In reality, it's what a chef said to his waiter after biting off and eating his ear, and revealing that he killed and cooked the waiter's ex. And it's still romantic.

I need to chew on Vince angrily asking Rody why he didn't just quit in Best Served Hot/Cold when in Table for One he says the job will still be open to Rody if he wants it. He seems to have an odd amount of care (read: obsessive attachment, probably) for Rody from being way more lenient on him than he is with his cooks, to scribbling out the negative notes about Rody, etc etc.

And of course, (an attempt at) feeding Manon to Rody because he never told Vince his favourite food. And because he believed that cooking with love would improve his food. The end result is that it seems like Vince didn't want to actually hurt Rody in any permanent way. The murder only seems to be after it's too late and Rody knows what Vince has done. (And judging by the broken glass on the floor of his study, when Vince is drunk.)

All of it makes me wonder what would happen if Rody returned to the restaurant after Table for One because Manon wouldn't pick up. If it was just them.

Omg I just realized I never posted these doodles from my modern college AU. Technically this is for the epilogue for one of my fics but I think it can pass as an AU on its own. More info under cut

In this AU, Rody and Vince are soulmates from their previous life (the universe we know) and found each other in the current time. Rody never dropped out of college and continues to pursue his Hospitality degree, is in a band and is lowkey popular with people who love his music.

Vince is still studying Culinary (he can taste here, purely because I don't want him to suffer anymore lol) and Manon is his best friend. They met because she failed miserably at making a souffle, Vince offered to help and they became close that way.

And I realized this makes this my 4th dead plate AU. I'm so cooked
