Dick: I don't know why people think I'm bisexual.
Selina: Wait, are you not bisexual?
Dick: No.
Tim: Well then why are you sitting like that?
Dick, sat in a ridiculous position: What?
Selina: You're sitting very bisexual-ly.
Dick: That- that's not a thing.
Tim: Also, the way you greet people is super bi.
Selina: Wait, how does he greet people?
Dick: *finger guns* Howdy.
Selina: Oh my god, that's so bi.
Dick: They're not real guns.
Tim: That's not- Wait, are you wearing a NASA shirt?
Dick: What's gay about NASA?
Tim: Nothing's gay about NASA.
Selina: But a lot is bi about NASA.
Tim: Specifically the apparel.
Selina: More specifically the people wearing the apparel.
Tim: *nods*

I love the "came back wrong" trope but from the opposite side.
Imagine you are dead. And then you are RIPPED from the embrace of decay into the world of the living again. Your memories are hazy and you don't recognize any of these people, but they act like they're close to you? Like they love you? So you try to get your memories back, to act like you belong here, but everybody tries to forget you died. And you can't. It is omnipresent. And just trying to grapple with that fact pushes the people who "love" you away, and they're incapable of understanding, and they're so confused, what's wrong N̶̄̀O̶͛͗T̷̉́ ̷͋͝Y̴̎̌Ȍ̴̈U̸̓R NÄM̴̃͑E̵̾̇? And you just need them to understand, you aren't that person! You aren't! You don't know who that person is! You don't know why any of this is happening, but they're unwilling to bend, they keep insisting you are that person, your memories will come back, everything will be normal again, and you want to scream and cry and claw yourself open to show them you're different. Your existence as a being wholly separate from whoever you "used to be" is a sin unto itself. All you can do is scrabble for life and to them, you're killing whoever they loved to do it.
just. lots of fun in that concept, you know?

"We're together in every universe" this "we'll always find eachother" that. What about this is the only universe that we're together in. What about there is no other way this could have worked. What about this is the only place that we have found each other. And goddamn it if we aren't going to make the most of it.

Want quick tips to add instant chemistry to the relationships of your characters??
(🥳With examples🥳)
First of all, I want to say that you can also use most of them for platonic/ non-romantic relationships, so feel free to use this tips however you think they might work better in your story. So, without further adue, let's get to the tips!!!
Make your characters LISTEN to each other. Like, if A tells B they're not a morning person, B could make some coffee for A or lower the volume of their alarm.
This might sound quite obvious, but show that you characters care for each other. It might be as simple as one of them giving the other a glass of water when they feel a little dizzy, but it works wonders!
Make your characters physically close. When you are emotionally close to someone, you tend to be physically close too. But here is the thing. Make your characters react like it's second nature: "how would I not hug B when I haven't seen them in days?" or "Of course I'm gonna take A's hand when I feel insecure".
They don't have to be constantly thinking about each other, but when they do, MAKE IT MATTER!! For example, character A is out shopping, and they see B's favorite cookies. B didn't have a good day, and A knows that. But A also knows B is gonna fucking love the cookies, so they buy some.
Let them believe and trust each other. Also applies if one of them is a little distrustful: let your characters rely on one another, even if at the start they aren't as comfortable doing it. For a distrustful character, letting the other one help with chores might be a HUGE thing.

I love Rosie's and Alastor's dynamic.
Rosie 100% knows that Alastor is aroace. Romance is her thing. He doesn't have a single trace of it.
But Alastor doesn't because he simply doesn't know that it's a thing.
He thinks that other people are weird about sex and romance. It's such a simple and, in his opinion, dumb weakness. Easy to use for manipulation.
A guy gets rejected in public
Alastor: HA HA HA, sucks to be him I guess. Not that I care!
Rosie: Now now, Alastor. That must have been quite devastating for that gentleman!
Alastor: It's hell, Rosie! Where the violent, sexually deprived brutes live!
Rosie: Naw, that's not the only kind of people who come here! You know I support your lack of interest for the subject of romance, but I don't appreciate making fun of one of the things I am best at!
Alastor: 😀 What?

🗡️ “Do not stray far from me.”
I don’t want you to get hurt 🗡️ protective dialogue prompts
“What in the gods’ holy names was that?! I–We could’ve lost you.”
“At the party C sort of kept cornering me…” “What? Are you okay? Did they do anything to you?”
“Stay back.”
“Who did this to you? I just want to talk to them.” (that’s a LIE AND THEY KNOW IT)
“The idea of you getting hurt doesn’t sit well with me.”
“I don’t like the things they said about you. You’re nothing like what they think you are.”
“I’m not going anywhere until I know you’re okay.”
“My duty is to ensure your safety at all times, no matter the cost to my life.”
“If you dare lay a finger on their head, I will have yours served on a silver platter.”
“These walls are meant to protect you, the world out there is far too dangerous for someone like you.” (villain arc??? 👀)
“I’m right here. You’re safe.”
“Say my name and I will be there. I promise.” (thank you daredevil for inspiring this one)
“I’ll take a sword through the heart before they ever reach you.”
“I should’ve been there. This shouldn’t have happened to you.”
“Will you let me know when you’re back safely?”
“I will kill you and everyone you love if it’s the last thing I do.” “It’ll be the last thing you try.”
“You’re worth saving.”
“My house is a safe haven. Go there if you’re ever in danger and we will take care of you.”
“Get away from them!”
“You don’t need to protect me.” “I want to.”

🎉 Write characters who want big things.
🎉 Write characters with conflict between what they want and what they need.
🎉 Write characters who don't realize they are doing harm.
🎉 Write characters who don't know how to communicate well.
🎉 Write characters with people they love in the way of what they want.
🎉 Write characters with amazing abilities who use them in ways that unintentionally fuck them over.
🎉 Write messy characters!

Fun Ways to Meet Characters
Thieves stealing important objects from the main characters and then being forced somehow into a found family situation
Saving a character’s life by doing something like taking an arrow/bullet
By losing a bet with a stranger and then teaming up
Gambling with a shifty character and getting really mad at them, only for them to later end up saving the other character’s life
Meeting the other in an arranged marriage and actually liking them (or really, really hating them)
Or having a chaotic dynamic where they irritate each other but they’re equally chaotic, so they become the mischievous duo in the found family
By bickering over the last piece of food at a banquet
Getting hired as a servant or maid, or some other serving position
By accidentally almost killing a character, only for them to join the found family and literally never stop bringing up that first meeting
