Meet Irene Morningstar; daughter of Alastor and Charlie Morningstar!

A child born from royal and a sinner’s blood. Irene (pronounced i-reen-ie) Allison Morningstar is a hellborn demon with immense power and remarkable beauty. She aspires to be strong like her father and a leader like her mother, while also maintaining her own sense of individualism. Unlike her parents, she’s quiet and soft spoken, and hardly ever raises her voice. She does enjoy singing, but hardly when around other people. Don’t mistake her silence for timidness, though. Her confidence and charm is unmatched and her smile can light up a whole room. Don’t push her buttons, either. Like her mom and dad, when she’s angry…you better find somewhere to run!

As you can see I tried combining as much of Charlie and Alastor’s traits as I could, without it looking too chaotic and over-the-top. I’ve seen many talk of Charlie having goat ears and so I was torn on which kind of ears to give Irene. Ultimately I settled on deer ears that hang low like a goat’s. I also was going to give her antlers when it occurred to me that females don’t typical have them😅 Oh well, she’s got her daddy’s charm and poor eye sight to make up for it! She also has a hairstyle similar to Charlie’s from the pilot (I originally wanted to give her a cute braided bun, but I couldn’t figure out how to draw that with her bangs and ears😭) I also incorporated traits from her grandparents as well—such as Lilith’s nose color and Lucifer’s horns + eyes when she’s in her demon form!

Her design is subject to change later on. But as of right now I’m happy with how she turned out!

(Note to Charlastor antis and those RA shippers: this is a Charlastor kid. Deal with it. Do not steal her and try to pass her off as an RA kid. I will find out and I will come for your kneecaps. She is my character and if you don’t like her that’s not my problem!🖕)

I feel like Bee would first crack some kind of joke about never expecting her niece to get THAT drunk (she's not actually Charlie's aunt, but she's loved calling herself that since she was "born" so it's become a habit) but would then want to spoil Dawn stupid with sweets and toys. I also think she would occasionally send care packages to the hotel and Charlie might at some point have to tell her to hella cool down on those bc it's getting way too much, especially with Rosie's contributions as well lmfao

Asmodeus I feel would be as emotional as he would be smitten with Dawn, he loved Babysitting Charlie when she was a baby so this is very nostalgic to him, and I can also see him being fascinated about how she'd come to be, knowing how much it took for Lucifer and Lilith to have Charlie all those decades ago. He would also 100% send a million photos and selfies with her to Fizz lmfao

Mammon I feel would immediately smell a financial opportunity and repeatedly offer to babysit, but Charlie always declines no matter how stressed she gets bc Mammon would just try to make Dawn go viral online with some crazy set up video for maximum drama and/or cuteness impact and turn her into some marketable icon to profit off of lmao

Since we haven't yet met any of the other sins I can't really come up with anything regarding them ^^"

Is it just me or does it really bother y’all when fankids are literally the exact copy of the opposite gendered parent. Like a couple will have a daughter and she looks EXACTLY like the father and they’ll have a son and he’ll be an EXACT copy of the mom. THATS NOT HOW KIDS WORK!! I think that Hazbin!fankids don’t really have this problem (at least not RadioBelle fankids) bc they all look pretty unique. But like, for example The Nightmare Before Christmas fankids I have to stop and ask myself if it’s a little version of Jack or Sally because they look the exact same. LIKE- go fill out a punnet square then come back to the drawing board lol

I don't know why I love Charlastor. I think I love it more than RadioApple. It just has that exciting feeling to it. Two people on opposite sides of everything: the pessimist and the optimist (Obviously Charlie). The one who wouldn't hurt a fly and the one who would kill someone if they looked at them the wrong way. Charlie's smiles are sincere and she wears them all the time. Alastor's smiles are a way to deceive his enemies and he wears them all the time. The absolute sweetheart and the tall dark brooding psychotic gentleman. And for some reason they look so DAMN GOOD TOGETHER! And the ship is even more spicy because Lucifer despises Alastor.

I am not ashamed to admit it: I love the dramatics. Charlie and Alastor are meant for the stage. Why not have their lives together be a twisting turning show? (I do not want this in real life) ITS ROMANCE! GIVE ME THE DRAMA! GIVE ME THE ANGST!

So, I’ve been reading If You Like Piña Coladas and I’m absolutely loving it — it’s superbly written and I love all the art you make for it!! The sunset illustration especially made me stop reading for a minute just to freak out over how beautiful it is!

As I was reading, I had some thoughts about your AU with Dawn and have some questions if you don’t mind answering them!

Basically with the introduction of Frederick in Chapter 2, it made me wonder what Dawn would think of the human world if she was on a family vacation with her parents in this AU?

Is there anything in particular you think she might enjoy and how do you think she’d respond to being around human children like Frederick? I was wondering if she’d fit in really quickly or if would she struggle because there probably are very few children in Hell and she might not be used to meeting with kids her age.

I imagine Frederick wouldn’t be her choice of friend for obvious reasons, but at the same time I find the idea of Alastor fuming about them bonding quite funny XD

It’s honestly so so awesome that we have so many amazing artists and writers like you and your friend in the Charlastor fandom — I love the ship on its own, but I think the amazing community of creative people who share their love for the pairing online makes it extra special 🦌🌈🎶🔥

Aroace Alastor

Hoo boy here we go- This one might make some people mad at me, so I'll preface by saying I do not want to start a fight and as long as you respect my business, I'll respect yours. But let's get this over with-

First off, I genuinely don't understand how some people can see the Ace-In-The-Hole quote and still believe that Alastor is only intended to be asexual and not also aromantic. Yes, the term Rosie used for purpose of the pun was 'ace', but can we look at the context of that moment before jumping to conclusions?

Rosie, motioning to Charlie: "Oh, who's this you brought with you? Come now, Alastor, she's much too young for you! Oh, I'm just kidding. I know you're an ace in the hole!"

Her original statement implies nothing sexual, only that he's involved in a relationship with Charlie, and she follows it up with why she knows that couldn't be because he's an 'ace in the hole'. I don't think you have to read too far between the lines to see that.

I would also like to say that when Vivienne has spoken about his orientation before, I recall her saying that she didn't want to confirm him being aromantic so that she wouldn't 'ruin anyone's fun', which I just feel like is an odd thing to say if she wasn't already explicitly picturing him as aroace. If she thought he had romantic attraction, why wouldn't she just say that? What fun would that ruin? I also feel like keeping things like this ambiguous just to appease the shippers is a little weird, but I digress-

And to those of you who I know are saying "But aromantic people can be in relationships too!!" *deep inhale* yeah I know. I'm not gonna pretend you're not right about that, but there are also aroace people who have exactly 0 interest in romance or sex at all. This is the part of the post that really is based on how I interpret certain moments, but to me he is absolutely one of those people. I don't really know where people get any vibes of him being interested in that stuff. I have never once looked at him and thought "Yeah I could see him in a romantic relationship with *insert character here*". Even aside from attraction in general, since that's what we'd be talking about at this point anyway, he just seems like the kind of guy who'd rather work and live independently instead of relying on anyone, whether practically or emotionally (which is also probably part of the reason he never joined the Vees, but that's another topic entirely). Hell, I'm pretty sure he's in heavy denial about even developing any kind of care or friendship with the people at the hotel (ie. the episode 8 scene with him and Niffty).

The only ships I see him involved in with people he doesn't hate (so ignoring RadioApple, RadioHusk, and StaticRadio. But to be real, maybe the fact all his main ships are enemies to lovers coded says something about the whole situation, but that's just me-) are Charlastor - which I will not even try to discuss here, people aren't gonna like this post as it is - and RadioRose. Rosie and him would at least be fair, if it weren't for one thing (which is also personal opinion on my end), and I don't know exactly how to word it. I'm tempted to say she has wingwoman vibes? But she knows he's aro, so that's not the right word, but there's vibes of like, she probably did act as a wingwoman before she realized that about him or something.. There's also something about her joking around like "Oh this is the girl? You have a girlfriend and I'm only now meeting her?" is almost giving motherly behavior. Idk man they're just besties to me, I could see them in a QPR though (not that they'd probably label it that way, considering the word queerplatonic is likely just complete gibberish to Alastor lmao).

So to summarize: It feels incredibly likely, if not practically canon, that Alastor was written with aromanticism in mind, even if Vivienne refuses to explicitly state it. Subtext and not-that-subtle implications can say just as much about a character as word of God, especially when that God has explicitly told us why she won't confirm or deny this information. Do I think any of this will stop people from shipping him romantically with literally any other character? No ofc it won't, and that's okay, that's just what fandoms do. I do think there's something to say for the fact the one aroace (or even at the very least asexual) character gets constantly shipped with everyone else in the cast, but this post is long enough I think. The only point of posting this is that I wanted to get information out there in one post to say "Hey, let's look a little bit past the surface for a second before saying there's no proof of him being aromantic"

I fully agree with you on your takes about Vaggie and Charlastor in general.

I wouldn't mind Chaggie being canon if the show did a better job at having the relationship say something about them instead of just meshing them together like a kid making their dolls kiss.

In fact, I would even go as far to say Alastor did MORE for Charlie than Vaggie ever did! Because he did so out of his own volition, and taking her somewhere where her passion would help them!

Where as everything Vaggie does is tied to making Charlie happy to some extent, not even her going to Carmilla to find a way to fight against the angels is of her own volition! Everything she does is all for and centered around Charlie.

Which kind of beckons the question of would she even still do these things or even stick around if Charlie wasn't her girlfriend. It all feels like the most change she went through was just changing leaders to follow, instead of following a leader that's cruel, she follows a leader that's nicer.

I REALLY hope as the show goes on Vaggie will get the much needed development she needed.

I think that's the biggest problem I have with canon chaggie as it stands. Like, this could be the lumity of adult animation, but it's just... meh? Like cool, they're kind of there. I know in another as I mentioned Kim and Ron as an example of what main characters in a relationship should be, but Lumity is honestly the more accurate example, especially considering how dirty Disney did the third season.

Luz is the cheerful, optimistic bisexual who is ultimately the chosen of a powerful entity just like Charlie (difference being one is descended from one the other is chosen to be imbued with its power) when they face down their nemesis it's with a strength that comes from having their kindness used, abused, and dismissed by said enemy. And ironically, their main antagonist is someone who is so assured of their own self-righteousness and goodness that it doesn't matter what they do or who they harm in the process.

Amity by contrast is the strictly raised over achiever who ultimately has a heart of gold beneath her stern and stand offish appearance. People associate that song "Little Miss Perfect" with her for a reason, though I do feel it applies to Vaggie as well. The difference between amity and vaggie though is that amity's interactions with luz encourage her to rebel against that image. Aside from Charlie offering her a bandage for her eye and indicating immediate interest... what does she bring out in Vaggie? Protective instincts? I mean... cool but we saw that a cannibal kid cowering in fear was enough for her to challenge her own beliefs so it's not like being with Charlie really changed her view of sinners. Hell, like Lucifer she still seems to approach them with condescension and derision, not the best approach for someone managing a rehab hotel right?

And let me be clear, whatever it takes is a great song. But it kind of shows the unhealthier aspects of Vaggie's side in their relationships. "I'll be your armor, I'll spend my life being your partner" you cannot be someone's armor and their partner because true partnership is equal, not one consistently protecting the other. And not to shit all over Vaggie I think her backstory has the capacity to be very moving. But Charlie... isn't the best partner to her.

Can I be real? I love my girl, I am not bashing for the sake of bashing. But Charlie has a tendency to get so wrapped up in her own stuff that vaggie's wants/needs often get... ignored? Not prioritized at the nicest. Vaggie seems hesitant about trust exercises? Well let's put her in charge of the whole thing! Vaggie doesn't want to go to heaven? Charlie makes her come anyways (which, side note if sinners can visit heaven Alastor as a shrewd businessman would have made a better choice just logically or at the very least give a reason why he can't go he's just not in that episode at all for some reason). And she kind of uses the "I'm your partner and I need your support" thing a lot on vaggie. Which, even if it's true Charlie, sweetie, please notice when your girlfriend needs you too.

Vaggie does have points at times about Charlie's ideas being too grandiose or impractical but the average way that goes is;

Vaggie: Charlie no,

Charlie: Charlie yes!

And then chaos happens and it somehow all works out and there's no apology from anyone. I'm also still kind of mad that Charlie didn't LET vaggie apologize for keeping that secret. Like, no, Charlie had as much right to be mad about that as vaggie did for keeping that secret and y'all really need to evaluate your relationship and boundaries and communication skills before you decide to continue it.

One other thing that bothers me is that... literally if you removed the introduction scene to Lucifer and the kiss in the last episode literally no one would be able to tell for sure they're a couple. And tbh? That's just bad writing. Especially considering how much they sideline vaggie from all love interest duties. Charlie's in danger? Lucifer to the rescue! And like... seriously, what was the point of giving vaggie her wings back if she couldn't use them to rescue her girlfriend? Why did she get those back? She doesn't fly at any other point after that, and sure maybe it's a case of she's gone for so long without them it's like learning to fly all over again, but at that point maybe give her wings that are incapable of sustaining her weight in flight? Something to indicate she's got them back but they're impractical for combat use so she has to rely on riding the goat dragons and Charlie falling from a high place would require someone with full sized wings to tackle the problem.

Look, I went into this show knowing that chaggie was canon and that Viv had been planning on doing much of what she called "fan service" for them. But for the love of god at least make it so that people cannot argue they're a couple. A complication of "Chaggie moments" on Amazon's YouTube is them just... talking. Bro, come on.

Vaggie deserves better. Charlie deserves better. Canon chaggie deserves better and the shippers who are not entitled assholes certainly deserve better than having to do all the fucking legwork for a canon ship. At least charlastor being non canon means I have every right to over react about the nuggets of content they give us. One day I will go over some of the insane ramblings I have for why they did so much for the non canon ship but not today lol

Re-reading some of the other Anons’s take and how Charlastor has way more dynamic than Chaggie and I couldn’t agree more. And like.. CAN YOU imagine the potential if we role swapped Vaggie and Alastor ? Somethings would change of course.

Charlie so desperate to help the sinners and to help the people of hell. Vaggie being an overlord/ powerful being “ helping “ Charlie, taking advantage of her naiveness and knowing dang well the hotel idea is gonna be a disaster. But the more she spends time with Charlie,GETTING TO KNOW HER MORE, the more Vaggie thinks “… maybe she could be right ?.. “ Changing her perspective on what’s right. Starts enjoying her company more and “ Oh no she’s kind of cute ? Oh god - eldrich lesbian moth panic- “ (both of them would be the same age don’t worry )

If I remember correctly, I think people speculated Alastor having some past with Lilith/Rosie ? There’s potential there too! We could have maybe Lilith/Rosie give kid Charlie to Alastor since she trust Alastor to take good care of her. ( Alastor could be a fallen angel? ) and both him and Charlie could have a wholesome father-daughter relationship. Alastor, still being the quirky silly Uncle/ Dad to Charlie and supporting her idea of a Happy Hotel for sinners. At first he wouldn’t be on board with it but he would still be supportive, like any parent. He could be so iffy of Vaggie, A POWERFUL DANGEROUS BEING, just waltzing into the hotel to “help” her adoptive daughter/ Niece. We could have gotten Protective Dad Alastor.

Alastor: -points aggressively at Vaggie who’s just staring at Charlie with heart eyes- “ She is gonna be a bad influence and danger to my kid, I just KNOW it “ >:(
