"Get him in and sell Christensen" - Plenty of Chelsea fans react to link with "no-brainer" deal
The uplifting of Chelsea’s transfer ban has changed the game in west London.
No longer is Frank Lampard constrained by the limitations of a transfer embargo and forced to rely on a selection of immensely talented youngsters.
Exactly how the Blues will approach the January window is unclear, but the recent decision to remove the embargo has evoked plenty of intrigue amongst the supporters regarding potential incoming signings.
Defensively the club have left plenty to be desired this season, with 24 goals conceded representing the joint-worst record of the Premier League’s top ten clubs.
Clearly there is work to do if Chelsea are to challenge for the title under Lampard’s tutelage and new signings may well be on the agenda to further their ambitions.
And, in light of a recent report from Sky Sports, the fans have suggested Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake is a player they should be looking to sign.
The report claims that Manchester City are looking to rival Chelsea, who can still exercise a £40m buy-back clause, for the signature of the 24-year-old defender, prompting fans of the latter to call for his return.
Bring him home. A player and a leader we need

Bring him back 💙💙 people claiming they don’t really how good he is but i believe he is better and proven than any of 3 CBs imo pic.twitter.com/PcyOqxukAI

Time to activate the clause and get him in and sell Christensen to make way for him
— Abhijeet Singh (@RagingPhoneix) December 10, 2019
The Netherlands international initially moved to Stamford Bridge in 2011, but he joined the Cherries in 2017 following a succession of loan deals.
Given Mo Salah and Kevin De Bruyne have gone on to achieve glowing success at two of Chelsea’s biggest domestic rivals, it was no surprise to see two fans suggest a transfer decision could once again come back to haunt them if Pep Guardiola beats them to Ake’s signature.
imagine Chelsea not bringing him and then goes to Man City to become a world class CB bcoz he will
— Muted 🇰🇪 (@kevinmute88) December 10, 2019
Let’s not repeat that of De Bruyne. Get Aké back
— Professor_Nkwatia (@Just_Kofi_) December 10, 2019
Finally, two fans viewed the Ake news with consideration over Kalidou Koulibaly at the forefront of their analysis.
One fan suggested that a deal for the 11 cap Netherlands international should be sanctioned if the Napoli star cannot be secured, but another claimed Premier League experience and a four year age gap should swing the decision in Ake’s favour.
For £30-40 million it is a no brainer to take Ake back IF we can’t seal a deal for Koulibaly.
— LoveChelsea (@energytl) December 10, 2019
I am a Senegalese and you know why I would go for Aké instead of Koulibaly? Aké is a pure product of the EPL he knows the league He knows Chelsea and I think he wanna play with us. And he’s showing that he’s a leader! Koulibaly is one of the BIW but he’s not as young as Aké, 28!

"Unbelievable", "Incredible" - Loads of Chelsea fans react to "massive" moment from Blues star
There appears to be a healthy competition emerging between David De Gea and Kepa Arrizabalaga as they fight for Spain’s number one shirt.
The Manchester United goalkeeper was previously the first choice for La Roja, but a poor World Cup in Russia put his spot in danger, and the Chelsea shot-stopper is now giving him something to think about.
The latter has started each of the last four Euro 2020 qualifiers for his national team, including Thursday’s fixture against Romania in Bucharest.
Watch the greatest fan celebration of a goal you will see all season in the video below…
It proved to be a close encounter, but the 2010 World Cup winners eventually came away with a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Sergio Ramos and Paco Alcacer. However, it could have been much different were it not for a fantastic reaction save from the Blues goalkeeper.
It appears that the Chelsea fans were delighted with the stop, and they have taken to Twitter in their droves to share their thoughts. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

Many CFC fans discuss news regarding PL rivals: "Agenda against our club is beyond disgraceful"
Chelsea’s transfer ban has hit them where it hurts.
After breaching the rules of FIFA in regards to signing youth players and playing them in their development squads despite them not having the required paperwork, they were stopped from making signings until next summer.
As such, they have been unable to bring in any new faces other than Mateo Kovacic, who was able to sign on a permanent deal after being registered with the squad last season.
They are not the only team to have been in trouble in regard to this, though. Manchester City have also been investigated, and on Tuesday they were found guilty.
However, they have escaped with just a £315,000 fine, meaning that they have avoided a situation like Chelsea’s.
Unsurprisingly, the Blues fans have not taken the news well, with many claiming football’s governing bodies have always hated the west London outfit. They have taken to Twitter to share their frustration and you can see some of the best comments on the situation below…
Fifa nd Uefa have always hated Chelsea.
