you are in love | cedric diggory x fem!reader (part 1)
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
Cedric was content with what he had. He was prefect, quidditch captain and the unspoken partner of yours. He wouldn't want to risk a thing with you because everything is so good as it is. But when other students are thrown into the equation, at the end of the day, is he truly yours?
warnings: two dummies in love, reader is a Gryffindor
word count: 2.5k
a/n: This is my first fic published so I'm nervous!! But I'm going to try to make multiple parts for this one because it was just getting too long and I have so many ideas for Cedric (bc we were robbed!) Also not proofread! ₊˚⊹♡
Tumblr media
Fred pushed the list of self made “Prettiest Girls at Hogwarts” in the new first years’ faces. The tiny moving portraits of the Hogwarts girls looked a little silly in the first years’ minds but the twins insisted that pictures solidify their case.
“These are who you lot should be aiming for,” he stated with confidence, utterly prideful of the list, “aside from y/n of course, she’s off limits.”
“Off limits? She said she didn’t have a boyfriend while she toured us though?” a small first year girl chirped. The twins exchanged a knowing look before chuckling slowly.
“The beautiful Gryffindor prefect, my little unknowing friends, is off limits because ah, right on time as usual” George dramatically cocked his head in your direction.
You had been eating your breakfast alone quite peacefully when you felt someone in yellow dawned robes slip into the open seat beside you.
“Cedric Diggory, Hufflepuff prefect, quidditch seeker-“
“And captain” George sang.
“And just all around dream boy. All the girls think he’s bloody fit.” Fred concluded.
“He has kind of an unspoken dibs on y/n. Has had one since last year when they became prefects. No one has even tried to make any advances on her cause of it.”
“Why’s that?” the first years were now all huddled close to the twins, listening with intense interest.
Fred rolled his eyes, “because look at the bloke!” A couple of students from neighbouring tables looked curiously in the direction of the loud proclamation. Looking around he leaned in closer to whisper, “Rumour has it he’s planning to put his name in for the Triwizard Tournament this year too. He’s as fit they come!”
“Not to mention he’s so bloody nice that you can’t even hate the bloke for being so perfect.” George finished as the rest of the table nodded along, absorbing the precious information.
“He’s not perfect you know.” Everyone whipped their head to see Hermione chiming in, not even looking up from her books.
“If he was the dream boy you all say he is, they would’ve been together by now. Personally, I think he’s too comfortable for his own good.”
“What’d you mean by that Hermione?” Fred asked.
She shut her book with a thud and sighed, “Yes he’s attractive in all ways, but how long do you reckon he’s going to keep stringing her along like that? He’s been flirting with her for as long as he’s known her but won’t do anything about it. It’s sad really.”
The twins paused while exchanging confused looks, not understanding what was so sad about the two perfect prefects’ relationship.
“Ugh, boys!” Hermione, exasperated, gave up and opened the thick novel to continue her literature.
It’s not like Cedric didn’t like you. He liked everything about you, but Hermione was right, he was comfortable with how things were. He wasn’t cocky, not in the slightest, but he was always far from worried when it came to you and other guys at the school. Everyone knew about you two, so he’s never been challenged for your attention. He in all honesty, guiltily enjoyed the lack of complication that the two of you had when it came to your relationship status. There wouldn’t be anything to lose if he didn’t start anything, so he stayed in his comfort with you.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
“Morning y/n!” Cedric’s presence instantly made you feel relaxed and warm.
“It’s such a pleasure seeing you here at my house’s table this morning Diggory.” you teased. It wasn’t completely unnatural for Cedric to join you at the Gryffindor table, but he usually felt that as a prefect, sitting at his own house table was almost a requirement.
“I came bearing quite honourable and exciting news y/n,” he was beaming, so excited that it seemed like he was going to jump out of his seat, “I’ve decided to do it this year. I’ve officially made up my mind that I’m going to throw my name out for the Triwizard Tournament.”
He was ecstatic, to say the least, and it was difficult for you to match his energy as you had just heard the worst news you could’ve expected from him. The Tournament has had students die while participating, so it wasn’t surprising that you didn’t want the boy you cared so much about to have a chance at it.
He caught onto your uncertainty fairly quickly; you were obviously smiling but it didn’t reach your eyes. He let out a breath and carefully reached for your hand.
“I know that you may feel hesitant about it but believe me, I know the risks but there is so much for me to gain from this experience. So please trust in me y/n.” his pleading eyes were too difficult to resist.
“I do, I do trust you Cedric,” you mustered as much support as you could in that moment, “the Goblet would be stupid not to choose such a fine competitor.” Your words seemed to satisfy Cedric as he jumped out of his seat, gave you a quick kiss atop of your head and sped off to the Hufflepuff common rooms.
He had made his mind up and the only thing you could possibly do was to try to hex that stupid over-gloried cup in your mind as you prayed to Dumbledore for Cedric’s name not to be pulled.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
The news that students from other schools were coming to Hogwarts excited the masses. It wasn’t every day they got to see such new faces. Especially faces as attractive as the Beauxbaton and Durmstrang students.
Everyone was bursting with excitement in the Great Hall, awaiting anxiously for the foreign students to arrive. You on the other hand were busy glancing at Cedric who was chatting happily with his housemates.
“You’re staring you know.” Hermione’s deadpan voice made your head turn to face her, your eyes lingering just a second longer on the Hufflepuff table.
“Honestly y/n, we have some of the greatest wizarding students coming in for a tournament that only happens every five years and your focus is on Diggory? Merlin y/n if anything, focus on the OWLs instead.” Hermione wasn’t annoyed, but instead truly baffled as to how you could easily ignore such a large celebration for one boy.
You held up your hands in defense, but before you could retort, Dumbledore had already started introducing the new guests.
The vision of blue overwhelmed your senses and you were stunned for a second, only being snapped back to reality by the hollering of the surrounding boys. You shifted in your seat in an attempt to see Cedric’s reaction to the Beauxbaton girls, but the rowdiness of the male students blocked your vision. Sinking back in your seat pouting, you wondered if Cedric was enjoying this as much as the other boys were. I mean, Ron was practically drooling. You didn’t have much time to sulk over the issue as you got simultaneously shoved on both sides by Hermione and Ginny. You craned your neck to see what was causing this female commotion.
“Oh Merlin y/n, it’s Viktor Krum! And he’s even better up close!” Ginny whispered excitedly. You stared at the older boy not really impressed but you giggled with Ginny nonetheless, feeling left out of the Viktor-Krum-is-so-handsome festivities that were happening at the table.
From across the grand path of new students, Cedric stared at you as you giggled and whispered with Ginny. Following your line of sight, his eyes were met with the stiff, soldier-like, famous Viktor Krum. Groaning, he hung his head in his hands as the noises of the Great Hall faded in his ears. He was beginning to think, maybe he was, in fact too cocky when it came to you.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
Your friends were whispering excitedly in the courtyard when you had joined them.
“What’s got you lot so excited?” you asked while squeezing to sit between Hermione and Ginny on the ledge.
“Viktor Krum! What else?” Ginny chirped excitedly. Just at the mention of his name, the other girls squealed in pure bliss. You observed your young friends’ excitement happily. You hadn’t had much time to observe the new Hogwarts guests, as the reality of Cedric putting his name into the goblet this year became more and more clear to you. A warm hand delicately tapped your shoulder from behind you, breaking you from your worries temporarily, and you looked up and behind to see Cedric standing behind you while giving you his most infamous, heart-stopping smile.
“Ladies” he nodded to the group of girls in acknowledgement before bringing his full attention to you. Content, you leaned your head back into his chest as you looked up at the boy who seemed to be radiating sunshine.
“Cedric! What are you doing here?” you were beaming. He looked like honey. You couldn’t really describe it, but he was just so warm and so sweet. Beautiful really.  Especially in the courtyard sun.
“I thought you could perhaps lend me your potions books for today?” he grinned lopsidedly at you as you sighed and pulled out the heavy book. How could you ever say no to this boy?
“You’re the champion of my heart y/n, you know that?” you laughed when he clutched his heart with his free arm. Your heart bubbled with warmth. You let yourself bask in the feeling only for a moment when Ginny moved to head back to the common rooms first. Feeling rather amorous, you told her you would meet her back there soon. You wanted to share your bubbly feelings with someone and Ginny always loved listening to it.
“Not just your heart Diggory.” Hermione teased quietly seeing that you were distracted with Ginny for a moment. She gestured Cedric towards a pair of Durmstrang students. One in particular seemed to be taking quite an interest in you. As the Durmstrang boy kept glancing at you, Cedric’s hand on your shoulder unconsciously became a little stiffer and he pulled you a little closer.
Cedric then bent down to reach your ear and whispered lowly, “I really do appreciate it y/n. You’re not only the champion of my heart but also the one who holds my mind, body and soul in all completion.” The cheesiness of his words had you giggling. You knew he didn’t truly mean what he was saying, but the light tinge of pink on your cheeks was evident.
Stretching back up to stand Cedric held his gaze on the Durmstrang boy, feeling rather confident and accomplished as he watched the boy’s friend pat him on the back consolingly as they walked away.
“Oh, Merlin! I forgot that I told Ginny I’d meet her in the common room!” you frantically gathered your things and hollered rushed goodbyes. “Don’t forget to return my potions book Cedric!” you reminded and he chuckled lightly to himself in response.
As your sporadic figure grew smaller in the distance, Hermione turned to face Cedric. “You know Diggory, every guy at Hogwarts may know of your guys’ relationship, but the ones at Durmstrang don’t.” Hermione stated matter-of-factly, making Cedric’s grin falter.
“What’s that supposed to mean Granger?” Frustrated, Hermione groaned, “It means that although the boys at Hogwarts don’t fancy y/n, that doesn’t mean that the boys at Durmstrang won’t. You can’t pull that kind of stunt again with every Durmstrang boy she comes in contact with. Godric, boys are so dim sometimes!” she huffed as she turned on her heel to leave.
Cedric rubbed the back of his neck, feeling quite sheepish for being caught in his rather childish act. Hermione was right though, he wouldn’t be able to keep every single guy away from you. So what was he supposed to do?
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
The night of the choosing of names came all too fast for you. You knew he put in his name. You knew he really wanted this. And for some reason, you felt like you knew he would be picked. This weighed heavily on your mind and you honestly could not for the life of you, pay attention to who the other two victors were.
The paper flew out and Dumbledore caught it. The dread in your stomach increased to a nauseating level, the chatter of the students ringing in your ears and then the room went quiet. It wasn’t actually quiet but suddenly you weren’t able to hear the cheers of your peers as you watched the boy you yearned for so dearly, walk through the aisles in celebratory fashion. Your head started spinning, how many students had entered their names? What were the odds? How was it possible that the one student, the one student that you couldn’t risk being out in that tournament, had gotten picked?
Cedric was on top of the world at that moment. He wasn’t too interested in becoming legendary or glorified through the Tournament but was simply elated to bring pride to the Hufflepuff House. He would be lying though, if he said that he would gladly take on the glory if it meant you would see him as such. Thinking of you, he searched quickly for your head in the crowd. When he finally spotted you, his grin widened but as he saw your fallen and disconnected expression he grew concerned and tried to move his way through the crowd to your spot. Unfortunately, it was a lost cause as the Goblet erupted once more and the wave of confused students swept Cedric further away from you.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
“Krum’s got a yes!” Cedric turned his attention away from his house tablemates to the rowdy group of Durmstrang boys that were chirping excitedly.
“Who’s the lucky woman Viktor? I mean half of this school wants to be your date to the Yule Ball! You have to tell us who you ended up asking!” the boys leaned in eager to hear more about Viktor’s proposal.
“Who else, I asked the pretty Gryffindor I said I would ask.” he replied shortly, seemingly unamused by his friends.
“Bloody hell, he’s asked y/n!” Cedric whipped his head around to the first-year Hufflepuff who had also turned to listen in. Cedric’s facial expression dropped.
Glancing at Cedric nervously one of the older Hufflepuffs questioned the girl, “How in Merlin’s Beard would know that? Krum didn’t even say that he had asked y/n.”
“It’s obvious!” she smiled as she hurriedly reached into her pocket and fished out a piece of paper.
“Prettiest…Girls…At…Hogwarts” one of the Hufflepuffs read aloud slowly. Unbeknownst to you, the twins have not only been solidifying their list with the Gryffindor first years, but ALL the first years.
“Look!” she pointed to your tiny moving portrait on the paper.
“It says right there: y/n, 6th year, Gryffindor. If Viktor Krum had been talking about a pretty Gryffindor, it had had to be her. She’s a prefect, he would absolutely go for her!” the tiny girl smiled proudly at her findings as if she had cracked a hard case.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
Sitting alone in the Hufflepuff common room, Cedric was deep in thought.
Had Viktor Krum really asked you to the ball? Had you really said yes? He knew he hadn’t asked you at all but he had assumed it was only natural that the two of you would’ve gone together. Right..?
The more he questioned you and himself the more miserable he became.

summary: In an AU where Cedric survives the Triwizard tournament, but has trauma from it, y/n has to help him through a panic attack caused by his claustrophobia.
a/n: mentions what happened to Cedric in the maze in detail, mentions claustrophobia, and implied panic attack
Tumblr media
Cedric would never be the same after the Triwizard Tournament.
Not everything had changed. He was still the same loyal and compassionate boy you’d always loved, but he would never be as carefree as he once was. Slowly, his hair had been growing out; nothing major, but just enough to cover his eyes. His sleep pattern was in a downward spiral too. Almost every night, he had grim nightmares about what happened during the tournament, and it caused him to fall asleep in his classes often. He confessed to you the terrifying memories he had from the maze. You could remember in great detail when he told you about the suffocating tunnels of ivy that surrounded him as he tried to move through the maze, making it almost impossible to breathe. The experience was suffocating. He was even more scared by the overgrown roots that wrapped around him and attempted to carry him away from the cup. He clawed at them, screaming in terror for help, but nothing he could do on his own would fight them off. Now, if he got his shoe caught on something as simple as his shoelace, it would make him turn ghostly pale, getting flashbacks to the moment he could’ve lost his life.
Despite what he went through, he kept exceptional grades and still had his friends. For him, maintaining his grades wasn’t a surprise. Not only were his professors very understanding, but studying was one of the few things he could do without ever having to think about what happened that day. He was much more surprised to discover that his friends still loved him, and that he was still as popular as always. He thought his friends would be disappointed in him, but like the incredible friends they were, they adored him just as much, and respected him for the hardship he went through. More than anything, he was glad you still loved him, even if he would never be exactly the same.
However, attention and popularity were no longer what made him feel whole. When people circled him to talk to him, it often scared him. After what happened in the maze, Cedric had intense claustrophobia, and even standing in a crowded room could set him off.
After every dark thing that happened, the only real thing he could find solace in was you, his beloved support system. You knew this, and made it a point to check on him daily, especially if he didn’t talk to you for a day. That’s how you knew when it was a dreadful day for him.
Today was different. Classes were over for the day, and you hadn’t seen him once. You thought maybe it was just a coincidence you didn’t see him in the halls, but when he didn’t show up to your shared History of Magic class, you grew worried. You’d asked around about him for what felt like hours, and eventually one of his friends told you they’d seen Cedric go to his dormitory.
You contemplated what could’ve happened as you entered the Hufflepuff common room. The smell of sweets wafted through the air, and the syrupy scent filled your nose. Usually, you loved to admire the soft yellow furniture and warm lighting, but today you went straight for the boys' dorm. You pushed open the ancient creaky oak door to Cedric’s dorm, and the scene felt all too familiar to you. Before the tournament, Cedric often invited you over, but that was becoming rare as time went on. You knew he still loved you, but it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to reach out to anyone, even just to chat.
You opened the door to find Cedric on the wood floor, sitting next to his bed, with his knees to his chest. You rushed over, quickly closed the door behind you, and sat with him.
For a while, he didn’t say anything, he just softly cried. His cheeks were red, and his breathing was shallow. His favorite gold Hufflepuff sweater had droplets of water across the front from his salty tears. You wanted to engulf him in your arms, but you knew he needed his space.
“I can’t believe what I did,” he finally said, breaking the silence. The tears in his throat were audible and heartbreaking. “A group of people tried talking to me, and I just snapped,” he’s barely able to choke out the words as he begins to sob into your shoulder.
“I know Ced, it’s okay,” you say as you brush your fingers through his soft overgrown honey hair.
“I just snapped,” he says between sobs. “They were all standing so close, and I couldn’t breathe, and all I could think about was that stupid maze.” The words leave his mouth in a quick spiral, and once they’re out he grabs you like if he doesn’t, you’ll vanish. “I shouted at them,” he says, sounding dejected. Even if those students never remembered it, he was too sweet not to blame himself.
“Cedric Diggory,” you say in a strong, but concerned tone, “no one is mad at you. The people here are considerate enough to understand what you went through, and if they can’t understand it, then maybe they deserve to be yelled at.” He doesn’t respond to you, but he holds on to you a little tighter, and presses his face into your neck. His warm, soft lips meet your skin and plant a small kiss on you, and you can feel his wet, tear-stained cheeks brush against you. “Why don’t we get you some food? You’ll feel much better,” you earnestly suggest. He moves away from your neck, keeping a firm grip on your body. Despite his disheveled appearance, he sends you a grin that makes you feel like the sun has just come out after a long winter. He nods his head in agreement and stands up with you. You watch as he fixes his hair, and changes his clothes to go down to the great hall with you. When his shirt is off, you see his sculpted, toned body, and you can’t help but giggle. He blushes, and a soft shade of pink takes over his face. He sends you a wink and quickly puts on another shirt. It seemed like Hufflepuff’s golden boy was making a return.
Once you’re out of the Hufflepuff common room he takes you by the hand and twirls you around, pulling you into him with a soft smile. Your hands connect, as if they were made to hold each other, and he traces his thumb in circles on your hand.
“You are the light of my life,” he whispers into your ear, and it’s like you can hear the smile in his voice.

you were known for being an ice princess. being a slytherin, coming from a rich family, one of the smartest in your class; the whole package. but then you accidentally drank verisaterum, and the person you bumped with… had to be Cedric Diggory, the boy you liked for years.
warnings: language, the twins doing something illegal, emotional reader, little use of yn
reminder: english’s not my first language, so I apologize do any spelling mistakes.

“Morning, (yln)”
“Malfoy”
Of course, he didn’t say anything as you walked out of the Slytherin common room on your way to have breakfast. but you felt his blue eyed intense stare in your back. Unfortunately, you lived in a world where even Draco Malfoy thought that hanging out with you was… not good, but since his parents knew yours, saying hi to you was the least thing he had to do, mainly because it was his parents request.
You decided to go alone this morning. Well, you were always alone, but when you do have company, it’s your cat; Hara. She looked very pleased with her sleeping position, so bothering her was not an option.
You could say she was your only friend, the only one you had ever since your first year at Hogwarts and now, on your sixth year, everything was the same. Did you hate it? Not at all. You got used to being alone, even though you hated it at first.
Your family has a reputation, therefore, you do too. People say you’re an ice princess, they say that if looks could kill, many students would be dead by now and you’d easily be responsible for it. Despite your very low desire of having friends or even sharing your life with wizards and witches, they said many other things about you too that could have easily be something that describes the sweetest girl in the world.
The way you walk, as smooth as if you could float, small but decided and confident steps. Always smelling fresh, like just showered; whoever sat next to you could sense it so strong that some even said that your perfume is made with amortentia.
Besides, you were also your house Prefect.
Truth was, you were an easy center of attention, even when you didn’t want it. A Slytherin girl who’s family is rumored to be richer than the Malfoy’s, her best friend is her black cat, always wearing the most expensive jewelry, spending as much time in the library as possible to study and also someone who’s extremely intelligent that shows its passion for Defense Against the Dark Arts, being at the top of her class? How could you not be someone that people talked about?
You were a whole mystery. But they were too afraid to even try to discover you.
You didn’t know who even started to say that you were not someone good to be with, so you couldn’t understand anything at your first year and cried yourself to sleep every night because no one wanted to be around you. With time, it got better, maybe it’s better to be alone than being sorrunded by bad people, you thought, and it always made you feel better when your stone cold heart was about to melt when you felt too vulnerable.
But no one, definitely no one… makes you feel as vulnerable as Cedric Diggory.
Of course you knew who he was, who didn’t? He was a revolutionary insanely attractive guy that caught every girl’s attention even in his first year. For your first year in Valentine’s day, he received at least twelve letters and a massive box of chocolates gifted by an anonymous girl at your grade, and he didn’t hesitate on sharing it with his friends. On second grade, he gained even more popularity after becoming a part of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, and by fifth grade already, many girls were desperate to ask him on a date and fantasize about what being their girlfriend was like.
You couldn’t deny that you were one of those girls… not the girlfriend part, but the one that could easily fall for him if your heart gave the chance.
You liked him in first grade, secretly, but as the months went by, the colder you became, the more you avoided him, and the more you forgot about his existence, just being another person you know that would not be relevant in your life.
At least, not until he bumped into you just when the year started, three months ago.
You were walking with your hands full of books, almost covering your view as you tried to find your way to your dorm again. Hara was next to you, as always, and you secretly wished she was a human the whole time so she could transform back into her original shape and carry some books for you.
That didn’t happen.
What did happen, is that you gasped as your books bumped into someone’s body; for the second time. The first one ran away when she offered to help you and you yelled at her to leave you alone, because you were too angry to even let her help you.
But how could you yell at his face?
“Oh, Merlin” he had said before quickly getting on one knee, and his big hands already started to pick up three books. You just stood there… silent. “I’m so sorry, I was coming around the corner and-…”
Your tired and big sigh interrupted his words. “It’s fine.” your voice said as you got on both of your knees as you fixed a piece of tour hair behind your ear. “It’s the second time today.”
“I’m sorry” he said again, much sadder this time, and you noticed. You thought you maybe were too hard on your words, or your tone, or the way your face was clenched, but why would you care? Weren’t you always like that?
You didn’t answer though, just silently picking up your heavy and boring looking books from the floor.
Cedric had looked up at you twice while picking up the books. He recognized you from the hallways and his classes, but didn’t find the need to introduce himself; he thought you wouldn’t care a bit. Of course, he had to think just the same way as everyone else.
You secretly wished he didn’t, but you also thought that this was going to be the only time that you saw him and actually talked.
“Are you going to your dorm?”
You frowned your eyebrows at him as you lifted your head. His brown were hidden behind some hair that fell on his forehead as his lips were parted, waiting for your answer. You nodded your head, suddenly remembering that you were actually talking to him, not staring at a fucking statue. You slapped yourself internally, feeling stupid.
“Yeah” your answer was short.
“Let me help you then, it’s the least I can do”
God, could he be more perfect?
But your hard ass had to complain.
“No, it’s okay. I know my way”
You heard his laugh when you picked up the last book from the floor.
“I know you do, but I want to help you. They’re too heavy for you”
You sighed loudly again, and with an annoyed expression on your hardly visible face, you said; “Look, I don’t need help, okay? Just-…” you stopped when you looked to your left. Hara was always there, but not this time. “Where’s Hara?” the fear in your voice alerted Cedric’s ears.
“Who’s Hara?”
“My cat!” you almost yelled, letting your books fall again as you quickly got up, already disappearing into the corner in which the brunette guy came from. “Hara?”
He was quick to follow behind you. “It’s a black cat, right?”
“What?” you asked, turning your head as you found him standing next to your body, looking down at you. “No! I’m not letting you help me find my cat”
“Well, too bad” he muttered before walking past you and brushing your shoulder. You scoffed, surprised with wide eyes as you heard how he called your cat’s name and made those same little noises that everyone does when they are trying to find a cat.
He did not fall for your complaining. Why did you like it so much?
“Ugh!” you shouted towards the ceiling while letting your arms rise up and then fall heavily to your sides. “Hara!” you screamed, knowing damn well that that would not make her come to you again, but being the only thing that came out of your mouth.
You could still hear Cedric’s voice as you silently looked for Hara in the cold hallways, books long forgotten, probably getting stepped on by many students.
For what felt like ten minutes, you were already convinced that Cedric was long gone and had stopped looking for your cat. Your thought got you relaxed, but also worried, were you too harsh on him? Too rude? You didn’t want to be rude with him, or with anyone but it was just what came out of you.
Cedric didn’t run away though. No, he stayed, he insisted. He had to be one of the few if not the only person that ever did that to you, at least for the past three years…
“yn!”
And then he called your name.
A single name falling from his rosy and pumped lips, letting it fall like thick and sweet honey that tasted as magnificent as the sweetest chocolate or cherry. You liked how it sounded, coming from him.
You turned your back, and he almost smiled when he noticed what he had in his arms, and the way your eyebrows instantly came back to their original not-worried expression.
Hara seemed a little too comfortable in his arms as she looked around nervously, as if she saw something she shouldn’t, or got scared by something. He stopped in front of you and gave you your pet in your arms, slightly letting his hands brush yours, but quickly letting go. The feeling was too good to be that short.
“Where were you?” you asked staring into her yellow eyes, as if she could answer. “You scared the living hell out of me, sweetie”
“Sweetie?”
Shit, he was still there.
You just gave him a quick look before kissing Hara’s head and placing her down to the ground again, pointing her with your finger to stay there, she meowed.
“Uh… thank you” you said, probably for the first time in months, and quickly feeling your throat go dry. He smiled, proud of himself because of course, he knew you never acted like this, in fact, it was like a totally different person in front of him.
He noticed the way your cheeks went slightly pink when he caught your baby-acting way of talking to Hara, he found it cute.
Cedric didn’t believe many of the things he heard about you over the years, like, you study so much in the library because you secretly read black magic in the forbidden section, or that you were so mean on your third grade that you made three girls cry the first day, when in fact, he knew it was another person. He almost hated the way people decided to treat you one day and never notice your existence again when it came to friendship.
You were popular, but still, one of the most feared persons. Did that make sense?
“Anytime” he replied, and you held your breath when he got closer to you, still looking at you, but quickly getting on his knees again to give your cat some little pats on her head and stomach when she just laid there, asking for more of his —probably— soft and comforting touch.
Traitor. You thought, looking at Hara.
“She’s so cute” you heard him laugh when your cat gave him the purest glassy eyes ever, enjoying his presence while you stood there awkwardly, just wanting to leave. “I think she loves me”
Once again, you didn’t know what to say, so you stayed silent again, playing with the edges of your robe.
He got up again, still standing too close to you. “You’re still letting me carry those books, right?”
“Huh?”
“Come on, it’s the-…”
“Oh, I know” you interrupted, lifting your palm as your lips clenched in disgust, but way too funny to not make him smile for the last time. “It’s the least you can do” you imitated and exaggerated manly voice.
He walked with you the whole way… and you hated the fact that you let him. If your arms weren’t feeling heavy with books, the ones that Cedric made you grab because they were the lightest, you would’ve crossed your arms over your chest all the way, but since you couldn’t do it, you decided to give him a silent treatment.
He kept eyeing you the whole way, that annoying expression on your face that really made him question to himself if he should even try to talk to you again.
It was not towards him though, but to yourself; how you hated yourself for acting so different all of a sudden, so… small. But this wasn’t your fault, was it? I mean, if he didn’t show up, none of this would’ve have happened, so he was the one to blame, wasn’t he?
Right?
You questioned yourself that same thing over and over again for the following week.
It was like he invaded your mind, everytime you looked at him, you heard him talk in class, or walked past him down the hallway. It was like you were always trying to see him too, it was pathetic.
Fucking pathetic. He only helped you find your cat, for God’s sake, why was that so important to you?
Maybe because no one ever helped you before, or the way he walked so tentatively towards you anytime he walked, or how good he looked with your own cat in his arms… so cute, so handsome.
Sometimes he was there when you tried to sleep too, inside your head. What was happening to you? Why were you desperately trying to keep him out of your mind all of a sudden? Why did you feel your heart skip a beat whenever he talked? Why did you happened to be thinking about his face so much? Why wouldn’t he let you sleep?
Was this what your talked about? She mentioned something about liking boys at a certain age, but every boy you ever knew ran away from you, so, was Cedric this boy now?
You certainly didn’t know what was it about him that caught your attention so suddenly, but stopping was not an option. After all, it made you feel good.
The more days that passed, the more confused you felt, and people started to notice. They saw how you were muy quieter now in class, how you barely raised your hand or how you just seemed… lost. Was something wrong with you? Probably, because you didn’t even eat your breakfast this morning. You just sat there, playing with your scrambled eggs and toasts, not even hungry enough to eat what you served.
There was some mumbling that came from behind you, the Gryffindor table, but didn’t even bother to look back at them, as you always do, so they would either lower their volume, or shut up. Instead, you took the cup in which you had some pumpkin juice, and drank it all.
And then, the mumbling stopped.
The whole Gryffindor group went silent, and that’s when you turned around, almost asking them to speak again… they were all staring at you.
Fred and George were mouth opened and all big eyes looking directly at you, as if something really bad just happened. His friends were whispering into each other’s ears, and you finally spoke.
“What?”
Silence.
“What are you staring at?”
“Um-…” one of the twins spoke first, but you found tell which one was it. Then he lifted his finger, and pointed to the golden cup on your left hand. “Was that your juice?”
You frowned your eyebrows, looked at the cup, and then back at them. “Yes” you replied “Why so interested?”
Silence was dominant again, as the twins exchanged a scared look and then looked back at you again. Your ears were starting to get red, nobody was telling you anything so they were either messing with you, or something bad had happened. You chose to believe the first one… but saying what you were actually thinking was not part of the plan.
“Alright, stupid looking faces, what the fuck is going on?”
The expression on their faces changed, surprised about hearing what you just said… you never insulted anyone. In fact, people thought that you were the kind of person to insult in their mind, but trying to be as cold as ever on the outside, that’s why everyone called you ice hearted or ice princess, you never actually said what you thought… you just tried to be as calm and as cold as always.
But you just insulted a group of teenagers, and that never happened before. No matter how mad you were, you always tried not to insult. People did it to you and it felt horrible, so why do it to someone else?
You gasped lowly while covering your mouth. “Fohmygad” you muttered against your palm. “Oh my God, I’m-… I didn’t want to”
“We know” the other twin had said. “You just drank veritaserum”
And your whole face transformed.
“What… did you just say?” Your voice tone was scary, just like a threat.
“It was not for you!” you recognized the girl that just spoke to you, Angelina. You sat with her a few times in class, but she was quick to run away from you as soon as class finished. “I told you you shouldn’t have done that! All the cups look the same” she hit one of the twins on the side of their head. He whined.
“How was it supposed to know she was going to grab Malfoy’s cup?”
You quickly stood up and placed the cup on the table, right next to, in fact, Malfoy’s breakfast. It was not too far away from you, and you had poured yourself the same drink, but Draco left for a second before you drank the wrong juice.
Fred and George kept talking at the same time towards you, fear in their voices and getting smaller and smaller almost hiding under the table. You ignored them as much as you could so nothing else could come out of your mouth, and with half your face covered, you walked away from the Great Hall.
But of course, not before bumping into another person again.
“Woah” Cedric said as he grabbed your shoulders. He laughed when he noticed it was you “We keep bumping into each other, huh?”
“Don’t talk to me” you bit while shaking your body off of his grabbing, and bit your tongue again as the gigantic door kept getting closer and closer, but it didn’t make you feel any better.
You didn’t look back as you walked as fast as you could towards the bathroom on the fifth floor, the Prefect’s bathroom, after all, you were one. It was a safe place, since no one was ever there at that time in the morning and not everyone could come in. You just wished that Myrtle was not there, she could be a bit annoying sometimes.
After letting your way in, you ran to wash your face with the coldest water that your skin could handle. Your skin was on fire, just like the rest of your body and maybe, just maybe, your brain. You have definitely gained a new enemy.
Verisaterum? Really?
Malfoy could be a pain in the ass but, out of all the potions in the wizarding world, the Weasley twins had to choose the hardest one to make, with no taste, no color, but most importantly, illegal to any use outside the Minister?
Merlin’s fucking beard, you needed a break.
“yn?”
You scoffed when a male voice called your name. “It’s occupied, genius” you answered with your back still turned to where the voice was coming.
The footsteps were coming closer and closer, and you were not in the mood to deal with any Weasley shit, you thought.
“Pretrificus Totalus!” you screamed while turning around, your hand already grabbing your wand and throwing it towards whoever it was the Weasley that followed you.
“Hey!” the male voice, not Weasley, screamed as he hid behind a wall, your spell crushing into the cold surface. “What do you think you’re doing?” Cedric showed himself, confusion on his face as he slowly decided to walk again.
“Cedric.” you called, putting your wand away. It was the first time you called his name. “I thought you were one of the twins”
“I can tell… are you okay?”
Yes.
“No”, you replied. You groaned lowly when the truth came out of your lips. In times like this, you really wished these kind of potions didn’t exist, it was hard to hold back their enchantment. “I just drank the most stupid potion that the Weasley twins could think of to piss off Malfoy”
He placed his hands inside the front pockets of his pants as he laughed. “Verisaterum?”
“How’d you know?”
He clicked his tongue, making his way towards you again. “They joke about it too much” he leaned his back against the sink you were gripping tightly with your hands.
You took a deep breath and stayed silent for a moment, analyzing your reflection as you asked, “How long does it last?”
“Depends on how successful it is. It can go away between one hour and six”
“Six hours!?” you yelled to his face, then scoffed while letting an annoyed smile draw on your face. “For the love of….”
“We can always ask Snape for the antidote… but that would mean you tell him about the twins’s action and that was illegal”
You bit your tongue as your feet bobbed up and down, snapping your toes onto the shiny floor again and again as your breathing was a clear sign of how bad you were feeling.
“Forget it. I’ll just wait”
Your knees bended as you sat on the floor, right next to Cedric’s legs, and letting your head fall against the cold pipe under the sink.
“You’ll wait up until six hours before you speak again?” his voice could perfectly fit with another type of quiestion… ‘are you crazy?’ would be the perfect one.
But you just nodded, not even looking at his perfect face. “It’s not like I have someone to talk to, anyways”
Ouch.
Cedric bit the inside of his cheek as he looked down at you, feeling bad for you and how vulnerable were feeling, but being smart enough to keep that thought to himself.
“Or… you can talk to me”
You clicked your tongue and laughed coldly. “Yeah, right”
“Really” he insisted as you saw his figure squat next to yours, finally dropping his whole weight to the floor, imitating your posture. “By this time you should already know I’m not someone who falls for your complains, right?”
“You’re right” you replied as you played with your fingers nervously. “That’s good”
Shit, shut up already.
“Why?”
“‘Cause I like it… oh my god” you covered your face “I was not supposed to say that”
Cedric laughed again.
“You like my company?”
No, no, no, no.
“Yes” you whined “Please stop asking me questions!”
He let out a louder laugh this time. “Why? It’s fun”
“Yeah, you drink verisaterum and we’ll see if it’s funny, smart boy”
“Sorry”
He stayed silent after that, and so did you. Your cheeks were flushed with embarrassment as you kept wishing that this potion was so poorly made that it only lasted one hour, but the effect didn’t seem to go away any sooner.
You could feel it because that’s just how your mind felt too. Suddenly the thought of not saying the truth to any question was not an option in your mind. Did you even know what a lie was? God, you felt so weak that you hated yourself. Why couldn’t you be like those wizards you read about? The ones that can resist it?
Your whole reputation and personality would’ve stayed intact if you could.
But right now, sitting right next to Cedric Diggory, asking you questions, and with red cheeks… that just ruined the whole image that people thought you had.
“Do you mind if I ask you something?” he suddenly stammered and it made you jump slightly. He had leaned closer to your ear, as if sitting next to him was not enough to hear him.
“I do” you answered before laughing to yourself “That was the only answer that did not feel forced to come out”
Cedric laughed too, and he took his time before deciding what to ask you, trying to find the correct words to say to not make you mad, or walk away and leave.
“Is it… are you really how people say you are? I mean, I see that you can be as cold as you want but, is that who you are?”
Your eyes made him nervous. After his lips closed, your face just inches away from his, you just stayed there staring at him. You bit your own lip as you kept looking at his grey eyes, trying to find any sign that showed you that he really didn’t care about it, or that the wrinkles on his skin would show up like anytime he laugh, another sign that he was just messing with you, and he really couldn’t care in the slightest about you. But he didn’t move.
So you sighed. “No”
Cedric nodded, more than satisfied with that answer. He was right.
But you had a lot to say, even though he didn’t ask you that much.
“I guess I became what people started to say I was, or what I started to hear about myself. I wasn’t always cold, or I wasn’t always pushing people away from me. Actually, I was the one trying to have lots of friends and be myself with many people but they just… I don’t know, they felt threatened, so… let’s just say I got mad with my own life and decided to not let myself feel vulnerable again, because I don’t deserve it”
Another big gap of silence… and your eyes slowly got filled with tears.
“I’m not who everyone says I am. Ice princess, the hell” you laughed “I mean, sorry I’m not a sweetheart to everyone that gave me nicknames! They expected me to be like this so, here they go”
You sniffed while your nose got red and puffy. Not a single tear was dropped but you still looked so heartbroken that it made the boy next to you almost cry too. You didn’t even complain about the potion this time, because you finally had thrown again that massive rock that just kept hurting your chest over and over again.
“There was only one person that treated me nicely in the last three years”
He frowned his eyebrows. “Who?”
“You”
You had turned your head towards him again, with a small smile on your lips. He knew it was going to be hard for you to thank him, but the shiny look in your eyes was just enough for him to realize. “Really?” he asked.
You nodded, still smiling. “Yes, it’s like a bonus point”
“Bonus point?”
“Because I like you”
Fuck… fuck!
“I-…”
“Wha-…” you both started taking at the same time.
It was like a fucking movie. Both of you frozen in time, staring at each other’s faces as you tried to say the correct words, but nothing came to mind.
Cedric could feel his heart pounding in his ears, while you wanted to crash your head to the nearest wall.
“You…” he started, but didn’t finish, at least not what he initially wanted to say. “Are you for real?”
“No, Diggory, I just fucking lied to your face, can you believe it?… Of course I’m for real, dingus!” you yelled.
Cedric bit his lip as he turned his head to the opposite side, trying to bite back his laugh. “Okay, I get it, it was a dumb question”
But then he laughed. God, his laugh, his perfect little giggle. It made you smile.
“I kinda like you too”
Your neck snapped so hard towards his direction that you thought that maybe, you just died.
Your lips kept opening and closing everytime you tried to say something. For some reason, none of this seemed like a joke to you, almost as if the potion’s effect had affected Cedric too. Something about this felt real, maybe it was because you openly talked about your feeling with him. He knew you weren’t bad, he always knew, he just wanted you to confirm it.
Maybe drinking verisaterum wasn’t as bad as you thought.
Your heart pounded heavily in your chest when he fixed a piece of your hair behind your ear, and the lightest yet burning touch of his fingers against your jawline made your breath hitch once again. He smirked again, as he always does, “You’re really beautiful” he cooed, as his hot breath hit your cheekbone and left behind a sweet feeling that you never wanted to get rid of.
He then got up, as swiftly as a leaf would do, and extended his hand to you.
“What?” you debated.
“Let’s go for a walk. I feel like I have to ask you a few more questions before I decided which place I’m taking you to this weekend”

Glorious
a/n: I'm so sad that I accidentally lost the request for this! Long story short, I posted the unfinished story instead of saving it to my drafts, so I deleted it. It's been too long since I last posted and I promise I'll try to do so more often!! Also, this is my first time writing smut, so sorry if it's terrible!
Request: Cedric smut after quidditch practice
Pairing: Cedric Diggory x Female! Reader
Warnings: smut (obviously), switch! Cedric (mostly sub), switch! Reader (mostly dom), unprotected sex (wrap it before you tap it, people!!), edging, orgasm denial, friends cockblocking ced (poor baby), dirty talk, slight breeding kink, praise and degradation.
Word count: I have no idea, but A LOT. More than I expected, to be honest. I want to say 4k of smut? (Don't come at me, I'm horny)
If you like this, reblog or (if you can and want to) buy me a coffee!

Glorious.
That was the word that came to mind as the one and only Cedric Diggory flew after the snitch. Autumn had just begun but summer has left its heat. And that left Cedric shirtless during training.
He was far away from where you sat, but his lean muscles glowed under the sun, leaving goosebumps on your skin despite the heatwave.
With or without a shirt, seeing your boyfriend train was a huge turn-on. His brows furrowed in concentration, his muscles straining to stay balanced on the broom, his agility and keen eye, the competitiveness of it all.
Of course, in the end, it was just a bunch if people playing with balls of all shapes and sizes. You were particularly a big fan of fondling in the bedroom, so why not cheer your boyfriend on while he did the same?
'Ok, maybe not the same. But we can't all be athletic.' You thought, just as Cedric laid eyes on the snitch.
"Come on, Ced!" You cheered, jumping up and down in the stands along with some of the other player's significant others and Hufflepuff supporters.
He flew quicker by the second, reaching out into the clouds. The golden ball was fast, but Cedric was faster. Soon enough, he caught the snitch and both teams went wild for their seeker.
Even though it was just a practice game, you cheered and jumped. Cedric caught your eyes from the other side of the field and flew toward you.
Every game he did the same thing, it became your tradition. The moment he caught the snitch, he flew your way for a celebratory kiss before touching the ground to cheer with his teammates.
"Hello, darling" he said with a huge grin before connecting his lips with yours.
Cedric deepened the kiss, urging you to part your lips with a brush of his tongue. You felt the saltiness as you swiped your own against his lips, but you didn't mind.
His warm tongue connected with yours a second later, causing a tingling sensation between your legs.
Cedric pulled away entirely too quickly, leaving you closed-eyed and chasing his lips. With a cocky grin and a wink, he flew down to where his team had already started removing their gear.
He would definitely pay for his teasing later. For now, you hiked your skirt a bit higher and went to meet him beside the locker rooms.
The two of you locked eyes and you made sure to sway your hips a bit more. His gaze scanned your body hungrily.
Due to the warm weather, you had removed your socks and tie, as well as opened your shirt. It hadn't been on purpose, but you were glad you did. If looks could kill, you'd be splayed and torn apart on Cedric's dick. Your thighs squeezed together in anticipation.
"(y/n)! Wait!" Exclaimed Luna, trotting down the bleachers.
You cursed under your breath and Cedric laughed before going into the changing rooms.
You loved Luna, she was one of your closest friends, but reading the room was definitely not one of her strong suits.
"Hi" she sighed, going in for a tight hug.
"Hey, Luna" you hugged her back just as tightly.
"Would you like to study potions later? I could use your help"
"Sure." You answered, starting down the stairs again, Luna trailing beside you "Lake or library?"
"Oh, library. The lake has too many distractions, I have to stay focused this time."
"Alright, after Snape’s class?"
"Yes, that will work perfectly." She nodded, wrote it down on her hand and turned to leave before glancing back with a smirk "have a nice time with Cedric, but do try not to get caught."
You stood there gobsmacked.
Purposely cockblocked by Luna Lovegood.
You laughed before heading towards the locker room.
Two players headed out, waving your way, as you leaned against the wall opposite of where Cedric was.
Fifteen more minutes went by and three players had left. You crossed your arms and sighed.
'What in Merlin's name is taking so long?' You asked yourself, patience growing thinner by the minute.
When your watch marked twenty-five minutes since the players went in, the 6th player left and Cedric was still nowhere to be found.
You decided to wait five more minutes.
'You're just being impatient. Calm the hell down, (y/n)' you told yourself, taking a deep breath.
But 30 minutes was too much. Not for you, but for Cedric. He bathes like there's a ticking time bomb in the showers.
'Is he hurt?' The thought crossed your mind and your feet lead you inside.
The air was humid and hot around you.
"Cedric?" You whisper-yelled "I swear to Merlin, if you're dead in here, I'll kill you."
A groan made you stop in your tracks.
"Cedric?" You called out, moving towards the deep breathing.
Rounding the corner, you found a sight picked straight out of your dirtiest maladaptive daydreams.
Your boyfriend was naked and wet. Cedric's left hand tried to grip the wall, beads of water trailing down his tense biceps and lower. It flowed down his torso and lower even, to where his right hand held a tight grip around his cock, pumping up and down in a slow and sensual pace.
"Took you long enough" he said, a smirk on his face.
Striding towards him, you smirked right back. Removing your uniform and shoes, then, ever so slowly, your underwear. A groaning Cedric quickened his pace at the sight of you.
You entered the shower, closing the water, as Cedric released his dick and grabbed your waist, pulling you into him.
He went straight for your lips, just as slow and sensual as his former pace.
Your hands went separate ways. One towards his hair, that pulled the short strands back to break the kiss. The other wrapped around his arousal, stroking till the tip.
The mixture of both sensations had Cedric moaning your name fervently.
"Who said you could start without me?" You whispered in his ear.
"Didn't mean to, didn't think you'd take this long to come find me" he replied, kissing your neck right where he knew your knees would go weak.
"You'll still have to pay for your hastiness."
"You know I love your punishments, darling" he grins and catches your lips in a passionate kiss. Tongues circling, teeth clashing and bodies drawing impossibly closer.
Your hand started stroking his swollen flesh again, drawling low and soft moans from his lips.
"I know, love." You soothed, but your hand only moved faster, your grip tighter.
A string of curses escaped his lips.
"(y/n)" he whimpered.
"You're so close, aren't you?" You cooed.
"So close, so close" he answered frantically.
"Not quite yet, I can't let you off the hook that easily." You said, halting your movements.
He let out a dissapointed groan.
"Don't be ungrateful, darling." You teased, "You'll come soon enough"
A bead of pre-cum leaked from his tip. You gathered it in your thumb and brought it to your lips, sucking the saltiness seductively.
Cedric's pupils were blown wide and an almost primal look took over his features.
You grabbed his neck and kissed him with everything you had, doing all the things you knew would drive him wild, then pulled away. He was left closed eyed, chasing your lips.
But you hadn't had all your fun yet. With a grin on your face, you turned around and headed towards your clothes.
"Darling?" he asked.
You ignored him, putting on your shirt and probably missing a few buttons in the process. You saw Cedric grab his towel, a confused look on his face. You put on your skirt and threw your lace underwear his way. He grabbed them with slightly wide eyes.
"I'd get ready quickly if I were you. If I wait too long for you, I might start by myself." with a wink, you left a bungling Cedric hurriedly drying himself.
You let out a low giggle while strutting out the locker rooms. You were leaving the field when Cedric caught up with you, shirt half open, your lace panties between his teeth, and still buttoning up his pants.
You stifled a giggle at the sight and walked faster. He tripped, but managed to catch himself.
Before long, he was fully dressed and walking fast beside you, glancing your way every few seconds with a giddy smile on his face.
That is, until Harry Potter started calling after him.
His eyes widened slightly, he grabbed your arm and said "Don't you dare stop walking"
With a playful smile on your face, you released your arm from his grip and turned towards the griffindor.
"Hello, Harry!" You smiled widely, mosty because of the impatient look on Cedric's face.
"Hey, (y/n)," he turned towards your boyfriend "Cedric, can I talk to you for a second?" the boy looked at you for a split second before returning his gaze to Cedric "Alone."
"Actually, we-"
"Of course! Take your time, Harry!" You answered, overly amiable.
As you started walking away, Cedric grabbed your arm again.
"(y/n)'s not feeling very well, I have to take care of her. Can we do this another time?"
"Oh, nonsense! You know I can take care of myself." You said, untangling yourself from him, "Besides, I feel much better now. I might even -"
Your words were cut off as Cedric pulled you against his chest.
"I'm sure (y/n) won't tell a soul, there's nothing you can say to me that you can't say to her."
Harry reluctantly started saying something about some girl. Maybe Cho? Ginny? You had no idea. You were too busy feeling Cedric's hard cock against your backside, his hands pressing at your stomach to hold you as close as possible.
You looked up at him and he had a smug look on his face. He knew what he was doing.
His lips were moving, but all you could thing about was his dick inside you, pounding over and over again until your whole body shook.
"What do you think, (y/n)?"
Your name pulls you back from your lustful state and you realise the words came from Harry. He looked doubtful and insecure. You understood him, you'd been in a similar situation after all. Who never has? Pining after someone and not knowing if they'll ever want you back? Too shy and insecure to do anything about it? It was a universal experience.
"I think that I never would have told Cedric about my feelings if he didn't make the first move. I never would have told him how I felt and we wouldn't be together now." You held Cedric's hands on your stomach and smiled at the memory of him first coming to speak with you.
"I think that you will never know how she feels if you never ask. Life is about taking risks. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but that only means that person wasn't the one for you. You are remarkable, Harry Potter. If anyone does not want you it's their loss, not yours. And if they do want you, they'll be extremely lucky to have you."
The boy was blushing by the end of your speech and Cedric smiled down at you.
"D'you really think so?" he asked, but a smile pulled at his lips.
"I do." you answered sincerely.
"Ok, Potter, cheers mate. We gotta go." Cedric said, taking your hand, not waiting for a reply before jogging through the halls, dragging you along with him.
Your laughter echoed through the halls and your stomach clenched in anticipation. Cedric lead you down the stairs and past the kitchens, his face no longer humorous.
He tapped the rhythm to "Helga Hufflepuff" on the right barrel and immediately pushed through, pulling you along with him. You both made your way to his dorm, thanking Merlin once again that prefects have individual rooms.
The click of the lock closing resonated through the room and the only noise left was your heavy breathing as you gazed as one another.
You made the first move, slowly unbuttoning your shirt and leaving it to fall on the floor. Cedric watched, unmoving, as you unzipped your skirt and let it fall as well.
You leaned against the door and he looked at you with a predatory gaze, but you both knew who was in charge.
"Kneel." you commanded and Cedric immediately obeyed, falling to his knees in front of you, holding the back of your thighs.
"Did I say you could touch me?" you asked, raking your hands through his hair.
He removed his hands from you, but begged "I need you so much, please. Can I make you come?" his pupils were blown wide, his brows furrowed, and his erection pressing against his pants.
"Only because you asked so nicely" you answered sweetly and Cedric sighed, his head falling to your mound.
His hands massaged your buttocks as he gave you kisses so close yet so far to where you needed him most.
"Now," you breathed "you are going to give me head and make me cum. Can you do that, baby?"
"Please," he whimpered, kissing your mound, "wanna taste you so bad, darling."
"Go ahead, Ced."
He immediately complied, hiking your right leg over his shoulder and licking from your entrance to your clit. You gasped, steadying yourself against the wall and he moaned against you.
"Always taste so good, my love."
Cedric licked and sucked like a starved man, tearing moan after moan from you.
"Cedric" you whimpered, gripping his hair to bring him closer or push him away. You didn't even know anymore.
He swirled his tongue around your clit before lowering his mouth to your entrance again and plunging his tongue inside. Your groan was loud enough for anyone in the hufflepuff common room and adjacent to hear as he fucked you slowly with his tongue.
"Just like that, baby."
He complied, keeping the same rhythm. In and out, in and out.
Your walls started clenching and warmth spread across your lower stomach, but it still wasn't enough.
"I need more." you said, looking down at him.
Like a good boy, he started stroking your clit with his thumb and worked his tongue faster.
Like that wasn't enough, he looked up at you and just the sight of him on his knees for you, with disheveled hair, eating you out while his spare hand stroked his cock would have brought on your first orgasm.
Your body shook and your knees gave out, but Cedric still held you and kept using his tongue to help you ride out your high.
When it was too much, you pulled his head away from your core by his hair.
"You were so good, my love." You caressed his face "Until you started touching yourself."
"I wasn't going to make myself come, I swear." He stood up "I just wanted to feel good."
"I'll make you feel good, baby." you dragged your finger and nails down his torso, leaving goosebumps as you told him to lie down on the bed.
"Finish taking your clothes off," you said, looking around "I want you naked when I get on that bed."
Finding what you were looking for, you crawled over your boyfriend's body and sat down on top of his erection. The direct contact with your heat made him swear.
You put his arms above his head and bound his wrists to the headboard with your house's tie.
"Please, I swear I won't touch myself." he pulled at the tie "I just wanna touch you, darling."
"Oh, I can't let you do that." you propped your hands on his chest and started a tortuously slow drag of your hips up and down his length, "You've been misbehaving a lot this afternoon. You only get to touch me when you've been a good boy."
"I'll be a good boy, I promise." he whimpered.
"We'll see about that." you answered, grinding a bit faster against him.
His hands were white from pulling at the tie, his breathing laboured and his hips shaking with restraint.
You leaned forward, your breasts falling to his face, "Suck on them."
He leaned towards them and captured your left nipple with his mouth. His nibbling and sucking tore moans from you and made you fasten your pace on his cock.
"Gonna come soon." he managed before turning his attention to your right nipple.
You took his jaw in your hand and kissed him passionately before resting your forehead against his.
His cock started twitching beneath you and Merlin if it didn't bring you an instant from your second orgasm, but you pulled away all at once.
Tears threatened to spill from his eyes and his dick kept spasming, his hips bulking.
Cedric whimpered.
"I know, I know." you cooed "You're doing so good, but I'm not done punishing you just yet."
You connected your lips one last time before making your way to the foot of the bed, caressing his leg as you walked. The growing wetness and incessant pulse between your thighs made you clench them.
"You did so good at training today, Ced." you praised him, "And you looked so handsome, too."
You got on the bed once more, between his legs this time, and he looked down at you.
"Wanted your pretty cock in my mouth the whole time."
He moaned as you started stroking his length, a bead of pre-cum falling onto your hand.
"Please, I want to be inside you." he begged, thrusting into your hand.
"Soon enough, my love." you answered kissing his tip, earning you a hiss "Have patience."
Your mouth watered as you looked at his engorged member, hard against his abs. All flustered cheeks, glistening skin, and shallow breaths, Cedric awaited your next move.
"Glorious." You breathed to yourself, but the seeker flushed even more from the praise.
Your eyes went back to his cock and the vein on the underside was your first target. You heard his moan as you licked him from base to tip, then took him inside your mouth all at once.
His hips bulked and his head hit the back of your throat, making you gag. Your pulse quickened everywhere.
Bobbing your head up and down, sucking harder at the head, you pushed Cedric closer to the edge.
He moaned your name like a prayer, over and over, and you kept up your pace even as tears fell from your eyes and drool spread down your chin.
"Touch my balls." He gasped and you complied, smiling around him.
You cupped and massaged his scrotum, already heavy with cum and you imagined all that inside of you. Moaning at the thought, you gave Cedric one last suck before getting up on your knees to untie him.
His hands flew to your hips and his lips to yours.
"You had your fun, darling, now it's my turn." he said, voice deep and eyes dark. His pupils were so dilated you could barely see the usual grey.
Holding your body to his, he flipped the both of you and looked down at you with one arm holding his weight beside your body, the other hand softly grazing your body.
"Hello, gorgeous." he smiled, diving to kiss you.
You kissed him back, tongues caressing each other and hands roaming.
Two fingers slid from your entrance to your clit and you shuddered.
"So wet for me, aren't you?" he took his digits to his lips and sucked them clean, you bit your bottom lip to contain a moan.
The sight alone could have made you cum.
"I need you to use your words, darling. I'm going to fuck you into the mattress right now, alright?" he said, caressing your face.
The contrast between his words and his tenderness had you squirming "Please." was all you could manage.
Taking his swollen cock, he teased you, dragging the head up and down your slit then circling your clit.
"Hurry!" you whined and he immediately obliged, completely sheathing his cock in your entrance.
Both gasping, your walls clenched around him and Cedric steadied himself against the bed.
Your mingling breaths evened out a bit before Cedric slowly pulled out until the tip and rutted back in again.
One of your hands shot up to hold his biceps while the other splayed against his back.
His length hit deep, hard and slow, making you dizzy.
He moaned your name in your ear, hair brushing the side of your face. Your legs made their way around his waist, letting him hit even deeper and you clenched harder around him.
"Fuck, darling." he groaned, quickening his pace "Need you to come for me, can you do that?"
His every thrust lead you to your second orgasm. How deep he hit, the moans and grunts he let out, how every plunge of his hips rubbed against you clit, the look he had in his eyes.
Every one of your muscles clenched and shook, Cedric moaned, and you let out a cry as blinding pleasure exploded through your body.
Even as you came down from your high, the thrusts didn't stop. If anything, they were harder and faster.
Cedric pulled out and turned you over, bringing your ass towards him. He plunged himself in again and continued his thrusts just as deep and fast as before.
You bit the pillow as he gave your ass a smack, but he still heard your low groan.
"You like that, don't you?" he spanked you again, a bit harder this time, and you cried out "My pretty little cock slut."
You moaned incoherently as he hit just the right spot over and over.
"Gonna come inside you, darling." he grunted.
Grabbing one of his hands placed on your hips, you looked back at him and, as always, the sight was glorious.
Cedric could have been sculpted by the gods themselves, with a layer of sweat that made his skin glow, veins and lean muscles bulging, and sexual prowess you were sure no human should have been made to have.
Interlacing your fingers, he looked into your eyes then shot his head up and his thrusts became sloppier. His dick started swelling inside you and you moaned. He was close and so were you.
"Fill me up, Ced. Wanna be so full of you." was the last thing you managed to say before your walls clenched tightly around him and you let out a silent scream.
Cedric poured out a string of curses and gave one final deep thrust before you felt his release coat your walls. Breathing laboured and bodies exhausted, he fell to his side and brought your body with him.
"You did so good, baby." he praised, kissing your hair, then asked sweetly "Do you need anything? Water, a bath?"
You turned around and curled into him "Just you."
He smiled and kissed your forehead "You'll always have me."
"I love you." you murmured into his chest.
Cedric's heart swelled in his chest and he said "I love you." but you were already asleep.

midnight feasts and evening strolls — c.d.
Tumblr media
Summary: Aside from thinking up clever retorts to practically everything, you had always been quite fond of midnight feasts. Aside from being reduced to a blushing mess at said clever retorts, Cedric had always been quite fond of you.
Pairing: Cedric Diggory x fem!ravenclaw!reader
Word Count: ~4.1K
A/N: i'm so down bad for this man. possibly one of my most simple yet the most fun to write fics ever. i loved writing for cedric so expect a lottt more of that in the future!!! enjoy!
Cedric knew it was too good to be true when his midnight patrols were going a little too well.
It was eerily quiet in the castle, with Cedric producing the only sounds heard in the night. He hadn’t caught any students out of their dormitories tonight. A truly novel feat.
It wasn’t unusual for him to reprimand one or two lost first years nightly. Although, how they managed to be lost for two hours past curfew, he had no idea.
Partly surprised and partly pleased, he had made it all the way around the castle, on his way to the dungeons to finally call it a night. The soft rustling of his cloak against the stone floor soon came to a halt, however, when he heard a faint thud in the distance.
He exhaled deeply out of his nose before turning back the way he came to find the culprit. It really did seem too good to be true – and he was absolutely right. He would be catching a student tonight, after all.
He retraced his steps until he wasn’t even sure if he had actually heard anything or simply imagined the sound due to his recent lack of sleep. It certainly wouldn’t surprise him if it were the latter. He had a lot on his mind lately and while these midnight strolls usually seemed to clear his mind, they weren’t proving particularly helpful tonight.
Rubbing his sleepy eyes once, he decided that it really was too late tonight to chase a potentially imaginary student around the castle. He rounded a corner that he was pretty sure would lead him to the dungeons as you collided into his chest with a thud, dropping the contents of your hands.
“Shit!” you exclaimed as you bent down at once to recollect them all. The house elves were not going to be pleased to see you back at the kitchen doors for a second time tonight.
Finally overcoming his shock at encountering a strange girl with handfuls of biscuits, crisps and the occasional pastries, Cedric found his voice again. “Hey! It’s two hours past curfew. You’re not supposed to be here.”
“Pfft,” you excused his scolding without glancing up. “What are you going to do? Take five points from Ravenclaw? Go ahead. We’re too far ahead of every other house this year anyway.”
Cedric furrowed his brows as he blinked, taken aback and at a severe loss for words. Realization flooded his brain at once at your snarky remark and he exhaled again. Of course he had to run into you tonight, of all people.
You had earned quite a reputation in your year for your sharp tongue and even quicker wit. He couldn’t remember a single class in the past seven years of his Hogwarts career in which you hadn’t raised your hand politely to interrupt and correct whatever professor was giving the lecture. You had even done it to Snape a few times and Cedric had only been able to blink in stunned silence every time.
Though Cedric would never admit it, it was getting increasingly difficult to conceal the little crush he had developed on the pretty Ravenclaw girl that always had a clever quip on the tip of her tongue.
That very fact was evidenced by his odd behaviour tonight: he couldn’t help but remain standing awkwardly as he watched you gather your things on the cold stone floor, your hair illuminated by the moonlight pouring in through the castle windows and your robes impossibly ruffled after the collision.
As you finally turned your gaze upwards, standing back up and brushing your robe off, you raised your eyebrows in surprise. “Diggory?” You questioned in confusion.
“Er,” he began, trying his best to regain his composure. “Yes.” Cedric found himself thanking Merlin that you two were alone right now. His friends would never let him live this down if they were to see this. “What are you doing here, [Y/L/N]?”
“Couldn’t sleep,” you replied simply as your eyes roamed Cedric’s face. You had never seen him up close before, though all the girls in your year had made it a personal mission to do so at least once in their academic life. He was already impossibly dashing from afar but this was a different thing altogether. It was like he glowed.
“So you raided the kitchen?” he questioned as his lips tugged upwards slightly. He tried to ignore how his eyes seemed to catch on how you licked your lips as you thought of an answer or how your nose twitched at his attempt at humour.
“I couldn’t sleep and I was really hungry,” you amended with a quick roll of your eyes, which only made Cedric smile wider. He soon reigned it back, though. He really hoped you couldn’t see how hard he was trying to feign nonchalance. “I was just about to head back actually.” You clarified.
As you started to take a few steps forward, with your pile of snacks balanced haphazardly in your arms, a packet of crisps tumbled to the floor yet again, followed by multiple packets of cookies. You cast Cedric a sheepish look. Cedric cast you a thoroughly amused one.
With a fond smile still playing on his lips, he picked your snacks up from the floor, placing them back in your arms. It wasn’t long before they tumbled back to the floor. Cedric watched this with amusement, paying close attention at the huff you let out and the slight pout of your lips and the soft furrow in your brows and–
“Diggory?” You called expectantly.
He blinked a few times as you addressed him, his love-struck smile dropping altogether.  He wondered if he was supposed to know what to do at this moment. He opened his mouth to say something before closing it again.
You exhaled heavily. “Can you please walk me back? I can’t carry all this back myself and my wand is buried in my robe pockets.” You gestured to the fallen snacks on the floor. “Please?”
Cedric’s heart leaped at your request just as quickly as he bent down to pick your snacks up, giving you a small nod. “Yeah,” he finally let out. “Of course.”
He matched your pace as you two walked through the castle together, towards the Ravenclaw tower. It was, once again, eerily silent in the castle. Although, if someone were to ask Cedric, he’d complain of all the commotion his heart was making. He risked a few glances at you to make sure you couldn’t hear how loud it was beating.
“So,” he began, eager to fill the awkward silence but even more eager to be able to turn to look at you properly without it being weird. “Do you raid the kitchen often?”
“It isn’t raiding, per se,” you retort. “It’s requesting nicely and hoping the elves don’t say no.”
Cedric let out a small, breathy laugh. “Alright. Do you do that often?”
“Mainly when I can’t sleep,” you admit honestly, turning to look at him. “I’ve always found it easier to sleep after eating something.”
Cedric hummed in response. Merlin knew he needed all the tips he could get to help him sleep. With the first task of the Triwizard Tournament fast-approaching, he hadn’t been able to sleep a wink most nights. “I’ll have to give that a try then,” he mumbled under his breath.
A pause.
“Is it because of the Tournament?”
Cedric turned his head, then, to look at you at once. It was like you had read his mind. But then again, he found himself thinking, he was the Hogwarts champion. He reckoned most students knew who he was and what he had signed up for. Still though, if you were to look closely, you would’ve seen the faintest shade of pink coat the tips of his ears.
He hesitated before sighing. “Yeah,” he admitted. “I guess it is.”
“Still have no idea about the first task?” you asked sympathetically, holding his eyes the entire time. He found it particularly difficult to keep gazing into your eyes, though, so he cleared his throat as he looked down for a moment.
“No,” he replied. “I’ve got no clue.”
You nudged his shoulder lightly and Cedric was sure his brain had short-circuited at the contact. “You’ll be fine, I’m sure. I believe in you,” you shot him a quick smile and Cedric immediately felt his cheeks redden. He tried his best to hold your gaze as he smiled back but eventually resorted to studying the ground with a bashful smile on his face.
Upon your arrival to the spiral staircase that led to your common room, Cedric placed your snacks back in your arms and turned to bid you goodnight before you stopped him.
“You really should try it, you know,” you said before he could turn away to walk to the dungeons. “My sleeping method, I mean,” you handed him a packet of your favourite biscuits. “Here. They’re a personal favourite. Satisfaction guaranteed.” You winked as you turned to walk up the stairs.
With his cheeks aflame and his mouth gaping open, he knew he had to say something back. With all that he had in him at that moment, he tried his best to return to his normal, confident self instead of the flustered mess you always reduce him to.
“I’m holding you to that, then,” he called as he watched you ascend the stairs with slow steps. “Fifteen points from Ravenclaw if it doesn’t work.”
“That’s not going to hurt Ravenclaw’s chances at winning the house cup either, Diggory,” you laughed as you looked down at him. “And what if it does work?”
“Then the elves will have to make room for yet another student showing up at their door to ‘request nicely, hoping they don’t say no’ to stealing snacks from them every night.”
“I’ll let the elves know to make the arrangements, then,” you called as you slipped through the door finally, leaving a star-struck Cedric standing below. He turned the biscuit packet over in his hands before shaking his head fondly. He opened the packet at once, desperate to try the biscuits you were so fond of.
That night, when Cedric returned to his dormitory, stuffed full of the biscuits you’d gifted him, he slept soundly for the first time in two weeks.
It wasn’t a dreamless sleep, either. He dreamt of you all through the night.
–
It had been a week since he had learned what lay in store for him for the first task of the tournament. It had also been a week since he was last able to get a good night’s sleep – no matter how many chocolates he popped in his mouth.
Needless to say, over the past week, he also grew desperate to run into you again. Even more so than normal, which, admittedly, was already a hazardous amount.
He had tried paying the kitchen a visit every night since he first encountered you returning from it, but he never seemed to find you at the right time. There was a particular night on which he was so desperate that he actually resorted to asking an elf if you had visited that night. He’d worn a sheepish smile as the elf had only looked at him hesitantly before bidding him goodnight.
What Cedric had not been aware of, however, was that you had asked the same elf the exact same thing that same night. The elf was thoroughly confused, to say the least.
He was trying again tonight. He really needed to see you again tonight. You were the only person that could ease his nerves about the task tomorrow, while simultaneously making him flush with every little thing you said. It was like a drug.
He had arrived at the kitchen doors, raising his hand to knock before the door opened itself. He breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of you, once again laden with snacks that he was sure you already had a pile of under your bed.
“Diggory!” You exclaimed as your eyes lit up and Cedric tried to dismiss how his heart seemed to have skipped a beat. “Are you here to take fifteen points away from Ravenclaw?”
He chuckled at your question. “No,” he shook his head with a nervous smile. “Quite the contrary, actually. I’m ‘requesting nicely and hoping you don’t say no’ to me stealing those biscuits from you again.”
“Ah,” you nodded with amusement, handing him another packet of your favourites. “Satisfied customer, then?”
“Very,” he agreed, taking them. “Thank you.”
He took a deep breath to calm his nerves as he followed close behind you. Neither of you had to say anything to know that Cedric walking you back was part of the routine by now.
“Are you ready for the task tomorrow?” you asked, slowing a little so he could walk beside you through the winding hallways of the castle. You turned to study his face – the kind eyes, the worry lines on his forehead from, no doubt, worrying about the task, the golden locks that fell perfectly on his head despite it being so late.
“I hope so,” he sighed as he turned to look at you and shoot you a quick smile. He found – with much delight – that your presence had grown more so comforting than it was nerve wracking – and that was never something he ever thought he would be able to say.
“You are,” you affirmed with a nod. He breathed a laugh at how certain you were of what you were saying only to hide how full his heart really felt at the affirmation. “Do you know what it is yet?”
“Dragons,” he said simply. You waited for him to follow it up with a laugh to indicate he was joking before widening your eyes. “I know.” He half-smiled at your reaction. It had shocked him too.
“Wow,” you said as thoughts raced in your head. “What are you planning on doing?”
Cedric shifted uncomfortably at your question. He always prided himself on being brave, on being intelligent. Yet, somehow when it came to you, both of those thoughts dissolved into nothing. He had no idea if you would find his idea as ingenious as his friends did.
“I’ve always been quite good at Transfiguration,” he began slowly. “I was thinking of using that to my advantage. Perhaps if I transfigured a rock into – I dunno – a dog, maybe, then I could distract the dragon.”
He waited with bated breaths for you to say something. Your eyebrows were furrowed in thought as you analyzed his idea. “That’s brilliant, Cedric.” You said finally, with a thoughtful smile. It was certainly an inventive idea.
He couldn’t help but grin at your compliment, and his grin only grew as he realized you had used his first name. He loved how it sounded when it came from your mouth. “I trust I'll find you in the stands tomorrow, then?”
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world,” you grinned. You both halted as you arrived once again at the foot of the spiral staircase. You held his eyes for a second before leaning up on your toes to leave a small peck on his cheek. “For good luck,” you added cheekily, turning at once to climb the stairs.
Cedric blinked a few times in shock before bringing his hand up to his cheek, feeling the residual warmth of the kiss you had planted just seconds ago. He felt himself blush intensely as he watched you slip through the door into your common room. Only after you had vanished completely out of sight did he allow himself to break into a shit-eating grin.
He slept soundly that night once more, dreaming only of you, even when the threat of dragons loomed over his head.
Cedric knew he would be able to sleep just fine tonight if he went up to his dormitory. The roars of the party that was currently being held in the Hufflepuff common room wouldn’t even bother him. He had successfully completed the first task today, and he felt like he was on top of the world with his ornate golden egg.
Except, he could not stop thinking about you. He knew he needed to see you again.
He found himself smiling absentmindedly as he thought of you en route to the kitchen once again. He brought a hand to knock on the kitchen door excitedly, eager to see you again, to see what you had to say. He hadn't gotten a chance to talk to you at all today, despite spotting you in the stands immediately.
When an elf answered the door, he tried to dismiss how much his heart dropped. He was expecting to see you.
“Good evening,” he smiled politely to the elf. “I was wondering if you’ve seen [Y/N] tonight?”
“The Ravenclaw miss?” The elf frowned in confusion.
“Yes,” Cedric nodded with a fond smile playing on his lips. “Have you seen her tonight?”
The elf shook his head. “Not tonight, Mr. Diggory.”
He tried his best to mask his disappointment with a small smile. “I see. Thank you.”
He debated waiting outside the kitchen doors for you to turn up before deciding against it. That was probably a little creepy, right? Plus, seeing as the kitchens are right down the hallway from the Hufflepuff common room, he’d be running into too many of his friends in the meantime, anyway.
He knew that it had been a complete chance occurrence that night for him to run into you. It had allowed him to actually talk to you – beyond the curt words he’d exchanged with you in class. It allowed him to look at you as if he had all the time in the world – rather than stealing glances at you from the corner of his eye. It had allowed him to actually get to know you.
And, he found himself quickly realizing, chance events could only be relied on for gentle pushes in the right direction. In the end, he had to take his fate into his own hands. He had to grab his golden egg – he’d done it literally already. All he needed to do now was do it metaphorically.
He turned around and knocked for a second time on the kitchen door. When an elf answered the door – looking a little exasperated – Cedric wore his best apologetic smile.
“Can I get one of those biscuits, please? The ones the Ravenclaw miss likes?”
He set off at once towards your common room, with your favourite biscuits tucked in his arms.
He couldn’t wait for any more lucky run-ins with you anymore. He wanted to see you, and he was tired of waiting to run into you like he had on the previous two occasions.
“Padma!” He called as he spotted the fourth-year girl descending the spiral staircase.
“Yes?” She asked confusedly, unsure of what Cedric Diggory could possibly want from her at this hour.
“Is [Y/N] inside?” He asked. He knew how dishevelled he probably looked right now. After all, he had run from the other side of the school in the same uniform he had worn for the task this morning, with a bright blue packet of biscuits in hand. It wasn’t an ordinary sight.
Padma thought for a second, as if thinking back to remember every face she had seen on the way out of the common room. “I think so,” she concluded finally, remembering that she had seen you sprawled on a couch with a book in your lap.
“Can you get her for me, please?” He asked. Padma could sense the slight pleading tone in his voice as she gave him a quick nod and turned back to fetch you from inside the common room.
He looked around as she disappeared inside, trying to calm his beating heart for the second time that day. Somehow he’d successfully stolen the egg from right under the dragon’s nose – literally – today yet he found himself more nervous while waiting for you.
He knew the implications it carried, to ask for someone and wait outside their common room like this. You were bound to know now how he felt about you, how much he enjoyed being around you. He ran a hand through his hair quickly and tried to smooth out the honey-coloured top he was wearing before he heard you from the top of the stairs.
“Cedric!” you beamed as you spotted his familiar head of hair. You climbed down the stairs with a grin on your face and Cedric’s heart seemed to beat impossibly faster the longer he looked at you. He could never get enough of you saying his name like that. “I almost didn’t recognize you without that Swedish Short-Snout beside you.”
Cedric sent you a wry smile as you came to a stop in front of him. “I almost didn’t recognize you without all the food in your arms,” he retorted with newfound confidence.
“Is that why you have that?” you questioned with a raise of your eyebrows, gesturing towards the biscuits Cedric had long forgotten about.
“Oh,” he blinked. “Yes, um, they’re for you.” He held the packet out towards you with an attempted smile he really hoped was coming across as charming. It was hard to ignore the butterflies in your own stomach at the sight.
“Thanks,” your fingers brushed his and you almost chuckled at how quickly his cheeks flushed with an all-too-familiar red tinge. “Want me to walk you back?”
He raised a single eyebrow at your question before you added with a light nudge to his shoulder, “Evening strolls are customary at this point, right?”
He breathed a laugh at your remark – like he often found himself doing. He didn’t have it in him to protest. He wanted – no, needed – to spend every possible moment he could with you. The euphoria of this night was bound to wear off soon, he knew that. Tomorrow, he had to start worrying about the second task again. But walking with you, just as he had on that first night, always made his problems seem insignificant. And he needed that right now.
“So, what’s the deal with the golden egg?” you asked, reading his mind once again. He shook his head slightly in disbelief as a small smile crept to his face.
“No clue,” he answered honestly. “They make the most horrid shrieking sound whenever I try to open it. I’ve got no idea what it means.”
You hummed in response. “I could help you figure it out.”
Cedric sputtered, taken aback at your offer. Even his friends hadn’t offered to help him figure it out. “I would love that.” He told you gratefully, watching you closely for any signs of hesitation on your features. All he saw was genuinity.
“Tomorrow in the library, then? After supper?” You asked with a small smile. It was so endearing to watch his ears and cheeks redden.
“Yeah,” he breathed out quickly. “Tomorrow sounds great.” He couldn’t believe how he was still able to talk in coherent sentences.
“It’s a date, then,” you uttered with a sly smirk, holding his gaze.
He almost fell on his face, right then and there. Cedric thanked Merlin, then, for you two had finally reached the entrance to his common room, both of you coming to a halt. He wasn't sure if he would be able to walk after what you had just said. He blinked at you blankly before finding his voice. “Yes. Yes, it’s a date.”
You turned to leave with amused eyes at the boy’s reaction. Could he get any cuter?
Cedric had no idea what had possessed him. He hadn’t even had any firewhisky that night. But he found himself calling out to you anyway.
“Wait!” he called, making you turn around at once. Your curious eyes met his nervous ones and he walked closer to you. He had no idea what he was doing, but somehow the after-effects of all the adrenaline pumping through his body earlier today could still be felt twelve hours later. “I never got to thank you properly for your well wishes last night.”
“Oh?” you raised an eyebrow, your lips tugging upwards.
You tried to hide the absolute shock you felt when he leaned down to peck your cheek quickly. “As a thank you,” he clarified quickly. He watched carefully for your reaction, unsure if he should’ve done that or not.
It was safe to say you didn’t exactly mind.
Before he knew it, you were leaning up to press a chaste peck to his lips. He breathed in sharply as you pulled back to smirk at him. You had always been a competitive one.
“To congratulate you once again on your feat today,” you clarified wryly, watching him for any reaction so as to make sure you hadn’t overstepped.
It was safe to say you hadn’t.
Cedric didn’t take a moment to think before acting this time. He didn’t take a moment to gather his courage or analyze the best course of action. He acted on instinct, and instinct alone. And every instinct in his body was telling him to lean down again and crash his lips onto yours – properly this time.
So he did.
Cedric took his time kissing you with furrowed brows. The biscuits you so loved didn’t even come close to you. You tasted sweeter than any biscuit he’d ever had, any dessert that he’d ever tasted. He was sure that he could get addicted to the taste, to the feel. It wouldn’t really surprise him – he was already addicted to your presence.
You kissed him back with the same urgency, your hands wrapping around his neck to bring him even closer.
Pulling away slowly, he teased against your lips, “To thank you again for your heartiest congratulations.”
Your quip died on your tongue as cheers and whoops broke out in the background, forcing you two to break apart suddenly. You both turned to find Cedric’s friends watching this encounter with excited smiles and boyish eyes, standing in front of the entrance to the common room. Cedric’s mouth hung open a little as he wondered how he had missed them standing there. But then again, he had been a little preoccupied for the past minute or so.
“Atta boy, Diggory!” Trevor whooped, teasing him as you tried to smother a bashful smile of your own.
“Oh, sod off, Woods,” Cedric retorted with exasperation. “Go back inside, would you? I’m– I’m busy.”
“Oh,” Fairfield spoke up. “We can see just how busy you are, champ, not to worry.” Roars of laughter and whistles broke out again. “Come on, lads, we’ll bug him about it when he comes inside.”
“If he comes back inside at all tonight, that is!” More laughter.
Cedric cast a weak stinging hex at no one in particular as his friends all clambered back inside their common room. He turned to face you at once, possibly to apologize but you beat him to it.
“Here,” you told him with a knowing smirk, handing back the packet of biscuits. “I think you might be needing these more than I will tonight, champ.”
And, Merlin, you were right. He didn’t sleep a wink in his rowdy dormitory that night. Not that he minded though – thinking about all the real aspects of you that he had gotten to experience that night were even better than the dreams.

Tumblr media
cedric diggory x f!reader 2,733 words warnings; nothing except for fluff<3 summary; cedric diggory had an idea. that was never a good sign.
Tumblr media
 He was staring again.
Out from the corner of her eye, she could see the bluish-gray of his irises, a rosy cheek squished against the heel of his palm where it rested, the fingers of his other hand drumming against the top of his desk. She shifted in her seat, color growing in her cheeks as she tried to focus on what Professor Trelawney was saying. Alas, between Cedric’s eyes boring into the side of her skull and the tedious Divination lesson, her attempts were aimless.
Her fingers curled around the edge of her parchment, her fists tightening with the paper balled inside them, her face so hot she was certain her skin would break out in a layer of sweat any moment. He was planning something. She could feel it. The only problem was, she had no idea what could possibly be going on inside that head of his.
The realm of possibilities were endless, and she found herself tapping her own fingers against the top of her desk, her opposite hand absentmindedly scribbling notes onto her piece of parchment in an attempt to ignore him. From the corner of her eye, she could see a blur of black and yellow as Cedric moved, and she blinked up to where Professor Trelawney stood at the front of the class, her back now turned. Cedric was leaning over the aisle now, his Hufflepuff scarf dangling in front of his chest, ignoring the looks he was getting from Fred and George where they sat behind them.
She pouted. There was no way in hell the Weasley twins would let her live this down.
“Meet me in the South Wing at nine?” Cedric whispered in her ear and she narrowed her eyes, turning to eye his features. His lips were curved into a soft yet mischievous grin, a knowing glint in his eyes. Somehow, she had a strange feeling about this. “Nine o’clock?” She scoffed beneath her breath. “You are crazy, Cedric Diggory,” she shook her head. “You realize that I am not a prefect? I’ll be in trouble if I’m seen.”
Cedric tittered and leaned in even closer, his breath a whisper against the shell of her ear and creeping shivers down the coil of her spine. “You know I’ll take care of you,” he murmured, her cheeks flooding with warmth. “Don’t you trust me?”
It was then that the bells from outside began to chime, indicating that the period has ended, therefore finally, Divination was over. She practically sprung from her seat, nearly butting heads with Cedric as she pulled the strap of her bag over her shoulder, making haste towards the exit.
She began her descent down the ladder leading to the hallway outside the Divination classroom and as soon as her feet hit the ground, Cedric was calling her name. She picked up her pace, her robes flying behind her as she dashed down the corridor, making it as far as the top step of the staircase before his hand was latching around her wrist, tugging her back into him.
“Cedric,” she whined, turning to peer over her shoulder at him. He chuckled, “you’re awfully fast.” She huffed, blowing a strand of hair away from her face. “And somehow, not fast enough,” she muttered. Cedric’s grin widened and his hands rose between them, a few rolls of parchment spilling over his knuckles. “You forgot your notes.”
Her chest heaved when she sighed and snatched the parchment from his hands, stuffing them into the knapsack at her hip. “So… you’re meeting me in the South Wing at nine, yes?” He said, hopeful as he swiped his tongue between his lips, eyeing the way she gleaned down to her shoes. She exhaled again, leaning her shoulder against the wall as students passed by and Cedric, too, leaned into the wall, stuffing his hands in his trouser pockets, awaiting her answer. Unfortunately for her, she was a sucker for Cedric Diggory.
“Do I really have a choice?” She finally asked, pinching her bottom lip between her teeth as she looked back up at him, to which Cedric’s lips peeled to unveil his pearly whites, and he chuckled, shaking his head. “I’m afraid not,” he replied. “So, I take it I’ll see you then? Say… in the courtyard?”
Her shoulders droop in defeat, but when Cedric draws in closer to her body until his toes were teasing the top of hers, she knew she couldn’t stay upset for long. She gazed up at the Hufflepuff boy, and it was then that she realized just how close he was, his breath looming over her skin. Her cheeks burned and finally, she tore herself away, taking steps backwards down the staircase.
“I’ll see you tonight,” she confirmed. “But if I’m caught, I’ll never let you live it down, do you hear me, Diggory?”
Cedric rolled his eyes as he watched her venture further down the stairs, “you shouldn’t worry so much. You’re in good hands!”
Tumblr media
Sneaking to the South Wing after curfew proved to be a lot more difficult than she had initially anticipated. She wondered if Cedric chose tonight on purpose, if he somehow knew that Snape and Filch and Mrs Norris would be around almost every single corner. She huffed as she pressed herself further into the wall, hoping the shadows were doing enough to conceal her as Mrs Norris pranced by, thankfully not looking her way. She exhaled the breath she hadn’t realized she had been holding in as she turned into the– hopefully– empty corridor, looking around for Cedric.
 Where was that boy?
She stopped in front of the door leading to the Clock Tower Courtyard to turn and peer over her shoulder, narrowing her eyes as she searched the end of the corridor to make sure the course was clear. She pushed open the doors as carefully as she could to avoid making noise, hoping that Cedric would be somewhere on the other side, waiting for her. She guided the doors closed behind her, wincing as they latched closed, hoping she had been cautious enough to not attract any attention.
She turned and blinked around the dark, empty courtyard, the boy in question still nowhere in sight. Her chest heaved when she huffed, crossing her arms as frustration swelled inside of her. It wasn’t like him to be late, but it was likely he could be messing with her. Cedric always loved playing games, but it was late and the wind had a chill to it, and the idea that she could be caught by Professor Snape had her on the very edge.
She turned around on her heels and was so close to slipping back inside the castle, but before she could even get her hands on the doors, a pair of arms slithered around her waist and her feet were lifted from the ground, the hairs on her body standing erect. Her lips parted and she nearly screeched, and she would’ve if she hadn’t realized who it was holding her close, her eyebrows knitted together when she turned to face Cedric, balling up her fist to give him a not-so-kind knock against the chest.
“Merlin’s beard, Cedric, don’t sneak up on me like that!” She whined, narrowing her eyes when he laughed. “It’s not funny. You know you happened to choose the night where nearly the entire teaching staff is on the prowl?” Cedric only rolled his eyes as he pressed her back closer into his chest, swaying them back and forth as he buried his lips in her hair. “You underestimate Cedric,” he murmurs into the top of her head, “Cedric is a lot more than a pretty face, you know.”
She rolled her eyes and turned in his arms to face him and even in the dark of the night, she was still able to make out the gleam in his eyes. “I don’t know what you’re thinking,” she whispered, eyes surging into his, her lips twisting into a scowl. “But I already think I’m not going to like whatever it is.”
Cedric’s bottom lip jut out into a pout as she began to slip from her arms and he caught her hands before she could detach completely. “You’re no fun,” he groaned, squeezing her hands even tighter when she whined, trying to pull away. “But I’m going to prove you wrong.”
She pursed her lips, giving up her attempts to tug her hands away from his to once again gaze up into the slate grayness of his irises, illuminated with mischief. Despite his claims that she should feel otherwise, she had a terrible feeling about this.
“Cedric…” she trailed off as he began to tug her forward by the hand, leading her through the moonlit courtyard, dread creeping down her spine and making her insides churn. “...where are you taking me?” She asked, her glare like a dagger against the back of his head.
If he could feel her gaze, he paid it no mind.
He led her outside of the courtyard and past the walls surrounding the castle, leading her further into the black of the night. “Cedric,” she whined, shaking his arm until his stride fell to her pace, glancing to where she walked beside him. “It’s cold. You couldn’t have chosen somewhere indoors?” She asked as he led her further down the hill until he came to a stop and she turned to gaze at the moonlit water ahead of them.
And it was then that she realized where he had taken her.
“Cedric…” she murmured his name in a warning tone, eyeing him as wiggled his hand out of her grasp and knelt down to work at his shoes, tossing them off somewhere behind him. Her lips fell agape, “Cedric!” She shook her head. “You cannot be serious!”
Cedric’s lips only curved into a crescent, beaming at her as he rolled his socks off his feet and began to shoulder his robe off of him. “What’s wrong?” He tittered, cocking an eyebrow to his hairline. “Scared?”
She pressed her lips together in a firm line and crossed her arms over her chest, scoffing at the Black Lake, the moonlight rippling in its waving waters. “It’s freezing out here, Cedric,” she hissed between her teeth. “And there’s… there’s things in there.”
Cedric chuckled, “I should know. I had to swim it to rescue you for the task last month, remember?”
She scoffed again and rolled her eyes as Cedric finally stripped down to nothing but his undergarments, backpedaling towards the shore. “So? Are you coming?” He questioned, the water rolling around his ankles. She raised her eyebrows and scoffed, “you’re insane, Cedric Diggory,” she said, disbelieving the scene as it unraveled before her. She could still make out Cedric’s grin even as he waded further into the water until the lake swallowed his shoulders, leaving everything except for his head submerged. “Crazy! And there is no way that I am swimming in that freezing, creature-infested water!”
Cedric rolled his eyes and leaned his head back against the surface, somehow reveling in the icy cold lake as if it were a warm bath. She shivered, chills littering her skin with goosebumps partly due to the breeze but also from just watching him. “You needn’t worry,” Cedric said as he rose to his feet, droplets of water dripping from his arms and chest as he gave her a little salute. “Your knight in shining armor is he–!”
Her eyes widened in their sockets and her lips fell apart in a gasp as Cedric tumbled backwards as if something had grabbed ahold of him, tugging him below the surface. She stepped closer to the water, searching the surface for any sign of him, her search coming to no avail.
A string of panicked curses tumbled from her lips as she made quick work of ripping her shoes from her feet, quickly stripping her body of her clothes until she, too, was down to her underwear. Pursing her lips and puffing out her cheeks, she willed herself to wade into the water– which was just as cold as she had anticipated it to be. But Cedric still had not reappeared to the surface and she knew that if something had really grabbed him, it was only a matter of time until it was too late.
“Cedric!” She called his name, shivering as the water rose to her shoulders, ice frosting her limbs and making her muscles numb, every move she made harder than the last. “Cedric!” She called again, her feet no longer able to touch the sand below, her arms swinging as hard as they could to keep her head above the surface. Her heart began to drum against her chest– how long had it been since Cedric had been dragged down under? Was he alright? Was he still able to breathe?
She squeezed her eyelids shut, trying to muster up all the courage she had to will herself below the surface despite her fears of whatever lurked beneath, despite how cold she was. Just as she had begun to take a deep breath, something latched around her ankle and dragged her down below the water, completely submerging her. Her mouth parted to release her scream as she snapped her eyelids open, still somehow to make out Cedric’s grin even below the surface of the dark lake.
She furrowed her brows as he circled his arms around her waist, trying to sneak his lips onto hers as she kicked and flailed, bringing them both back up to the surface. She gasped as air filled her lungs, her cheeks warm with anger as she watched Cedric brush his hair back away from his face, laughing as she pushed water into his face.
“You are such an arse!” She shrieked, her body trembling as the breeze hit her wet skin. “I thought something had you! I thought… I thought you were… ugh!” She kicked her way to an area where her feet could touch the ground, crossing her arms back over her chest as she turned away from him, glaring up at the castle. Cedric chuckled as he made his way over to where she stood, slithering his arms around her waist and dropping his chin to her shoulder, giving the wet flesh of her neck a few playful kisses.
“Awe, are you mad at me?” He cooed close to her ear and she pressed her lips together tighter, yet, allowing herself to fall back into his warmth. Cedric pouted, planting more kisses along the curve of her shoulder. “Please don’t be mad at Cedric,” he said, knocking the pitch of his voice up a few octaves. “Cedric isn’t a bad boy. Cedric loves you very much.”
She rolled her eyes again but couldn’t suppress the smile creeping up on her lips, breathing out a laugh. “You’re such an idiot, Cedric Diggory,” she tittered, twisting in his arms, his interlocked hands now pressing against the small of her back. She rested the sides of her fists against the slick skin of his chest as his forehead dropped against hers, scrunching his nose at her. “But because of my brilliant plan, you got in the water,” he muttered, shrugging his shoulders as he gently swayed their bodies back and forth. “So, you know, I’m not a total idiot.”
She scoffed, but it came out as more of a laugh as he nuzzled his nose against hers, breathing in her scent, drawing her body closer to his. “This is nice,” he murmured, pressing a soft kiss beneath her eye. She shrugged, “I could do without the ‘freezing my arse off’ part.”
Cedric chuckled and the tip of his nose dragged down along her cheek until his lips were against hers, gentle as they captured them in a soft, chaste kiss, the pad of his thumb soothing over the skin at the small of her back. Her heart stuttered in her chest as they pulled away, and she blinked up at him, reveling in the reassurance that she was in her boy’s arms, and he wasn’t going to let her go.
With her still in his arms, he kicked back off the ground, leading her further into the lake. “It’s a beautiful night,” he whispered, brushing wet strands of hair away from her face and behind her ear. “Let’s enjoy it.”

(after dating)
— you want to go out to hogsmeade alone? he follows you on the marauders map or insists he comes with you.

"Hello, darling," Cedric greets you as he walks over you where you were reading on the couch.
"Hi, Ced!"
He had gone out for something for a few minutes and his parents were running errands.
"How's the book?"
"Oh, it's wonderful! It's so beautifully written," you inform him.
"I'm glad, I'm also sorry to put a pause on your reading," he says as he takes the book from your hands, marks the page, and places it down.
His takes your hands in his and pulls you off of the seat.
"What are we doing?"
"You'll see, sweetheart," he smiles.
"Hm, okay," you shrug and grin at his excited state.
He pulls you outside by the garden and you follow him as you walk up a hill.
"Jeez, Ced, you should have told me we were gonna work out," you laugh.
"Don't worry, angel, we are almost there"
You finally make it to the top and you see a small field surrounded by flowers with a basket and snacks set up in the middle. The sun was setting and the sky was painted with colors that make is look unreal.
"Oh, wow, Cedric this is beautiful!"
"Hm, almost as beautiful as you," he winks. Your cheeks heat up, even though you've been dating for over a year, he still has that effect on you.
"Honestly, this is perfect. Thank you," you smile and sit with him on the blanket.
"No need to thank me, love"
"You have got all of my favorites," you could have cried.
"I had to have the favorites for my favorite person," he passes you a bouquet with flowers he hand picked and arranged.
"Cedric, you are too good to me"
"Only because you deserve the world, my love"
You were sat in between his legs as you rest your back on his chest. He cast a spell to play some quiet music in the back, he knows how you prefer to do things with music or some type of background noise.
You both were eating some strawberries as you watched the sunset and talked.
Your boyfriend was truly perfect.

"my white dress is getting wet, and your lips taste like vanilla..."
.
the heat was ruining you all summer.
bright rays the sun sent out through the window of the diggorys home blinding you as you slip your white summer dress on
the heat didn't even creep up on you as sweat stayed put on your pores and your face gave a sheen
as you made your way downstairs and heard pots and pans shifting, remembering the fact that you were going over to the Weasleys for lunch, making your way to the kitchen you saw Mrs.Diggory taking that opportunity as she washed the dishes
you leaned your head against the doorway and closed your eyes and let the cold fan run over you, just for a colder hand to be placed on your shoulder.
you melted into it as your eyes dizzily opened to see Cedric. he grinned, leaning down to kiss you as his mom scolded him
"help me out with these dishes, Ced." she sighed, wiping her hands on a rag as Cedric moved towards the sink without hesitation
"So.." you start,
"Do the Weasleys have a pool by any chance?" you question, slightly begging for a yes, jumping into cold water sounds like a dream right now.
you got a sympathetic smile from Cedrics' mother as she shook her head
"afraid not, but there's a lake close to their home...sure that's about as hot as the air though."
you almost winced at her answer, closing your eyes again as the sticky heat molded to your body
"Is it..." you heard Cedrics voice question, your eyes shot open and saw his squinting in front of the kitchen window above the sink
"raining?"
you gasped, running over to him as you poked your head to see for yourself. blue sky foggy and the grass lush as rain sprinkled everywhere, you let a surprised laugh escape your lips and rushed outside with Cedrics' hand in yours
you giggled when the warm rain met your skin, the humidity dying down as the thin rain coated you and the sky was no longer golden but a deep blue
you ran in the slippery rain as it relished in the drink just as much as you did, you turned to pull Cedric closer as the grin never left both of your lips
you moved to lock your lips together as the taste of vanilla flooded your tongue, your fingers slid easily on his hair to bring him closer as the summer blessed you with rain.

Hi there!! Could I request Cedric x female Hufflepuff Reader where he flirts with her and she gets all flustered and fluff ensues?
𝕮𝖊𝖉𝖗𝖎𝖈 𝕯𝖎𝖌𝖌𝖔𝖗𝖞
"Mornin' bug" the outstretched hand of your boyfriend, Cedric, narrowly misses smacking you in the face as he yawns and stretches. Last night you had accidentally fallen asleep pressed right up against him, and though your mind was too sleep hazed to process it then, it was most definitely processing the embarrassment now.
His face was so close to yours as he muttered about this weird dream he had, and though you were sincerely trying to listen your mind was too busy running rampant. Helga, he's pretty. And despite his morning breath you still want to kiss him. His arm is holding you to him firmly, and if he can't see the blush coating your cheeks because of your own brain, he can most certainly feel the heat radiating off of them instead.
But instead of being your knight in shining armour, he takes it as his mission to further your flustered misery.
"Where's my morning kiss, bug, hmm?" he taps the side of his cheek expectantly, watching in amusement as you scrunch your eyes shut and do Godrick-knows-what to try and calm your racing heart. But he's still not done. Not yet at least.
"D'ya like it in my bed? All cosy and snuggly? Must admit, it's the best sleep I've had in a long time, sunshine. We should do this again"
And the reminder sets you off. Cheeks flaming and heart racing as you think about how this is the first time you've shared a bed. For a night. Properly cuddled even. Oh Helga! You're in his dorm! In his bed! With him! What will people say, what will they suspect?!
A pained noise leaves your throat and your hand freezes in mid air, half trying to hide your face and somehow make this all be a wonderful dream, and half trying to push him away a little. His presence is suffocating you in a good way. And you like it. But you don't like that you like it.
Your abysmal decision making skills makes him laugh and he decides to give it up. Sitting up, he pulls the blanket off of the both of you. "You're fine, bug. I promise." he tells you, bringing you in for a comforting hug where he squeezes you tight. Grounding.
He has you sat on his lap and facing him with the way he was hugging you, not that you're in any position to notice with how fast your mind is going. "And i'm sorry for teasing... will you look at me now?" his hand pries your own away from your face, letting him get a good look at you. The eye contact somehow seems to ground you even more, and your thoughts slow to a pace where you can finally make them out.
"Are you going to speak to me now?" his smile is small, because if he truly smiles then he won't be able to hold back the laugh he's been holding down.
"Morning, Ced"

what jealous Cedric would be like…
slu7formen’s masterlist | cedric diggory masterlist
Okay but, Cedric was not actually jealous.
Of course, he doesn’t like it when guys are too close to you but, he was fine with you having as many friends as you want so… there was no need to be jealous about anyone.
But oh, if we talk about that Ravenclaw guy.
He was in the same year as you, and as far as he knew, you and him were partners in potions. Cedric saw him many times around you, walking next to you or exchanging notes you wrote during class, but didn’t actually know the guy’s name.
Your boyfriend didn’t pay much attention to it until one week you started to spend too much time with him —not actually that much time but it felt like a century to Ced, since he wanted you around all the time— because of a project. Now the problem wasn’t that, the problem was, that guy wouldn’t leave you alone.
He would walk behind you with the excuse of discussing something about the project but it was so obvious that he just wanted to talk to you and spend time with you but of course: that didn’t happen when Cedric was around.
It almost was as if your boyfriend was a shield to his failed attention seeker mission.
Cedric knew how guys worked, even though he never wanted to steal someone’s girl, he obviously noticed when someone tried to steal his girl. And he didn’t like it.
So, he waited for you to get out of class, as he often did, but not only with the purpose of seeing you, but seeing him.
That shiny black haired bastard with his bright perfect smile and sharp jawline was laughing about something funny you said as you stepped out of the classroom. None of you noticed Cedric’s presence just three meters away from you.
His jaw slightly clenched when he immediately noticed the desperate desire of that guy for you to stay with him and talk, when you tried to leave. He had grabbed your wrist, forcing you to turn around to him again. Was he dumb? Was he dumb enough to really think that he could have a chance with you when you had a boyfriend?
And even if you didn’t have a boyfriend, why was he so insistent!?
Cedric couldn’t deny that maybe if you were single, his now handsome enemy would be the perfect match for you; he was truly good looking… but come on, who could beat Cedric? No one, to your eyes. He almost felt insecure about himself as he walked towards you and saw the Ravenclaw’s face closer and closer, if you hadn’t told him a million times how perfect he was while kissing his lips the night before, and as many nights as you could.
He took big yet small steps towards the two of you. Your back was turned to him, so you slightly jumped when a big and heavy arm smoothed over your shoulders. “Ced” you smiled when you saw him, an instant relief drawing your face “You scared me” you said while placing a hand over your chest.
“M’ sorry, love” he replied, trying to make the last word extra clear, his signature smirk on his rosy lips as he looked down at you, but a sharp looking stare at your friend when he looked forward, right into his eyes. “And you are…?”
His tone was nice… but still a little, poisonous, as if his words had a slight glimpse of venom or acid, falling right into his victim’s cheeks, which blushed with embarrassment. His posture immediately changed as he introduced himself to your boyfriend, and you looked at the both of them, confused.
Cedric was big next to him. His large figure and height out stood your potions partner’s with ease as his arm was still around you, and your friend walked away shyly, muttering something about seeing you around, and then cursing to himself as he disappeared into the crowd of students.
You pushed Cedric’s arm back, as you looked at him with frowned brows, your neck slightly going up to look at his whole face.
“What was that about?”
“What was what?” he played dumb. You rolled your eyes.
“Ced…”
“I don’t like him” his voice interrupted you as he crossed his arms over his chest, taking another dominant position, this time to you. “He’s looking for your attention, and he tries too hard”
You noticed the jaw clench as his mouth closed, and you shook your head slightly, squinting your eyes and letting a small smile show from behind your lips.
“Are you jealous?” you asked.
He scoffed, turning his head to the left, as if something interesting was happening towards that direction. You laughed this time.
“Oh my God! You totally are” you took his hands as he rolled his eyes. His body followed yours as your feet took a step back, dragging your boyfriend to you as your back hit the cold wall behind you. Cedric would never admit he was actually jealous, but it felt good to you to know that he was, so he kept it that way just so you could keep smiling. “Why?”
“I told you, I don’t like him. Whenever you are alone, he comes right after you. Like you are his prey or something” his hands played with your fingers before he felt your lips press into his red cheek, you knew how much he loved those kisses.
“Then don’t leave me” you pleaded and whispered to his ear. He blushed at your voice tone as you pulled him by the arm, already taking a new direction to somewhere he didn’t know yet. “I need some help with a few books at the library, will you help me? Maybe I could snatch the jealousy out of your system”
Cedric smiled, he knew exactly what library meetings were.
“Yes, ma’am”

a/n: dear reader, thank you so much for following this series - i never imagined you would like it so much. i hope you enjoy this final fic, and please do reblog if yes! i’m sad to leave ceddie and harry, but i like how i've ended it :)
The morning after Cedric’s surprise party, you’re woken up by the soft sunlight streaming in through the huge windows of the Hufflepuff common room. Lifting your head up, you hear Cedric grumble, arms tightening around you. The scene feels so cozy that you don’t want to return to reality - but there’s a Herbology midterm coming up, and you’ve never been a natural at the subject, unlike a certain Hufflepuff. And so, you begin extricating yourself from Cedric’s embrace, which is no easy feat.
“How’s it feel to be seventeen, Ceddie?”
You get a groan in response.
“Alright, alright, then you stay put, but I’ve got to go study. I’m not a genius like you,” you tease, squirming in your efforts to slide out of his grasp.
“‘M not a genius, Y/N/N. You help me all the time. Don’t go, I know you’re ready for it, you don’t need anymore studying,” comes a sleepy protest.
“Mm… thank you for your confidence, but I assure you I am not in the least prepared. And what is all this bad advice coming from a prefect,” you raise an eyebrow, before finally slipping out of Cedric’s arms, and standing up immediately to avoid being pulled back in.
You feel the loss of Cedric’s warmth around your shoulders, and it weakens your resolve far more than it should, so you figure you need to leave as soon as possible, before grey eyes melt you into a puddle and back into his chest.
“Oh, fine. Leave me right after spending the night,” Cedric jokes, fully awake at last. He chuckles at the flush on your cheeks from this statement, and dodges your hit to his arm. “Just kidding, darling. Thank you for the party. Now go do what you have to do, I know you’re a busy girl.”
You smile softly, before tiptoeing up to ruffle his hair, and turn to leave. The gray eyes don’t leave you until you’re fully out of sight.
******
Climbing through the portrait hole, you see Ron and Harry sitting on the carpeted floor in front of the hearth, playing Wizard’s Chess, and Hermione engrossed in a book on the nearby couch. The scene is so familiar and comforting that it brings an involuntary smile to your face, before you wipe it off, the fight replaying in your head.
Ron is the first to see you, freezing mid-check, and gives a weak wave. Harry turns, and so does Hermione, with the former also stiffing up, and the latter offering a sweet smile. Hermione then looks back, and, finding the two boys silent, rolls her eyes, and jerks her head in your direction, glaring at them.
Spurned, Ron and Harry stand up, and walk over, looking so dejected that you almost feel sorry for them.
“Y/N - it’s nice to see you again,” Ron begins, his expression sheepish. Harry nods to echo the sentiment.
“We just wanted to apologize for that night. For the mean things we said. None of it was true, and it was of no fault on your end,” Ron confesses.
Your eyes soften, and give him a pat on the shoulder, “thanks Ronnie. And I expect you’ve said the same to ‘Mione?” giving him a pointed look, to which he nods fervently. At this, you offer a smile at last, and seeing this, Ron seems to realize he’s forgiven.
“I’ll give you two some space then,” he says, guiding Hermione away, and leaving Harry alone with you in the Gryffindor Common Room.
Harry gestures for you to sit, and the two of you settle in on the carpet.
“Y/N/N - I’m really, honestly sorry. I had no right to say what I said, and I’ve felt horrid about it every day since then. I know you’ll always have my back, and some Yule Ball date would never change that. I hope you’ll forgive me,” the black haired boy finally blurts, the words spilling out of him.
Your resolve crumbles. I mean, this is Harry. One of your best friends. You could never stay mad at him, no matter how much he messes up. It’s like he said: you have each other’s backs. So you lean forward and hug him, breathing in the smell of broom polish and treacle toffee that you had missed incredibly, feeling the boy physically relax into your touch.
“You really like him, don’t you?” Harry chimes, as you pull out of the hug.
“Yes, I do. And I hope you’re okay with that,” you share, crimson spilling onto your cheeks.
Harry nods, a grin spreading across his face, “I am, really. I know I acted in jealousy at the ball, but I don’t think I’ve ever actually felt romantically towards you - not that you’re unlikeable, you know, just -”
You laugh out loud, cutting him off, and offer a nod, “I get it, don’t stress yourself out, mate.”
He nods in relief, “you’re my best friend, Y/N/N, and that’s it. I love our relationship, and I do not want it to ever change.”
You nod, feeling better than you have in nearly a month.
Ron and Hermione choose that exact moment to enter the room, the guilt of eavesdropping written on their faces. But you’re far too happy to care - the gang’s back together.
******
Over the next month, life returns to normal, or rather, a new normal. Hermione is hanging out with Krum as much as possible, to make the most of their time together before the tournament ends and he returns to Durmstrang. You don’t see her nearly as much anymore, but it’s understandable.
Instead, you spend your days either studying out on the greens with Harry and Ron, or hanging out with Cedric, going to Hogsmeade’s various little cafes.
The second tournament task comes along, and you, Hermione, and Ron are pulled into the headmaster’s office then sent to the bottom of the Black Lake. When you awake, Cedric is treading water to keep the two of you above the lake, and you’re quickly pulled out and given a warm towel. Since Cedric finished first, the two of you rest in the champion seating section, and the boy keeps asking you if you’re okay, despite your fervent exclamations that you’re probably doing better than he is.
His friends soon surround him, arriving with endless teasing about how you’re the person “he’ll sorely miss,” and Cedric flushes scarlet at their words, refusing to meet your eyes. Eventually, he manages to shove them all away, and looks down to see you grinning.
“Ced, just so you know, I would’ve sorely missed you too,” you admit, before pressing a quick kiss to his lips.
Suddenly, Cedric could care less about his friends. He feels warm and dry and cozy, not a trace of the Black Lake’s eeriness on his mind.
******
A few weeks later, and it’s your birthday. Cedric had wracked his brain for ways to top your surprise party for him, and enlisted the help of the trio to do so. Hermione contributed all your likes and dislikes: she knew you like the back of her hand; Ron got Fred and George to put together a little sparkler show for you, and Harry was in charge of inviting all your closest friends.
The day of, you wake up to Cedric’s voice, before he gives you five minutes to pick an outfit, then promptly blindfolds you and leads you out to the courtyard, where the cutest picnic party had been set up. You laugh in delight, ecstatic, and after a quick kiss for Ced, rush over to meet up with your friends.
As you catch up over drinks with them, two boys, one Gryffindor, one Hufflepuff, are standing a distance away, both looking at you with slight smiles.
Soon, the sky is darkening and the party growing more and more uproarious. You spin around to see Harry and Cedric talking, and grin. Strolling over, you place an arm around each. Cedric kisses your hair, and you give Harry a tight hug.
“Thank you for all of this,” you say, “seriously. I’ve never been happier.”
Before they can reply: you were never one for cheesy emotions, you (forcibly) pull them toward the karaoke machine, where Ron and Hermione are singing their hearts out.

Moonlit Confessions 🌙
Tumblr media
A Cedric Diggory x Fem!reader fic.
Hey guys! This is my first time ever writing a fic. I've been reading fanfics for almost 5 years now, but was either too lazy or didn't get the courage to post my work. Constructive criticism is appreciated but please don't be mean...it's my first time so it'll likely suck 😅 Do give suggestions on how I can improve<3 A huge thanks to @queer-n-here for helping me out with some of the dialogues and plot suggestions. Go check them out!!!
(The reader is a "Prewitt" which is one of the sacred 28 pureblood families. Much like Weasleys as they too don't care about their pureblood status.)
Warnings: none. This is just pure fluff ^w^

The moon was brighter then ever, as the soft wind blew playing with the locks of your hair. You stood by a large window of the library, waiting for him. But the serenity of the night sky had tranced you in it's beauty, so much so that you didn't even notice Cedric when he entered.
“The moon is beautiful, isn't it?”
You snapped out of your daze as you stepped back, startled.
“How long have you been here?” you asked with a surprised smile.
"Not long."
He replied with a smile, there was a faraway look in his eyes with a hint of excitement?....or was it mischief? but there was something about his expression you couldn't place your finger on.
"By the way, did you figure out the clue yet?" He asked.
"Not yet, that thing screams every time I open it. I'm surprised, it hasn't made me deaf yet." Your said, earning a chuckle from him.
Cedric had asked you for help with the golden egg he had got hold of in the first round of Triwizard tournament. He only trusted you with it. You and Cedric had known each other since you were practically babies. It was because both your parents were childhood friends as well.
"Then do we atleast have a lead?" He asked with an hopeful expression.
"Please don't tell me you owled that note saying, "Come to the library ASAP" just to show me a rock you found by the lake side again that was shaped like a pygmy puff." He teased.
"Oh shush, I did that when I was eleven! And the rock was cute."
"You haven't changed one bit, have you?" He shook his head chuckling.
You simply rolled your eyes with a small smile, "I do have a theory though."
Cedric crossed his arms as leaned against the wall with a curious expression, "Enlighten me, then."
"What if the scream was of the next creature you have to fight against? Just like the dragons?" You said walking towards a table which had two books you had picked out as you handed one to him. "We can try to figure out the possible creature you might have to fight against."
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." Cedric read the title out loud, "I feel like vicious would've been a better way to describe them." He added with an airy chuckle.
"Don't say that in front of someone who wants to be a magizoologist." You said with a playful glare.
"To you even an Erumpent is just as cute as a puppy." He replied with a teasing smile.
Cedric pulled out a chair for you and helped you get seated as he sat in front of you.
"Since when did you become such a gentleman?" You teased.
"Well, I can't help but channel my inner gentleman around you. Just trying to set the bar high, you know?" He replied with his classic smirk.
You raised an eyebrow, "Just around me? Are you sure you're allowed to say that with all your fangirls eavesdropping on our conversation?"
He loved this banter that they had. You were the only one on whom his charms wouldn't work and he took it as a challenge to change that.
"Well, it'll be easier to let them know I'm taken that way." He replied with a flirty smirk.
You rolled your eyes acting like it didn't bother you but your cheeks were dusted with the lightest shade of pink. It was barely visible but didn't go unnoticed by Cedric that was what he needed, a signal that he does affect her.
He rested his head in his arms as he smiled sweetly at you. "You look cute when you blush like that~"
"You're not the first one who said that to me." You replied with a sassy smirk, though internally you had melted in a puddle of blushing mess.
Cedric though smiling, visibly tensed at that reply.
"Haha, I guess I'll have to try harder to come up with compliments that leave you speechless then. Challenge accepted, and I think it'll be an easy win for me as it's hard not to compliment someone as adorable as you, even if it's been said before." He replied with a wink.
"We'll see about that." You replied with a small smile. "But for now, let's focus on the task, shall we?"
Cedric nodded, "So, that scream is well terrifying to say the least...could it be a Banshee?" He said pointing at the text under the image.
"A Banshee is a female spirit in Irish folklore who heralds the death of a family member, usually by screaming, wailing, shrieking, or keening." You read out loud.
"Well I don't think so, I mean, whose death are we talking about here? There aren't any dementors here anymore. But we can't completely rule out the possibility as the Triwizard Tournament which was held in 1792, had one of the tasks involving catching a cockatrice. However, the beast went on a rampage and injured three of the judges, the Head of Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. I read that in Hogwarts, A History." You added.
"Really? But don't you think that after this tragic incident the authorities would be more careful?" Cedric asked curiously.
"Hmm. You do have a point...so perhaps it's a siren?" You thought out loud.
"Maybe? I read somewhere that a sirens scream can deafen a man and transform a woman into one of them." Cedric replied.
The two of you searched the entire Magical Creatures section of the library for an hour, but there wasn't much of a lead. Finally, Cedric suggested to take a break to go get some fresh air.
You both walked towards your usual spot near the lake. The moonlight illuminated the crystal clear waters of the lake, casting shimmering reflections that danced upon the surface with an ethereal grace, as if the night itself had decided to paint upon the canvas of the water.
As you both sat on the shore, you saw a really cute rock. "Ced, look! this looks like a Fwooper"
He simply chuckled, "Are you sure you wanna become a magizoologist? You could become naturalist considering your never-ending pile of rock collection."
"Well I love cute rocks, but I love animals more. All the rocks I have collected look like some sort of animal." You replied.
Cedric nodded, "So we have the next Newt Scamander in making. I see." He replied with a smile.
"Do you have the golden egg with you right now?" He asked randomly.
"Yeah why?"
"I wanna see if there are any marks or symbols carved on it that can give us a clue? Or perhaps help us understand that scream in a way?" He replied.
"That's a good idea." You replied as you opened your side bag, as you rummaged through its contents. But it was a bit hard because of the extending charm you'd used on it. Finally giving up with a frustrated sigh you took out your wand.
"Accio, golden egg." You casted the spell making the egg fly out of your bag and landing on the ground with a thud which opened it.
A ear piercing scream filled up the quite night, as the egg vibrated from the sound and fell into the lake.
You stood their horrified your hands trying to shut your ears.
"Holy Merlin!" Cedric exclaimed as he took his shirt off and jumped into the lake.
Expecting to hear the screams he was surprised to hear a melodious voice instead.
"Come seek us where our voices sound,
We cannot sing above the ground,
And while you're searching ponder this;
We've taken what you'll sorely miss,
An hour long you'll have to look,
And to recover what we took,
But past an hour, the prospect's black,
Too late, it's gone, it won't come back."
As he closed the egg and got out of the lake, he had an excited smile on his face which confused you.
"This things scream changes into a song underwater!" He replied with a grin.
Your eyes sparkled as you smiled, "It's Mermish! That means the next task has Merpeople involved. It's likely gonna be an underwater task!" You replied.
"We finally figured it out!" you said as you hugged him excitedly, but pulled away sheepishly when you realised that he was still drenched and half naked. You looked away embarassed and blushing heavily.
"Like what you see?" He teased.
"Just get dressed for Merlin's sake!" You replied, earning a chuckle from him.
Tumblr media
The next few days were spent trying to figure out this what was the most valuable thing that the Merpeople would steal from him.
"What is it that you cherish the most, that you can't live without?" You asked.
"Uh...I don't know." The look that he gave you said otherwise though.
"Oh c'mon Ced! What is it?"
"You're asking the wrong question. Instead of what it should be who." He replied with a soft smile.
"What do you mean?... Who is it?" You asked confused.
"I would let you figure that out." He replied, chuckling at her obliviousness.
"Ced! please!"
"I've got Potions now, better get going before Snape gets all cranky." He replied with a smile. "Good luck with your little quest!" He added winking before he left.
You sighed as you hugged the books closer to your chest.
"Hey Y/N! I was just wondering if you're still up for the study session today?" Cho Chang asked startling you, making you drop your books clumsily.
"Oh shoot, I'm sorry I'm such a klutz." You apologized embarrassed as Cho helped you pick up your books.
"Don't be! I'm sorry I startled you." She replied with a smile.
That's when you noticed a book in her hand that you hadn't seen before. "What's it about?" you asked pointing at it.
"Oh this! It's a Japanese muggle comic, it's called a Manga."
"That explains why I haven't heard of it...so what's the plot for this one?"
"Girl! Have you been residing in a broom cupboard at the top of the Astronomy Tower? It's a period comic and it's literally so famous even the wizarding world knows about it! I've been obsessed with this, there's this really handsome guy who just confessed to his love interest! I'm so happy!!" Cho replied with an excited smile.
“The moon is beautiful, isn't it?” you read out loud. "How is this a love confession?" You asked confused.
"This phrase is a more poetic way of saying I love you. It's meant to express love indirectly, since in Japanese culture earlier it was considered rude to directly state your feelings or needs." Cho explained.
"Anyways I got to go now, don't forget about the study sessions! Also I have quite a collection of mangas if you want, you can borrow them. Muggle writers have really good imagination." She said as she waved you goodbye.
Suddenly everything clicked, as you were reminded of what Cedric said a few days ago. A soft blush formed on your cheeks.
"I guess...I figured it out, Ced." You mumbled to yourself with a smile.
