I want a Supernatural video game. Something old school SNES side scroller style.  But most importantly, I want it to start out with Sam as the playable character, and then Dean becomes a playable character, and then you can switch back and forth. When Castiel shows up in the game, he’s not a playable character, he’s a special attack that Dean can summon.  And Sam’s special attack would have something to do with his demon blood powers.  And then around the season 6 era, SURPRISE! CAS becomes the playable character for a while, and then for the rest of the game, you can switch between the three of them except during story beats where it has to be one of them specifically.

would YOU be interested in a Mists-based GW2 roleplay guild that uses a lore compliant multiverse system to allow canon, canon-adjacent, lore-breaking, and otherwise 'contradictory' muses to coexist in the same setting?

simply put: every writer's cast would be set in their own self-contained universe. as such, everyone could bring whatever muses they want with their own personal headcanons, and no one could dictate what is or isn't canon for anyone else. so long as your muses are GW2-based, you're good to go! bring your Commanders, bring your canon-divergent OCs, bring your canon muses-- and yes, even the ones that are 'supposed' to be dead. who can say what might have happened in a strange world far across the Mists, after all?

neutral hubs and in-character safety guardrails would be in place to keep all muses on a relatively even playing field regardless of their power, history, and prestige, too. play hardball if you like, but it might not end quite the way you'd hope. the main rule would be to maintain good OOC etiquette at all times: no godmodding, no metagaming, no theft, don't blend IC and OOC, and so-on.

So I've always enjoyed your reblogs of 911, I never actually watched it until very recently. I rmr watching Ryan in the boy next door and thought he was a good actor! And yess Ryan's such a good actor! iirc the original 911 showrunner specifically wanted him to play Eddie! (And Maddie was supposed to become his love interest but thankfully JLH wanted Chimney instead aha)

And well it's just that they weren't compatible to being with 😅 thing is she got pregnant only a few months after they started dating and Ryan had talked about how much he wanted children so yeah they stayed together and then they were gonna break up but she got pregnant again during the pandemic and they tried to make it work again (and got married at home 😅). Anyway, she's very into social media and he isn't (he's into painting and photography etc), she's into restrictive diets and excessive workouts to look a certain way and he isn't (he said he doesn't want to spend time and energy on what it takes to look like when he was younger, and she acknowledged that it's not easy to deal with her when she preps for her bodybuilding competitions). She seems to have certain values that don't align with his (I mean she does seem to be open-minded but she also loves guns and stuff). He's also made comments that make it sound like she's quite jealous and has to approve his female love interests on the show. And I rmbr he posted about how she taught him to focus on what he needs instead of what he wants even if it's hard bc it's worth it 😐 Also he was always showing her support with her endeavours and more recently her singing meanwhile at first she posted about the show but the last couple years she only praised his looks, like nothing about his artworks. And like, throughout their relationship every couple of months she'd be passive aggressive on her instagram about their relationship so everyone would know things weren't ok lol and she'd post pics without her wedding ring on, and Ryan would be more lowkey and delete pics of them/her as some kind of retaliation I guess (it seems being with her made him a bit childish, or maybe he just wasn't happy that she was public like this). And then they'd be ok again and praise each other lol anyway. Since the beginning of the year it was clear things weren't ok like she made a passive aggressive post on V-Day about how challenging it is to watch your partner grow and all basically saying they're growing apart lol, and he commented basically agreeing things were nightmarish 😅 and recently he'd been deleting a few posts here and there and she posted about getting rid of "dead ends that no longer serve" her (yikes). Then they posted an old family pic on their stories (I guess to mean they're still a family through the kids) and now they've both unfollowed each other and deleted all pics of each other etc. So I guess they're officially divorced now 🤷 so yeah it seemed Ryan tried to be another person with her at first to make things work and then as time went on he cared more about what makes him truly happy and that wasn't compatible with what makes her happy 🤷 So yeah as you can see this wasn't very healthy! But kudos to them for divorcing now and not staying together for decades just for the kids, it'll be much better for them to see their parents separated but happy than together but miserable!

You get a couple things because idk how interesting either is on its own

Doc is much more scared of getting hurt or not knowing what to do than she will ever willingly let on. The list of "things that could seriously hurt her" is incidentally very long. She's particularly wary of large amounts of water.

She can still more or less function normally, but she puts a lot of effort into minimizing risks and coming up with plans for every way things could go wrong. This probably isn't a great to way to cope with it but at least it's something?

Extra thing bc whoops I took way to long to answer this:

Doc's assistant does most physical things for her, since she can't lift or manipulate objects to the extent she needs to on her own. She also usually uses their eyesight since her own is similarly not great.

Occasionally, the way this link is set up results in her losing control momentarily when her concentration breaks. Or, in more familiar terms, stumbling and breaking the delicate stuff they were carrying because she got startled. She's got a lil roller cart to move fragile things around now.

I’m not reblogging much on this URL anymore - especially regarding social issues - but I just want to get this out there in case any one of my 1k followers is wondering...

I’m pro-choice.

I believe abortion is a necessary procedure sometimes; and often that necessity isn’t just about physical health, but also mental wellbeing & financial security. 

Because of that, it’s up to the person immediately affected to be well informed of the risks (physical, mental & social) to decide if it’s the right course of action for them.

I’m not exactly pro-abortion, though. What I want is for the world to progress to a need for no abortions (just like I want it to progress to a need for no chemotherapy). But the world isn’t there yet, so we have to make do with the limited options that are available. 

First and foremost, I am PRO the LIFE of the person with the uterus (& related organs). Their needs come first.

I feel sad that anyone needs to make that decision for whatever reason. I feel sad that whatever birth control methods they or their partner were using didn’t prevent the pregnancy. 

I feel angry when that situation is forced upon them - through violence, coercion, and medical/government interference.

My faith is Christianity, but I was not brought up with the “abortion is murder” mindset (either at home or in my church). 

However, it was present at my Christian high school. There was a talk from a woman who had supposedly been an “aborted baby”. She said she had a disability because of that. She was there to tell the girls not to have an abortion should they get pregnant too young. 

I had no interest in sex so it wasn’t a factor to me & I wasn’t socially active so I couldn’t be a “rape target”... 

[Sorry, I was brought up with this mindset. I was told it wasn’t the girl’s fault if she was raped, whatever she’s wearing, but was also told not to go to certain places just in case it happened (like, it would be my fault for being there). Because there are sinful non-Christian people who do these horrible things. Also sinful Christian people, but I wasn’t to learn that for a few years.]

Anyway, point is I didn’t pay much attention to her warnings... But I did feel sick that the school thought it was important to have this woman around to talk to the girls at my school, and to basically imply that all abortions are bad. 

The truth is, all abortions are sad. 

And most are necessary (especially the ectopic ones, like WTF are people suggesting those can be saved?).

Some might not be necessary for any of the reasons I’ve given, but I don’t hate anyone for choosing it. I hate that their circumstance put them in that situation. 

There is not enough justice in this world. I feel like there used to be a lot more, but I also recognise that was my middle-class white Australian privilege making it seem that way. 

Not that my life was all that great, but I was definitely sheltered from most of the crap I’ve learned in the last 20 years. It’s been a learning curve to say the least, but one I’m grateful to be on. I just wish I could do more to improve society.

many people were confused about some of my previous posts, so for the sake of clarity i am condensing everything! tumblr has extremely transphobic moderation practices, often flagging completely innocent posts as explicit, solely for containing trans women in them or mentioning transgenderism. while letting untagged porn in sfw tags (ive literally seen porn tagged as "sfw agere") and blatent hatespeech, especially twards trans people (just look at the "gender critical" tag) go completely unchecked recently the CEO of tumblr had a big public hissyfit about people (rightfully) calling him transmysogenistic, going into random trans womens dms to harrass them, and saying that predstrogen saying she "hopes he explodes with hammers and then explodes again and hammers fly everywhere" is a death threat and saying he is calling the FBI on her (repeatedly misgendering her and calling her "it") and many bloggers, apon speaking out about it or even making harmless jokes (one trans woman posted a picture of a car and a hammer with the caption "reblog to scare matt" and got nuked for it) and many are very very angry (rightfully) about this whole affair and tumblr in general. if you would like to look into it i reccomend scrolling the "predstrogen" tag as she is the case most people are talking about at the moment. So, what can we do? this is clearly an ongoing issue, and, dispite having lost a lawsuit about their transphobic moderation in the past (see : https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/21274288-tumblr-nycchr-settlement) its clearly not gonna stop with just user complaints, as staff members are perfectly content to just go scorched earth on users who even so much as lightly poke fun at them well if you want to help you should contact the human rights commision (i will give clear details further down) ! you dont have to be in the US, nor be an adult to file, and it only takes a few minutes. this is the best and most effective method to fix this, because it hits tumblr where it hurts. human rights acencies have a lot of legal and financial power and tumblr CAN NOT just ignore them, and given that this will be the seccond time this is happening, the commisions shouldnt be playing nice anymore eaither. its really important that AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE FILE, and with different examples! while maybe your case might not be enough to prop up a lawsuit on its own, we need to prove a general trend. so every little bit counts! to respond to another question abt this ive gotten, as for what exactly to report, you should a) write about an act of discrimination youve recieved on tumblr that was eaither administered by a staff member OR that staff refused to give adequate moderation action in for example : a terf posted some blatent hatespeech targeted twards you, and you reported them, and staff looked at the issue and refused to persecute it. example 2 : you were unfairly flagged, deleted, or otherwise punished by a staff member and you are queer ( AND the post they banned you for has some kind of tie to your gender, ex : a sfw transition progress photo ) OR b) if you have not personally recieved something like that, please look for other peoples stories (THEY SHOULDNT BE HARD TO FIND, within the last couple of hours trans people have been being banned LEFT AND RIGHT for trying to speak on this. i would reccomend checking some of the tags related to what happened with predstrogen) and you should describe that incident as best as possible (be sure to disclose that you are speaking for someone else, ideally you should tell the story of someone you know, if possible.) you can also mention any reports you have made twards people posting blatent hatespeech that, opon reveiwing tumblr refused to prosecute dispite it being very obviously against terms of service. just so nobody gets confused about the filing process, im laying it out in more plain languadge!!

Chiho Saito’s 1999 Revolutionary Girl Utena Original Illustration Collection

IT’S HERE. IT’S DONE. IT’S FINISHED. NOW…IT’S YOURS. Happy Holidays, my friends.

Vanna here! I have posted some already about this project, and the responses I got, public and otherwise, have been absolutely incredible. Y’all have been reblogging and hyping this before it even finished…I haven’t felt so encouraged about an Utena project since the musicals! (Yes, streams soon, I promise.) You can read the other post to get more details, and catch my post here with more details about the process if you’re interested. The long and short of it?

This is the first artbook I ever scanned. I did it in 2001. In Photoshop, using multiple scans per page that took hours to process. But it was 2001. A half megabyte file that was 1250px wide was considered extremely hardcore and impressive. That’s just always been the business I’m in when it comes to Utena art, you know? 

It’s now the latest artbook I’ve scanned, and so much of the process, and effort involved, is unchanged. What has changed, is the result. Welcome to your new desktop background. Your new phone background. Your new poster print. 

What I’ve done here is attempt to create definitive digitized images of Chiho Saito’s work as offered by this book--I have removed the print moiré of the original scans, and used my literal decades of experience to try and tease out as much information from them as possible. Without being physically in front of the original artwork (which is a thing I’ve had the great fortune to get to do) this is The Most Chiho Saito you are ever going to get. I’ve tried my best to make sure there is a way to get it that works for everyone:

Check out the ‘compressed’ (not very) 10k ‘web friendly’ (not really) copy at the Bibliothèque, the media archiving wing of the Something Eternal forums at Empty Movement*. You might be wondering what any of that is. Something Eternal? Biblewhatawhat??? EmptyMovement.com? You might even have done a double take at the word ‘forum.’ And you should!!!

I have a confession. This artbook was my ‘side project’ as I worked on this, *the main project.* For a couple years I’ve been banging around with a new domain, and originally I had other plans for it, but Elon Musk ruined my Twitter and Discord is well along on its way to enshittification, and well….we joke on the Discord a lot about ‘reject modernity, embrace forums’ and you know what? We’re right. So Yasha and I are putting our money where our mouths are once again, and doing something insane. We are launching, in 2023, a website forum. Obviously, this is not the official ‘launch’ per se, but I cannot announce the artbook without directing you to the forum, since it sits on the attached very cool gallery system. Oops! Told on myself. Another post more focused on the forum will be forthcoming, but if you are just that motivated to get in right away, you absolutely can! (This will help stagger new arrivals anyway, which is good for us!) If you would rather wait for the ‘official’ launch, by all means that’s coming, including a lengthy screed about how and why we’re doing this. In either case, remember: this is a couple weebs trying to make internet magic happen, we are not website developers by trade. Give us grace as we iron things out and grow into this cool new website thingie…hopefully along with some of you! :D
