never watched an episode of jonathans creek before but i hear this is a halloween episode so im stoked!! literally all i know about stevie claithorne (not to be confused with stevie daker) is that hes a priest. thats it. otherwise im going in fully blind.

soft boy just wants to help his wife despite not being terribly fond of her mother. tries to help his wife as she grieves and ends up finding that she and his father-in-law were in cahoots to kill his mother-in-law.

he seems to have strong morals but will he put those aside to stay with his wife? (not if i have anything to say about it)

he absolutely needs to do some soul searching

i wanna say hes a very affectionate service top (maybe more experienced than one would give him credit for)

i want to say he was probably a born-again christian? idk i just get the vibe that he wasnt always devout

ig im just thinking about how versatile he is as an actor and how hes changed over the course of his career. (i also love how we got to see his hairline recede in real time)

like ive been talking to people irl (my aunt mainly) and she considers him to be a kind of one-note actor who tends to be type-cast for bumbling, silly comic relief roles but hes so much more than that!

hes played a serial killer with daddy issues, a doctor who really tries to do good despite his trauma and past abuse, a detective who strives for justice in a very unjust world, a scorned husband struggling with alcoholism and depression and thats just naming four of his roles!

i think hes a very talented actor with a wide range of skills and a wicked sense of humour and he should be more talked about.

but then again i am very biased....

albert campion - closeted gay. he knows he cant be open with his sexuality given the time period and the attitudes toward gay people, especially in the upper class.

david braithwaite - mainly straight (heteroflexible). i feel like he probably had a fling or two in college.

dc davies - he doesnt really think that much about sex anymore tbf; hes focussed on his career and just like day-to-day stuff but id say he's probably demisexual.

fifth doctor - pan/demi. i mean, hes a time-travelling alien. why be picky about something like gender?

gavin purcell - absolutely unapologetically gay. next question.

henry christmas - demi/heteroflexible. it doesnt matter to him whats between your legs tbf. hell work with what hes got.

herbie - more on the het side of things (due to his desire to have a family) but he doesnt mind what gender you identify as. if he cares about you, he cares about you, and thats the end of it.

jeremy tyler - closeted bi. willingly climbing into bed with another naked man is very sus behaviour. 🤔🤔

lance fortescue - lance is an interesting one. id say hes pansexual but homoromantic. he has no trouble chatting up/sleeping with women for manipulation purposes but, if hes really going to fall for someone, theyll probably be a man (or at least male-presenting).

nicky frazer - pan/demi. hes so desperate at this point, hell take anything. please someone get his dick wet for the love of god.

stephen claithorne - heteroflexible/demi. he absolutely has an issue with finding some men attractive and this, of course, would clash with his faith. and yet…

stephen daker - another hard one (esp bc i havent sat through all of avpp) but i get the vibe that, due to his past abusive marriage, hed be more emotionally available towards men. he finds women attractive for sure but he can really open up and be vulnerable around men. it also helps that hes absolutely a bottom.

tristan farnon - pan through and through. women are great, guys are great. eating pussy is rad as hell but so is sucking a good dick. ofc he has to be lowkey about sleeping with/dating men bc gossip spreads fast in small towns but that doesnt stop him.

i hope you didnt expect any of them to be wholly straight. if you did, you sure came to the wrong blog soidujfiuashv
