Issue 64 highlights:
*immediately drops everything to comfort him*
Sonic sees it too
Silver regaining his sass; one of the few people to make Blaze let out a laugh
JOKING AND TOUCHING
A JOURNEY OF SELF-DISCOVERY WITH THE BAE clearly setting up a side-story starring Blaze and Silver unlocking their memories of Sonic 06, of course (jk i wish)
My guess is this date trip is meant to keep Silver and Blaze busy while the comic focuses on other things. Then whenever they return, they'll be much closer.

What happened to Yuu in the current update?
Hello!
So, the scene went like this:
Silver realizes he's the Knight's biological son -> darkness starts to surround him -> Sebek tells Lilia and Baul to keep on running away with the egg, it his our duty to help Silver as we're his friends
Basically, while Silver is busy going through Lilia's memories of Silver's childhood, the Ramshackle duo stays and walks through the darkness with Sebek to help get Silver back.
extra spoilers since I did not add the end of the update to my [long post]:
Sebek gets his moment to shine at the end of the update. We get his Unique Magic reveal (which he still has trouble controlling) and a battle against Silver (which Sebek loses).
Silver asks if Sebek took the last hit on purpose and Sebek loses it. He's angry at Silver for suggesting he let himself lose since he was fighting with all his might, and yet it never seems to be enough against Silver.
Sebek delivers a heartfelt speech telling Silver to stop being an idiot. He's strong enough to always win their fights because he was loved by Lilia. If Silver was nothing but the "son of an enemy" to Lilia, he would've been treated poorly and grown up to be a fool and a coward instead of being raised into such a strong man.
Silver's strength comes from Lilia's love, and to keep on denying the certainty of that love is to mock Lilia himself, so stop looking down on his master (Sebek cries and falls to the floor after saying this)
And that's how Silver finally accepts that the voice that told him not to give up must have been truly Lilia, and that he's been loved all along. He decides to make his dream of becoming a knight come true and end this nightmare to bring back their smiles.
Silver's ring shines and we're finally out of the darkness. We see an image of the Knight of Dawn in the clouds, he smiles at Silver and dissappears. We're then taken back to the area near the castle, Henrik's troops are still going after the egg, so Silver says we have to go protect Lilia and Malleus. End of update.
(just to make it clear: Yuu and Grim are witnessing all of this on the side 😭)

Crepus definitely taught young Diluc and Kaeya to show care and respect towards animals. I like to think he fed strays and sheltered them when it was particularly cold or rainy. I don't think he'd go out of his way to track down every stray animal and check up on them regularly (like Thoma) but would extend his caring hand if a situation requiring it occurred.
Diluc and Kaeya both grew up taking those values on board. They'd find lost or injured animals in the forest while playing and would scoop them up and run back to the mansion quickly to tend to them. They rarely ever kept them for longer than they strictly needed to stay there (the maids had enough work with two little knights-in-training). Strays would be rehomed to people they knew and wild animals would be treated and returned to their natural habitats, even if it did sometimes make the boys sad to see them go.
I think they exercise this learned value. They both love animals!
Diluc developed a fascination for birds in his teenage years, and only cultivated it further over his travels, realising just how useful a bird of prey really is. He takes special care of any and all birds he finds, and has even constructed an aviary for the ones that can't be returned to their original homes.
Kaeya has taken to the smaller mammals, like cats and dogs. He believes they possess an intelligence far superior to most humans, able to read people's natures and intentions. He's taken quite a lot of animals into his home over the years, and, more often than not, they come back, so he ends up sleeping with a bunch of cats and dogs curled up around him.
At the end of the day, no matter what the animal, they all seem to have a natural affinity for both Diluc and Kaeya, and they naturally just have to give them the love, care and fuss they deserve.
