What: Melissa goes into labor and calls Finneas

Where: New York

When: Early Monday 9/23/2020

Who: Melisisa and @ffsfinneas

Melissa

Melissa was at home sitting on her couch cuddling with her dogs when she got a feeling. She had been having light ones at first but this was a lot more. She waited a little before another one came, yes this was it she knew this feeling. After she was sure it was contractions. So she called up Finneas. "Baby" she smiled at moment "What are you doing right now?"

Finneas

Finneas was working at the studio getting frustrated with everything because he would much rather be at his own studio where he knew where everything was when he got a call from Melissa. He picked up immediately. “Hey baby.” He paused. “I was actually just finishing up here to head home. You called to ask me to pick something up for you? Cupcakes? Cookies? What is it?” He asked with a chuckle.

Melissa

She laughed hearing what he said "Oh yes cookies and Emily reminded me I need cheeseake" she smirked a moment. She wanted to tell him but not to freak him out to fast. "What are you up too?" she asked hoping he wasn't to busy

Finneas

Finneas chuckled. “ Okay só cookies and cheesecake, that it?” He asked, shaking his head. “I’m just packing everything and get ready to go home.” He paused. “Why is something wrong?”

Melissa

Finneas was really the best it's why she loved him and wanted to be around him all the time. "Yes please, all the cookies." she did want it but really did not need it right now. "Oh I'm glad your not busy" she nodded and looked down. "no no... nothing wrong" she bit her lip "I just miss you" she smiled as she was getting herself up to try and get her bag ready.

Finneas

Finneas got everything he needed and headed out of the building, going towards his car. “Of course not, you know I’m not ever busy for you. Although today has been a particularly frustrating day, I hate having to come to the studio.” He sighed. “Oh I miss you too, I’ll be home shortly.” He said as he got into the car and drove away.

Melissa

She smiled at the thought, she really didnt want to worry him. So she was hoping he could just get home and till him. Since her last labor was along time she was sure that this one would too. "Oh no that's no..." she stopped making "shit" she had say it hurt she couldn't hold that fact back. "just...get home"

Finneas

Finneas noticed her cursing and immediately knew something was wrong. “Baby? You okay?” He had put her on speaker so that he could drive and talk to her. “The baby is coming isn’t he? Oh God ... I’m going, I’m going as fast as I can!”

Melissa

She made some more not to nice sounds before she could talk "yes but..." she took a moment to breath . "baby drive save this all takes hours... im fine" it hurt a lot but really she had a couple hours to go before anything was going to happen. "I need you here safely..." she said making it to their room. She had call Chris after this soon too.

Finneas

Finneas sighed as he nodded his head, even though she couldn’t really see it. “Yes of course, always.” He was nervous and stressed out and this wasn’t even his baby. But he loved Melissa and he wanted things to go well, he should’ve been there for her, why did it have to happen when he was working. “I’m almost there.” He said and after a few minutes he was parking the car in front of their place.

Melissa

"I love you you know that right" she wanted him there, during all of it. Not in the room that was for Chris but still he would be there always. She knew there was a chance this could happen when he was gone and didnt worry to much about it. She was doing her best to get her bag, that was already packed ready. while waiting for Finneas to arrive she called Chris and told him and he said he was coming to the hospital now.

Finneas

Finneas couldn’t help but smile at her words even though he was so stressed out. “Yeah I know that baby, I love you too so much.” He said before ending the call and running up the stairs to their apartment. He got the keys and entered the house, looking around to find Melissa. “Baby? Where are you?” He shouted out as he walked deeper into the house.

Melissa

She was in their room now sititng on the bed since she needed the break. Telling Chris was just as crazy as telling Finneas. He was freaking out and wanitng to hurry too. Hearing someone come inside she smiled happy Finneas was here" Babe im in our room" she said and just like that another contaction happened. "ohhhhhhh" she called out this all hurt.

Finneas

Finneas ran to the bedroom and saw her sitting on the bed. He quickly made his way towards her and knee down in front of her, holding both her hands. “Okay it’s okay just breath alright? We’ll get you to the hospital and you’ll be fine. Your baby boy is finally coming.” He said with a smile.

Melissa

she smiled seeing Finneas she did need him, and just seeing him helped. She smirked a little at him, and his reaction to it all. "I'm it's gonna" she held on to his hand as another one hit her. "pass" she made a face and was breathing till it passed. she put her hands on each side of his face and kissed him "you need to breath too" she said and let out a deep breath.

Finneas

Finneas looked her over, as if that would solve everything but it was his way to check if everything was alright. “Okay we have to get you to the hospital as soon as possible.” He told her and stood up, holding her hands to help her up too. “Yeah well I can’t ... I’m more stressed out than I was at the Grammys or the Oscars and it’s not even my kid.” He chuckled slightly, grabbing her bag that was already packed.September 23, 2020

Melissa

"It's not real big rush Ellie took like 12 hours" she chuckled a little, it all hurt and was coming. But it wasn't like he was really on his way into the real world right now. "you're cute and it's sweet" she smiled at him. "Chris is on his way too.." she said so he knew."but breath baby breath" she said holding his hand as they went out to the car

Finneas

Finneas shrugged his shoulders. “Doesn’t matter I’ll be a lot more calm when you’re in the hospital getting taken care of by professionals.” He helped her walk ou towards his car and sighed. “I’m not cute, I’m stressed out as hell, how is that cute?” He asked with a chuckle, helping her get into the car and walking around to get into the driver’s side. “I am breathing ... you breath as well baby.”

Melissa

She was doing her best with all of this. She didnt want to act crazy, she didnt want him to freak out too. They were not to far from the hospical so that was good too. "It's jut so cute" she said breathing for a nother one to hit knowing one would soon enough. "I am i am" she laughed lightly trying to make the most of what they said. Once they got driving another one hit and she grabbed his arm a bit hard as she helped one pass

Finneas

Finneas turned his head to look at her for a moment when he felt her grabbing his arm. “We’re almost there baby just a bit more.” He sighed, turning to look back at the road once again. He was getting so anxious and stressed, just wanting to get to the hospital already so that Melissa could get the assistance she needed.

Melissa

She did her best to hide how much it did hurt. it just came in waves and it sucked everytime it happened. She had grab his arm to help each one pass till they made it to the hosptial. Once there it took a little to get checked in, and got her into a room. "Know you can be with me here for a while...but once it gets really going it's going to be just me and Chris" she love to have him there but it was Chris's son so he had the right to be in the room alone with mel

Finneas

Finneas was with her every step of the way as they got to the hospital and she got sorted out. He wanted to be with her for as long as possible but he knew when Chris got there, he would take his place and Finneas respected that, he was the father after all. “Yeah I know, I respect that. I just know I’m going to be a huge nerve wreck out there, not knowing what’s happening.” He chuckled, shaking his head and placing a kiss on her forehead.

Melissa

For all she knew it be a few hours before everything really got going. so she did hope Finneas could be around for a while, she did want him there. "I know you are, you and everyone else showing up" she smirked a moment at him. "It's crazy its happening..." she thought with a smile. that in a few hours her son would be here. "You ready to get no sleep for a while" she laughed.

Finneas

Finneas let out a sigh, nodding his head. “Is it stupid though? I mean, it’s not my son, why the hell am I such a nervous wreck?” Maybe most people thought it was stupid but he couldn’t help it, he cared so much for Melissa and now this baby. “It’ll be fine though.” He chuckled at her words. “It’s fine I don’t mind.”

Melissa

She shook her head at him "Not at all, if you were having a baby with another women... I'd be nervous for you and her" she nodded. "and its since I love you...and you love me...so you love him" she looked down a moment and smiled. Thankfully she had the meds now so she wasn't as hurting as much.

Finneas

Finneas nodded his head, he just wanted everything to go well with her and the baby and that both of them got out of this healthy. “I love you. And him too already.” He shrugged his shoulders, running a hand through her hair. “Now breath and try to rest and save your strength.”

Melissa

She smiled at him a moment, it was so nice to hear. She knew he loved her she could really feel it. "im fine for now" she wasn't tired yet and couldn't sit back and sleep right now. "you need to sit down and relax too" she looked at the chair in the room and smiled at him. "I have a feeling it will be a couple hours..."

Finneas

Finneas didn’t think he would’ve fallen for her or anyone this fast mostly after his breakup with Claudia but he couldn’t help it. Melissa came into his life and really made an impression and now Finneas can’t see his life without her on it. “Nah I’m good for now, I don’t think I can sit down to be honest.” He sighed. “Plus I’m sure Chris is about to get here so I’ll be leaving the room anyways.” He shrugged his shoulders, using one of his hands to hold her’s, caressing the back of her hand with his thumb.

Melissa

She looked at him "sit down" she made a face at him "and you can be with me..and him till go time that's when you will have to go" becuase the hours and hours of waiting was time Finneas and friends could see her. But once it was close to go time that's when Finneas would. She held onto his hand smiled at him. "i think tyler, and everyone from my show is going show up" she laughed.

Finneas

Finneas sighed and pulled the chair next to the bed before sitting down on it. He kept holding her hand, nodding his head. “Oh I just thought I would give you guys some privacy and all, I didn’t want to bother or impose in the moment, it’s your moment.” He shrugged his shoulders. “Of course you have a lot of people who care about you, there’s gonna be a bunge of people out there waiting.” He sighed. “Kinda wish Billie would be here too, at least I wouldn��t be alone outside.”

Melissa

She looked at him and smiled when he sat down. him standing walking would bother her way to much, so him sitting was for the best. "all it's going to be is this, sitting waiting, me being in some pain" she smirked a moment. it wasn't to bad the pain meds they gave her were really good. Made a pain go from a ten to a four really. "I wish you could be here too..." but she wanted it to be for her and Chris right now. "you should call her... and ask her I hope she come for you..." she smiled at him. Still feeling so bad she was in the middle of them.

Finneas

Finneas knew it was all a waiting game now, these things could take hours. Although he was going to be there for her the whole time or at least for as long as he could. “I know, it’s okay though I’ll be right outside and it will be as if I’m here with you.” He sighed, shaking his head. “I’ll send her a text letting her know what’s happening but I doubt she’ll show up. Even if she wanted to, she wouldn’t get here in time, she’s in LA.”

Melissa

She smiled at him a moment wondering how she got so lucky. A few months ago she thought she be alone during most of this. that Chris would be around but it wouldn't be like this. "You should call her, I think using your voice shows how much you mean it...even if she cant make it in time I'll be here a day or two so she can still meet him" she nodded. "She's not his real aunt at all but shes auntie billie if she wants to be" like a lot of her friends they were aunt/uncle to her kids

Finneas

Some people thought it was stupid what he was doing, that he was crazy for being with a girl who is pregnant with another guy’s baby but it wasn’t like he could really choose who he fell for. He didn’t plan for this but now, he couldn’t live without her, that was how much she meant to him. “Yeah you’re right, I’ll call her and hopefully she picks up.” They had talked and they were on speaking terms now but he knew she still didn’t support this relationship. “I know it might take a while for her to want to get involved and all of that, probably until she realises that what we have is real and you’re not just trying to find a dude to act as your kids’ father.”

Melissa

She heard things too, about the two of them. That Finneas should not be with her, that she was having her second kid with a second guy. that he cmae in the middle of her being pregnant. That their age was pretty big gap and more. But really she did not mind any of that, she just clicked with him and it felt really right round him. That she felt safe and loved. "I hope so too" she smiled at him. "it is... and I've told her can tell her myself in person that Im not with you to help with my kids, or to be their dad. Im with you since we just...click and I love you." she smiled at him. "Yeah i know you will help with them, and love them but that's okay"

Finneas

Finneas was pretty good at ignoring the hate and what people said about him but he got pretty pissed when they would comment on Melissa or say bad shit about her. He knew it affected her in a way and as much as she denied it, he just knew. But it was worse for Finneas when it was his own sister doing that because it hurt a lot more than a group of strangers that he didn’t know. “Just give her time, don’t force it or it will be worse. You have to let her come to you, Billie does things when she wants to.” He smiled at her, placing a kiss on her lips. “I love you too. And I’m glad we did, I haven’t been this happy in a long time.” He paused. “Yeah but that’s because I want to not because you’re asking me to.”

Melissa

She nodded and looked at him. "I have why I haven't really spoke to her in a long time" a little when she was first hanging out with Finneas. but after that she stopped and just hoped she would come around. That she see that what her and Finneas had was real. that it wasn't about the kids or anything. "She dose but she cares... in her own way Im sure" she smiled as she kissed him back. "same here... " she knew he knew it all too. "and i love that about you. but with this boy Chris will be in the guest room for a while...so you dont need to help for a while" she knew her and Chris need this time

Finneas

Finneas sighed. “Yeah she’s hard to deal with and her personality isn’t the easiest to understand but she’ll come around eventually. She’s just worried that you’re using me and that you’ll hurt me, she’s being protective and I can’t blame her for that. She was the one who was there to catch me and get me off the ground when Claudia broke up with me, she knows how broken I was and doesn’t want to see me go through that again.” He paused, looking down at the floor. “I can leave if you want to have some alone time with Chris and the baby.” Did he want to be there? Of course but he also felt like he was bothering and getting in the middle of them and their alone time with the baby. “I’ll go back to LA for a while, I should because I need to work closely with Billie for her new album anyways.” He shrugged his shoulders.

Melissa

She smiled at him "I know that, and it's sweet she loves you so much she wants to protect you" she got it. She had friends that didnt trust people she got with. After what happened with her ex they worried, she did at times too. She still had the spot in the back of her mind that said they dont stay sweet. But Meliisa knew Finneas was serious. No guy who had bad heart would stay around with the kids thing came around. "No... plesae dont I still want you there... I mean you can if you need it. But just know the baby is on me and Chris" she nodded at him pulling him over to kiss him.September 24, 2020

Finneas

Finneas nodded. “It would be the same way if the roles were reversed. I was worried too when she started dating Jordan but as soon as I met him I understood how much he cared for her and how good she was to her.” He just hoped that Billie would give Melissa a chance, to get to know her. “I just feel like I’m getting in the middle of it, you know? And this is a moment you should have alone with your baby’s father.” He paused. “I do have to go back eventually though, my life and my work place is there.” He told her, letting out a sigh.

Melissa

She looked at him for a moment "I would too... I mean my sisters are not famous at all... they dont have life I do" she nodded they were marired and happy too. "But I get it, I do understand why she's worried but I hope she comes around so we can talk and become friends" she smiled at him. "you're not...you're there for me and I need you" she said looking at him. "But I know you need to work..but you wont worry as much knowng Chris is there helping me"

Finneas

Finneas nodded. “Yeah I get that.” He paused. I hope so as well and then she’ll understand how good of a person you are and how good you make me feel.” Finneas smiled at her words. “I’m always gonna be there for you, no matter what.” He looked down at her. “That’s why I thought leaving now and finish the album was the best option, while you have him around. I do want to be there for you though but as much as you deny it, I still feel like I’m intruding.” He shrugged his shoulders.

Melissa

She didnt want him to go, but she knew he had too. He had to work, there was no getting out of it. But the more he was gone now the quicker it would be done too. "I hope she can see this is all real" she smiled at him a moment. 'I know you need too..but i dont want you too... it's not home now without you" she smiled at him with a sigh. "But you're not... Finneas at all' she said looking at him.

Finneas

His life was in LA that’s where his family was and where his work was, he needed to go back. He had come to be with Melissa because of the pregnancy because he hated the thought of her being all alone through it. Chris would be with her and the baby for now and he trusted her enough to let that happen. “I know me too.” He nodded his head. “I don’t want to go either but it’s where my life is. I wish you could come with me though.” He looked down at her and sighed. “Yeah I guess, I don’t know I just can’t help it, feeling like this.”

Melissa

Location, it was the worst for her. She had friends she lost from living so far away. Part of her issues with Blake was he was so far away. from her. Ellies father was the same since he did travel for work a lot. But she knew Finneas lived in LA he was only here for her during the pregnancy. But having him go back wasn't anything she wanted to think about. "I know...but once this boy is born and older im back to Vancover for Supergirl but I know it's ending after this season...." she was sad about it, but it was time. "I bet but dont think about that.."

Finneas

Finneas wanted to believe that distance was something they could both overcome. He knew it would be hard, mostly when he goes on tour and stays away for months but he was going to try his hardest to make it work. And he knew Melissa will as well. “After you finish shooting, you going back to New York? Ever thought about living in LA?” He asked, titling his head to the side. Finneas nodded his head. “Of course lets not talk about it though, you need to relax and save your strength.”

Melissa

She didn't want to think about the times in a few months. That she was filming and he was on tour. It be times they would have to be apart. That their work kept them apart and he sucked. She shugged and bit her lip. "I been in Vancover for so long I do love it there...and I love it here" she looked at him knowing he was in LA. "I dont know yet... LA has a past for me..but your there" but Ellies father was in NY too.

Finneas

Finneas nodded his head at her words, understanding what she meant. His life and work was in LA, his family was in LA, it was where he felt at home. And that for her was New York and he had to respect that, as much as it sucked for them to be away from each other, literally on opposite sides of the country. “We’ll figure it out when we get there, there’s no point thinking about it now.” He sighed, placing a kiss on her forehead. “Just know that I love you and that’s not going to change, no matter what. You’re very important to me.”

Melissa

It was going to be hard to work out, but she had hope that they could do it. She really had no plans for after Supergirl ended. That was going to be next year so she had a bit of time to plan. She smiled at him a moment hearing what he said. "i love you too.." she did she was going to make this work. It would be better afer Supergirl for her to be in New York still but she could go to LA for him and herself really. But she would have to work it out with her kids. the kids is what held her back the most, she could leave but her kids fathers did matter too

Finneas

Finneas knew it wasn’t going to be easy but no one said it would. He wasn’t going to give up do easy because he knew this was a relationship worth fighting for. When you really loved someone, you tried everything to be with that person no matter what. Although he was well aware that if it came down to it, Melissa would put her kids first and he had to respect that, he couldn’t blame her for it and he would completely understand. “How are you feeling?” He asked, caressing her cheek.

Melissa

She wanted more then anything to make this work with Finneas. That may mean living in two places having to travel a bit with her kids. That she could be in New York for her kids while Finneas was working. But when Finneas was not she could be in LA with him. it would be hard but she had to plan it somehow. "It hurts but its not to bad...." she looked at him. "I know they should be in to check...things" she smirked

Finneas

Finneas was aware that this would be something they would’ve to work together on, Finneas could travel to New York to be with her whenever he had free time or just rent a studio in New York and work there but his studio was in LA and that’s where he felt comfortable. “Okay do you want me to go call them or should we wait?” He was new when it came to this he had no idea what he was supposed to do, he felt pretty useless just sitting there next to her. But at least it would be a good training to when it was his own kid.

Melissa

It sucked to think about but she didnt want too right now. She had other things going on right now and had a while to plan it. "No no they should come in sometimes" they had to check how far along she was to see if it was moving along like it should. Soon enough she got a text Chris had landed and was on his way to the hospital. "Chris should be here soon" she smiled at him "but again that dont mean you have to go..."

Finneas

Finneas sighed. “Okay ... I just feel pretty useless just sitting here while you’re going through childbirth.” He chuckled, shaking his head. Although deep down he knew that she wanted the support and to not be alone above anything else. “Okay ... you know I’ll be here for as long as you need me Mel.” He paused. “Just want to make sure I really won’t be bothering because this is your moment and his moment and I wanna respect that.”

Melissa

Melissa laughed a little "that's how it is with you boys, you get none of the work during this" she smirked. She may scream at chris and break his hand soon. But really the guys didnt have as much to do during all of this. She held his hand and smiled at him, she did love that he was here it was relaxing to her. she made a face as another one hit, it was't the worst but it wasn't like it didnt hurt

Finneas

Finneas chuckled. “Which is a little unfair because we also made the baby. But let me know if you need anything maybe some water or something.” Being busy helped him be distracted from all the stress he was feeling right now. He held her hand, caressing the back of it with his thumb.

Melissa

She smrked "Yes you get the fun part, women get the painful part" she made a face. "and if we ever get this you carry it next time" she teased. She knew he couldn't ever. But wouldn't hate to have a kid with him in the future. She loved him enough to do that someday.

Finneas

Finneas titled his head to the side and chuckled. “Hey you say that like you don’t get your own fun too.” He paused. “I mean depending on who you do it with, women get their fun too.” He offered her a smile and shrugged his shoulders. “You know I would if I could right? I mean you already went through two of them, would feel horrible to make you go through a third. But I’m not going to lie, I would love to be a father someday.

Melissa

She laughed "Yes we do, but you get the fun only not something big getting pushed out of something tiny pain" she shook her head. 'But Im sure it will be fun....with yoiu" she smiled at him. "I know....but if I want this again... it will be a few years I need a break from it" she had Ellie almost two years ago and now her son. She want another full two years before she try again. "I think you would be a great dad someday Finneas...."

Finneas

Finneas chuckled. “Okay that’s true fair enough. But it’s all worth it I’m sure.” He shrugged his shoulders. “Well you’ll let me know after we try it out.” He winked at her with a smirk before pressing a kiss to her cheek. “I know and I respect that. To be honest I don’t think I would be ready to be a father now. I want to have a stable life before I bring a kid into this world.” He paused. “I don’t know if I would ... it scares me though, thinking that another human being so little and fragile is dependant of me to survive it’s crazy.”

Melissa

"It is, all the pain and how hard it can be for nine months is worth it" it did depend everyone and every time wasn't the same. "I think it will be great" she smirked a him a moment. They still had had sometime because she had heal and everything after the birth of her son. She smiled "That's good and you will get a good taste being around ellie and my son... but it's not the same as when one is yours" she watched her friends kids, her sisters kids but when it came to her own it all changed. "it goes from that to running around after them and hearing them say they love you and dada and mama it's amazing"

Finneas

Finneas could imagine, that all the pain and suffering was worth it in the end, there was nothing like holding your child for the first time or at least he guessed not. "Well I hope I can reach your expectations hopefully you won't be let down." He chuckled, shaking his head. It would still be a while before they could do anything but he wasn't in a hurry anyways. "For sure, I guessed that much. But it will definitely be good for me to get an idea of what it's like to deal with kids and stuff." He chuckled. "Yeah I can imagine."

Melissa

She chuckled a moment at him. "I think you will" she wanted too with him but her body was not ready for that before and not a bit after her son was born. "Ellie already likes you a lot so that's good and Im sure he iwll too" she smiled at him. She took a moment to breath out another round of pain before she looked at him. "and you get to see so mucn now..." seeing her son grow up too.

Finneas

Finneas shrugged his shoulders, hopefully it will be good when the time comes that they'll be intimate for the first time. He did want to give her a good time. "I know, I'm so glad that she does and hopefully the same will happen with him. I know they have their dads but I do want to be there for them too." He sighed when he saw her in pain, he hated it and he wished he could take it all away from her. "I know, it's great."

Melissa

She smiled at him "how cant she not you're amazing" she grinned at him. Soon enough at doctor came in and checked in on her, everything was going well and was moving along fine so far. Once the doctor left she looed at him. She knew she had a couple hours before he would be born and she was excited. After another text came in she knew Chris was here "He's here..." she said looking over Finneas.

Finneas

Finneas rolled his eyes. "I'm not really that amazing ... you're biased." He chuckled, shaking his head. As the doctor came in, Finneas moved a bit to the side to let the doctor have space to check in on Melissa. At her words, he nodded his head. "Do you want me to go get him? Or did you text him the room number?2

Melissa

She smirked "You are too, have you seen yourself" she wnked at him. The doctor check was weird but it had to be done but it was quick thankfully. "No I told him the room number" she said knowing it wont take long for him to get up to the room. It was going be a another hour or two of this sititng, waitng talking for it to all go down. So when Chris got here it would be them doing the same, but with another subject

Finneas

Finneas shook his head. "I'm not but I'm really glad that you think that, I love you." He told her, placing a kiss on her lips for a few moments. He knew it would still be a while before the baby was born so the three of them would be in the same room just keeping each other company. "Okay but ... can you imagine how the nurses and doctors probably think this situation is weird? Like you're here having a baby, your boyfriend is with you but the baby daddy is someone else." He chuckled at the whole situation.

Melissa

She smiled kissing him back, taking the moment in really. "I love you too" she said with a smile. "Please I'm sure they have seen it all over the years and all they care about is me and getitng the baby out and the baby, no who you are and who the other guy is" she said. She was sure that hospitals have seen it all really. Soon there was a knock at the door and she knew it had to be Chris and it was.
