Cecilias, and the Anemo Archon
The Anemo Archon’s favourite flower is the Cecilia.
The flower that only grows on Starsnatch Cliff, where harsh winds blow. It stands firm against the harsh sea winds, a fragile flower standing alone, stubbornly defying the odds.
His favourite flower is not the Windwheel Aster, that grows only where gentle breezes sway, a testament to His gentleness. His favourite flower is not the Dandelion, whose seeds are carried by the wind and scattered by His nuturing breeze, a testament to the freedom of his land.
His favourite flower is the Cecilia, the flower that grows in staunch rebellion to the biting winds of the cliff overlooking the sea. A symbol of resistance, a lonely flower, a consistent, resilient one.
The Anemo Archon’s least favourite flower is the Cecilia, the one with delicate petals and a pristine white colour and a taste of bittersweet memories.
His favourite flower tastes like revolution, the symbol of a resistance as old as him. His favourite flower smells of metal and wood and dirty peasants who do not have enough to survive. His favourite flower still yearns for the biting gales of the stormy tower, where it was the only flower capable of blooming in the bitter, stormy city.
Someday, perhaps, He’ll be able to look at the petals and not see rebellion, red-hot and desperate. Someday, perhaps, He’ll be able to look at it and see more than ruined petals, crushed and stained crimson under a pile of rubble from the tyrant’s tower.
