would've made for some really compelling stories and moments and could've set up a REALLY interesting Julian and Jake dynamic which they kinda started to do but never fully went for

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Mike and El's relationship is sweet but they were only the "main couple" "most popular ship" of season 1 because there were NO. OTHER. SHIPS. St@ncy was obviously just a conflict for J@ncy and were together before we met them and everyone else with buildup wasn't together yet. "They're the main!" Yeah bestie when there are no other options. Not that in future seasons they can't be a beloved 2nd place for many, but what I'm saying is there was no point of comparison. For the audience and...

For Mike. For our local gay mf Mike. We both thought this was romance. We thought this was flirting, in love.

But only because we didn't know he COULD look at someone softer than that. (Mind you, this is the singular most romantic moment they have and the only non-platonic/heteronormative dependent buildup they have before they start almost kissing or kissing).

We didn't know Mike could feel more so we though this was them conveying Mike in love to us. But then we saw and he felt: this

At the very least, what I'm saying is that Mike and El are platonic. Because he has never looked at her more strongly than he's looked at Will. (But we both know what I'm actually saying is that Will's is stronger).
