God, the fact that the original Japanese name "Chi" can be translated as both "truth" and "terror"... it's a shame there's no elegant way to localize that, because that's such a perfect distillation of this show. The desire for truth on one side of the coin, the terror of what it will cost to find on the other.

I love Badeni. The guy has no chill and a haircut i absolutely hate, and i absolutely love him. Told a random man he smells of blood, and therefore must be a mercenary, immediately grabbed a book right out of this man's hands, then told him to go away while thinking "haw did i end up here", then proceeded to have a flashback to when he casually fell through a window to get another book, tried speedruning reading it in front of people threatening him, snapped out of this flashback and decided to tell this random man he sent off moments ago that he now has to watch the skies for him. Unhinged behavior. What an icon. Marvelous.
